Pool permanently closed. Valet Trash does not come regularly and oftentimes trash will be left for days. Parking in my lot is hard to come by at night, generally all the spots are filled by 9pm. Front desk and maintenance staff are kind, I just wish more was being done to offer the amenities that were listed on website.

Management is great and easy process. Do wish that the apartment was fully renovated as told but wasn’t but overall that apartment does have issues with the socket in bathroom needs to be fix and my cable connector needs to be switch to spectrum so I can work from home. Still waiting on update

I moved in today to a 2 bedroom 1 bath and the place is lovely (see pics). Tatiana has been very professional, friendly & courteous throughout the whole process. I actually owed a previous landlord & Tatiana worked with me in getting my application approved. I have nothing but good things to say about Somerset or the management so far. I will provide updates as my lease progresses.

Ive been here since Jan 2021 & so far I havent had any major issues.

I can truly say the staff is incredible, since Ive been here they have went over and beyond for me at all times with No hesitations!!!! The reason I marked a 4 simply because we need more SECURITY OFFICERS out here around the clock or at least when I go to work at 5:30 a.m. This is a scary time for me.... Ive lived here for a year. I wrote a review months ago, and tbh it was pretty negative. However, I can say that the complex has made many improvements to the issues I disclosed in that review. The complex is much cleaner and broken items were easily communicated and solved. The office staff are easy to communicate with.

I’ve live in Somerset for 4 years now, and like with any relationship you have your ups and downs. But for the most part I enjoyed living here with my daughter. Management lately has been on point with keeping us updated on changes, having Community get together to talk about safety tips, and with taking care of maintenance problem In a timely manner. No where in the world is perfect but I have enjoyed living in Somerset.

I will be moving in on the 21st. I must say I was very impressed with the staff and how helpful Tatiana was with assisting with my questions and helping me understand the process. Im moving from PA so her service helped ease some of my stress. I had another approval from another place but the service Ive received already helped me make my decision. Thanks!

I have a friend who lived there recently before she left for Florida. The staff was great and her apartment was decked out

Dad place to move in, they always have new managers and they over charge you rent with fees that you dont even know. They want fees for everything and they you asked for someone to fix something they have weeks to go but rent cant be late because they will not accept the payment if you dont add the fee. Manager is rude and he dont know to talk with residents

I am so very pleased with these apartments and what I saw!!! Giovanna was the person who helped me (I hope i spelled that right).. she took me to view their model unit and it was beautiful, great decor, very beautiful apartment. I was in love! I will definitely be coming back and somerset is definitely #1 on my list. I hope she’s there when I come back!

Was considering applying but always do my research coming all the way from Jersey there to deal with roaches will need to keep searching. Any recommendation let me know hear the bugs there are huge!!! Also thanks for saving me money for the app fee.

I’ve had a good experience since moving in.. I needed a place convenient to school.. I worked with Cheryl and Tatiana, who have been very professional. I have an updated unit, new appliances, upgraded paint and hardwoods throughout. They seem to be the only ones I called, that made me feel comfortable asking general questions. The process was seamless and quick.

Ive lived in Somerset Apartments for 1year now I have a 2bdrm 1bth its very nice and cozy and spacious i love the interior and the fact that they have been renovating the outer area. The staff is helpful and sweet the office woman are great and very understanding. I actually just resigned my lease for another year

The leasing agent Candi is very courteous, professional, and really loves what she does. Also honorable mention to assistant manager Giovanna for her professionalism. The outlay of the apartments may not look impressive but the inside view was quite impressive. For those who like it quiet then you’re going to have to deal with the ongoing traffic from the interstate. But otherwise the apartments appeared ok. There is a pool onsite BUT it’s not in use and hasn’t been in a while. This amenity would be nice IF they took time to get it up to par. There is a pond directly behind the leasing office with swans where fishing is allowed; and a soccer park. Oh and it is also pet friendly with a fee and of course certain breed restrictions.

