I came with a friend and we called ahead and there was no wait, which was nice. We asked to sit next to each other and were told we could not, no big deal... except then another woman was seated in the empty chair next to me. So why couldnt we sit together? My tech was actually very nice, but kept taking her mask off. The water used to soak my old dip off was also way too hot for comfort. After my nails were done, my tech put oil on my hands and they all smeared so she had to redo the top coat, not a huge deal, but it did seem like they took forever to dry. The thing I could not believe were the prices. I paid $15 to have my old dip soaked off, on top of a $50 basic dip manicure (no tips, or artwork, etc). I asked for clarification on the pricing and was told this is how we do it here. I did like how my nails turned out, but they are now cracked and chipping less than a week later. This manicure was not work spending almost 2 hours and $70+ on.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I have been coming here for over five years now and the services have continued to decline. Almost all of the nail technicians in this shop are asian and they are so rude. The pedicures are so rushed and they continue to change the price on the price list every time I come. I have tried to give this shop chance after chance and I have always tipped 20% or more to these people. Not anymore! Take your money elsewhere.

My main issue with this place is how RUSHED the services are. For the price tag attached you should feel relaxed and pampered. They are always out of the colors I pick and the job itself is just not good enough for how much it cost. They also do not tell you how much extra the gel is going to be so it adds to confusion at check out time. Environment is a little hectic too. I would take your money elsewhere to receive the relaxation you deserve!

I got a full set and a pedicure with Amy. She is amazing, creative and very professional! I got very cute nails and my pedicure was excellent! The best I’ve had in Columbus! The pedicure chairs are also massage chairs 🤣 I didn’t want to leave ❤️

This salon has fallen off. The guy that walks around end never does nails is rude. I won’t be coming back** update** I will be calling the board of cosmetology! I got a fungus from getting my nails and toes done at this dirty/ nasty & unsanitary salon!

They hand you a price list to choose from while in the chair. We chose a pedicure for $55. Pretty shocking when you go to pay and its over $80. $20 upgrade for gel that they dont have listed and they didnt mention it to any of us. Pedicure was nice, I thought I might return, but not after feeling I was taken advantage of.

I had an embarrassingly terrible experience at this establishment. The nail tech skipped several steps when completing my pedicure. When I asked her about skipping the steps, she stated that I missed the steps because I was on the phone. This was not true. Later, she told the other employee that I would not be getting a manicure because I did not have time, which was also not true. Later when I went to inform the manager of my experience, the technician interrupted me and began to yell in my face. The manager looked at me and shrugged her shoulders. She then walked away, leaving the original technician to shout at me. She continued to shout at me while I paid until I requested a refund for my payment. Once I requested a refund, she blocked me from leaving the establishment and continued to shout in my face while crying and pointing at me. At one point, I thought she was going to assault me. The entire experience was embarrassing and degrading. Once I stepped around the technician to leave, she continued to pursue me, shouting as I left the establishment. This all happened without any intervention from management or anyone else. Prior to this incident, I frequented this establishment, but after such an experience, I recommend anyone look elsewhere for services.

They made me pay before even doing my nails and I found that really weird since I was the only one in the place who had to do that. Other than that, the lady who did my nails not only put a very thin layer of polish on but she also smudged it and said it would fix when it fully dried. It didn’t obviously but yeah not good and very overpriced for the quality

I came here wanting ombre looking acrylic nails and my heart dropped to find out that it costs more than $70 and the nail tech tells me this when she’s almost done. I paid an extra $20 just to have my toe nails painted with regular paint and no pedicure, then the paint started chipping within the same day. The total came up to about $100 with taxes included for nails that didn’t look the best and a rushed job. I’m never going back again.

I was skeptical of going here because of the reviews and I should have listened.... I got a mani/pedi and went back the next day to get my nails and feet fixed because she didn’t paint all the way down to my cuticle. When I told them they questioned if I was there the night before and asked where I sat.....smh Long story short, I spent $75 for my nails/feet to last 3 days and was left with a cut on my toe from her aggressively using the foot buffer and you can still see the top layer of nail polish. I’m never going back.

I’ve come to this salon for over 8 years due to the location and never needing an appointment. The quality of service honestly just depends on who you get. Your nails could be rushed, crooked, paint not even or you can get a technician that really takes their time. Luck of the draw. Same with eyebrows. Some technicians do a great job while others over wax or aren’t even. You get what you get for an easy walk-in service.

