I actually go to Brunos in Niles (same owner). Steve is my go to guy but every barber there has done an excellent job at helping me look my best! Brunos is sanitary and very clean and has services that you just dont find everywhere....Nothing like straight razor certified Barbers to clean you up or give a clean shave! Highly recommended.

I found this barbershop on google and since we just moved I thought I would try it out. Since the pandemic I have tried to support smaller local businesses and this was a perfect place. From what google and Yelp said they close at 6pm. I arrived at 4:45pm but I was on the phone. I looked inside and noticed that someone was receiving a haircut and no one was waiting inside. I decided to continue my phone conversation outside as to not disturb older lady giving the haircut. Around 5:20pm she walks to the door and locks it. I asked, are you closing? She responded no so I continued my phone call. The call ended around 5:25pm and I tried to open the door, an its locked. I thought maybe she wanted to limit the people inside so I waited until she let the other person out and as I walked toward the door she said they are closed and that they close at 5pm.... I tried to plea with her because I very much need a haircut but she brushed me off.No where does it say they close at 5pm, I asked if she was closing, and I was obviously waiting. I wasted almost an hour because I was being courteous. I am fighting the urge to be extremely rude because all I wanted to do is get a haircut, while being courteous with my phone call and support a local businesses but this is what always happens. Closing early for no reason is just lazy and it shows that you dont value customers or local customers at that. So unfortunately, I have to spend my money with corporation.Just hold yourself to the standard you set and stay open until 6pm like you say you are...

My Regular Barbour / Barber, as were many others were unavailable due to the PANDEMIC. However, I was accommodated, my luck & God, that day ; With a barber whom I never met. The Covid PROTOCALS & procedures met, as much as possible & with an obvious pandemic rates increase . But since barboring has a lower place/ priority to do, the longer hair takes more time & skilled adjustments to compensate with the best results. Nobody knows all the bumps on your head like your 35 year barber?UVC SANITIZING STATION, computer scheduling of appointment history, special needs, cash or CC & appears to be the best efforts under the conditions & restrictions.🙄But please dont rush over there by the thousands, they still have their limitations & hold to their standards as much as possible, so try if you choose, you may be as satisfied as at you favorite if you allow a chance to adapt to a new customer. I wouldnt know, I always go there unless out if town😢 but Ill go again! 🙂

The best! My sons hair is always on point! We personally love Frank and Steve, but I hear from family and friends that all the staff are great. Fyi: There are two locations; the Niles location has a parking lot in the rear; no longer cash only, now able to take cc or apps.

Conventional and style. Non Union but some retain membership = old school traditional. Fortunately the owner, himself, is excellent alternative for both & he does very well! 😁Hell if youve got a picture: hell clone you back! 8-) 😳Frank wont let you leave until its just right, but hes earned more experience and skills than I have years an hair remaining? 🤯Worth a trip! Lived in the area and been to this shop few times. Loved it every time. Then I moved to Downers Grove and started going to local chain shops like Sports Clips, Hair Cuttery.. ETC... and its like gambling when it comes to getting a decent haircut.. Almost every time I leave unhappy..I shouldnt be telling the person whos cutting my hair how to do their job..Problem is theyre charging 20 bucks/haircut using straight out of school stylists that still need plenty of practice.. I dont mind being practiced on, but dont charge me 20 bucks for it!!! Will be coming back to Brunos for sure. Piece of mind alone is worth the almost 40 mins drive now that i moved! Wonderful haircuts, great nautical decor. A real, authentic neighborhood barbershop. Owner is a great guy, super nice and polite. Some of the barbers dont speak a ton of english, but they unerstand it just fine. I think they speak polish, so you can talk to them in polish instead if you prefer.Also, to mention-- great value. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the haircut. And, the place doesnt reek of cigarette smoke either! Parking is in the back, ad though its tight quarters, I havnt ever had trouble getting a spot somewhere.I drive past 4 barbershops to get there, because it is just about the best haircut youll get in the area, especially for less that 20 bucks!

My regular barbour was on vacation over seas and I was getting a little cavemanish, once you start comb/ brushing -over the ears- you can cut or go all in. So I brought my mop in to GET my barbours eta. and the owner offered :to try?.HE didnt try, HE DID,BUT very nicely done! Got me through and now I have a back UP I can trust not to look, strangely different so I can keep my hair cut schedule.Nothing special I might add, since they have other persons there; I prefer a shortly cropped barbershop simple cut. They have ladies that style & razor cut also.Nice well broke in waiting chairs & magazine rack or TV too.Parking in back or on street.Dont hesitate IF youre in doubt, they dont mind IF you discreetly watch a few finished products before you chose or not, no push. Nice old school policy.🙄
