I came for Happy Hour but stayed for the amazing service and quality of work! I have been coming to Onyx for about a year now and have trusted them with events such as my wedding, bachelorette party, bridal showers, and other special events. I love the drinks that they make and the upscale feel of the salon too. I am a super picky person when it comes to my nails but I have not had a single complaint about this nail salon!

Beautifully done. I’ve been coming here consistently and my nails always last 3-4 weeks (I’m usually not harsh on them). The drinks are great! Bloody Mary’s or mimosa’s are my favorite. Great service and very kind employees! I’ll be back forsure :)

I’ve been to Onyx nail bar about three or four times and each time they do a great job. With that said, I only get the flawless dipping powder put on my own nails which you can see in the two pics that are posted. I don’t have add-ons or tips on my nails. If your looking for a place that will make your own nails look great, this is the place.

This salon is SO much bigger than I anticipated!! There are a ton of dip color options, more than I expected for sure. The bar is a great plus - they have a menu of specialty drinks or you can order something specific to your preferences. Tons of pedicure chairs and huge TVs. They have super soft blankets in the waxing area also for when you lay down! My nail tech Q-Wendy moved here and she’s been doing my nails for 6+ years, so obviously was going to follow her here. :) Highly recommend booking an appointment with her if you come check this place out!!

This business was amazing. As soon as you walk in and pick your service, you are seated. The atmosphere of the business is very sophisticated and casual.My nail lady was named Tricy and when I say she was the best pedicurist I have ever had. She was kind and took her time to do my feet, especially with cleaning my feet. (I havent had a pedicure in almost 2 years.)If you come PLEAD for her. ( SIDENOTE: I was with a party of 5, and the other pedicurist were great too. My party all enjoyed their experience.)Also I got a drink, the Onyx sunrise with passion fruit instead of orange juice, and it was DELICIOUS!!! 😋If you in the area stop by and be treated like royalty.Oh!! And my toes came out bomb!

Onyx Nail Bar in Frisco is great! I am very picky about my nails and Joann does the best job. She is a perfectionist and wants her clients to leave happy. I cannot say enough positive things about Joann! I had a gel polish pedicure by Tracy today that was also wonderful. The managers are always willing to help and make sure the clients are happy with their services. I highly recommend this nail salon.

The pedicure was awesome but the manicure was trash the person doing it was rushing and really rough with my hands Instead of using an actual bowl to let my nails soak for cuticle removal she placed it in a tin can (not even kidding). Then instead of letting my nails soak in acetone to get dip off she literally plucked it off. I will not be going back she was so rough with my hands and sis really expected a tip after that. The drinks are not strong at all . I had better at other nail salons. But now I feel dumb because I paid for the manicure

Omg ladies this nail shop is Awesome. This is a true retreat. Drinks on deck😁. I must say they were Delicious (Onyx Sunset). Im from Maryland and never seen a Nail shop like this.I rated a 4/5 only reason is because my tech I wasnt impressed with. She seemed to be an amateur. Didnt put effort in the pedicure. I did notice the other tech taking there time giving extra care. I look for that extra deep rub in my feet when they are tense.

The place is the largest nail salon that I had ever been too. Rows of chairs for pedicures, and tables for manicures, and a large selection of colors for polishes and dips. But that is far from the point, so three stars for that.I was helped by Hugo. Once we get to the table he promptly starts to remove my last set with the drill until he gets to the base. There is acrylic still on my nails, no big deal at the time because I thought he was going to soak it off. But no! This man takes a nail tip to start digging underneath the acrylic to RIP OFF the rest of the set. What trained nail tech does that? So I asked him what he was doing. He told me that he was taking it of. When I told him not to do that, he said that to soak off the nail it was an extra five dollars.What? I never heard of that in my life. Needless to say I was mortified.Once he was done soaking the acrylic nails off, he proceeded to manhandle my hands. He dug into my natural nails with the drill, the file, and held my fingers tightly that it was uncomfortable.My nails on the other hand came out decently, but not for the money I paid for them.If I go back, I will not see Hugo again. I am sure there are other, better trained techs there.

I’ve been going here for 2 years now and they just went under new management. They’re so rude on the phone, in person, and everything in between. I’m really upset that I have to find a new place to go to. It’s so bad that even my nail guy left. And everyone that I’ve recommended to go there don’t go anymore. Really disappointed and miss the old managers. They’re were so amazing and sweet.

My usual nail salon was booked so I came here. I always get dip done and it lasts 3-4 weeks. Two of the nails chipped 3 days after getting them done. I went back and had the two fixed. It’s been four days since then and my whole left hand doesn’t have polish on it.

