I’ve been living in the willows since they were originally built, I’ve moved within the complex 3 times. I do this because I love it here. The original staff when I first moved in was absolutely lovely and the new staff since then is just as lovely. I’m renewing my lease again making this my fourth term here, and I don’t see myself leaving the willows until I decide to leave university area.
I just moved here in August and I absolutely love it here! The staff in the office is extremely helpful. I’ve been working with Angie most of the time and she is amazing! She fixes any issues I have immediately. She is very responsive to emails and she is very kind and understanding. The maintenance staff is very responsive! Darwin Carranza has been helping fix any issues I might have in the apartment. He is quick and super friendly! This is my first time living on my own and I am so happy I chose this place!
I am completely satisfied with my new home at Willows at the University! Jody Bland was my leasing consultant and made this process so easy. She was very careful to explain the specials that were running during the time and the rebates and a month free of rent were an added bonus. Since I’ve moved in, she has called to check on me twice and always ensures me that if I need anything she is available to assist! The move-in process was simple and the complex is so clean and complete with state of the art amenities. There is adequate parking and lighting throughout the community and it seems to be an overall quiet area to live. Today marks one week that I’ve been moved in, but I couldn’t see myself living anywhere else. I highly recommend Jody and the Willows without reservation.
My name is Alia Dixon and when I tell you I had THE BEST EXPERIENCE here. The application process was a breeze and the staff was wonderful. The entire time I dealt with Jody B. she was simply amazing. Very informative and professional. She communicated with me throughout the entire process. Im sure all the staff is amazing but Jody is a Gem and she rocks.
Im a driver with a supply company and deliver to the great maintenance team, several times a week. These guys are always friendly, courteous, professional and ready to help. As I am on somewhat of a time crunch, These guys make it super easy to deliver to them! They trust me as their delivery driver and in turn. I do whatever I can for them. The property always looks great and with a team like this. It shows!
I couldn’t be more pleased with my overall experience of being here! Although it’s been a very short time, I’ve come to find out that the staff is wonderful! Jody has been such a big help right from the very start ! I don’t know what we’d do without her willingness to always make sure we’re taking care of or have any questions! You don’t get that kind of customer service too often! She saw that maintenance came right away, it wasn’t an emergency but I love the fact that Darwin was very responsive! Although we missed him, he was kind enough to leave a note letting us know he was there and attended to our needs. We were overall satisfied with everything since our move in here! I hope it remains this way!
Willows has been a wonderful experience for me I’ve stayed there for 2 years. Nice property. Assistant manager Angie has really amazing customer service. She’s very quick to respond if you any information Very helpful! She also Very supportive I own a catering business. Angie would always ask me what I am cooking today! Lol
My name is Daniele Perkins and I love Willows! I have been living here for a little over 2 years and even with new management and maintenance I have no complaints with staff. I had a mishap a week ago and Dale, the maintenance guy came in and did an amazing job, he made me feel so much better and secure and I can not thank him enough. Dale, thank you, thank you, thank you!! Dale is the man!! I will be leaving in December but I will miss the staff here very much!
Living at The Willows has been an amazing experience. The community is clean and the people are friendly. The staff at the leasing office are so kind and professional. Angie and Dale are so helpful and will be there to provide a solution for whatever problem may arise. This community is also VERY dog friendly so my pup loves living here and meeting new friends too!
My family and I were one of the first residents to move in at the Willows and we have recently signed our third lease. We enjoy everything here from office staff (Angie helps me with every question I have!), location and neighbors. Everyone says hello which is nice. Maintenance is quick and efficient. Shopping and restaurants are so close by. I am glad we chose the Willows at the University.
From the first time I called to ask for more details about the property I felt welcomed by Angies charisma, she encouraged me to schedule a tour. upon arrival I was kindly welcomed by Alexandra the property manager I must say that I was impressed by her professionalism and knowledge, right after I met Dale and Darwin the maintenance guys that were working hard keeping the property safe and clean. they showed the amenities and the apartment I was delighted with the high walls, open spaces, the big bathrooms is a must to me, the neutral colors, the lighting, the modernity that it offers, I just loving it here!!