They did an awesome job on our manicure and pedicure. The only issue, the place is beautiful, but its dirty. Its getting so worn down. Everything is dirty, chairs need wiped down. They do not disinfect anything you touch. It would be top notch if they took better pride in their own tools and making sure their areas were clean. They had a great selection of nail color.

Went in for pedi and balance. Was seevices for pedi, then I was told the nail tech did not know how to do acrylic nails and it would be another 2 hour wait for my nails to be serviced. The nail tech rushed through my pedicure. My day of pampering myself was definitely ruined.I will never go back.

The have done a wonderful job. My mom and I was looking for a place to get our nails done late in the afternoon and this place was amazing we came in at 815p and there wasnt many workers left but they went beyond their closing time to get my mom and I done. I got a full set here the lady who did my nails she was a bit rude but I would definitely go again for me. The nail technician name was Tara. My boyfriend got a manicure and it SUCKED Im so sorry but it did, the nail technician made his fingers look worst her name was Elizabeth she was extremely friendly but for 19.95 she did a very distasteful job. She left dirt under his nail and I have mood gel, it changes colors with hot or cold body heat or water.

Expensive. However the lady turned my bear claw mountain runner into a normal American toe. Awesome job. My stuff was jacked up. Im talking sex with socks on and now its normal. Got a Mani Pedi. Felt great message chairs soft tunes. Yeah do this.

The tech was super sweet, but did a bad job 😅 my nails are super thick and bubbly- nothing was clean, there was some weird hair on the nail clipper and icky stuff everywhere, didn’t feel sanitary, but they did at least temp screen at the door. She also made me bleed on one nail. They didn’t have a lot of dip powder color choices. Not horrible but also not at all worth $50

Will never go back nor recommend. i got medium acrylics (all different shapes) and they didn’t know how to do a simple smiley face, my nails were crooked + terribly shaped (more almond but i asked for coffin), my artist even started on another customer while my nails were drying and absolutely forgot about me. when me and my boyfriend got the attention of another artists (they rudely told us to wait the first time) she remembered she still had me. their attitudes were terrible and i didn’t even finish my nails because i was so irritated. $10 for a design per nail and they didn’t even know how to do it! made both of my pinky’s bleed and my index finger has a dent from the acrylic. avoid it!!! go to the other nail salon not too far from this one.

I went in as a walk-in. I received excellent service. I got a gel manicure and regular polish pedicure. I was treated with kindness and respect. My nails looked beautiful on the way out. Will be returning because my first chip on my polish occurred more than 3 weeks after my service.

Poor quality. Cannot recommend. Got full set, with gel polish, coffin shaped while visiting Columbus for a wedding on Saturday Nov 9- total cost $50. I even gave a $10 tip because I really liked the way they looked. However, the paint started peeling on Sun Nov 10. First it was my thumb. Now its all of my nails and less than a week later Ill have to get my nails completely repainted.

It was not very good I paid for me and my two daughters and they refused to put any design on our nails or do ombre unless we paid an extra $20 to get gel nail polish and they asked us to gel nail polish at least three or four different times and I already spent $200 on all three of us I will never ever go there again

The pedicure was good but as soon as I went over to get a full set the women I had put cuts on all my fingers ignored what I asked for multiple times and was very rude when I asked for what I wanted!!!! I also had glue and nail polish all over my fingers and she didn’t even try to clean it off!!! I’ve been to some bad nail salons but this was the worst!! I paid 247.25 for something I didn’t even want!!! And when I said something at the register they didn’t say a word about it!!! I would never recommend this nail salon to anyone!

Dont go here! I got a new set of nails by Jenny, they were very bumpy, they had dents in them. I went back requested a different lady to fix them, they look much better only leaving one nail with a dent. About a week later a piece of the acrylic chipped off. They pretty much try to make you get gel polish, i declined. The only positive thing i can say is my polish is still on and it looks great. Eye brow lady was friendly until she tried to take a $10 tip for brows, i said no just take $5. She never said another word to me after that, she just walked from me.

