Asked the stylist very specifically to not cut the back of my hair any shorter. she did. i showed her a picture of exactly what i wanted, and she cut my hair WAY differently. looks nothing like how i asked NOR described. i asked for layers, and my hair is LOPSIDED. i had to go in there with scissors afterwards and fix it up. funniest part is, they charged me $60 for this TERRIBLE haircut. i will never be returning here. my hair looks like a mess. i drove pretty far because i heard this place was great but what a joke! i havent been to a salon in years and figured i would treat myself. waste of gas, money, time, and hair. The only good thing was that the staff were friendly. great i guess, other than that? TERRIBLE experience and i will seriously never return.

This beauty salon is the most fashionable and exquisite in the world. They have the most comfy salon chair and a purple wall. My hair was done about a week ago here, and the results were amazing; it was shiny and nice! Im glad a neighbor suggested this beauty salon to me.

This is the only place I will let touch my beautiful long curly hair! Shout out to Clare, they’re a truly gifted stylist.

Looks like they only respond to public reviews so cool. I had an appointment for a haircut and waited in the lobby for 30 minutes. It was pretty shocking how unapologetic the staff was when I finally decided to leave. They weren’t particularly helpful about rebooking my appointment either. It’s clear my experience is pretty common. Still in disbelief. Update: it was 30 minutes, not 20 and as mentioned— the staff rebooking was not helpful or kind. 1 star at most.

I have not had a hair style or hair color in almost 10 years and Jessi really made me feel comfortable and confident about what I walked in to get done. She far exceeded my expectations and my hair came out just like the photo except BETTER :) I came out of my appointment feeling like a million bucks — I am still in awe of how perfect it turned out.

I expected so much more from such an established and expensive salon and left in tears. I came in for a cut and face framing minimal balayage. I spent $240 for my hair to look untouched in the end. My stylist was very kind but seemed nervous throughout the process and made several mistakes. I felt my stylist was trying to convince me that everything was ok and looking great constantly but it only made me feel more anxious. I was told Id be checked up on in 20 minutes while waiting for my hair to process but it was closer to 45+. I then had to go back to the sink as there was a bright blonde section that was not toned that was found after washing once I was back in the chair. After blowdrying it seemed like my stylist had forgotten to cleanup my layers. The cut process seemed strange and quick, and the placement of the round brush during blowdrying felt awkward. The cut was fine, the blowout was underwhelming and there was no true sign of any changed color. I understand mistakes can happen, but the price on top of the total service time was ridiculous. I was in the salon for 3 hours for a process that shouldnt have taken that long. Extremely overpriced for such an underwhelming and anxiety ridden experience. I was offered a complimentary service but there was little room to accommodate me in the schedule. Ive never cried after a hair service before. This service was supposed to be a special treat Id saved up for and I left feeling defeated.

I researched carefully before making an appointment. Theyre taking COVID precautions very seriously - I had to wait in the car until they were ready, then had my temp taken and we all wore masks the whole time.Libby cut my hair from shoulder-length to a pixie. She is amazing! If youre thinking of going short, book with Libby! We talked through a rough idea of what I wanted. She gave some great suggestions and gave me an amazing cut. She even showed me a bunch of different ways to style it. This was my first time here and I am definitely coming back!

Positive experience from the phone call to make the appointment to the final result. I asked for a simple cut for my medium length, coarse, straight hair. Libby gave me exactly what I asked for. Bad costumer service, called to book a hair appt just to be given excuses . I wanted a stylist that could get close to the color I wanted but apparently it’s so hard to service new clients . Never again, save your money for better costumer service

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was truly outstanding. This was my first time at SineQuaNon salon and I left truly impressed. I saw Carrie for a men’s cut and bleach/tone, and I have to say she’s extremely talented. Not only was she able to give me the exact colour I wanted, my hair was and is still in excellent shape afterwards. As for the haircut, I don’t think I want to go to anyone else after seeing Carrie. She’s done a phenomenal job. I could not recommend this place more.

So impressed with Sine Qua Nons commitment to Coronavirus safety. You can stay outside until they text you. Everyone is wearing masks, and there is more than 6ft and barriers between each station. Also, I always get an awesome and reasonably haircut from Libby. She is excellent at turning an idea into a beautifully polished look, and works with you to make it perfect.

Im a first time client. Ive been on the search to find someone who knows how to cut wavy hair and I finally found the place to go. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was welcoming. Then I was greeted by my hair stylist David. He is a master at cutting wavy curly hair. How he cuts the hair is like an art and viewing it from all angles. He took his time which was greatly appreciated. He asked questions to better understand what I was looking for but also showed how to enhance your natural hair pattern. This past weekend I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Marita K, and i have to say that this is the best haircut Ive received in Chicago. She took her time and paid good attention to perfecting the cut, working her way around all of my random cowlicks. Not only do I highly recommend her, I recommend the salon in general. The staff is very amicable and personable. They make sure that you are comfortable and taken care of in a timely manner. Could not ask for better service!

When I first started going here it was truly a wonderful experience. I have been a loyal customer for 3 years now. Reason I took away a star is the staff seems to change very fast. Which can be a bummer when you become accustomed to a particular stylist. Overall the ambience is peaceful, decor impressive and service has been lovely.

This is a beautiful salon. Ania is my stylist, and does a great job with curls. She is also a color expert, and has suggested some great hues. Their deep conditioning treatments and products have worked well for my dry hair. I definitely recommend this salon.

From the moment I walked into the West town salon, I felt relaxed and pampered. From the welcoming and considerate desk staff, to my lovely hairdresser, Marita, I found my new salon Home. Sadly, Marita is moving out of state soon, but she kindly set me up with Ania for my next visit. Marita gave me wonderful suggestions after I went over my hair likes and dislikes. She created a cut that is so unique for me and just lovely and charming! I left feeling completely refreshed and happy. Although I live in Evanston, I will happily travel to West town for the best haircare and pampering in Chicago. I already know that I will love Ania because I trust Marita’s recommendations.

Ania is great!! She has been styling my hair for years and I always leave loving it. Color, cut, style, it doesn’t matter, she can do it all. Go see her, you won’t be disappointed! They also have great shampoo/conditioning products that smell heavenly.

Marita is great! It was my first time seeing her and she gave me just what I asked for - a soft blunt bob. I was going back and forth on getting bangs and she was amazing about it, offering me a good in between and if I decided I did want them after the fact she agreed to squeeze me in whenever. Came in last night with post color remover - very brassy level 7 and asked (along with showing photo of the exact color I wanted) - smoky/ashy brown level 6. Master stylist - Holly... while sipping on her spiked coca cola just said ok! Ill be back with color!. Instead of getting the tone right she turned my hair level 3/4 warm chocolate and said she didnt think it was going to be such a big deal!! Are you kidding me! Not only I cannot stand warm tones - main reason for the visit, hair this dark make me look like Im ready for halloween! Holly noticed how much I hate what shes done, but wouldnt take any responsibility but started yelling and arguing, trying to gaslight me into what I said or didnt say! I know what I said, Holly! Are you also blind?! How about you listen! Mind blowing that no one at the salon stepped in to offer to fix it.