I have had a perfect experience here at Willows! Angie in the office gave me a tour, and then gave me all the information I needed if I wanted to sign a lease in the future. When I decided I wanted to sign, she was very helpful through the process, and always responded to emails very quickly. All of the staff is great, and they do a great job of keeping the grounds well kept!
Angie Poage is absolutely amazing! She was extremely helpful prior to me being approved and has continued to answer any questions I’ve had to ensure I’m as informed and comfortable as possible! I’ve been at Willows for a couple of months and she is always my go-to when I have any questions or concerns! Definitely ask for her if you’re interested about the complex!
This is a great community to be a part of. I like the fact that I dont see trash or dog poop thanks to Jason the grounds keeper. The staff in the office are always professional and they all work with a sense of urgency. Id recommend the Willows at the university to anyone.
The Willows at university is a beautiful community, with lots of updates and amenities. It’s a safe place for anyone and the neighbors are always friendly. The office staff is awesome! I tip my hat to Alexandra, Angie, and Jody, they always have a smiling face when you walk in and are willing to do whatever possible to make your situation better!
Hello-Ive lived at Willows at the University for roughly 14 months now and this property has evolved in a positive direction.Alexandria Payne, the Property Manager and her team are kind, friendly and always eager to help. Dale, the Maintenance Supervisor and his staff are also very kind, detailed when explaining maintenance issues and has come to fix my maintenance request very quickly! This team is definitely much more effective than the previous team and has made my living experience much better.
Angie is the GOAT!!! Her vast knowledge of the application process made for an exceedingly comforting experience. Every interaction was pleasant and swift. I actually called her manager and demanded Angie should get a five dollar raise for mastering her craft. There are few assistant community managers in the world that could compete with such talent!
The staff at this apartment complex know exactly how to serve its residents or future residents well. Alexandra property manager is always willing to help and provide comfort and convenience to the resident. In addition, they have a maintenance team that provide excellent service led by Dale (Maintenance Supervisor). On the other hand, the location of the Property and its cleanliness are two additional positive factors that incline the preference for Willows at University.
Alexandra, Dale and the entire staff has made this a wonderful place to live. Ive seen a lot of places in the university area and Im excited about staying here for the second year. The plus is it comes with top of the line appliancesincluding washers and dryers and the amenities are beautiful. So many options for beautiful views from your balcony if thats what you want.
Willows at The University Apartments staff is very friendly, precise and informative. Angie have went to good measures to make sure my experience was a great one. I like her professional attitude, empathy, and her Dont Quit attitude to satisfy. Thank you so much Angie.
Lived here for a year will not resign. DO NOT LIVE HERE . Fake luxury apartments for the price point you could live in NODA or south end the complex is a joke honestly .
Normally I do no leave reviews but Jody B deserves a review. Her incompetence is UNMATCHED! I have had several issues with my mail. I work from home and I run an online business so the mail plays a big role in my income. I have had several packages be left at the leasing office or signed for by the receptionists. And on SEVERAL OCCASIONS I was told that my mail wasn’t there by Jody. And it actually was. Because when I call back and I speak to the younger, blonde woman, the packages that Jody couldn’t find are suddenly there. This happened in February and March. And now in April. Over the weekend, I had a very expensive piece of furniture delivered and it was signed for by the leasing office. I went to get it and Jody swore it wasn’t there. I noticed a large box and said “I think this is it” and she tried to convince me it wasn’t. Then I had to step behind her desk and show her the shipping label that had my name on it. It came from overseas so it had more than one label. Instead of doing her due diligence, Jody read one label and marked it as return to sender. Fortunately, I got there before the mail could pick it back up. I would have lost $600+ Because of Jody if the package was returned. Once I pointed out that it was in fact my chair, instead of apologizing for almost losing my purchase, she said “well you got it now!” As if she didn’t MESS UP AND ALMOST COST ME $600+?!?! Then she held the door open for me and before I am even physically out of the door (it took me a while because I had to push this giant box) she says “have a nice day”. It was so awkward because 1. Lady you messed up big time. 2. I’m not even out of the door and you’re rushing me out of the door after messing up.I feel so undervalued. These leasing office employees clearly are trying to cover their tracks because Jody gets very defensive and does not apologize. It could have easily been fixed with a simple I’m sorry. But instead, I got rudeness, I got rushed out of the door, and i STILL AM MISSING A PACKAGE THAT WAS SIGNED FOR BY THE LEASING OFFICE. I don’t even know where it is or if it was returned to sender because it is obvious that Jody does not do her due