Really sad how poor the customer service is here. The only reason I visited as often as I had is because they let clients in up until 8:59pm, and Im always off work late. But the first time I decide to complain, and just be truthful about my service, and upfront about the quality of the work, they spazzed out on me completely. Called security and the police and flat out lied on me. I never left. I never said I wouldnt pay. I never cursed. I never got in her face. All lies, because I complained about the quality of the work, and suggested that she get more training prior to offering this specialty nail service. She insisted that I allow her to remove them and I said no. I was put out, banned from the salon and they refused to allow me to pay. They are unprofessional, racist, and simply cannot handle constructive criticism. Do not get ombre nails there they dont know how to do therm. Zoom in on the attached pic. They speak for themselves.

Usually I love this place and I’m not a frequent flyer but I went for a manicure with regular polish recently and the polish was applied so poorly. The second layer didn’t cover my whole nail and it’s all uneven around the edges on every finger. If I wasn’t in a rush, I would have asked for it to be redone by a different tech. Will come again though but I’ll be double checking their work.

They helped repair the nails that another salon had completely ruined. Incredibly friendly staff and a very welcoming and chic place that did a fantastic job on my girlfriends nails for a reasonable price. Definitely a nice place to go and treat yourself

Very relaxing and comfortable space. Well taken care of and beautiful pedicure! I loved this place the day of my pedicure, which was Thursday. Saturday the polish was completely gone from 1 toe.... that 2 days later! Today is day 5 post pedicure and I have 3 types with no polish! Not chipped, all the polish is gone! My girlfriend that I went with is having the same issues!

$53 Gel polish manicure began cracking and chipping in three days. The redo experience was about as bad as the first, premature chipping of gel polish. The quality of the product used by Avalon is inferior garbage. Not recommended.

This place is wonderful! I went here because I hadnt had a manicure in so long and they had good reviews, and let me tell you, I do not regret my decision! The service was great, I got in in less than 5 minutes, and they were busy. The technician I had was so gentle on my nails and made a nice conversation. The other staff I encountered were also kind. Not only did she do a great job on my nails, but they have such a great selection of colors! The place is beautiful as well! I am now currently still wearing the gel I got done at Avalon and it is still like new. No chips, no peeling, nothing. And its been 1 month!! This is the best service and quality of nail polish I have ever received! I highly recommend!

I got a pedi and was told twice that my toe nails were too short as she continued to file them down more and more lol. I also got a full set which doesn’t look too bad but the color I chose didn’t match the model. Very overpriced!!!

Would never recommend - they started adding services to my manicure without even asking if I wanted them, and casually not mentioning that they werent included in what I asked for. Then acted like they didnt understand what I was saying when I tried to explain this when I went to pay and was charged way more than I expected. The lady giving me a manicure rubbed the skin raw off the side of my finger because she was rushing through filing my nails and filed my skin instead. Just be sure to always be explicitly clear with what you want if you go - they take advantage if you dont!

I went to get a pedi and a balance two days ago..for starters I signed in first because I had three ppl with me but I needed a balance as well so I wanted to get finished first..DIDNT HAPPEN! they still started my pedi 30 min after everyone else’s. My balance was rushed because I was the last person in the shop and my GEL POLISH is chipping off of every nail already 😒

There were 5 of us that went to get mani/pedi everything seemed great at first. When we were choosing pedicure packages, I was quoted that it was going to cost me over $100 for gel coat on my 5 yr old daughters lil nails. I think they overheard me make a comment to my older daughter joking that I was going to spend up to $400. We were laughing and joking bc she is always expensive. I opted out of the gel for her. I was tired and just trying to have a great experience with my daughters and family. They were really good with my youngest daughter especially considering she didn’t sit still the greatest. They suggested a dip instead of acrylic nails, said it was better. They ended up very thick. They yellowed extremely bad within 24 hrs!! My oldest daughters toes were not even fully covered. It’s only been about a week now and they hurt so bad and are lifting that I am going to need to have them soaked off. However that’s not even the bad part... I have absolutely no clue what I paid for. There was so much chaos. My 5 year old wanted to pay for her own when she was done but they would not let her...she tried about 5 times and they literally told her to wait and they would take the total at the end. I had clearly said it was coming out of her account but whatever... There were pieces of paper being handed up and numbers punched in on a handheld calculator when we were checking out....there were also two other people on line behind me waiting. She told me $370!!$370 for a 5 yr old mani/pedi, a non polished set of coffin nails, two gel pedis and one dip set that yellowed within 24hrs and was made fun about at work.... still confused over this

