I love living at Overton Row. I have lived here for almost 3 years and it has been my favorite apartment complex that I have lived at. And I have lived all over the U.S.-from L.A. to CT to Charlotte. The staff is great and I love all of the events.Anytime I have had an issue with plumbing, etc., the maintenance staff has been very responsive and have fixed whatever the issue has been very quickly.I also love the neighborhood. Everything is in walking distance so my puppy and I are taking great walks.I highly recommend living at Overton Row.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience living at Overton Row! I have been temporarily displaced from my home due to a flood, and the staff at Overton Row continues to go above and beyond to accommodate for my needs and provide the best rate around. My condo repairs continue to drag on due to countless unforeseen delays, and the Overton Row team has never failed to respond quickly-- with kindness and a variety of solutions for how to help me navigate my challenging situation. Not only is the staff fantastic, but my studio apartment is gorgeous! I love the modern cabinets, brand new appliances, cute balcony over-looking the courtyard, and large bathroom. Ive also greatly enjoyed taking full advantage of the pool and fitness facility! The last thing I must mention is the amazing Apartment Life team at Overton. Every month there are fun events for the residents, and I have made new friends while living here! All in all, I would highly recommend Overton Row for all-- whether you need a short term stop-over, or are looking to settle in for a longer time-- Overton is a fantastic place to live!
While I had a little bit of a harder time reaching them by phone (they were probably on a tour) the leasing office was great in person. I had low expectations because I thought this was just another apartment bldg in clt. Parking garage driveway is a little narrow and Central Ave is a busy street but those are my only cons. Sarah was awesome at helping me find what I like and I ultimately found my future home. Cant wait to move in.
I moved into this complex from out of state, and Christine was extremely helpful with helping me arrange my move in and answering any questions that I had. The employees and leasing office staff are all very kind and were very helpful for a smooth moving transition. The complex is very clean and has lots to offer!
Christine at Overton has been very helpful by providing me with all the information I needed! She’s very welcoming, helpful and professional. The process of leasing has been made very easy through her prompt and detailed responses. Best experience I’ve had leasing anywhere!
I just moved in recently but so far my experience at Overton Row has been very good. The amenities are great and the place is clean and well managed. The location is also very nice with plenty of good restaurants nearby. As for the move-in process, Owen was super helpful in getting everything organized for me. He was available at all times when I had questions and made everything much easier.
Since before I even signed my lease, I have had a great experience with Overton Row. I worked with Owen and he was always very friendly, timely, and professional. Now that I have moved in, I love all the amenities and the entire place is very clean and well coordinated. It is also in a great location with everything you could need nearby!
I recently moved into Overton Row in the Plaza-Midwood neighborhood, so my experience thus far is limited to the search and leasing processes at this great location. Christine, Owen and Jason were all very helpful and responsive regarding questions I had throughout the difficult task of finding the right apartment. The prices here seem reasonable given the surrounding apartments and you cant ask for a better spot situated along a great road in Central Ave. I look forward to updating this review when I have more experience with the place, but until them Im very happy with the service!
I’ve had nothing but an enjoyable experience since I moved in Nov 2020. Staff is most pleasant whenever I do need to reach out to them. Grounds are kept well and clean.
I want to enjoy the pool but its crowded. Such a lack of seating. When will more seating be installed? There is also a consistent issue with pet waste outside around the community. I wonder if there is a plan to remedy this.
I moved into Overton Row about a month ago and love it! The amazing amenities and fun events they throw for tenants is worth the price and a great way to make friends. Christine made my moving process easy and went above and beyond for me. Excited to be a part of Overton Row!
I just moved in not too long ago, but I LOVE living in Overton. Although I chose to live in a Studio, it doesnt feel tiny at all like some studios can. The ceilings are high, and the fixtures make the place feel pretty high end.The amenities, the apartments, everything is so well kept. My studio was in wonderful condition when I moved in. When it came to leasing, I worked specifically with Christine who is so nice, quick to respond, and always provided answers to my many questions. Owen who also works in the leasing office is great as well. The maintenance is also quick and responsive. I put in a service request, and my issue was resolved the very next morning.Lastly, when I was looking around for apartment complexes in Plaza Midwood, I felt like Overton Row had some of the better prices when it came to rent.
