Where is the parking spots for residents who paid for the monthly pass?I am paying 200 dollars a month to get the parking when I get home, not paying money to spend hours to find a parking spot, and still couldnt find one. Aint the purpose of parking lot in the building supposed to provide convenience for the residents?Ive paying every single month to have a monthly parking pass since 2019 and they used to be fine and have no trouble to find a parking spot. But since few months ago its getting harder to find a parking spot because they just keep letting non-residents to park and I totally understand that building wanna make extra parking incomes from non-residents, but right now, residents are NOWAY to get a spot especially during the weekend.Right now I am still driving around and finding an empty spot while I am typing. Go buy yourself a lottery, they have higher odds to win a jackpot.Just a quick update. When the parking garage is full they will only denied the monthly members and still allow outsiders to get the ticket and park. My pass got denied and wait for a long time but no one response on the speaker. Great
Currently a resident and I hate it here. Property Manager picks and chooses which residents to assist and which ones to give a hard time to. The staff is poorly chosen, The garage is disrespectful filthy, and it is always full no matter if you pay monthly parking fees to park there. I’m definitely looking for a new building. Two thumbs down.
I will not consider renting a place here. My friend lives here so I often stop by. 3 out of 5 times their front desk staff is disrespectful not just to me but also other guests. Like the staff talked to each other behind the counter while leaving the guest stand there. Some of their staff gave you attitude when they asked you very basic information for check-in. I have it enough so I am leaving this review. Front desk service is very important. Hoping the building management can take it seriously.
Been living here for 6 months and everything has been great. Few hiccups and things but management and the staff has been great about. After seeing the bad reviews, I dont agree. It is your reaponsibility to go through and look over everything bedore moving in or within 72 hours. I went through and documented everything and they reviewed and made notes as well. Maintenance requests can be done electronically and fixed quickly. As far as the security issue the person indicated, its safe building and key fob needed to get to apartment floors, I love it. That person would also complain if there was no security and someone can freely walk to their apartment. All packages are checked at front desk, including all food orders, and guests (unless you come down and meet them yourself). Super secure, good response times, and management and leasing office knows people by name, stay engaged, and make it a point to know the staff, very friendly. Most likely, the bad reviews were from people violating their lease in some way, kicked out, or charged for things they caused.
Lived here for two years. You will not find a more professional, genuine and caring leasing agent than Franc Swanagan. He was in our corner from beginning to end. Also, an emphatic shoutout to Tomas Rojas who I will feel forever indebted to for continuously going above and beyond on the maintenance team.Seriously, give these two a raise. You can nitpick everything else, but at the end of the day it’s the people that truly have the biggest impact on where you call home.
This is my 6-week review for Arrive Lex.I have to start with the leasing office and precisely with Franc and Ariel. This dynamic duo brought me to arrive Lex and have gone out of their way to make sure I’m feeling satisfied with my living experience and that all issues are resolved promptly. The building requires check in with concierge and fob access for the elevators and so it’s a secure building. Latisha and Dorsha at the concierge desk are the best and most pleasant people I have had the pleasure to deal with. They are such fantastic people and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The gym here is equipped for a high level performance with kettle balls, free weights, machines, treadmills, pelotons, and a water fountain. The gym is kept very clean and the temperature is just right. There is a long dog run that is good enough for my Aussie shepherd. The swimming pool, I’ve been told is a hit but is an open pool so closed over the Chicago winter season. They also have storage spaces at a premium price and bike storage. Packages are stored in a large room and you receive notifications when your package arrives. Internet is through Comed and not that hard to set up. The internet I got is through RCN and has been great so far but they also have AT&T internet coverage I think. The apartment itself is wonderful with a beautifully flowing energy throughout and top of the line appliances. My bathroom is marble and has two sinks and a large bathtub. The trash chute is on the floor and easily accessible. My apartment has a balcony and a den which can probably fit a twin bed comfortably or function as an office space. The building has a south loop market on the ground floor and an orange theory gym opening up soon. There is a large dog park a 12 min walk away. I really have had a great experience so far and I think you would too!