diligence to check packages. I’m questioning her deductive reasoning and comprehensive skills at this point because anyone with sense would know to check all the labels on a package if there are several.Jody is the absolute worst. This place is not worth it if you are self employed and your income depends on the mail. If you run an online business, this is not the place for you. They advertise their mail facilities and Amazon hub, but what good are these things if the leasing office still accepts packages that they lose or return to sender because someone simply cannot READ?!?!!!!!UPDATE: 2 hours later I received a call from Angie (the young, blonde I mentioned above), and she said she overheard my conversation with Jody so she went back to check the mail room and sure enough, my package was there. It was always there. So Jody was simply rude and persistent about my packages being there because she is a liar. Either she is a liar or she is incompetent and cannot be trusted to simply the mail. Regardless of the situation, Jody literally gaslighted me over my mail. She insisted it wasn’t there. Didn’t do her due diligence to check and lied that she did. She even marked a package that was clearly addressed to me as RETURN TO SENDER and didn’t even apologize when I pointed out that she was actually WRONG. If management cared about their reputation, their workflow, and their residents, they would do something to make sure incompetence is addressed. Empathy training needs to happen. She didn’t even apologize for literally marking my furniture as RTS and then attempted to argue with me by saying “well THIS label doesn’t have your name”. The chair is an international package. Not every label will be USPS. common sense would tell you that. Common sense would also tell you to CHECK ALL THE LABELS. long story short, fire Jody. She is destroying the image of this complex.
I love this community so much, it’s very peaceful and up to date. Ms. Jody and Ms. Angie are the best everrrrrr ! They’ve been helping me with my journey here so I definitely recommend leading through them. I promise they won’t disappoint you!!
Darwin Carranza the maintenance man is always a pleasure and helps me with whatever I need in my apartment. He always makes sure the job is done right and follows up and greets me whenever I see him in the neighborhood. I truly am grateful to have such a good & professional maintenance man. Thank you for everything Darwin!
My experience at the Willows has been positive. I would like to add that maintenance service is excellent. I had two issues back to back that were handled promptly by Darwin Carrara. He was efficient and professional.
My stay so far at this location has been phenomenal, the setup, appliances, and staff are great. Angie always makes sure I’m a priority when I visit the leasing office with any questions. I can trust her to handle every situation that I inform her about. Whether it’s a simple question or something that has me a little stressed. Even when it’s obvious Angie is busy with other residents, I never feel as if she’s being dismissive about my concerns. Jody was great also on my last visit.
This rating is solely for the grounds keeper Jason. The outside looks amazing and thanks for picking up after the dog owners who refuse to do so. With Jason I feel more comfortable knowing that my dog will not get sick from other dog feces.
Willows at the university is definitely a place i’d recommend to anyone. Neighbors are friendly, area is always kept clean. The office staff is awesome. Jody who is always so welcoming, puts 110% by making her guest feel at home . Thank you v much (:
Angie P. was so helpful during my application process! I love living here. Great maintenance and cleanliness. Feels safe
Angie Poage is the best leasing agent at The Willows. She is so kind and always goes above and beyond to help anyone in The Willows community. She helped guide us through the process as Covid had just started and it was hard to process anything and how we were going to move. She was also so kind as to give us a virtual tour and to answer all the questions we had. Granted we were only moving 2 hours from home she definitely helped us find our new home. She is definitely the best and if you have any questions you should ask for Angie.
Stayed here for 2 years and it was a great experience. Angie and the rest of the front office staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!
I love being a part of the University Willows community! Angie (Poage) always takes care of me and makes sure I have the info I need when visiting the office for help. Service that is kind and always served with a smile! Thanks for making my experience memorable Angie!
I was a little skeptical moving here, but I really enjoy it so far it’s not too bad! I’ve only been living here a month and half. My experience has been amazing with the assistant manager Angie Poage always willing to assist me with my technology.I’m not a wiz when it comes to technology, but she helped me set everything up in my apartment. She has even went out and beyond after hours to come to my place when I first moved in to set everything up in my home. I work from home so it’s important for me to be able to connect with my clients. She even took a risk with my dog he isn’t the nicest or most friendly dog but she came right in to make sure I was all setup! That’s what I call labor of love for your job! When ever I have a package she goes out of her way to notify me that it’s there because I’ve had issues with the hub not sending me notifications. She is truly the nicest person I’ve met she has made me feel completely comfortable here.