I love living here. This building is very well managed and taken care of. The elevators and common areas are always very clean. I have lived in multiple apartment complexes, and Overton Row by far has the best and most professional management and maintenance staff.I spent a long time comparing complexes in Plaza, and chose Overton Row because of how pet friendly it is. I have two Border Collies, and they have plenty of green space around the building to sniff and use the bathroom. The dog park is the biggest out of all the complexes I toured, and has turf so your dogs don’t get muddy. I take my dogs to the dog park every day, and I usually am able to spend a lot of time with them alone in the dog park before someone else asks to come in. It is nice to be able to live so close to the city, and still maintain my normal routine with my dogs.As far as my particular unit, it is extremely nice on the inside. We live in the A5 one bedroom plan, and the kitchen is massive. We have plenty of room to host our friends, and there is a perfect nook in the bedroom to set up a home office. I always get comments on how nice the building and unit is when I have people over. Also, we seldom hear our neighbors and don’t have noise issues at all.I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but I feel it is well deserved!
My experience with Overton Row was a nightmare. Two months AFTER moving out, I can say my roommate and I are officially done with them. There were just numerous issues that we had while living there and most of it stemmed from the leasing office staff and their lack of attention. They made countless errors and they just expected you to tolerate them. They mailed our security deposit to the wrong apartment # at our new location after providing the new and updated apartment # twice. It took two months to get the security deposit back because of an honest clerical mistake. Like I said they had made mistakes the entire time we were there so this wasnt surprising. There was a tiny beetle infestation on the roof that affected our apt and others on the 6th floor and management said nothing about it until we complained multiple times. There wasnt an email letting anyone know. These small bugs were in our beds and bathrooms and a leasing office staff member just said at least they dont bite. Then proceeded to offer to have an exterminator spray our apartment w/ the same thing they were currently using on the roof that was not working. Honestly, just save your money and look else where. The apartments are small like the size of shoeboxes and are not worth the price. People will throw up in the garages/garage entrances and it just sits there smelling awful. There is about 13 visitor parking spaces for 6 floors of guests. There is never any visitor parking and nothing near by so if you decide to have a guest over for dinner or something, they take the risk of being booted. My roommate had a guest booted and when the tow person came they said Overton Row called them and told them they were not booting people enough and to come out more often. Overton Row wants you to pay $5 A DAY for a guest parking pass.
I enjoyed my time at Overton Row! Jason and his team are extremely helpful! Jason was knowledgable and patient with me during the duration of my lease. Id actually go back to Overton Row!Thanks Jason for a great experience!!
Great experience with this community - and the representatives I interacted with. The leasing process was very professional and efficient. Christine answered all my questions about the property, and even anticipated some before I asked them. Management is responsive to requests, and does a good job reaching out to follow-up with residents. The community is clean, well maintained, and has good amenities.
Christine was absolutely wonderful! She was responsive, knowledgeable and helpful in searching for and signing a lease. The property is in a great Plaza location, it’s clean, amenities are great and we’re excited to have moved in!!
Ive lived here for a short amount of time so far. The Leasing Office, specifically Owen, has been very helpful during the entire process - from my Tour of the available apartments, my planning for move-in day, and my first few weeks living here. Ive received quick, courteous responses to my questions. Lastly, the complex itself is very nice!
I moved in recently and I am really loving the complex and community! Christine was an enormous help and she made the move in process so easy. She was able to schedule my tour quickly which is one of the many reasons I chose Overton Row over the many other complexes I toured. The staff are super friendly and always helpful. The area is very secure and just the right distance from the city along with so many amenities and a very modern feel. I look forward to my stay here at Overton Row!
I moved in recently and I love the complex. Christine has been very helpful. She made the move in process easy. The staff here is friendly, professional, and accommodating. I have been very pleased so far and look forward to my stay here at Overton Row!
Very happy with this apartment complex! I have just re-signed my lease to live here for another year. The management team is great! They are responsive and helpful, which is very important to me. I can almost never hear my neighbors - the sound insulation is great. All of my appliances/cabinets are modern and up to date.I would recommend Overton Row. It is the best apartment complex that I have lived in while living in Charlotte.
Love the location of this apartment and our amenities. Christine is part of the management team and is so great to work with. She was so helpful when there were changes with our package delivery system, any needs we have, and she is always so willing to help.
Ive only lived here for a week, but I love it so far. I moved here from out of state and signed the lease site unseen. I used apartments.com to start my initial search. From my first contact (looking for information about the building, available units, pricing, etc.) the leasing staff was extremely helpful and quick to reply to all of my questions/concerns. It was less than a month between my first email inquiry and me being fully moved in. My apartment is exactly what was shown in the virtual tour/informational documents. When I arrived, the apartment was spotless, and all of the appliances are relatively new and work perfectly. I have no complaints since moving in. The other residents are friendly and I haven’t hand any issues with noise. My interactions with the staff have been limited to accidentally locking myself out of the building, and an issue with a delivery. In both situations the staff were incredibly friendly and happy to help.
