My appointment at Fitgers Salon was with Brooke Poole for a hair color. Brooke was very competent, knowledgeable, helpful, and interested in a great outcome for me. She explained various options for my hair based on what look I wanted to achieve, and answered all my questions with expertise and kindness. The process was efficient, professional, and the color turned out just as I had hoped. She also was creative and proficient in styling my hair. I highly recommend her and look forward to working with her again.The other Fitgers members were very welcoming, and the salon is beautiful. I will definitely return! Thank you!

I loved what they did for my hair and makeup on my wedding day! First of all, they are basically the only salon in the area that is open on Sunday, which is when I got married. I never did a trial and just showed up since this was a bit of a destination wedding. I didnt really have photos because french braids for weddings isnt very popular, so I told my stylist what I wanted and gave her some clip in extensions. I absolutely loved my hair! Turned out exactly what I was hoping for! The makeup was nice too, I asked for something natural but nice and thats what I got. Would highly recommend.

FANTASTIC SERVICE. I have been working with the stylist Britt and love what she has done with my hair. She has an excellent eye for color and also always gets the cuts exactly how I wanted.Its so wonderful to have a stylist who LISTENS so well and understands what Im going for. Shes also super sweet and is just a pleasure to be around. Makes a big difference when I come in for all-over color, cut, balayage, and styling. Totally makes the hours fly by.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The polish I paid an extra $10 for did not stay on 5 weeks. I was told this was to be expected, but not ahead of time.This was a very expensive pedicure! I wont be back. Be aware.

Fitger’s Salon and Spa graciously helped my family out this holiday season with a truly kind and caring experience. I suffered a brain aneurysm in October and Julie, the salon manager organized and had their annual holiday party, so they could donate the proceeds towards my family for the holiday season, as well as a gift certificate for a day of pampering to me. Thank you for giving my family a Christmas this year when I wasn’t working and we didn’t know what we were going to do to get through the holidays. Julie is truly an angel for doing this. Thank you also to the entire staff and owner for also being so gracious and giving. We are truly blessed by this experience.

This is a very nice Salon. Decor is set up so you arent blinded by too much florescent lighting, you have a bit of room between customers and are relaxed instead of overwhelmed. My stylist is wonderful at doing a full foil on short hair. You can even have a glass of wine! What more could you ask for?

Had my first ever balayage done by Mary and she did a PHENOMENAL job! I almost didnt recognize myself. Ill definitely be going back for any future hair coloring. I also loved the atmosphere and overall layout of the place. The other staff I interacted with were super friendly. Absolutely would recommend!

This was my first time venturing into a salon for a pedicure since the virus struck and although nervous, I couldnt stand my toes any longer. My fears were instantly managed. The salon is following all of the CDC and State of MN guidelines and Maria did a great job. She is fun and knows how to listen.Everyone was masked and I was able to observe the stylists and the care they took in cleaning their stations after a client.A professional salon that knows how to treat clients! I have another appointment next month.

We were staying at Fitgers for only 2 nights. After days of traveling in a car, my shoulders and neck were a mess. Hope provided an excellent targeted massage to relieve the knots and relax the accumulated tensions. What a delightful, calming experience! She was attentive to my responses to her work and suggested additional steps I could take as I continued the trip. Highly recommend!

I felt absolutely fantastic when I left. My Boyfriend bought me a wonderful package with a full massage, manicure and spa pedicure. The Massage Therapist was Amazing, the Hands and Feet Technician was a Lovely Lady who did a Fabulous Job. My feet tingled with delight for 2 hrs after the incredible mint treatment. The space is roomy and relaxing, the women are all friendly and smiley, and they made me very comfortable and I loved every minute of my 3.5 hr pampering session. You wont be disappointed 😁

Always super friendly staff! Ive been going here for years to get my hair, nails, and massages done. My most recent massage was a full relaxation session and it was the stress release I needed. I absolutely loved it! Ive also had my hair dyed many times here from brunette to blonde or red and back to brown. They do such a nice job! I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new salon to fall in love with.

I came in for a fun and relaxing day with my girl friends and thats what I got! After making our appointments we decided to switch a few services from my original plan and the staff was very accommodating to our needs. Its a very nice, clean salon and spa with friendly and talented staff. I had received a facial from Nancy and a massage from Hope. Both ladies were professional, friendly and provided excellent service! We are already planning our next trip back.

Enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing facial which also included a hand/arm and foot massage which was a nice surprise! I left with glowing skin and couldnt of been happier. My boyfriend enjoyed a massage in the same room which was great. He really liked the warm towels wrapped around his feet! We both really enjoyed the services we received and would definitely recommend getting a treatment, especially if staying in the hotel. It was a great way to end our trip to Duluth, we will be back!

Loved it. Great atmosphere, THEY WILL SERVE YOU BEER, my hairstylist was great, and I have paid 3 times the price for a haircut in other salons with this level of quality (as a male at least).

Mother went to get her hair done here. The woman doing her hair had no sense of style whatsoever. Didn’t want to put foils, layers or anything else in the hair. Suggested the worst color, bland if anything. We chose the color ourselves. At the end she asked “how do you want your hair?” My mom said she does half up half down hairstyles mostly. The woman said “do you just wanna do it?” It was really shocking to have a stylist with no style, and discouraging. My mom went to feel like a beauty queen and wasn’t in awe of the results. 140$ for a cut and color, seems off to me. Plus my grandma said that she should’ve received a discount for her first time being there which she didn’t receive. The woman who did her hair was very inexperienced, boring and overall just blah.

Amity gives a great haircut - I have very fine hair and its hard to find a good stylist that understands how texture affects a cut. She is a wizard! Also very good at understanding what you want, even when you dont know the right hair words to use!