Angie is wonderful! She’s patient and is always available when I need something fixed. She answers all of my questions thoroughly . She’s delightful !
Jody was amazing moving can definitely be a hassle but she made everything so easy. She was very prompt with her communication and was always welcoming.
Angie and Jodi were both so helpful throughout the whole process of our move in. The application and move-in process was so easy and quick with the help of those two! Definitely recommend asking for them.
It was a smooth process from getting approved on up to the move in. Jody Bland was amazing. I love my apartment and all the amenities.
The apartment are nice but poorly constructed I stay on the 2nd floor and boy do I suffer I can here my upstairs neighbor and downstairs neighbor moving here from another Bell Property (Piedmont Ivey Meadow) I though I was escaping the chaos and loud noises. I have been here only 1 month and I’m ready to move already. The college kids don’t have no respect for there neighbors they play loud music all day and I work from home due to covid I’m really unhappy living here and it’s not worth the money... Jody was great& had great customer service .. I hate I have to write this because I was so excited when we started looking and landed on the willows I guess I should have done more research.. Only recommending if you like loud noises collage kids and dogs (all breeds)
SHADY ACTIVITIES!Living there was absolutely great! The amenities were always well maintained. The apartment unit never had any issues. Parking was thought out. Then after 3 months of moving out, I see a collections on my credit report saying that I owed Willows money. We left the apartment in good standing. We literally left Rachel, and she said “You guys are good! Nothing to worry about.” The thing is... if we owed something, why didn’t we receive any email or mail? Before moving out, they required that they have our new address, so we gave it to them. Some how we did not receive any correspondence that we had a balance remaining. How are we supposed to pay a debt that we do not know exists? Poor management on Willows. Poor customer service on Willows. I 100% DO NOT recommend moving into that complex because they will obviously pull one over you. If this has happened to anyone else, please also write a review and let future “residents” know what could happen.
Haven’t been here long but so far the staff has been nice and very accommodating. Jody helped from start to finish and has been a pleasure to work with.
One of the best apartments I have lived in. Staff is awesome and Jason does a great job at maintaining the property.
This is truly a great apartment complex to live at. Nice, well kept apartments really make you feel at home. With a pool, gym and a beautiful clubhouse, there is not much more you need. The staff is wonderful to work with as they complete work orders promptly and are very professional. If I could give 4.5 stars I would, only for the fact that there is not enough visitor parking throughout the complex. Would recommend.
Highly disappointing. My apartment had a huge molding issue due to a structural defect which cost me alot but still i was charged for extra maintenance at move out.
Great place and Awesome people all the tome. Jody is Fabulous
I had issues with my smoke detectors, shower heads and garbage disposal, so I put in a work order. Maintenance was very responsive. Dale came and fixed everything the same day, and he did a great job.
Angie Poage was great. I moved in quickly with no problems and still none so far.
I visited Willows at the University and Angie was very helpful with giving me a tour and answering all of my questions!
Angie Poage is an absolute gem - so helpful and made us feel right at home at Willows!
I lived here for the past year and have loved the community and apartment. Definitely one of the nicest in town. The staff is amazing, both Rachel Gibson and Anni are great and have assisted me so much. I am relocating to California, but if I were not moving I would definitely resign the lease. You wont regret moving here!