Ive never had such a quick turnaround for a maintenance request! Matt the Maintenance Supervisor made all the difference to my experience at Overton Row and much deserves a promotion. Ive made several requests in the 1 month Ive been here (toilet running to bathtub handle having not been attached to installing my kitchen hood/ fan) and every time he has been very professional. Recently Matt made sure that I was able to get my oven/ stove examined and replaced (ended up becoming necessary) in the same day. He was very polite and respected social distancing/ mask wearing. He also understood that I work from home so much so that he would step out of my apartment when he would get calls from the office so as not to disturb my meetings. Beyond this, he kept me updated as he worked and even continued working after his watch got caught and destroyed. He and a colleague made sure to sweep up after pulling out the old stove and before bringing in the replacement. Despite how long this ordeal took, he didnt rush the process and addressed other questions I had about my ADA unit. THANK YOU MATT!
Great place to live in Charlotte. Friendly neighbors and clean amenities. The gym is amazing and the resident parking is a plus.
We lived here for two year from the time it was built (April 2018). What made our experience stand out over our time here was the kind and hardworking staff. There was different management in the beginning and although the facilities are great and maintenance prompt, the staff was not the best. However, the new management and staff are top notch! They listened to residents when asked to put mirrors in the parking deck and facilitate community events, as well as just try to get to know each resident personally. We actually moved out a few weeks ago and that is when they really shined. We ended up breaking our lease to move into a house and they made that process very easy for us. We accidentally sent a few packages to the old address and they kindly hunted them down for us! What above and beyond service! It is rare to find an apartment with such down to earth and thoughtful staff!
I had an amazing time living here with my friends for 6 months. Move in was easy and with plenty of elevators it is fairly easy to avoid stairs and lifting heavy stuff for long. I have used their swimming pool, fire place, gym, and for those of you have friends like me who want to show you a place - theres a real nice skyline of the Charlotte city at the very top of the 6th floor parking deck. Its great for a night view of the city from afar. Being fairly new this building has a lot of fun tenant events to keep residents happy even during the pandemic. Some free events I have attended here include (all grab-n-go due to pandemic): Beer and wing night, DIY spiced rum/wine night, cocktail night, pumpkin viewing and wine night, pretzel night, and it goes on for more fun events. All of these amenities are included in your residency. They have valet trash pickup which operates every night except for Fridays and Saturdays. The maintenance crew are very helpful, responsive, and friendly. With one work order placed you can expect a response in less than 24 hours if its a workday. Definitely follow their insta as well because there are some fun announcements on there. 10/10 highly recommend.
Caleb was extremely helpful. I was already living in plaza midwood at a community that i was not happy with. Caleb thoroughly answered all of my questions and made sure we knew everything we needed to know about Overton Row and made us feel very welcomed. I appreciated that a lot. If you tour, ASK FOR CALEB!!
Lived here since Sept 18 and I love it. Not without a few little hiccups along the way but the current management are doing a much better job than the previous. Polite, helpful and maintenance issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Impressed by how the team have tried to involve residents in virtual events during this difficult period.
With the crisis happening and me being in need of getting into a new place, Overton Row employee Caleb Jenkins was super friendly and helpful. He was able to give me a virtual tour, and supplied me with several resources in the area for my family needs. He really paid attention to everything I was looking for in my new home and showed me just how much the apartment compliments what I want. I will for sure be sending more business to him and if anyone is in the search of an apartment . Use Caleb Jenkins as your consultant he’s phenomenal. ❣️❣️❣️ Thanks Overton Staff for everything!
They have been absolutely stellar with helping me move to another apartment during this pandemic. They are currently working from home, and doing a stellar job! They have been super attentive and worked hard to find an apartment thats a good fit for me. So happy that Ive renewed with them. Theyre taking a lot of stress off my plate during this time, and have always made me feel comfortable here! 10/10 recommending to all my friends and family.