I have only been here a couple of times but today will be my LAST time! I made an appointment a couple of weeks back for the mens package they have advertised which consists of mani, pedi, and mini facial. This was for my boyfriends birthday. So although everything had been confirmed we get here for them to say oh we dont have any packages and also I wanted to add the reflexology they had listed for them to say we dont do that either. Saying the website is old hence false advertisement. I said why wasnt I informed this when I made the appointment? They said oh that person probably didnt know, huh? But they work here!!! Anyway this was embarrassing needless to say wasnt the experience we were looking for. Update your services so that its not so misleading and people dont show up looking crazy.

This place is PHENOMENAL! my last nail salon that i had been faithful to for 14 months lost my business and i hopped around to 4-6 other salons when i found this one. and let me just say - i will never gonna back anywhere else. the staff is SO attentive to you and your needs. they take care of you promptly. you get any alcoholic beverage you would like complimentary but the manicure/pedicure prices are the normal prices you would see anywhere else.when you come in, they have a beautiful arrangement of the nail colors. they give you a pencil to write down the color numbers that you want which sure beats having to bring the whole book or take a useless picture on your phone!when you get a pedicure, they put your shoes on a little metal shelf so they are not just on the ground. they also hang your purse for you on a little purse hook.the chairs for pedicures are also spaced a fair distance apart so you dont feel like you are crammed next to a stranger.every single detail is so intentional and thought out and i am so grateful to have found this place!please visit! you will fall in love instantly from the waterfall to the drinks to the care and detail to the beautiful nails.my dipping powder nails have been on for 3 weeks and have not so much as chipped or lifted!

I heard about Onyx Nail Bar from a coworker last July. I have been coming here at least every 3-4 weeks for my dip nails. I have had a different nail tech each time and every time was a good experience. My last visit though was my favorite tech, I am going back today and plan on asking for her. I would highly recommend Onyx Nail Bar. I am moving in a couple weeks but will probably still drive up here because it’s hard to find a salon you like!!!

This was my first time coming here and it was AMAZING. The atmosphere and the customer service was awesome. I will definitely make that drive from Arlington again. Keep up the great work Onyx.

This is the worst nail salon I’ve ever been to in frisco. I come here because it’s close to where I live but every time I come here I always get really poor service so I really don’t personally get my nails done here anymore. I brought my 5yr old daughter today to get her nails done for school just a color change really for her nails and toes. The lady at the front desk turned both of us around claiming they didn’t have any times available today. It’s 1:30 pm and you mean to tell me there is nothing available for a little girl to get a color change? I will never come back here again. I’ve given this location multiple chances and I end up disappointed every time. I don’t recommend spending your money here. You’ll have a better shot at any other nail salon in frisco.

My dtr & I booked a pedi appt on a Saturday @ 2 pm. We were directed to the chairs and the pedicures began. Mind you, I pay $5 less at Cowboy Nail Bar in Little Elm and receive a far better pedicure than we did at Onxy. At Cowboy, for the basic pedi, @ least you get a 2-3 min foot & leg massage. At Onyx, the massage lasted maybe 3 min total. Truthfully, we chose Onxy because they have a full bar and the pedi would be the icing on the cake. We asked the man walking around who looked like he needed something to do, for a mimosa. He pointed to the bar and mumbled something I couldnt understand...then he continued to serve the other customers, that came in after us, beverages. I ask the lady that was giving me the pedi for a beverage, she again said that man would get the drinks for us. Still, minutes pass no drinks, UNTIL I begin to verbally express my disappointment and stating that we wont be tipping anyone...thats when he slides over to us asking what wed like. When the lady finished my daughters pedi, she gets up and doesnt even say a word. At least my lady thanked me. We r doing them a favor by spending $70 for 2 pedicures and couldve taken our business elsewhere.Bottom line, I will nvr return to Onyx and Ill urge my friends, associates, relatives and colleagues to do the same.

I got dip ombré nails/ gel pedi. The color was so light could barely see it, then one of my nails broke within 5 days of getting them done. My bf got mani/ pedi. His clear polish chipped off the same week. Paid over $400.00 with tip. Beware!!!

All employees are sweet, helpful, and professional. It’s always clean and decorated nicely. They take their time and do great work every single time! This salon always knows what styles are on trend. I’ve been coming here since I moved to Frisco in July. I won’t go anywhere else!! No where else compares ☺️ 5 stars! I had Liam today, he is a perfectionist and I am very happy with his work yet again.