After almost 10 years of being loyal to the same hair stylist, I tried Fitgers Salon & Spa after my boyfriend purchased a gift card for me for Christmas. I booked an appointment with whoever was available at the time, which happened to be Kelly. She is a great stylist! She made me feel very comfortable the entire time, listened to what I wanted, and got the look I was going for to a T. The atmosphere is very relaxing and I love the products they used on my hair. I would recommend this salon and specifically Kelly to anyone!

I always see Suzanne for my cut and color. She does a great job with my hair and cuts it knowing how I style it (or lack thereof) at home. She does a nice job with the color also. I also enjoy the rapport with her as well, just the right amount of talkative and gives me time to relax and enjoy the view of lake superior. I would highly recommend her and Fitgers.

My daughter had a destination wedding to Two Harbors from the Twin Cities. We booked an appointment at Fitgers Salon for hair and makeup. We were unable to do a trial run because it was just too far away. We just trusted that they would do a good job. They did a great job!! My daughter looked beautiful! I moved from out of town and requested a stylist who works with curly hair. Mary is the perfect stylist. And she gave me a new hair color too that I love!

My husband and I have both received exemplary service at the Fitgers Salon and Spa. The facial treatment I received was top notch and my husband finally ditched the Sports Clips hair cut for an adult hair cut. He and I love it. The facility is beautiful and the staff always so helpful. I can not say enough good things.

I have had 3 different stylists and had 3 amazing cut and color experiences. They were accommodating to my last minute appointment the last time I called. The one thing I will say is that they are open until 9 however every time I called and asked to have an appointment at 6 I was told the stylist usually get done at 8 so I had to figure out a sitter to cover the half hour before my husband would be home or have him leave work early. So I had to have a 5 or 5:30 appointment. I think if you say you are open until a certain time you should plan to accommodate your clients. Other than that my experience was great!

I have no reservations about recommending Fitgers Salon based on my experience in April 2016-- I only wish someone had told me about it sooner.I had a cut and blowout with Diane. She was great to work with, and my hair turned out just as I had hoped.The salon itself is very clean and pleasant, with large windows that overlook Lake Superior. Its the kind of place that makes you look forward to returning. I went on a weekday, which may have been less crowded than a weekend.

I recently got a gift certificate for Fitgers salon and spa for Mothers day. The facial and pedicure I got were good, but I was really irked that I wasnt able to apply a tip with the gift certificate I was given. I had $20 left on the gift card and instead of being able to tip with it I had to pay cash for a tip and now have a $20 gift card to Fitgers salon that I likely wont use. Money was given to get the gift card, it shouldnt matter how it is applied. Poor form, Fitgers salon.

My teenage, step-daughter received a skin treatment with Christal and since, her skin has improved immensely. Christal has provided skin treatments for my daughters, myself and now my step-daughter for years; she is one of the most knowledgeable people I know. Each time I see her, my heart is full, as she radiates kindness. I am thankful that Kjersten wont have to be self-conscious of her acne-prone skin any longer. Thank you Christal!

My bridal party and I all got our hair down here for my wedding. They were great having enough people so we could all get our hair done at the same time and allowed us to bring in mimosa supplies. The four star rating comes from a couple of us had our hair falling out after a couple hours, if I was to have them do an updo again I would request more pins to keep the hair up. All hairstylist created create styles.

My daughters gave me a gift certificate for my birthday and I decided to get a 90-minute massage with Susan and it was heaven! And very affordable! I was so impressed with her technique, I had my 18-yr old daughter go back the following week and she loved it!

On The Canal Salon is simply excellent. Finding a great hair salon in Duluth is a challenge: but this place is the best in town.Great service, prices and schedule flexibility keep me returning to keep my hair as platinum blonde as this city can make it.I highly recommends it to folks in or visiting Duluth !

I got my hair done for a wedding by a stylist named Melony. She did an AMAZING job. She listened to what I wanted done (a half up half down look with braids inlvoved and the rest curled) and executed it better then I even imagined. The hairspray must’ve been magic because it was a very windy day but my hair stayed curled the whole day, slept on it and it still looked good when I woke up. The atmosphere was very cool. Would recommend for wedding parties for sure too! Everyone’s hair looked awesome!

My bridal party and I had our hair done. My hair was very simple with a lower bun and a vine. I was charged more because I was the bride.My vine fell out within a couple hours and then my bun unraveled. Most pictures have the bad hair.My bridesmaids and other guests said they went back to their rooms and tamed down their hair.There is no cell reception in their studio which is difficult for a bride on her wedding day.

I had a relaxing delightful experience at Fitgers Salon and Spa. My massage therapist did more than just the typical massage. She tried some of the things she had learned through her recent classes that were above and beyond what I expected. I am looking forward to going there again.

Walked in for a dip powder manicure without an appointment. They had one in 90 minutes so I did some shopping and came back. Stephanie did a fantastic job. Shes a perfectionist but still had the old polish off, did a full mani and had me repolished in an hour flat. My nails look terrific, she was a great conversationalist and the salon takes 10% off if youre staying in a hotel. Wish I lived closer than 800 miles away!

As a busy person, knowing the salon is open on the weekends and well past 6 pm makes a HUGE difference. As a new resident to MN I was VERY nervous about getting my hair done by a new stylist. After having had my own stylist I adored when I lived in Denver, I was hesitant. After a few minutes of conversation with Lawkong Vue, I knew my hair was in good hands. My cut and color were great and Ive gotten nothing but compliments from friends & co-workers who have all asked me where I had my hair done. Which I tell them ;)