Its taken me a little longer to come to terms with writing this review. After 3 years of calling Arrive Lex my home, I experienced an extremely traumatic experience that caused me to have to terminate my lease abruptly.I wont be going into every single detail, however I will say that I experienced an EXTREMELY inappropriate situation with a maintenance crew member one evening, while alone in my unit. To say it was a shock, and traumatic is putting it VERY lightly. I promptly got in touch with management after the situation and wasnt taken seriously AT ALL. Well, I should say at FIRST, Troy the property manager, called and seemed as though he was receptive to the situation. However, the tone quickly changed and the finger was pointed at me. I was essentially called a liar, to my face, and Troy insisted I must have confused one crew member for another. I was forced to request the ability to break my lease, prematurely, because it was clear I was not being taken seriously, nor was my safety for that matter. I immediately requested that this particular staff member was not to be anywhere near me until I was able to move out. Not 10 minutes after this request was made to management did that very staff member knock on my door. I contacted management, yet again, to alert them of this and was ONCE AGAIN called a liar. As if it wasnt traumatic enough that I was put in a vulnerable position, late at night in my apartment ALONE with this staff member but I was then repeatedly talked down to and dismissed by management of Arrive Lex.These are the types of situations why women dont speak up, and why men get to go free with absolutely no repercussions for their actions. As if this all wasnt enough, after moving out Troy threatened to charge me fees and send my information to a third party to potentially RUIN my credit. Because apparently, the fact that I was no longer safe in my home wasnt enough to deal with.Arrive Lex should be ASHAMED of themselves. This situation was disgusting. Management did absolutely NOTHING to make me feel safe in my home after one of their employees jeopardized that for me. I was brushed under the rug, ignored and made to feel like I had done something wrong when they know very well it was their employee who was completely out of line. For the record, the staff member mentioned wasnt just inappropriate this time. He made COUNTLESS remarks about my appearance, made me feel uncomfortable, AND asked me why I had not been at the pool one week (how, better yet WHY, did he even notice that?!).Its clear that Arrive Lex does not take the safety of their residents serious, mostly in a VERY serious situation that involves employees. This staff member was able to walk free, while I was forced to uproot my life in fear of my well-being and general safety.
I am very impressed with this apartment complex and the staff! From the leasing agents, concierge, maintenance, etc. everyone has been truly delightful and always helpful when it comes to any questions that I have. I love living here!
Moved in to the Lex last summer and Ive loved living here. Very convenient location. Great amenities. Love my one bedroom, especially the view. Staff is always helpful and maintenance is very responsive. Definitely recommend!
I have lived here since early 2018 and have been happy with my choice. The amenities are nice. Indoor garage, onsite staff, and building access safety features. The apartments are up to date and modern and have ample space. All units have a balcony which is a very nice added benefit. Maintenance staff is great, any issues are addressed quickly and professionally. Overall would recommend.
Great place to live! The maintenance staff is quick to respond and my packages never get lost. A great perk we recently enjoyed was their Christmas tree disposal service. Lots of great restaurants are popping up in the neighborhood so the nightlife in the area has us excited for the coming months!
Friendly staff and community in the Lex. The building is always clean, maintenance requests are typically responded to and handled in one day (even on the weekend). I have lived in Chicago for about 10-years now and I can say that this has been the easiest and best experience I have had. The building was recently rehabbed giving the units a modern, fresh, clean feel. You rarely hear any noise outside of your apartment, I have found this to be nearly impossible to find in Chicago. Occasionally you will have some hallway traffic, but nothing terrible. The building recently changed private equity hands and they continue to invest in the building making the tenants the winners.
Have been living at Arrive Lex since May and have loved every month. Building is very modern, clean, and secure. Great location. Units are a great size with wonderful views. Friendly & helpful staff. Will definitely be resigning our lease here! Highly recommend!
We have lived at the LEX for almost 3 years and have loved it!! We love the location and how easy it is to get downtown or over to the museum/aquarium. Also, with the addition of more businesses and restaurants in the South Loop, its gotten even better. The amenities in the building are great too!The entire staff, from Franc and Miah in the leasing office, to everyone at the concierge desk, and all of the maintenance staff, everyone has been so welcoming and always asks how you are doing. We could not have chosen a better place to live in the city!!!
Moved into Arrive LEX (formerly The LEX) roughly six months ago. So far the experience has been nothing but great. My Partner, Dog, and I have lived in 3 apartment buildings within the city and Arrive LEX surpasses them all in terms of value, noise control, and livability. Our 1 bedroom apartment is spacious and well laid out, with an added bonus of a large balcony is great in the Summer months. The location is also improving with the addition of hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops within walking distance. Additionally the staff are all friendly; Franc helped us find out apartment and still greets us by name all the time. I would recommend this building.