My feet are actually in worse shape than when I came in. The lady doing my nails didn’t use the gel on my feet when she was removing the calluses so she didn’t actually remove the calluses and just made them worse. My feet are actually catching on my sheets which they weren’t before. She also didn’t massage my feet at all? She massaged my legs but not my feet. I asked her to please fix my heels because I noticed that my feet were still so rough and she decided to try and take a nail file to them and called it a day. I called the manager after I left and he said to come back right now and I let him know that I can’t because I have to go pick up my two-year-old daughter from my moms and he told me well I’d I can’t come back right now there is no way to verify that she didn’t do a good job on my feet. No apology, no goodwill gesture for the future. Just questioning my integrity and unwilling to do anything to right this wrong. Terrible service. I will definitely not be going back. If you’d like your feet to be smoother than when you came in, I wouldn’t recommend going back either

Waited 30 minutes even though I made an appointment. I got basic manicure ( u can’t go wrong with a basic manicure with no design) but the Quality of the work is very bad. Left with the tip of my nails being chalky and sharp. Didn’t remove cuticles. And just felt like I just came to get color on my nail without any service.

I came here for the first time a few days ago on a whim (Im new to the area and didnt know of many spots) and will definitely be making this my go-to salon!! They got me in for a pedicure right away, had plenty of chairs, and thought they did a great job! I also love that they can bring you drinks and seem to have great service.

May 18: Update from this visit! I ended up back at Onyz after a call from management expressing desire to make things better. My tech-Joann did a great job! Perfect beautiful dip powder! My thanks to Onyx Frisco for showing me that places do want to know the customer is happy with their work! Will be back again!!!May 16: I have been here before. So I was glad to come back. However, my tech was very fast with applying the dip powder. He only did parts of the nail at a time. Like the middle area of the nail first and applied several coats while the rest didn’t get any. Then when he finally did the other areas of the nail, they got less coverage of the powder. So the color isn’t consistent and very light (you can see through it at the top and at the base) instead of that nice bold color you get with dip powder. I’ve had dip powder nails 3 years. Have never had this particular issue. Dissatisfied to say the least! I expected more from this Nail place!I want to go back and tell them to redo but I don’t think it would make a difference.

I come here all the time and the last few times the owners wife has just not been very nice. The last time I came and called ahead and they weren’t ready which okay I get it your busier. So we waited and I asked that my friend and I sit close to each other. She was doing a pedi and I was just doing my nails and they said well we can’t sit you in a chair but we can put you close like table next to the chairs. So she went to seat us and stuck me across the room from her and I said no I was told I can sit close to her at a table and her response was “who said that because I make the rules here” okay. Then I was telling the one doing my nails and he/she (I don’t want anyone in trouble) even said yea she has been rude to customers and also she is being rude to us too. Okay so if you want to continue to stay in business you probably don’t want to run off your clients and you DEFINITELY need to treat your employees with respect!!

Went in today for simple gel manicure. They tried to upsell me the entire time I was checking in. Was asked three different times in the first five minutes I was there about a pedicure. I opted for the gel manicure with paraffin wax. I get to the end of the manicure and they didn’t even use paraffin wax so after all of that time of them sitting there trying to upgrade me they didn’t even do the job that I wanted done. Then after getting home and inspecting my nails in better lighting the polish is so uneven it actually dips in the middle of my nail and it’s thicker at the nailbed and at the tip. I will be asking for a refund and I want this nail polish taken off. Then I’ll take my money elsewhere.

I absolutely love coming here!! Natalie does my nails with nexgen-always perfect and last!! Mai does my pedicures, which are the best ever!! Everyone is always very friendly and it is always clean.

BEWARE!!! This was my 3rd time to have NexGen nails done at Onyx. The past two times have been decent. Like others they have complained they have no sense of time. This is not why Im so upset though. The technician Jimmy absolutely butchered my nail beds. All but TWO fingers were left without a cut or abrasion. I told the person at the front desk what had happened. I received 20% off my service and a $10 gift card, I guess this was for my troubles. The front desk person told me he would talk to the nail tech. 3 days later I am still hurting and bleeding off and on. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Such a beautiful and clean setting. I have traveled and been a walk-in client many places this year despite COVID; NYC, Atlanta, Florida, Tennessee, and I have to say of all the places...even home, this was the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had! I was taken care of and tended too at every turn and with such professionalism and friendliness. Vickie did my manicure and a neck and back massage while Hugo did my pedicure. Both of them had the perfect amount of pressure and just such a relaxing touch, which after a long day of travel, meant more then they realized. They spent so much time and effort in pouring out their energy so that my nails not only looked great, but I felt great too! Really cannot say enough about how impressed I was with this business! This was my first visit and I wasnt impressed. The staff was kinda rude and the guy who did my pedicure did a horrible job. I had to go back to have him repaint them. The little mean lady who is the manager had an attitude. Not sure if Ill give them a 2nd chance.