This has been my favorite apartment complex to live at, by far. I’ve been in Charlotte for 5 years, lived 3 different places.I lived here for 2 years, in a two bedroom on the 6th floor, facing the pool. Over the summer, pre-COVID, it would be a little loud but it wasn’t something bothersome. The soundproofing of the walls between bedrooms and adjacent units were solid. The main door to the shared hallway isn’t as sound proofed as I would like, but it’s only noticeable when people are yelling — which was hardly ever (I could count the occasions on one hand). We were in a B2-style unit, and I had the second bedroom, which is shaped like a trapezoid. I could easily fit a desk, queen sized bed, and dresser and still have plenty of space. The walk-in closet was very spacious, with plenty of overhead and hidden storage. The master bedroom is square, but was smaller in the bedroom and closet space. I think it would be difficult to comfortably fit a desk in there. My roommate had his bed and a dresser, but that worked for him.The living room and kitchen are both nice and spacious, but because of the placement of the door to the patio it made it a little difficult to fit anything more than a single sofa in there. The kitchen has an L-shaped back wall with plenty of counter space and a separate island with the dishwasher, sink, and garbage disposal. The island also served as a bar for eating dinner. We sat two barstools, but you could probably fit three.Maintenance was always fast for repairs, I never had to wait more than 1-2 days for any reported repairs to be fixed. I only met one or two of them in the time I’d lived there though, because most of the work was done while I was at work.I can’t speak much for the amenities, because I hardly used them. There’s a gym, common kitchen with seating, an office space you can rent, and a pool. I walked through the common kitchen and pool often to get to the mailboxes, and they were always clean and free of debris, which is certainly aesthetically pleasing.Lastly is the parking. Having a deck is one of the reasons I wanted to stay here, and there’s plenty of parking to go around for residents. Visitors though, not so much. There’s only about 15-20 spaces in the lower deck, outside of the gate. They’re almost constantly filled. If you’re planning to have people visit, have them park across the street by Moo and Brew (it’s free) or get in touch with the office ahead of time for a parking pass (it’s $5 per night). Also, fisheye mirrors were installed so you can see around corners at the deck, too. The train passing by can be loud depending on where you stay, but honestly it just becomes background noise that you’ll never notice. My apartment was about 200ft from the tracks.Current management is much better than the previous, so don’t look at old reviews with too much strife.
Overton Row felt like home from the moment I walked through the doors. From their doggy credenza full of treats and goodies, to the amazing coffee available 24/7, to the friendly staff, everything just felt “right”. I knew this was my home before Steve ever showed me the apartment. And without a doubt, Steve is one of the best things about living at Overton Row. He’s always there when you need anything, he made the entire process smooth and better than I could ever expect, and most importantly, he makes me smile and laugh every time we chat. Truly blessed to be part of the Overton family!!! Thank you guys!! And thank you for all the fun events and celebrations too. It’s great to feel part of a community. Love!
Caleb was amazing with my experience! I love how personable he was with me. We loved the apartment and the tour was great...nice community. Our family will be making this our new home! Please ask for Caleb he will be knowledgeable with everything.
Great area and great apartment complex. Steve was very helpful during and after the move in process. Highly recommend living here.
A++ Highly Recommended!! We moved to Overton Row as a temporary solution, between selling and purchasing of a new home. After six months here, we can truthfully state that this has been a wonderful place to live. Units are modern and lovely, maintenance needs are responded to quickly and the new management & front office team is extraordinary! All are quick to greet you with a warm Hello, how are you.. no matter where you cross paths in the building. Management team works hard to create an environment of inclusivity by sponsoring multiple monthly events, which bring residents of all ages together to socialize and have a great time. It’s a fun place to live. Add in that the location is ripe with food, drink & entertainment options, within walking distance... you can’t go wrong! We’d also like to give a special shout out to Steve Shannon, front office, for going above & beyond his daily duties!
Edit: This place has dropped off a cliff in the past year. There is no control over the bad residents that have filtered in. Parties, fighting, and music until anywhere between 1 and 4 AM any given night. You’re left to fend for yourself as management is unresponsive. Unfortunately it has become more of a dormitory than an apartment complex for young professionals. Not resigning and if you’re thinking about signing here this is your warning. So far Overton has been great. Good neighbors, not too noisy at night. Everyone at the leasing office is fantastic. A few breweries and brunch spots in walking distance too.
What an amazing neighborhood and building. Staff is exceptional. We are literally spoiled with amenities and 24hr maintenance and gym. A Coffee machine in the lobby that keeps me alive 🤣🤣🤣And every month there are fun events in the lobby where you can meet your neighbors. Steve was the gentleman who I corresponded with the application and process & Kaleb moved me in, also a sweetheart. Steve blew my expectations, worked so fast and hard to get me in on my desired date. Both Steve and the staff are so lovely. I’ve been here a month and beyond happy I am here. Thanks Steve for being so Epic !! You rock !!
So far, its been pretty good. People living here are cordial, walking distance to some cool spots and overall nice looking apartment. The folks at the front desk are nice and (Caleb) helped me through some complications with my application.
The property is very beautiful and Caleb was a great help for me. He was extremely friendly, professional and nice. I couldn’t have gotten a better tour. Definitely considering making this my new residence.
Overton row is great and super fun. I love the events because it’s a great way to meet new people when you first move in. The events are always light and fun. Plus the food is always good and the drinks are a plus!
In one week Amy, Matt and the new cleaning crew had made Fabulous progress! Mirrors will be placed for blind corners in parking ramp, dog park will have the enclosure corrected so small dogs cannot escape! Overton has always been a great place to reside, however, improvements coming almost daily. Kudos to cleaning crew, great job. Love Midtown living, great location at Overton with pool and common rooms. Check it out.
