High-end service at a fair price. At the same time, it almost feels like going to the spa. Workers are courteous, barbers are undoubtedly professional. They know what you have to do with your hair. I especially love how they take their time to styling your hair. The place is very accessible and has a very spacious car park.

Im very disappointed to give Corner Barber one star. For years, it had been my favorite barber shop but now it employs a sickening racist.On 12/22/19 around 2pm, I walked in and waited for my turn. A conversation already in-progress was going on between some guys in the shop. Apparently, at least one of them worked there.He loudly proclaimed the different types of customers hed served as a barber, but turned into a Carlos Mencia-style tirade about how hell never serve Muslim customers again. At least 5 other men (including one barber working with a customer) can corroborate that.It used to be a great place, but now its run by racists apparently. I wish Mike would return - he always treated his customers with respect and gave excellent service.Im finding a new barber shop and never returning.

The haircut was decent!! Definitely better than Gabby’s!! I definitely had a 1st time barber shop experience here! The barber cut my hair using no water whatsoever! I have curly hair and usually they spray my hair every time I have ever got a haircut! The cut came out decent too! It didn’t wow me but it was better than Gabby’s and Super Cuts down the street. Probably won’t go back unless I am desperate.. You are looking at a 1-2 hour wait if have no appointment setup... I hate that going to a barber.. Soo annoying..

Came in for a beard trim on NYE/clean up. I had just come from Spain for Christmas and was looking quite rough. Alex got me looking like a stud in no time. I just started coming to Chicago once a month from Dallas and Ill be back every time. Would have given 5 stars but didnt get my haircut. 💈

I recently moved into the area so I had no clue on where to get a haircut. The Corner Barber Shop was the closest option to me so I decided to give it a shot. I made reservation for 12:30, however I was not helped until 12:50. I did not mind the wait, however the service that I received was horrible. At one point, the barber even said, youre kind of getting on my nerve, buddy, I was very taken back by this comment. I have never gone to a place of business where I was treated with this much disrespect.

For $19 that was the best damn haircut Ive ever gotten. Mike figured out exactly what I wanted without saying much, didnt skimp out on the details (neck shave included), and was good company. Gonna come back in a month without a doubt.

DO NOT COME HERE. Ive given this place many chances because its in a convenient location for me. Since I moved here 2 years ago their prices have steadily increased and their quality has gone down. Mike gives good cuts... sometimes. Hit or miss. These guys know how to do ONE haircut and try to put it on every customers head. If you give them very specific instructions about what you want, even show them pictures or videos, they will nod and say okay and do whatever they want anyway. Ive spent so much time trying to grow my hair out for a certain type of cut and these people have ruined it repeatedly. Juan was my most recent barber and its the worst haircut I have ever gotten and I think he knew it too. He just didnt understand what I was asking for. I have to wear a hat just to leave the house now and I cant really afford another $30 to go have it fixed by someone else. I said do not take any length from the top and the first thing he did was snip over an inch of my hair off and then tried to blend the rest into the sides and it turned out choppy and horrible. I am not one to leave bad reviews but its been over 2 weeks since my haircut here and I am still angry about it every day. Avoid at all costs if you have any profession that requires your hair to be well groomed such as a model or actor.

This is a true barber shop. I moved across the street when I first got to Chicago, and I havent let anybody cut my hair since. These guys genuinely care about building a relationship with you, and they do so by listening to you and giving a damn good haircut every time. You see a lot of regulars here for a reason.

Juan is an awesome barber! I always walk out with a clean and precise cut. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for an exceptional cut and/or shave.

Really friendly, professional, knows what hes doing. In and out in 60 minutes on a Friday night. If you call ahead the barber will save your spot to speed up your process. I got a full cut in about 20 minutes, the barber lines you up with a single blade razor but what makes his special is he uses a hot lather and a hot towel for clean up. Feels amazing.

The corner shop is clean and the staff is always friendly. Juan has been cutting my hair for the past 13 years and always gives exactly what I ask for. (Which is saying a lot as he’s seen me go through many styles and phases) he’s got a lot of experience and always makes sure you leave with a clean cut no matter the style you want. Juan might even school you on a few things while you’re in his chair hahah.

This is a barber shop in every sense of the words. You will receive a traditional old school hair cut with a hot lather and shave for a reasonable price. If you dont care about how you look then waste your money at great clips. Come here to feel like a gentlemen that drinks fine scotch and owns many leather bound books.

Barber went rogue on my hair. Cut it very short on the left and left the right long. He was unable to follow simple instructions. First time Ive ever needed to get a haircut fixed. Judging by the previous reviews, its not the first time this barber has tried to give this hairstyle to new customers.

Asked for a simple taper on the sides. Barber got a bit too razor happy and ended up shaving 3/4 of my hair. Told him multiple times to not make the sides any shorter, but insisted on fixing it. This is the last time I will be visiting here.

Found these guys when I first moved to Chicago. They do a great job with different styles to each barber. Extremely reasonable prices too, so it’s worth coming back every time

I had an exceptional experience at this barber shop. My barber is Juan Calderon, hes one of the best barbers around, make sure you ask for Juan, you cannot go wrong with him.

Paid $21 dollars for a $7.00 haircut. I asked for a mid fade and just the tips on top. I originally had around a size 8 on top and this guy cut a 3 on top and on the sides. Instead of a mid fade it looks like just a taper with a 3 all around. Also, it says it opens at 8 but they werent open until 10am. Had a real bad experience and I doubt iIwill be going back.

Visited over the weekend; very shabby work with a standard low fade, inconsistent lines and the fade was jagged. Beard trim was decent but the razor work was very rough, got cut multiple times and irritated my skin. Would not recommend at all.

Will not ever return to this place. I asked Anthony for a 2 on the sides and a skin tape up/fade. Instead of admitting that he didnt know how to do it and preventing me from wasting my time, he completely botched the hair cut. Guy cut me uneven on both side, cut the sides to a 1 instead of a two, and did an incredibly poor job on the fade. Do not ever go to this place unless you get the most basic of haircuts where it would be impossible to screw up. Never again.

Maybe is just the way it is in America. But I hated my hair cut, it was nothing like I asked, and there was no way for me to correct him because I wasnt facing the mirror! It just looked like everyone elses in the room. They dont understand how hairs are different on different heads. I chose to trust the guy based on the reviews and that was a bad decision. If youre used to European barbers you will be disappointed.

Hi guys just after last night I have to let go one of my barber working in my barbershop due to multiple complaints and bad service it is intereting how next morning you recive bad review. We have been in the same locarion over 100 years so that means something ... we care and we follow every step with the health code to make sure everything is sterilized and clean we use disposal blades . Every barber in the shop have over 25 years of experience so we know our JOB but I am not gonna be suprise if we will still recive bad review. Everybody can use social media to spread all kind of stories GOOD LUCK and Thanks for support.
