This apartment was well appointed and nicely decorated. I had everything I needed in the apartment space. It was comfortable and cozy. The building was super clean and modern with great amenities including a fitness center, quiet rooms, an outdoor pool and a rooftop bar. it was so nice. I enjoyed staying here. It was in walking distance to the Fulton Marketplace, a perfect location close to shops, restaurants and needed services. I loved my stay.

Horrific company, stay away! They’ve bought extremely cheap on all items in the home. Lights, trash can and many other details looked over. Worst part, we moved into a building with 30 floors and they didn’t provide fobs to get in. Meaning if the doorman isn’t present we cannot get into the building. It’s happened multiple times in first week. We reached out calmly and patiently multiple times, with a response of you don’t get them, or we can get the building to give you some but you’ll have to pay. This is the cost of running this type of business. I would get it if we lost them we pay, but to never get them? The customer service has been terrible and they’re not handling it. Please note, if the company responds and says otherwise we will provide the communication chain that took place which is not in your best interest to have published. In short everyone, stay away from this company and find another option!

Buyer beware. Show up and start living slogan is a stretch. My unit was not done. I didnt even have a trashcan. It was also advertised as having an elevator which it does not. Luckily Im able bodied and can handle stairs. 2 weeks in and they failed to pay my cable bill despite the fact I paid for utilities upfront. Overall will not be recommending blueground going forward. Their *sales* staff is very communicative and helpful. Their support staff is terrible/non existent. Within an hour of moving in had over 6 service requests. Outlets were exposed, the deadbolt didnt function, shower head leaked. Avoid this company at all costs.

The reservation and payment etc was excellent. Katie facilitated everything superbly. Parking in the building is convenient. Check in was pain free too. The building is next to the L train. Ill have to see if it bothers me after sleeping there

The booking process was a nightmare. Took forever to run an identity verification on me. Had to call multiple times, and someone in the Chicago office told me, Oh! That only takes a minute to run. Should be all set my the end of the day. Still heard nothing.Long story short, turns out this identity verification was actually a credit check. Even though I paid for my entire stay UP FRONT - I was still denied because of poor credit. Why? Ive just paid for the 4 month lease, they had my money, what is the purpose of a credit check? And why even call this an identity verification if its actually a credit check? So fishy.Im checking with my bank ~every day~ to make sure I get my refund, but based on other reviews, I think this will be a battle. Smells like a scam to me. Speaking of reviews, after reading a handful on Yelp and Trustpilot, I may have dodged a bullet anyway...

I would’ve given 5 stars if it was cleaned a little better. I moved the bed and there were coffee or some kind of stains on the floor and wall. Otherwise Blueground is awesome

Move in experience from HELL! I booked in December for a unit in the Paragon and even paid in December for parking. I was told the parking was paid for and every thing was all set for my move in....The problem however is that it wasn’t. I called the day before to confirm everything was ready. Blueground told me they would contact me in the morning about parking information but everything was good to go. I arrived at the unit where I was told my parking was never confirmed and no move in directions were set up. I called blueground and the building on 3 way and no one had a solution. In addition, the building could not let me in because blueground did not inform them of my move in date nor did they book a move in loading dock so I could move in my stuff. I waited for an HOUR for a leasing agent to let me in my unit (since no keys were made prior to my arrival) but she did not come down because she was on a tour.My move in experience WAITING ONLY took 3 hours. I am forced to park in a random location because blueground fell through and did not communicate and current waiting to see how I will get into my unitI am debating whether I will stay here as long as intended as this move in experience has been horrible.Update 2/28: Blueground has provided a temporary parking solution. I am very appreciative for this.

I moved here amidst the beginning of the COVID pandemic as I work as a nurse. I signed a 2 month lease and moved in the next day. Blue ground was so quick and professional with all communication. The apartment being fully furnished was so helpful keeping away from family during this time. The staff at the front desk were always so happy and helpful. The place was nice and quiet in a great neighborhood. I have no complaints about this company.

Oh.... My... Goodness.I dont even know where to begin. Ive been staying in a unit in Chicago, and I was impressed from the moment I walked into the apartment. The apartment itself was relatively new and very spacious.Everything was clinically clean - from the bathroom to the refrigerator. The Blueground makes sure you have all basic amenities like cutlery, pots and pans, but also basic items for cleaning. It was like walking into my own apartment.5 stars and a happy tenant.

What a lifesaver! They think of everything, even the basics of kitchen utensils and cleaning supplies. The apartment was clean, modern and in a great building. The process itself was so easy and stress-free and their customer service was so quick to respond and help if I needed anything. The app was easy to use and so informative as well. Highly recommend!

There’s a smoker next to me, despite it being against building regulations. When I asked for help, the response back was, “smoking is not allowed.” Yeah, but the smoking persists. For weeks now.I asked to move. The response back, there’s a charge for that. Sigh. Our agreement was there’d be no smoking! Why will I be charged more for you and the building to live up to our agreement, despite me willing to go through the hassle to move so I can avoid a smoker who shouldn’t be smoking in an adjacent unit.Otherwise, good unit. Sigh.

Never use this service. They totally swindle you! You will see an apartment for example for $2,500 - they then add on hundreds of dollars in fees on top plus another credit card processing fee that is way above the actual processing limit. They charged me $7,000 for one month an apartment for $2,900. I then had to argue with them for SIX months via email because the entire accounting team is in Greece to get my money back and I still lost $700 because the refused to refund me the fees. I had to get my bank involved, and they also accused me of stealing silverware and tried to charge me an additional $150. The dishes were in the dishwasher. NEVER USE THIS SERVICE - use Sonder they are 1000x better.