I have been living here since February 2017. The staff is okay but the actual service of the building sucks. I transferred into my new unit at the beginning of November (been here for about 2 weeks) and my toilet has stopped working three times. The toilet overflows and water comes out of the tub and gets all over the floor. Then the maintenance men take all day to come check it out. I can’t use my bathroom for the whole day being that here is only one (where else am I supposed to use the bathroom?). The staff is not very responsive when it comes to fixing things around your house. There are roaches. Even though I’ve been here for two weeks I have seen them a few times. And even at my old unit there were roaches everywhere. They are supposed to come and spray but they are right back by the end of the week. They give you a two day notice, if they are coming to spray but I have a job and a dog and I can’t just say, “oh I’m not coming in,” when I need to make money to pay bills. The pool has not been opened at all and when I moved in they said they open the pool every summer. Although the area where I am is pretty quiet, it is such an inconvenience living here because of all I have to put up with. Not really considering renewing my lease when the time comes. The people in the front office tell me two different things regarding my concerns and I’m really just tired of it.

The leasing manager and the assistant manager are just awesome. They worked with me and it was a smooth process. Don’t go by the old reviews because these ladies are just amazing.

ZERO STARSI called in and speak with the manager about in issue that they were sending me fees for having a pet that only was in my apartment for 4 hrs because my friend was at the hospital and all time I was talking to him he was ignoring me and I told him other people have big dogs living with them why you dont go and check on them and send fees too but he was like I dont care about that send me a picture if you want like if I have to do his job ...please people dont move to this place is the worst in north tryon and they dont care about us . Im going to move soon...and they never fixed nothing they take days to go see thats wrong

Straight to the point, my Husband lives here with his brother. Long story short, his car has been stolen before, we told the Office, and they told him that theyd be installing cameras...never did. Instead, we go outside and see all the lights turn on automatically, STILL NO CAMERAS. Not even 3 days ago, his brothers Moped got stolen. A MOPED, something that requires 3 people to carry. They NEED to STOP BEING CHEAP and think about peoples Property, Peace, and Safety!! Even one of their Maintanence Men had his phone stolen while on the job. I feel like this place is for a sit down, but DONT STAY. Until this place starts caring about people, all that you will see are cops always coming over for things being reported stolen. Leave NOTHING unchained/outside. #SorryNOTSorryP.S.- Cameras Matter in bad places!

Maintenance was good

My 1 bedroom is not bad. When I theory for maintenance they come, when I have concerns they adresd they. But the few repairs they have done without notifying the tenants has been a problem. A few we have been notified but I recieve an email about when repairs would began and I was woken up a day before with noise of repairs I wasnt informed about. My power went out 3 days in a row sure to repairs and recieve notice 10 mins before only 1 out of the 3 that took place. Consideration to let us know a day before so we can prepare for it. The neighborhood isnt to good but the staff is friendly.

If I could rate this place ZERO STARS then I would, When I first originally moved in it was on a Friday, I guess the ROACHES moved in with me also. the next day I called to the front office to complain about it Oh we will have someone come out and spray at the time my son was going on the age of 2. I couldnt even leave his food out to cool down with out coming back and seeing 4-5 roaches laying in the bowl. The air conditioner DOES NOT work at all, NEVER HAVE& NEVER WILL they always come and fix it and break down two days later. my Son has Asthma so that was always a problem being so hot in my apartment. PLUMBING F****ING SUCKS HERE ... You know how many times I had to go get a HOTEL because Im unable to take a SHOWER in the place I pay rent for because the bathtub is full FECES (gross right) and also my toilet. It came to the point where Maintenance KNOCKED a hole in my bathroom wall leaving that whole there for over 3 weeks, with TRASH AND DIRT all over my bathroom floor. Okay let me get started on this hole !!! So the hole was connected to my backside neighbor, if they showered water would be everywhere on my floor, if they pooped and flushed the toilet brown feces water would be all over my floor, It had my house smelling so awful like A SEWER . Now my bathroom walls are MOLDED and traveled to my son and myself closet and rooms. OMG IF I COULD UP LOAD PHOTOS I would . MOLD is so bad that it covered my son SHOES, TOYS, CLOTHES, EVEN MY CARPET .The office employees are RUDE how do you have a job in customer service and rude . Honestly if this place has more than 2 starts either the staff is doing it or there fake. WARNING DONT MOVE HERE HORRIBLE APARMENTS they need to KNOCK them all down its awful .. if I could upload photos I would if anyone would like photos please let me know please dont move here staffing is rude its sad you report your problem and they dont care at all .