I must say that living at The Willows at the University Apartments has been one of the worst experiences that I have ever had with living in at any Apartment Community ever.I moved here 4 months ago...During this 4 months I have been through pure hell! Management is very inconsiderate. When first moving in, Everyone appeared to be so nice. After living here for about a month in a half. My car was backed up on by A tractor trailer trucked and was totaled. I went into the Management office and explained to them that I had to get a new car and that my parking sticker was destroyed when my car was totaled. Rachel Gibson told me that I would possibly have to pay $100 to get another parking pass. She asked me to bring the info in to prove that I had purchased another car. I did and she made copies and said that she would put in my file & get back with me.She never did....My car has been towed twice. The apartment Complex and a Towing Company called Trust Towing are In Cahoots. The towing company told me that it would be $250 to get my car back. The first time that my car was towed by Trust Towing, I went out into the parking lot and asked the gentleman not to tow my car and I tried explaining my situation, but of course it didn’t help. The following day Jill at the apartment complex office made a few calls and was able to get the cost reduced to $125. Management still had yet responded on how this situation needed to be handled. In the meantime Trust Towing had given me a temporary pass to park. As soon as the pass expired, My car was towed again. Went into the office and was told that there was nothing they could do. They were only concerned about their rent.Bottom Line....Willows at the University is not where you want to be giving your hard earned money to and expect to be comfortable & happy. Management is very inconsiderate, The buildings are infested with frogs, rodents ( rats) People are inconsiderate with their dogs. I have had to clean up around my patio area several times. There is definitely no PARKING spaces to accommodate the residents nor visitors and Management has no concern. I will no longer continue to live here and deal with this type of treatment. I have sent my complaints to BBB, Attorney General & Action 9. Something need to be done about this place!
Ive been here for a week now & I love it! Quiet, welcoming place with a modern spin to it. Staff & maintenance are very quick to respond if you have any issues. Rachel made my move in process as smooth as possible!
Darwin Carranza helped me so much today! He was quick and polite and I couldn’t be more thankful to have a stress free experience in the middle of everything going on right now!
I don’t know where to start! I mean Rachel and Julie and the property manager were all amazing from start to finish. Despite the dishwasher being too big, I really love the entire apartment. It’s really a dream come true. But Rachel was really a huge part of why I love this community !
When I first moved in I was so excited to be at Willows. I loved the area and it just seemed like a great place to call home. After I settled in I started to realize this is not somewhere I would ever want to call home. The staff has made my experience living here horrible. They truly do not care about the residents who live here and it shows when you interact with them. I will be moving soon...truly disappointed!
Moved into my apartment brand new in April and have been loving it. My building was pretty empty when I moved it and since then it’s filling up but it’s been so quit I haven’t had any issues at all. The staff is super friendly and makes sure you are taken care of I would recommend this apartment complex to others. I love the floors and kitchen of the apartment and it’s pretty affordable so far for Charlotte area.
Have had a wonderful experience living here! Angie Paoge is always there to help us with any questions we might have!
Great place! Angie and the rest of the staff are always there to help you out when needed.👍👍
What a great place to call home ! In addition to having a beautiful place to call home and the various amenities offered, the community team is stellar which goes a long way! The team at Willows at the University, Rachel, Brittany, and Anni are the most courteous and professional ever. Their communication via email, phone and in person was very knowledgeable and compassionate. They have great knowledge of what they are doing and are speedy with service. Best guest service around! Cant say enough good things about the team here. I am glad to be a resident. Thanks guys!!!
The people in the office are the most amazing and helpful people. Rachel helped me with my lease and everything and was so wonderful and patient. My two roommates and I had very different schedules so she pretty much had to go through everything 3 times and was to amazing with everything.
My daughter and I toured the property last weekend and had the pleasure of having Rachel Gibson to assist us. She was very professional, personable and genuine. I could tell she truly loves what she does and it shows when she talks about Willows. She exemplifies great customer service, a trait that is rare today. Thank you Rachel, we will definitely be in touch.
This place is amazing the amenities and apartments are absolutely gorgeous. The staff is friendly and helpful great place to live and raise your family. Rachel and Anne are the best ❤️
Beautiful community! Rachel was awesome during my tour of the property. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. Although I initially had some concerns about the location because of the neighboring property (Arwen Vista), I left with a chance of heart! I am definitely considering making this community my new home.
Excellent experience thus far. I am 9 months into my lease and have to thing but great things to say about this community. Clean, safe, well kept and the amenities are great. The office and maintence staff are polite and have been more than helpful when in need. I highly recommend this community for anyone looking in the university area.
This is a lovely place - amenities are nice and the apartments are large and everything is new. All the appliances are top notch. And the people are nice to!
Darwin Carranza is a great worker and super friendly!
Wonderful place, a lot of amenities, the pool is nice, beautiful interiors with shiny new appliances and amazing staff! We had a few complications with the application process but Rachel was very helpful and worked with us and were so happy to be here. Much better than student housing and tiny dorms.