Overton Row was extremely helpful and quick with my move! Jon is always there when I need him & he’s the most genuine person I’ve ever met. He’s full of life & was just excited as I was! The staff does a great job accommodating the community & keeping us up-to-date with special events & current news. I’m so glad I chose Overton Row as my new home! It’s absolutely beautiful & the staff is amazing!
We have been here 6 months and it has been a great experience. The very efficient staff acts more like friends and neighbors than employees. Free coffee and hot chocolate merit a mention. The resident activities are fun. Chloe is a particularly fun host. The entire complex is more like a neighborhood than a building.
Absolutely stunning property. The staff is so great! I would recommend living here to anyone looking in the area :) Kara was my leasing agent, and she is AWESOME! When you go tour, ask for her. Shell get the job done right and provide the best experience possible! Im super excited about my new home here at Overton Row!!
I would recommend this great complex to everyone. I have lived here for 3 weeks now and have no complaints. The pool is almost complete, the work out room has all brand new easy to use equipment, and the amenity space is huge. My apartment is so pretty as well. The maintenance staff is quick to respond to any issues, and the office is willing to help me with anything. They even went to check on my apartment when I thought I left my flat iron on. I hope my review can help at least one person make a great decision to live here!
At first I enjoyed living here when I was the first to ever rent out my apartment but then had a few instances with my apartment below:1) Had a millipede problem that had to be serviced 3-4 times in a few months period prior to new management taking over2)At the beginning of my lease, my water filter in my fridge needed to be replaced which was replaced immediately at no cost as it is their appliance. When it happened again a month ago I was to be charged $40 due to wear and tear and it being similar to a light bulb (Overtons comparison) if it goes out. Not the same to me and no apartment I have ever lived in has charged this. Water filters average life is 6 months so technically every single tenant to live here will have this additional $40 charge assuming there lease is over 6 months. However, they will change an air filter at no charge.
Caleb was awesome and great service, loved how he toured me on the property and broke every single detail down while providing me quotes for units of my choice without leaving anything behind. Great service! ☺️
I recently toured Overton Row and the studios there. I was impressed by the entire complex, the design, the studio layout and finishes. Great gym, too. But I was most impressed by Chloe Griffin. She provided a great tour, was really personable, answered all my questions and has followed up several times over the past several days. The only reason I chose not to live at Overton Row was to be within walking distance of my job in Uptown.
I have lived in these apartments since the beginning. They have been nothing short of amazing. The maintenance is always on time, and the office staff is extremely helpful and so nice. They act like they truly care about me living here. My apartment is fully upgraded and was perfect at move in. The move in process was easy and flawless. The events that are held are unique and the fact that they are once a week is a huge plus. Plaza Midwood is such a dope location. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome community in a great location!
The worst apartment complex. I would not recommend to anyone. Not because of the noisy train that other people complain about but because of the management. They can’t keep track of their emails because everything goes to one email address. We sent them multiple emails about about certain documents and they claimed they never received them and responded with a threatening email. Now they are saying we need to get a letter notarized to term out lease even though we are paying for our full lease term? In addition, the night before my wedding we rented a car and one of the leasing managers saw us loading the car at 11pm. We went to our car at 5:30am to drive to our wedding, and the car was gone. To me it seemed like this was on purpose because I’ve never heard of anyone getting towed from the parking garage. Anyways. Do not live here! The building itself is nice and new but not worth the headache of all of the extra documents and terrible management.
I was notified one week before my scheduled move in date that they did not have the Clear for Occupancy from the city, therefore I would not be able to move in until a later date. Time off work and payment for moving trucks had already been arranged. Overton Row simply offered me a different, more expensive apartment to move into.Once I finally moved in I walked into a dirty apartment. Floors, bathrooms and windows all visibly dirty. Used toiletries were also found in one of the bathrooms. My car was towed from inside the gated parking deck less than a week after moving in. Overton Row had to be repeatedly called and emailed to get information about where my car was. My car also incurred damaged while being towed. Again, Overton Row was zero help in this matter. Most recently the Overton Row staff has tried to say that I signed a 12 month lease. I have documents both electronic and printed that indicate I signed a 10 month lease.Simply put, I do not recommend Overton Row apartments.
I moved into Overton Row just over a month ago & I’m in love with the area! Everything is within walking distance (including my fav-the Thirsty Beaver-the people are so great there!!) I’m also a fan of the pool & the weekly resident events. Great for meeting new friends & neighbors! Highly recommend.