It’s been good so far. But there’s lot of maintenance in the building since the time we moved. The management changed and they’re always renovating something.I have a 9-5 job, so I don’t mind them working then, but if they work even on the weekend, that’s when it gets annoying. I don’t wanna be hearing drilling/hammering sounds on the weekend and these days I wake up to sounds from renovation in the morning. When I called to complain about this I was told - we contracted them to work, we can’t tell them to go back, yes I understand that . I wish you understood that you take rent from us and can’t be doing work for a month or two and expect us to be patient even when you work on weekends and early morning weekdays.
We recently moved in and our overall experience has been great. Miah gave us all the information that we needed and provided prompt responses to our follow-up questions. Her assistance during the application and move-in process helped us to have a pleasant experience.
They are very nice & have amazing onion rings & their food is always fresh & hot
I left a big piece of my heart at Arrive Lex (fka The Lex). Looking back, it became more than just walls and a roof to our family. We can’t say enough about our experience here. We loved it. The property is nice and modern, has great amenities (gym, pool, computer room), and maintenance was always responsive and timely. The staff was always friendly. The community was awesome and we established long term friendships. The events they held (holidays, mixers, summer pool parties, yoga, movie on the lawn) were lots of fun. So many great things about this place. I will also say that, if we ever had issues with a neighbor, management always dealt with it immediately. And we appreciated that. I’ll truly miss living here —- the staff, community, and location. 4 years of cherished memories - it was a great run.
Would never. And I mean ever consider living in a high rise. But after visiting multiple times, Im considering renting a unit just to have a place to hang with the wife on weekends. Beautiful place. Very convenient. Great amenities. Nice people/Staff and dwellers. And oh yeah... The views.
Lived here for three years and there is not a bad thing I can say. Management team (Troy and Frank) are amazing, and will make sure you are well taken care of. The security and maintenance staff are also very kind and responsive. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal in the city that close to downtown and with all those amenities. Not to mention youll be at the center of the fastest growing entertainment district in town. Choose the Lex and thank me later.
Comment from someone that just moved in, and the move in experience was painless. Its been easy to coordinate arrival and unloading thanks to the help of Miah which helped us to schedule everything.
I stayed about 4 months there, and it is the best south loop apartments building! it is really new apartment with no walls! All-Glass so you can see Downtown Chicago, the price is kinda high! since it is not close to downtown and it could take around 1 hr walking! I heard a lot of people complaining about the crazy charges they take if they damage something!
The Lex is an excellent place to stay! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We currently reside on the 31st floor and the view of Lake Michigan is phenomenal!
I have lived at the Lex for two years and it has been the best place Ive lived in Chicago by far. The amenities that the building provides and the maintenance staff make this building unbeatable. Theyre also always having resident events (like free yoga, doggie swim days, etc.). Another great thing about the building is the location. This is prime time to be living in this location with new restaurants, bars, and entertainment constantly being added to the area. I would highly recommend living here to anyone!
One of the best apartments to live in in the city.
I lived in the Lex from 2016 through March 2018 (I will be moving out next month). During this period, I have struggled with elevator malfunctioning for months, no properly working intercom system, lack of covered access from loft to tower requiring multiple emails to management to keep service hallway doors open and accessible to loft residents, overall pool space in poor condition (cabana, chairs, etc), unfriendly concierge staff, weird crowd, to name a few things. I would not recommend it
My fiancé and I moved in just a few weeks ago and were absolutely loving it so far. Miah has been awesome to work with from the very beginning. Shes answered all of our questions; she and the staff are always available if/when we need help or have questions. The apartment is in great condition and the only time we did need maintenance to stop by, they were there promptly. Hallways and facilities are clean, neighbors are friendly, amenities are great -- I cant wait until it gets warm out so I can really enjoy everything this place has to offer!
Moved there 2 months ago, overall:-Neighborhood: Is really good everything is close by like CTA, bus, laundry, restaurants, bars, small stores and big stores. Also is kind of quiet for being south loop-Parking lot: A bit expensive but they run it at a good temperature, is helpful in the winter (no long waits or shoveling)- Common areas: The living room have everything that you need, you can do a small party and your friends will be amazed. The office is good for printing small documents. The gym is small sometimes os busy but overall they have everything that you need for a good (not great) workout-The unit: Great appliances, beautiful details and they are big enough. The fact that they have a balcony and lake view is the most important part for me.-Staff: Always happy and eager to help.Great overall
Love being here at the lex. Franck and Troy are the reason why we actually decided to move here. Theyr so welcoming and accommodating. Everyone is friendly and it felt like home the minute we walked through the doors.