I’ve been here for almost a year. Great place to live! Management is always willing to assist and help with anything.Update 11/26/19: don’t move here. Save your money.
We just moved in a week ago and our experience here so far has been amazing. Rachel Gibson, our leasing consultant, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provided us with the easiest leasing process ever! The inside of the apartments are gorgeous. I put in a maintenance request to fix our lock and it was fixed the next day! I love everything about this community so far.
I love my new home. Excellent location, well built and maintained with an incredible office staff! The assistant manager Brittany is always extremely kind and and helpful. It’s a short drive from anything you want or need in the Charlotte area. It’s great to say I’m the first to live in my popcorn-ceiling free apartment!
Willows at the University is the best community in University. The apartments are brand new and the office staff is great. Anni and Rachel have been really helpful and the maintenance team responds super fast. 5 stars!
I have been at this location almost a year now. I love the office staff. They are very quick to respond to issues and extremely friendly. Whether they are checking on you to make sure issues have been resolved or coming to sit and talk with you by the pool. By far the most pleasant staff I’ve encountered in a while. I definitely utilize the amenities, the gym and theater. Haven’t had a chance to use the business center but it’s nice to know it’s their for our convenience. Only thing they are missing is a play ground for the kids (hint hint to management lol) but they are furry friend friendly. No new complex is without issues but they are going above and beyond to make sure they get all the kinks out and make it a pleasantness experience for all the residents here.
I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. New apartments so the exterior looks nice but that is the only upside. The walls are extremely thin so I can hear everything outside and I am on the top floor. Poor customer service demonstrated by the management after they get you to sign a lease.
The Willows have been such an AWESOME place to live at. The office staff is great, the area is quiet and safe and the apartments are beautiful. I highly recommend Willows at the University!
Wonderful place!! Very nice place to live ;it’s clean and quiet!! Wonderful place, a lot of amenities, the pool is nice, beautiful interiors with shiny new appliances and amazing staff! Great job guys!!
I am moving into this complex in a month or so. My mom was in town so we stopped by the office. I just wanted to see if we could see the model really quick so my mother could see what it looked like. It would have taken 3 minutes to show. We were told by Rachel Gibson in the office you have to schedule an appointment to see the model Monday thru Friday. This was disappointing because she said if you come in on a Saturday wanting to rent she would show the model. Very disappointing. My mother was possibly interested in renting herself. The time she spent talking she could have just showed the model. Now I am nervous to actually move in. Literally the only person who has been helpful is Jill in the leasing office.
The best staff ever they are nice and sweet.Five stars is not even enough for them.Great place with great amenities.
I have no complaints.
Darwin was quick and fixed the issue.
Recently moved in and I love the place!!!! Beautiful apartment, quiet neighborhood, amazing management team. Any issues that arise are fixed promptly and everyone is great!
Great Customer Service and I love my space. My apartment may be the BEST out of my living experiences. To be able to say Im the VERY FIRST PERSON TO LIVE IN MY APARTMENT, WOW. Im speechless. GOD IS GOOD when HE guided me to this property.Ive read a lot of reviews from other residents and just cant believe what Im reading. Rachel Gibson/ other staff has been AWESOME since I moved here and has made my experience the BEST with apartment living. Ive had a few personal issues and they worked with me to take the stress off and told me it was going to be alright. And it has, thank you!
They are advertised as new luxury apartments but don’t be fooled!! The walls are covered with a cheap primer which will easily peel over time. I have had to make several maintenance requests to fix my faulty shower and kitchen sink. The walkways to your apartment are never cleared so spider webs and insects are all over. I have been hounded by the front office staff for having a guest over without their knowledge. There is a tow truck that comes into the neighborhood every week and tows cars if deemed “inappropriately” parked which includes parking on the line or in a compact space. This includes visitors and residents. There are 85% compact car spaces in the front of the building to appear like the neighborhood has sufficient parking but it does not. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.
I’ve spent the last two years at the Willows at The University and cannot say enough great things about this place.Great amenities and staff, this past year Angie and Alexandra has been supportive and answered any questions I had in a timely matter. You ladies rock!
The move in process here was great! I moved in recently and Rachel was helpful and very nice! The amenities are nice and updated and the apartment itself has nice new stainless steel appliances.