Decided to stop here with two of my close friends for my birthday. It was a Saturday so I understand they’re busy, so we put our names down and we’re told it would be 30 minutes. ONE HOUR LATER, we still hadn’t been taken back. All we wanted was a basic pedicure and my friend wanted a shellac polish change. The nail technician helping my friend match her gel polish to the regular polish on her toes, was no help. She chose 4 different colors and he kept coming back saying they no longer had that color.Once we finally got to sit down for our pedicure you had to pay an extra $10 for callus removal and a towel to be wrapped around your legs...a shellac polish change was $35!! A manicure was $40... we ended up spending over 2 hours here for something that should not have taken that long. My toenails aren’t shaped well whatsoever. They have sharp edges and don’t look great. The staff wasn’t friendly whatsoever and I just wish the girl at the front would have been more accurate with the wait time. Such a waste of money and so incredibly disappointing visit for my birthday... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

I went to Avalon and one of the nail specialist told me that none of the staff will do my nails because I look mean and I am too picky. SPEND YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT ANTHONY VINCE. They do way better service and are willing to do your nails, how you want them. Better quality nails.

HORRIBLE! Nail tech made up price and asked me before service if I could afford the $50 balance. I agreed. She repaired my two thumb nails and they looked horrible! As she was painting my nails, I informed her that the polish was bubbly and didn’t look well. I asked was it cheap, she rudely grabbed my nail and said no. I asked her to repaint and she refused. I got my nails done on Saturday evening around 8pm, but Sunday around noon, two or my nails had broke. I will never again return!

This has always and will always be my go to place for nails and toes. This is high class work with an affordable price not to mention very clean and sterile. If I were to suggest anywhere for anyone to go to get nails toes or eyebrows done it would always be to Avalon!

Ive had my gel manicure on for 3 weeks (too long I know) but thats three weeks with no cracks, no chips, no nothing! Aside from the new growth of my natural nail, the paint/gel still looks flawless.

By far the best nail salon in the Columbus area! I got a gel manicure and it lasted for 4 weeks in conditions like chlorine pools, construction work, and more without any chips or peeling. I could not be more pleased and happy with the staff and services!

Went there after Modern nails completely jacked my nails AND were extremely rude! If you want to know what happened, I wrote a review for them too.. govthere and read it. I was absolutely saved by Avalon nails! The last there fixed my nails and did them EXACTLY the way I wanted them and looked even better than expected! My night was a happy one that weekend. Came here to get a full set and pedicure for a friends bachelorette weekend. It was a pleasant visit. The ladies that work there are nice and sweet. I would recommend that you make an appointment before, if possible.

Don’t go to this place. I want there yesterday my nails where not done right. After I sat under nail dryer I told them this was a terrible job either redo it or give me my money back. The guy said my nails we deformed and he was very rude and disrespectful. I asked for the manager he said he was the manager. They won’t give me my money back and they charged me $40 for nothing. It was my first and last time. DO NOT GO THERE. Balance is not $22.00 they lairs.

People were nice, services were over priced. I got a gel manicure that took longer than most places, was not done nicely, and the end result was sub-par. Nail polish was left on my fingers, the polish was not applied evenly, and the matte finish was not evenly applied making my nails look like they were painted at home. I think this place is a lower quality nail salon and that there are better around compared to this one.

I’ve been here twice to get acrylics and the technician, Becka, is always a delight and does an amazing job. The place is very nice and they have a great selection of colors to choose from. Fair pricing, and very sweet staff. Keep it up, y’all are great

My friend and I had a great experience with Tina and Becka tonight. Tina did a fabulous job! Becka did as well and she has a perky personality which is fun. I’ve also been in previously and have had Tracy do my nails. She’s been great despite what these other reviews say; she’s always been pleasant with me and she’s always done a great job. The only time I’ve had a problem is with a guy who filed one nail a little too much.

Lynn at Avalon is simply the best. Her attention to detail, consistency, and great service keep me coming back and leaving happier than I expected to! Plus, my gel manicure lasts easily 6 weeks. Love it here!