I moved here from the Chicago area recently & one of my coworkers recommended Overton. Love the area. Staff was very helpful & kind. Maintenance has been great. Love that the pool opened early.
Our experience at Overton Row has been absolutely incredible! Chloe Griffin has been a key factor to our positive experience here. She and the rest of the team always go out of their way to make sure we have everything we need to feel at home. Also, the maintenance team at Overton Row is probably the best I’ve ever met. They’ve been very responsive to every request we’ve made and we couldn’t be more pleased with the level of service that we’ve received.
It seems like the people in the front office dont really care to help you. Theres some sort of package delivery issue and the person working at the front desk could care less about you trying to get your package. Nice apartment, maybe hire nicer people to work the front desk??
Relocating to Charlotte, and I was very anxious about what area to move to. I shopped multiple properties around central Charlotte, but the staff at Overton went above and beyond. A beautiful property with amazing amenities. Alex, in particular is very kind, knowledgeable, and made sure that I got the apartment that fit my exact needs and that I felt secure in my decision. Don’t hesitate to move here!
From signing the lease to moving in, Overton row has been easy, convenient, and stress free. We are thoroughly enjoying all the amenities (our dog is ESPECIALLY enjoying the park & wash room.) The location is perfect and walkable! Our apartment is a treat to wake up in every morning. My favorite parts are our kitchen and our dining area. Would absolutely refer others without hesitation!
I wouldn’t recommend this apartment complex to my worst enemy! This place is horrible1) My package was stolen from my mailbox from the previous owner of my apartment because they didn’t change the locks or codes. They wouldn’t help me with the situation even though it was their fault! They literally throw the packages in the hall where anyone can take it.2) The building is always gross with throw up in the hall and elevator every weekend! It reeks of smoke in the building all the time!3) The parking is a JOKE!! They will boot any and everyone for no reason. The guest parking area is sooo small! There is barely 20 visitor parking spots for a 6 floor building. They boot my guest if they are here for more then 24 hours!4) The people who work here are rude and very Unprofessional. They seem like they don’t want to help. They make living here a hassle and I hate it.
I just moved into Overton Row and have been extremely impressed. From the clean and updated appliances, to the knowledgeable and friendly staff, I can see myself living here for a long time. If you are looking for a brand new and fun place to live, I would highly recommend here!
Overton Row is an amazing residence. Cozy and aesthetically pleasing apartment spaces and the amentities are great. The staff there definitely help me with all of my needs and concerns. Chloe Griffin is especially helpful as she is the main person I ask for assistance. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment in the Midpoint area.
How about you worry about cleaning your elevators instead of towing guests for not moving their car to a different spot every 24 hr when there are spots open everywhere!! Not to mention the lack of professionalism from their office staff!!! My girlfriends move in experience was laughable to say the least. I’ve worked in property management since 2012 and let me tell you this place is being ran by a bunch of jokers. DONT LIVE HERE!!
I have been keeping an eye on these beauties for awhile now. To say I am excited about moving in would be an understatement. Not to mention the incredible staff who were just as excited as I was. I call sometimes twice a day with a new question and they are always so kind and friendly. If you have been thinking about moving TAKE A TOUR, you will not be disappointed.
The staff at Overton Row is top notch! I was very nervous moving from out of state as I was moving sight unseen. The staff was extremely helpful & patient with my hundreds of questions! I LOVE the location & amenities! A+++!
I just recently moved to Overton after living uptown mainly for the location. I work from home, so having everything within walking distance is key. The staff is very helpful & friendly. The weekly resident events are a really nice touch.
Thanks to the wonderful staff for being so helpful, friendly and helping to guide me through the selection and ultimately, the moving process as well! I’ve never leased in new construction, but the staff simplified it for me. My move last weekend went without a hitch and the staff was there to help me along the way. I’m loving it here & so excited for the amenities!! I would highly recommend the staff, as well as the community @ Overton Row!
Great place to live! From the amenities, to the staff, and of course the great location - you can’t go wrong! If you’re lucky enough, take one of the apartments with the view... totally worth it!
I can’t say enough about my experience with Overton Row & the staff. I was moving out of state & I had expected that it would be a huge hassle, but the leasing agent was great in following up & went above and beyond in simplifying the process! (They even had accent walls painted for me before I moved in!) I was nervous about leasing without seeing the actual apartment, but they had sent me lots of info & videos that helped me to make my decision. I highly recommend Overton Row! 👏🏻
The community is nice to live in when youre not stepping over dog feces or walking through a hallway that was urinated
Please save yourself the time & money and look elsewhere! I was given a completely different apartment at move-in then the one I toured. Management refuses to refund my money due to “policy” despite the fact that I was misinformed about the unit I was signing a lease for. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a trend at this community. Unfortunately this seems to be the result of either shady or unaware management.