I’m not too sure where mine and my fiancé ’s true rating for this place is at so we’ll go with a 3/5. First issue was that we were not told the truth about the washer/dryer being side by side when I asked (and double/triple checked) the leasing team before I signed my lease. The stackable appliances have worked fine now that I’m used to it but they’re so tall, I can’t see the buttons on the dryer. There’s actually not even enough space to have them side by side (though they did attempt after I voiced my concern). The fridge is not the same nice, large one that they have in the model unit. Yes, it’s stainless, but it’s a lot smaller than it should be so there’s large space around it doesn’t always stay in place. Another issue is that the construction is shotty and you can tell it was finished in a hurry. My move in date was pushed because it wasn’t finished. I would’ve waited longer had I had a nicer looking apartment. (You wouldn’t believe how many pictures I took when filling out the paperwork about the flaws!) The biggest complaint we have is our upstairs neighbors. It’s a family with 3 or 4 kids and we hear them literally every second we’re home when they are (running, jumping, screaming, crying, their music, EVERYTHING). It’s the furthest thing from peaceful. We have tried to go to the neighbors directly but got a rude response, and we have tried getting management involved but we’re not sure they did anything since it’s still happening. We plan to speak with management further because it’s become EXTREMELY INTOLERABLE at this point. Because this is a new complex, getting a package here is god awful and I’m sure other residents would agree as I’ve seen other people post on the community page asking about packages. Lastly, the parking here is not great. Most of the parking is for “compact” vehicles, most of the time taken up by very NON compact cars. Overall, we don’t believe it’s worth the price we pay to live here.Update: this is the worst place to call home and we cannot wait until our lease ends (May). Paper thin ceilings is the worst of the problems here. Management finally did something after complaining for over four months without resolve and us having to force action to take place. They’re raising rent once our current lease is up to over $2,000. What a joke. If you want a clean, quiet property to live, this is NOT the place. Avoid at all costs.
All these reviews must be fabricated or made up because my experience with “The Willows” has been nothing short of terrible. I would give less stars if possible but it’s not. The apartment complex is nice but don’t be fooled. Management is a nightmare. Don’t for one second think that if you follow their rules and regulations that it won’t still end in a violation. The way they handle business around here is messy. Don’t even get me started on the towing situation. I know a lot of ppl have private towing companies but how do you have your towing company comply with you blatantly picking on the residents you have an issue with and getting their cars towed. This establishment is unprofessional as a whole. I couldn’t be more excited for my lease to almost be up.
I feel like I was profiled for having a large dog, maybe even the color of my skin yesterday but whom I assume is the office manager and told to leave private property but the oddest thing happened, I was told to leave due to the dog I had, a nine year old Doberman.. but he lady tried to pet him... This might be petty (shrugs) but IDC
The worst complex ever!!! all of the visitor parking was full and so i parked in front of my friends building to wake up and my car was towed. When my friend first moved here i stayed with her for two days and my car was never towed. It seems as if they have cars towed when they feel like it. It’s all a money making scheme!!
I absolutely love living at this location. Customer service is great, maintenance is efficient & quick, and overall a lovely place to live.
Very friendly professional staff, quiet community . Family oriented community as well
My family and I moved in 2 months ago and so far we are in love with our apartment. The staff is very friendly and when we had a little miscommunication at the beginning they quickly resolved the issue and took care of us. The amenities are great and the location is good. We have a lot of construction going on which can be annoying but its expected because they are still building. I hope it remains safe snd quiet once more people move in.Deedra C.
Great place to live & call home! Good community.Whole staff is very nice & helpful which includes Annie(Manager), Brittnay, Rachel, Mike & Jerry.
I was fooled. When I first moved here I was so excited because it was a brand new. But as time went on I see how cheap the construction is. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. I can hear everything my upstairs neighbor does. The paint job and woodwork looks like a child did it. Not neat at all. The boiler closet is sloppy and looks like it was just thrown together, wasted space. Children do not have a place to play only the dogs do. That doesn’t make sense. Not family friendly at all. The breezeways stink and the landscaping in the back of my building is nothing but mud and dog feces. Very poor construction! Every other day someone is banging on the buildings repairing stuff. So don’t think you are sleeping in on a Saturday morning.
