Stay away, stay far away. When I moved into 1111 N Dearborn I got stuck in the freight elevator with my movers. Talk about first impressions. The elevators are constantly out of service and are not, to my knowledge, up to code. You can search the buildings pending, current, and previous code violations at Chicagos building records website. The hallway outside the leasing office, as well as the one outside the mail room are often lined with boxes. This is a problem. If theres a fire, residents may have trouble navigating their way out of the building--thats why Chicago Fire Code forbids the practice. And then there are the utilities: I have family and friends in property management/ development and none have ever seen utility fees like those at 1111--watch out! Im embarrassed for management and am disgusted by the Owners seeming callous disregard of his property, and those who reside therein.
Great quality for what you pay. If you’ve ever lived in streeterville, or LP you’ll appreciate this building. It has updated kitchens and hardwood and for an older building I am very impressed by how well maintained it is. I’ve lived in the city for 7 years. Lived in 4 different buildings (2 of them managed by ppm) and the management team and quality of the buildings impressed me.
How does this building have 5 stars? Everyone I know here is extremely unhappy. I am counting down the days until I move out.The bottom line: NO AIR CONDITIONING. (Even though they claim they offer it as an amenity.) All the apartments are 75-80 degrees for a solid 4 months of the year. Even when it’s in the 40s outside. The elevators are always broken and were out of compliance with the city of Chicago’s law for a long time. People get stuck all the time. It’s dangerous and I’m surprised someone hasn’t gotten hurt. 1111 is the worst of the worst, and the vacancies are starting to show that. Building management does not care at all... they just wait for people to move out.Just do yourself a favor and don’t live here - it’s not worth it. Look at some of the older buildings across the street, on Elm street, etc. and you’ll find similarly priced apartments with better amenities.
HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Management is SO RUDE. Disgusting place to live.
I used to live in apartment 1810 when I was approximately six years old. I was just wondering, are these apartments low income? I have been dying to move back into this building forever now
Get what you pay for. Rent is very reasonable considering the awesome location in Gold Coast. The leasing office is helpful, responsive, and friendly. Front desk folks are friendly and know all tenants names. Tiffany knows the names of my two sisters and girlfriend and is such a great person. The elevators are brutally slow and I recommend you live on a lower floor. The units and floor have an 80’s feel (old). Would live here again out of college, but not in my late twenties.
One of the apartment buildings in Gold Coast. Convenient location, close to everything. The facilities are a tiny bit old, but the view is gorgeous.
Good place to live! The buildings a bit old and the amenities are alright, but what really stands out is the excellent staff that greet you every day.Id been gone for a few months and they still remembered my name. Tiffany always has a smile on her face as she welcomes you back!
PPM staff makes living here easy and enjoyable. Robert, Barry, and Maritza are always helpful and welcoming. Special thanks to Tiffany for always making us feel right at home and knowing everyone on a first name basis.
I recently moved into 1111 North Dearborn. I love this building, the location and the pool deck. I use the business center often as I work from home.My leasing consultant, Clayton was very helpful explaining my options and patiently walking the neighborhood. The building is conveniently located near shopping, grocery stores, dining and Lake Michigan.
Tiffany is the best door staff Ive ever had. Shes always happy and genuinely cares about whats going on. Shes always in a good mood and makes me smile every time I walk in the door.