My family and I have been coming here since it opened. I typically get nexgen manicure, they have plenty of choices like sparkly to color changing. Nothing but good things to say, everyone is friendly and helpful. The manger is the sweetest she can be. It is very clean and I would definitely recommend this nail bar.

Nice place. Nice finish out with a sophisticated look. Service was good and quite a selection of colors. The front desk seemed a little chaotic though. I told them when i got there I was waiting on friends and I probably had 3 different people come up and try to get me to sign in even though I already had. I really didnt even get why I had to sign in. I just wrote my name and picked what i wanted. I dont know why I couldnt verbally do that as they didnt do anything with the paper. The bartender thing was cool but when they limit you to just one tiny glass, it lost the glamour. I paid $40 for a pedicure that included massage and paraffin wax - the pink Cosmo. It was ok overall, but i wish he had taken more time on the wax and massage.

And right after sitting down, I got offered a complimentary drink (they have a full bar!) they take their time, and make sure everything feels and looks good. If you set up an appointment you get right in. Super clean and great atmosphere. Overall a great experience and much needed me time. Will definitely come back.

I love coming to this nail salon! I had been searching high and low for a good nail salon and this one is the best one I’ve come across! Every time I come here they do an amazing job and they’re always very professional and kind.

I was a client here for over 3 years. Staff was always nice and accommodating. However, the manager, Christine, was often very rude to the employees and guests. The turnover rate there is the highest I have ever experienced.Recently, I was asked to leave after having called to schedule an appointment. Christine had one of the men that booked my appointment over the phone say that all my previous nail techs no longer worked there. So I should go like they did.All too happy to patronize a salon that respects me and my loyalty.Also, management refuses to addSimple colors to the repertoire, like rose gold.Found another salon that day and finally got the rise gold I had been missing for over 3 years.Thank you Villa Nails & Spa❤️

Moved to the Onyx after going to another nail bar for three years who had a lot of turnover. The energy is great here. Nice people who seem to want to make you happy. They even turned on the Aggie game for me dudes. Great bar and service too. Not often you see a cocktail menu in a nail bar.

So my girlfriend and I decided to have a little spa day and she took me to this nail salon I’ve never been to before. I’ve always gone to Grand Nail salon in Frisco for like 6 years. After today I will be going to onyx Nails!!! The vibes of the place were just clean and soothing and comfortable and big. I never know what to do or say at nail salon and they directed me where to go and what to do so nicely. I also knew one of my old nail techs there Kimberly!! But I absolutely loved Julie who did my toes and Ron who did my nails. I showed a picture of a short coffin nail and he NAILED IT!! I LOVE Onyx Nail Bar! I’ve been going here for over a year and they always do a perfect job every time! Nexgen, pedicure, manicure, you name it, it’ll be done great no matter what. Natalie is amazing. She does a fantastic job on my nexgen nails, and we’ve been doing this super fabulous glitter flakes technique that you will absolutely love. (Bonus - they have a full bar)

The metroplex is full of incredible and unique nail salons, but none can beat Onyx! Each location has a FULL bar, not just beer and wine folks - They have it ALL! I could stop there, because not much else matters, right?! ;)The staff are efficient and very talented. The NexGen nail powder is great and they have quite an expansive selection of colors. I would highly recommend Jazmine, John or Tam as your technician. I have been going to them for over a year and am never disappointed. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment! Tia does my nexgen nails and they are perfection, they lasted a month last time. Kim did my pedicure today and my feet look great, she got all of my hangnails too. Full bar makes it fun. They are also very clean and keep everyone distanced.

First of all I just wanna say this shop is amazing feels like your in Vegas with there full bar and everyone was so nice! The receptionist “Eric” was very helpful got my colors to match. I will comeback remember to call in advance for an appointment ask for Ron for your nails his really good.

The best nail place I have been too. The service is top of rate I get service from Cristina she Is excellent I highly recommend you to come to this job she does a excellent job.

This. Place.🙌🏼 LOVE everything about it! They have a full bar, almost as big as one you would find in a night club, and can literally service about 80 people at a time if they had enough techs to do it all at one time! Haha. It’s huge; never seen a nail salon have so many mani and pedi stations! Super clean and everyone was incredibly kind! I had to go with a more subtle and professional route when I got them done here and I had no idea what I wanted and the sweet girl at the counter went and literally helped me look at all of their designs and went back and forth with me and stuck by my indecisive self! Can’t beat that! :)

Onyx nails did a great job treating my sister and I to a post quarantine pedicure and dip nails. They look so even and the shape is perfect. The salon had so much space and so many colors to choose from. Definitely going back soon...ask for Ron!