Though the complex is brand new and conveniently located there are several major issues. The finishes are sloppy and the construction is poor. You can hear everyone walking on the outside stairs. You can hear all your neighbors walking above you, you can hear every conversation above and below you. You can hear everyone’s shower and toilet. If you are over the HVAC you can hear the three of them very clearly and they are extremely loud. You can hear the rain loudly in the drains. If your window is in the front, the street light shines right into your window causing you to never get a good nights sleep because of the huge bright light shining into your master bedroom. The laundry vents are directly above the second bedroom - so if there is fabric softener in your neighbors dryer - the smell goes directly into the second bedroom. You can smell what ever your neighbors are cooking. If they have a sound system with a subwoofer you can hear it clearly throughout your apartment. It is spacious and the appliances are new. The amenities are good. But you can hear everything outside and inside. If you want a peaceful place to live - this is not the apartment complex for you. It’s extremely noisy all the time.
These apartments are BEAUTIFUL and the staff is so friendly! I just got back from a group tour and even though one of the individuals in the tour was rude, Rachel was professional and handled it well! This individual bombarded Rachel with questions and tried to dominate the tour, which created a negative and awkward situation. Besides the weird tour, I instantly fell in love with these apartments and I can not wait to move in!
Willows is modern, conveniently located, and clean! The staff is so helpful and consistent with keeping residents up-to-date.
The apartments are average, but the management is horrible. There was a rodent in my apartment, and management waited three days to act on the issue. I had to go to Home Depot to get rid of the rodent myself ! Filing a complaint is a waste of time, because their response is always “I completely understand. I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do about it”. God forbid, your flimsy parking pass falls off, then you have to pay $225 to get your car out of the tow yard. The neighbors are loud college students who leave dog feces in front of your door. Save your money, I know I wish I did!
This has by far been the WORST community experience I have had. From the moment my boyfriend and I signed the lease, it has been a complete disaster. One week prior to moving into our unit, we received notice that our apartment flooded, therefore, pushing our move-in date a week back...and the worst part was we already had new furniture scheduled to be delivered on our move-in date. When we rescheduled one of our deliveries, we were charged a $30 convenience fee. The ONLY good thing from the first inconvenience was that they prorated the rent for the move-in setback. Then, a couple months into the lease, we are pretty much still getting settled and comfortable and we wake up one morning around 10:30 AM to our bathroom flooding! I mean, you can just imagine how irritated we were then, being that this is, in fact, a BRAND NEW community. Since the incident, we were left with damages done to the walls and ceilings in several areas of the unit. The staff came and made “exploratory holes” in our ceiling to see how bad the damages were. Now, while we have been MORE than patient and understanding with them, we also were more inconvenienced by being denied for a transfer to another unit in the community AND we had to allow them to bring a very large dehumidifier in our bathroom area — which took up tons of space and was SUPER loud, and kept us both and our 3-year old son awake at night. They kept the dehumidifier in our apartment for over 3 weeks, all while they kept promising us we would be “compensated” for the inconvenience and still no response from the community. I believe the biggest thing that irritated me the MOST was that the office allowed several people enter and arrive to our unit UNANNOUNCED, including one incident where a carpet cleaning crew walked into our unit after literally ONE knock and did not wait for a response or even bother to announce themselves as they walked in to my boyfriend getting dressed for work and our 3-year old naked as I was changing his diaper. The second flooding incident took place July 27th and it is now September 4th....this will be our second time paying rent at the regular rate, instead of being taken care of for the month we have had to deal with that issue. Also, on top of our personal concerns, the community has obviously not properly planned this complex....for example, they just decided to build a community gate last minute, causing many delays in the traffic in and out of the apartment complex, and I also got a flat tire because of the construction going on around it. The parking is another thing that is absolutely horribly planned and constructed here, consisting of many “compact” spaces that are quite useless...honestly, I am just displeased that as a resident, I find trouble parking in front of my building because there is such a lack in parking and visitor parking. I personally do not recommend ANYONE sign a lease here because it frankly is not worth it.
Brittany was so pleasant to work with and made the move in process super easy! It was such a relief coming from an apartment complex that didn’t value their residents to one that did
I got candy in the bag love this place
Awesome apartment with great amenities:)