If it was up to me I would’ve given them zero stars. We stayed at a Chicago apartment, and at first everything was fine. After trying to extend the lease for one more month into another unit, since ours wasn’t available for the dates we needed. we were asked to pay for the new apartment and complete a background check. Which we didn’t get asked the first three months. Two days before our check out/ move in to new apartment they told us that because of my low credit history I could not ever lease with blueground, we tried to get it lease under my moms name, and they refuse to rent it to us. They haven’t refund my money and it’s been 5 days since they reject our stay, money that we needed for another apartment, they became super unprofessional. Worst customer service. Worst sales executive, her answer when I asked why we were rejected was “you need to find a place to stay other than blueground”

Stayed in a blueground apartment while renovating my home - also husband was having chemo treatments nearby and i worked walking distance. The apartment we were given in the Gold Coast back in November 2019 - March 2020 was a great location, but the housekeeping staff really did a bad job cleaning the place. I got it resolved with BG and got my own cleaning crew in and they reimbursed me. A few things didnt work in the apartment and communication could definitely be better with the Chicago team, but with Covid happening right before, I get it.

Edit: After writing this review I was contacted by a person at theblueground that made sure I got a sound machine for the noise from the trains and that only had to pay the original monthly rent, which was appreciated and therefor I changed my starts from 1 to 3.I booked my apartment from Sweden so that I could have a place to land in Chicago for the first two and a half months. I trusted their claim of me being able to cancel my booking within 12 hours of check in, if the apartment did not meet the expectations. As soon as I entered the apartment (which was advertised for 4,000 USD/month so super expensive and should be good) there was a clear stank of weed. on top of that, what was not mentioned in the apartment description was the super load trains driving by the apartments, making a turn just right next to it which makes so much noice you could think an airplane is landing in your living room. Dont get me wrong, I understand that Chicago is a loud city and I have lived at several places in the loop close to the train-tracks before but nothing as loud as this, its impossible to sleep.Anyways, I directly (within 30 min) sent a message saying I wanted to cancel but did not hear back from the team until two days later. At that point I was offered to change place for a fee of 1500 USD. Or sign up for a six month lease at the new place at a higher price than what was advertised online for the same apartment. Given the bad choices I was offered I chose to give my notice, at which they chose to increase my monthly rent and still charge me for the cleaning fee although I have to send all of my clothes and stuff to get dry cleaned to remove the weed smell.I was recommended Blueground by my company when moving over from Sweden and I trusted them to take care of things. I do not recommend anyone to book anything you havent been able to view and will definitely not recommend it to my future colleagues coming over in the future. Choose something else.

Start to end it was impeccable, unfortunately it was early Covid-19 (march 13) and had to cut my time short by two weeks and at that stage there was no flexibility regarding compensation, voucher or refund yet but the experience as I said was amazing would do it again in a heartbeat!

I stayed for three months at the 423 Ohio Street #605 apartment. Great location especially for those who prefer to be close to the Lakefront Trail and Ohio Street Beach. I booked the apartment online in less than half an hour. There are plenty of apartments available in Chicago but I would suggest to look carefuly for availability because the more you wait the harder it gets to find one. The apartment was clean, all of the appliances worked perfectly and there was plenty of space for all my suitcases, clothes etc. A great experience overall. Well done guys!

Booked an apartment for two months. Showed up an hour or so after check in time to find that there were no keys to get us in the unit. Had to call multiple times and wait around for the issue to get solved. If you’ve ever been stressed moving to a new city - be warned that this will stress you out even more! Apartment is nice, but WiFi didn’t work (took us awhile to fix ourselves) and there is a hole is the ceiling with exposed wiring. Parking was supposed to be available, but surprise - it’s not! Will update my review throughout the stay, hopefully things improve.

I hardly ever write reviews but I felt I had to write one about Blueground... first I haven’t even moved in and I have a pit in my stomach bc I got to building and there were some issues with checking in and parking and called blueground for the last two hours with no answer... also emailed yesterday the day before to clarify a few things.. no response..I have this horrible feeling that I will have to jump through more hoops of frustration before moving in.. and once i’ve moved in I will wish not to stay bc of this horrible experience...Terrible customer service... if you are the “middle” man you should be AVAILABLE!!!! and RESPOND!!

When asked about rating Blueground the first thing that comes to mind is, the amount of money we paid in rent was not worth the amount of issues we had to deal with. We were originally placed in a NOTORIOUSLY dangerous neighborhood with heroin addicts lying in front of the door and needles in the streets. Upon our arrival we immediately expressed our concerns and received slow and inconsistent communication from your team. After a entire week of texts, phone calls, and emails to multiple members on the blueground staff we were finally relocated to a new building. This new location was constantly under construction. Being night shift nurses, we spent many days with interrupted to no sleep. At this location we battled inconsistent WiFi which we couldn’t rely on for work, an air conditioner that sprayed water across the kitchen, a smoke detector that went off everyday for weeks, a washing machine that shook so badly it dislodged the dryer. We had to catch and reposition, one can see the markings on the inside of the door where the dryer fell. Due to the construction upstairs the canned lights were all falling out and our belongings were covered with plaster dust. Multiple times our water and power were shut off without warning, preventing us from getting ready for work, going to the bathroom etc. At one point we walked into the bathroom to find brown water streaming in from the ceiling light fixture. When we reached out to blueground via the app or email the items above were addressed. Handymen were sent without warning or communication and entered the bedroom while we slept during the middle of the day without warning. Can you see how scary, disruptive, and inappropriate that would be? This is unacceptable. We are not quite understanding how you can ask so much in rent and not deliver services equivalent. This experience as a whole was frustrating and was a constant irritant for the length of our stay. We were stripped of regular sleeping hours and peace of mind. All in all we felt blueground intruded on our personal and professional lives. Not only will we never rent from blue ground again, but we would strongly urge others to stay away.