I just moved in and the apartments are exceptional! The staff was nothing short of amazing and the units are completely upgraded. Not to mention the great location in the center of Plaza-Midwood. I am very happy with my decision and would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for their new home.
I lived at Overton Row for almost year, and I had a very poor experience. First, we were not given the apartment we were promised at our move in date. I had packages lost, and was misinformed by management on multiple occasions. When I asked management to make it right, they always refused. This is a company that doesnt care about doing right by the tenants, and only cares about money. The front desk people are nice, but that is not a good enough reason to stay. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Chloe Griffin is great! I moved from Connecticut to Overton Row sight unseen. Chloe helped me so much. She was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. She was very helpful when I got here.
I love living here! The staff is amazing, they always go above and beyond for me! I couldn’t see myself living anywhere else.
Great place. Staff is amazing, especially Chloe Griffin. Of all the apartments I’ve lived in, I’ve never come across someone as personable and genuine as Chole. She remembered my name from the day I toured the place, which I thought was just incredible. She’s very approachable and will gladly help you solve any issue right away, as she has done for me multiple times. So not only is the staff great, but overall it’s an awesome place!
Awesome place, very nice and friendly staff, close to so many things. Amenities are great. Glad I chose this place over the others I was considering.
Had a tour with Chloe and Overton Row was such a beautiful property, she definitely sold it for me! The clubhouse space was very open and had all the features that I am looking for, for comfort and relaxation.
Lived here for two years and it was great! I didnt interact with the staff very often, but the times I did they were all very quick to help!
This is an amazing building in such a great neighborhood! The staff is so helpful, especially Alex! He’s on his game
The staff is friendly & helpful. Maintenance is professional & knowledgeable. There was an initial construction delay last year, but it wasn’t their fault & they were very communicative.
I have lived in Overton Row for about a month now and feel like I’ve had enough time to work out the pros and cons of this complex.Pros:-Amenities are all brand new and majority of them are open 24/7. They are currently trying to get the fitness center to stay open 24/7 which I appreciate.-The complex is very clean and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. -All maintenance requests are done ASAP and the maintenance team are super friendly.-The cost of the apartment is comparable to the other apartments in the area.-Pets are allowed and they are super dog friendly. There is a dog park that is open for use at all hours and a dog wash station.CONS:-Our biggest complaint has to deal with parking; I understand that it is now popular to charge tenants for a parking pass- we have a 1 bedroom and pay an extra $50 for my girlfriends parking pass because they only give one pass per bedroom. (other apartments in the area charge $75/pass) but we just found out that they charge you $5/night for a visitors pass if your guest stays overnight which I find to be ridiculous- especially since we are already paying for an extra pass. The visitor parking policy was not clearly explained to us when we signed the lease but that may have been because the apartment just recently opened. They said other apartment complex are charging up to 7 dollars, still this apartment complex can be better than the rest and not charge. I am positive all the residents will appreciate it.-Valet trash is an additional cost- also something that majority of apts are doing these days but I wish I could opt out and not pay for it- esp since my trash wasn’t picked up last night.-There is only one dog station and it is by the dog park; as dog friendly as they are I really feel like there should be a few stations around the complex. I have seen a lot of dog poop lying around the complex.-There are no corner mirrors in the parking garage and some tenants drive incredibly fast through the garage making it dangerous.Overall I think this complex is a nice place to live and I do like the area but there are definitely things than can be improved.
Friendly & helpful staff. Prime location. Complete transparency. I would recommend.
I had initially moved into the community last fall with my boyfriend after living in the SouthEnd area. I thought I would really miss it but Plaza Midwood has felt more like home! The other residents & staff are so friendly & we LOVE our apartment that’s on Central! (We just renewed for another year!)
Good, not great. Walls are thin and I can constantly hear the dogs from apartments around mine barking. The train is also extremely loud during all hours of the day and night if you live in a unit that runs along the tracks.
Great location & helpful staff! Loveee my new home! Fun resident events
Great building. Awesome amenities. Apartments are stylish and modern. My lease is up in May. I wish I could move in now!!
My vehicle has been towed twice since moving here last summer. Both times, my car has been in a designated parking area for my floor. They are understaffed on weekends and don’t expect help from the weekend staff. They let you know they can’t help you, only help for issues come from the daytime leasing officers. Managers are most unhelpful unless it’s around move in time. For the price of rent service is just terrible. Don’t move here unless you have money saved for random tow expenses.
Very friendly & helpful staff, even when I had dozens of questions. Great location & the amenities are key.