I called to make an appointment for a Saturday am for 3 people and there was no fuss. The staff is so friendly always humble, quick, efficient, and they do a great job. I will continue being a loyal customer and I highly recommend this place.

I wish I could give this 0 stars! My sister and I walked in on a last minute basis so I understand the rush and inconsiderate attitudes we got because we aren’t regulars and they probably think we aren’t coming back!! Boy are they right! At first the service was decent the greeting was pleasant they are a very busy place seeing as they’re located within shopping stores I can credit them for the fact that they see lots of people and they’re open late but the job done on both my sisters and my nails is absolutely ridiculous the acrylic on my nails were so thick it looked like I placed chicklets on my hands and passed them as nails when I asked the guy to to file them down he acted like it was a problem to correct them and blamed me. My sisters nails had the same exact problem when asked to fix hers the nail tech had an attitude as well! I’m just upset that their customer service didn’t make up for the poor talent.

Brought my daughter there to get her nails done. They did most of the job, then began behaving strangly and demanded payment before they would put the nail polish on. The cost was only $40 but they seemed to think they would be ripped off. That must be a lot of money to these people. As for they quality of the work, its unfortunate that they dont have good talent there. The acrylic nails were uneven and my daughter said that I could have done a better finish with the polish. Too bad I didnt know what $40 gets you in the nail business because Im willing to pay more than that for quality work. Got better quality at Polaris a couple of years ago where the grumpy old Chinese guy put a fantastic gel coat on bare nails for the same $40.

My friends and I made appointments at 130 today. We got there at 120 and we were seated immediately. My two friends got their pedicures started right away. I sat and soaked my feet for 20 minutes before my friend asked if I was going to get service. They realized they made a mistake and I had been skipped after she pointed it out. The gentleman who skipped me came over and left the client he had already started. Was hoping the experience would improve after that. I paid 50$ for the cappuccino pedicure for the reason of the “extended massage” in the description. The gentleman went so fast through the entire service I finished at the same time as one of my friends who started 25 minutes prior. When I was checking out, I asked why I hadn’t gotten a massage and gentleman who did my pedicure said he did do one I “was too busy talking to pay attention” and then walked away speaking loudly in his language. I was still charged the entire 53.75$ despite waiting 20 min to get service once I was seated and a 30 second massage. Disappointed in the service and will not be back.

My tech, Dan made it a point to let me know that my nail color looked good on black people. Other than that comment, he did a great job paying attention to each nail individually and was very happy and pleasant throughout the process

Loved this salon. Theyre open until 10 pm on Fridays and I got there right about ten, they still took me in and did my mani pedi and did it well. I will definitely be back.

Went in on Thursday and had my nails balanced and gel polished by Tracy. Could tell she was brand new because she kept burning me with the drill when she was filing. Left with nails very lumpy and thick on one side and thin on the other. Gel polish is bubbly too. By Sunday 2 nails were broke and gel polish chipping. My last balance from another place I went 4 weeks with absolutely no issues or chipping. Unfortunately, that place was packed so I left and went to Avalon. I now have wait until Im home from vacation to get them fixed somewhere else and pay again.I do not recommend going there at all unless you make an appointment with someone that came recommended. Was not cheap either..

First off, they charge an extra $5 for removing calluses, which is RIDICULOUS considering that is the main reason to get a pedicure. When getting the acrylics, my technician (Dawn) answered a video chat and had several other employees coming up and whispering conversations and my friends technician also made outgoing phone calls. This is INCREDIBLY unprofessional, especially considering the high prices. They slapped the acrylics on with paying no attention to cleaning up my cuticles and layered on some much nail polish without drying in between that it was impossible to not smudge them while waiting an hour for them to fully dry. All I can say is that we will DEFINITELY not be coming back.

I could have done a better and a more thorough job myself. Terrible job, horrible service. Will never spend my money here again. Very dissatisfied.

All the technicians are courteous to me. My favorite technicians are Lin and Jenny. My pedicures and manicures come out great. I specifically come here for pedicures because they do the best job in my opinion. I always leave with super soft heels.The only drawback is that their prices are a bit high.

Elizabeth was so kind. I have never had a pedicure before where they were so concerned for my comfort. Great job, very relaxing.

They stereotyped my friend acusing them of not paying and tried to make me pay for the other person. Instead of checking receipts! Will not be returning!