Great units - lots of space, modern finishes, huge bathrooms/closets. The pool is great in the summer!
We just move 2 months ago and it is ones of the best decision we have ever take, we love the place, the location and also the staff is so kind !! We are so happy to live here :)
Great office staff and location. Luxury amenities and good community of residents and building events.
Miah is very helpful, knowledgeable and patient showing us units and assisting us with the entire process to move in. She is an asset to the company and to the building.
I live in the Lex since last Spring and I have to say that I am very impressed with the Staff and the Maintenance team they are Amazing.Franc and Lathisa are Amazing people very helpful and professional. The amenities are great!Arrive Lex is Awesome. Super dog friendly and very quiet!!
I just moved into the Lex on Friday and I can already say that I am in love with this place, and everyone who has helped me since Ive been here are an ENORMOUS part of that. I toured the apartment a couple of weeks ago and immediately went downstairs to apply for it with Miah. From start to finish, she was extremely helpful, patient, and responsive. Honestly, everyone in the leasing office is. Franc and Troy were both amazing and let me tour a second time before I moved in and also made sure the lease signing process was seamless. As soon as I signed my lease, I started ordering furniture and things that I thought would not arrive until after my lease started, but SURPRISE! Amazon is quicker than I expected and probably a dozen of them arrived several days to a week in advance. I called to let Latisha know (and to apologize profusely), but was reassured that it was totally fine. As soon as I arrived, she and Sharon made sure I got all one million of my early-arriving packages, and helped me to coordinate the various deliveries I had in the first few days I moved in. And every step of the way, Miah was there to help, even getting involved when I had a little hiccup in securing the freight elevator for the move-in. And, again, this is just the people part of living here. The building is gorgeous and the amenities and location are amazing. Im so happy to be here.
Has everything I need and then some! Clean, safe, access to everything and a GREAT staff!
Came here to visit a friend who is residing in this building and stayed for about two weeks. Everything was amazing here including the staff at the entrance and the facilities at the 6th floor. I recommend this to anyone who is thinking of renting in the LEX..
My friend and his girlfriend live at the Lex. Its a great apartment building with a lot of amenities. They have a workout room, pool, computer lab, and party room. They are clean and the rooms are large. Great Place to live in the south loop.
Dont live here! When we moved in the carpet had stains and the floor had deep scratches. On top of that the dishwasher had to be repaired 3 times within the first month, the microwave would randomly turn on, and our refrigerator wouldnt remain shut.We documented the stain and the floor scratches but had no idea about the other issues until after we moved in. Upon moving out we were told that we owed them $1200 in damages! keep in mind we had paid a $400 non refundable pet fee and a $400 non refundable administration fee.We are being robbed by them. Dont trust them and avoid this place.
Overall The Lex building is great and plenty things going on and around the Lex. Bad management office (Went through 3 managers during my two years of living there). Very unprofessional security crew that will walk into your unit without permission and has placed cameras on residential floors (Illegal and breaking contract agreement). They will Increase rent every year without adding additional things or enhancing the building units/amenities for residents. Parking is terrible when Wintrust stadium has events or conferences. Moving out costs for wear and tear is a huge scam and overcharging residents without a great explanation.
Nice and friendly atmosphere with great professionalism.
I recently signed my second year lease at the Lex. I have more than enough space, never had any problems with any house amenities, building amenities are great (though common areas and hot tub can get over crowded in the summer), beautiful unobstructed lake view at the 26th floor. Everyone who works at the Lex has been nothing but kind. I find the price very reasonable for whats offered living downtown.
I have been living at The Lex for a year and totally Love it there> The pool in the summer time is amazing and everyone is so helpful there.
Dont park here. Theyll charge you $7 for being even a minute late.
I had my guest wait 15 minutes in the lobby until they called and confirmed with me. They also check IDs everytime someone visiting you. I dont know why so much security measures.
Great Place to live in the South Loop. Awesome amenities and close to 55 and 94.
Loved the experience of living here.