There are better places cheaper. My experience living here has not been awesome. Upon touring the facility I was promised so many great amenities, great staff, and the newest nicest building and unfortunately that isnt the case, at least consistently. SOME of my personal pain-points have been:AMENITIES: Was told a TAP ROOM was going to be in the front club room(which took 5 months to install the space but never any taps), The complimentary beverage station stopped being stocked the first month and finally residents told if we wanted coffee we had to bring our own cups. Printer is always missing ink and/or paper.DESIGN: The garage is too small and there are no corner mirrors so you can see if another vehicle is coming, The only drawers in my bathroom vanity were so to where you could only open if the bathroom door was closed. Really poor exhaust in the kitchen, so that even popping popcorn in an air popper would cause the smoke alarm to go off - every meal I cooked I had to open patio door and turn every ceiling fan on.NOISE: My unit was next door to the Thirsty Beaver. I was told I had extra sound proofing and pane windows - I dont think that was the case because the noise from bikes at 3 am was insanely loud however the worst part was the exhaust for the bathroom exited next to the bar so that if you sat in the bathroom you could hear conversations at the bar clear as day(i was on the 4th floor) - I never felt alone in my apt.STAFF: Having some of the office staff role their eyes at you when you ask a question is a frequent topic of convo among the residents. They also withhold really important information and then take zero responsibility when your left with the consequences.SAFETY: The unit across mine was rented out as an AIRBNB(By the company) so I always felt uneasy with new people being across the hall every day plus they were given access to residents SECURE PARKING which could probably be why cars get broken into and how my neighbors car was stolen.MY ADVICE There are nicer, cheaper places opening everyday in Charlotte. If your looking to join a community and feel valued, go elsewhere
Cons:Built around a noisy barPaper thin wallsDirty carpet in hall ways - (how is this when the building is new)Unsupportive Management - (rented sight unseen and rendering had two balconies but actual unit doesnt... they didnt care about this mistake which is the communities fault so Im stuck with a unit I dislike for 14 months)Parking is a bit of a nightmare...Pros:Maintenance team is very helpful and kind.LocationAge of communityThere are too many options in the same price point with better views, better amenities and a more accommodating management team. I viewed 5 apartment communities when I did have the availability to be in Charlotte during business hours & I regret I didnt go with another property. Greystar properties makes it easy for the application and approval process but once youre locked it, its pretty much a nightmare.
Why am I paying for trash pick up, when I have to call or email to have my trash picked up every time. It would be much more convenient if you just let me call at 4pm (when the leasing office is open), to have my trash picked up then. Its a complete inconvenience to have to personally manage and follow up on this process. If the manager cannot fix this problem, I will need to have this fee refunded. Or I should at least be able to get paid for my contribution to the work.Im just praying that when I wake up, my trash has been picked up.
The leasing process was very simple, the staff is fantastic & I love my apartment and the n’hood! 👍🏻
This community is esqusite!! I am getting ready to move in to my brand new apartment and even though construction has had delays, the office staff has handled everything and has left me stressful. Moving is a grueling process and again the office staff has been WONDERFUL! So excited to be apart of the Overton Row family!
Searching for a new apartment is such a pain, but the staff at Overton Row made it an easy decision! They answered all my questions (which I had a ton), showed me multiple units, constantly apologized for the changes that had to be made due to construction and never missed a beat.
Nice facilities and amenities! Staff is very friendly and made moving a seemless process
From the very moment I walked into Overton Row, there was an awesome “welcome to your new home, you already belong” embracing experience I received from Chloe Griffin. Chloe relaxed everything she was doing when I walked in (I did not prearrange a tour) as if she had been waiting for me to arrive. The first 10 minutes or so she spent getting to know me and assessing my residential needs. For me this was an instant love at first sight visit as I felt beyond valued and the experience and engagement was customized to meet my touring needs and expectations. Chloe was extremely down to earth and conversational as we went from space to space. She was thorough in her descriptions of each unit as we looked at several apartment homes, living spaces for all of the amenities the property has to offer, and she was an active listener throughout our entire time together which allowed for her to match me with the perfect design and floor plan. I’m currently a resident of Plaza Midwood (for 4 years now) and was extremely impressed by Chloe’s knowledge of the neighborhood. I am big on service, quality, modern and high end elements. I’ve lived in the urban Charlotte area for over 7 years now and I’m sharing with you that Overton Row is second to none in the entire Charlotte area, second to none. #yourewelcomenewresident #youcanthankmelater
Great location and amenities. Very helpful staff.
Previously under greystar property management with many complaints. Lincoln property management has taken over recently and revamped Overton with a positive vibe. Very friendly, competent, and professional staff.
Beautiful property with great amenities and amazing customer service from Chloe Griffin.
Its a safe, clean, and beautiful community.
