Went in for a haircut. I have a wedding in 2 weeks and needed to look my best. I’ll be honest, it was my first time as a white guy going to a black barber.Wow. That’s all I can say. I have been to salons, barbers, and other places. I’ve never had a hair cut this good. Ever.Very pleased with all aspects of the haircut.Thanks

Great atmosphere its really a one stop shop... you can get your hair and nails done and there is a barbershop and get a outfit for the night!!!! Love this place the owner is very pleasant 😊

Worst sewin I have ever had. Stylist was booked solid and her assistant had to braid my hair. Tightest and most uncomfortable braids ever! Then I took 3 hair bundles and she used only one. I was there 5 hours. Both ladies were very nice....but not pleased with the poor quality of weave install and the tomato red welts I have on my scalp.

I wish I could give this place negative stars! Went to get my hair done on 08/04/18 at KiEssence Grande Beauty & Barber on Hamilton Rd. This is what I got. A super bad color, chemical burns and out of $150. Stylist (Louis) wont admit to beyond bad job, said he thought I looked cute and refuses refund but offered to fix. My scalp and hair is in too bad of shape to fix right now as I have open sores and Im sorry but Im am not going to risk it being made even worse. Also, I am not obligated to let someone who is clearly incompetent work on my head again. I asked for a refund VERY nicely twice and was told no. I got my hair done because I was going to a party and this is how I had to attend. This is beyond embarrassing and I have to go to work in a professional setting and manage my courtrooms, deal with attorneys, judges, magistrates, etc. looking like a clown. I later tried calling the shop to speak to the owner/manager 3 times and was told she was unavailable each time. I then reached out via the business facebook page and sent a message along with these photos asking the owner/management to contact me. My message was viewed and yet no one reached out to me. I waited 10 days in good faith to give them a chance to rectify the issue before posting this review. Apparently this establishment is all about making money and not about providing quality service/product including customer service. I am out of $300 due to this horrible service as I had to go to a different shop to get a deep condition and the cut I wanted all along and invest in a quality wig which I now have to wear until my hair and scalp can handle more color at a later date. I will never return to this establishment and I would suggest others be extremely wary of this place.

KiEssence is lively. By that I mean there is always laughter and goofiness from the stylists as they care for their clients. Ive been attending for about 4 years now...been with the same barber. The music is usually Gospel or R&B...its a vibe as the kids say. Unless I move, Ill be sticking with KiEssence for awhile.

New to the city of Columbus, while on the hunt for a good nail tech I searched the web, this salon popped up. Excited to have found what seemingly looked like a good fit, I booked on style seat a tech by the name of Maria on 01/23/2019. Going forward I get there and met with a greeting. Sat and advise the nail tech Im big on shape and very precise on having my nails a certain Way or close to it, I even showed a picture of how my nails usually are. I told her tapered square. She debated that it was no such shape. insisted that it was coffin shape. She begins to take the gel off. (Not minding) slightly rough she adjust my elbow and my hand to her liking. I dont know if the tool she used was old, or powered to high, but it was hot on my nails of which I told her. She threw away the old file. continuing she drills off the polish with me having some cuticle cuts (expected.. but these bleed and sting) I told her as she was putting on the acrylic protector that it was stinging. She said she couldnt do anything about that, I told her it was because she had cut me. being patient, Hoping for a great outcome because I have to work the next day and my job requires my nails to be in tact I stayed. Getting to the shape, The acrylic was thick (not a problem because you want nails to be secure) And coffin shaped. At this point Im just ready to get out of her chair. Still being rough with drill and adjusting my whole arm, We are finally polishing. saying in a condescending tone, she instruct/demands me to put nail in light put it in. Take it out. We get done and Im not pleased at all I just want to pay and get out. I asked what my total was she tells me 60$. I was shocked at this point. I dont mind paying big money for my nails at all, I take pride in my hands looking good. But really 60$ for a fill in two repairs and gel polish?? Today is 01/26/2019 and my nails look a nasty mess . The gel color has become filthy, my cuticles are bruised and one of my nails are cracked . Over all I give this salon 0 stars I was over charged, customer service was horrible. she was extremely rough and quality of work is not up to par. Looking back there are bad reviews with similar situation to mine under her on style seat they are telling the truth!!!! Read your reviews people!!!!!!! I dont do reviews but I had to especially if I can prove it with pictures. And it sucks because I want to support my people, but with service like this, you have no choice sometime but to go to people outside of your community of people.

Was in the Easton area for a finance conference and needed an emergency on my natural hair. I was blessed with a same day appointment with Galen and was given a silk press of a lifetime. I have a very difficult texture and I have never seen my edges so straight. Recieved so many compliments for the rest of the conference. Thanks Galen, I will be calling you when Im back in town.

The shop itself is nice. However when it comes to the things customers need not so much. Its never any paper towels and everytime its time for me to get a pedicure😑 I CANT! Because only one chair is working. Things could be so much better in the nail room. Ive been told since December new chairs would be in. The owners stay on trips. Take care of home first. Hopefully things will change soon.

Atmosphere is always great. Can have multiple services done here. Ahleeyah works there and does my eyebrows. Shes all the way in the back but she does exceptionally well every single time. Its a treat. I love it

I went there fresh from Los Angeles to get my sons hair cut and they looked at us like we had a foot growing out of our heads and they only had one barber in the place at the time. Not very good with new or walk in clients I guess. But it worked out we have a fly barber now that well have until we return to Cali. They missed out on loyal customers by being weird and snotty.