Parking suck I’ve been stayin here for yrs and the pool open 1 day and been closed every since.( not that I would get in it)Instead of fixing a maintenance request they mass the problem. Residents don’t clean up behind there dogs. The communication is not there best.

I was going to give this place 4 star but then the manager showed up and ruined everything. I moved to Charlotte NC from El Paso TX.. Yes, a 23 hour drive. I had called Somerset to see if I could reserve an apartment which she replied you can only reserve in person which was fine I understand. She did put my name on the apartment which was great. I show up and give her all the paperwork she asked for including money orders for deposit and fees. She says she will run my credit and let me know. She calls 3 days later and says everything checks out and we are just waiting for the apartment to be cleaned. Ok, again no problem. Then I get a call to the office telling me I need to come in asap. Ok, weird Im wondering whats going on. I get there and the MANAGER with an attitude says we cant accept these as proof of payment. It was my post 9/11 GI bill which pays a housing allowance which alone pays more than double the rent they require. I also get money from the Army Reserves which I make 200 more than the rent in a single weekend. I have had no issues ever with getting an apartment before. After words were exchanged she wanted proof that all this money goes into my account. I bring her a bank statement which she told me it was fake! I pull it up on my phone and she says that could be anyones when my name was clearly on it. Why would you tell me to bring the crap in if you’re just going to say its fake!! So at this point it was clear she really didnt want to give me an apartment. The girl I spoke to on the phone kept apologizing for her manager which I just said its fine and not your fault my business will go elsewhere. Then I walked out. I walked back in and took my money orders which covered deposit and fees. Obviously she would have kept them had I not walked back in. I hope this review lets you know of the hassle that you may be getting yourself into. There are better apartments out there. STEAR CLEAR

WOW! Where should I start....Ive been living here since September of 2011. We moved here because at the time is was affordable and my sister was living here before us and we loved how nice and clean her apartment was. To our surprise the FIRST unit we moved into was on the 1st floor and infested with ROACHES and KNATS! I couldnt call the office because it was a Friday evening when we moved in and that Monday was a holiday -__- so we had to stay there for the weekend but I did call corporate office(TRICITY Rental back then) and left a message and by Tuesday/Wednesday we were called to the office to look at a different units. We EXAMINED about 5-6 units before we found one that didnt have dead roaches and spiders or wasnt outdated. This one was on the 2nd floor we had no problems what so ever LOVE IT! =D From there we moved into a 3bd for more space. By the time we moved old neighbors were complaining about rat infestation in those back apartments. Our first year in the 3bd we had broken drawers that maintenance supposedly fixed but to this day its still broken. Cracks running up the wall because of the foundation. We noticed roaches coming out when new people moved into the unit behind us; on top of that they smoked in the bathrooms and it was coming through the ventilators. Called the office about it and nothing was done. Theyre still smoking!Now the property has been sold/taken over by Monument Real Estate Services since May/June 2014 and they are just as bad! WARNING!!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT let the looks of the outside fool you!!! Just because they painted the buildings, re-did the pavement, added a SMALLER playground, and a new gate around the pool it does not mean that all these problem that we are having are not there!!! The outside may look good but once you are inside your stuck! I have been telling them about several problem since they took over and they have yet to fix anything!!! I have roaches coming out the dishwasher and they wont replace it! Yet they want us to renew our lease! HELL NO!!!!! All they care about is money!!! DO NOT COME HERE RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!!!

I would not send any one here. this do not make in since. we moved over here in 2010 stay here for a year everything was fine. move from over her due to a job change we moved back over here in 2011 every since our last landlord we love the best left all hell been braking lose. im use everyone pays there rent ect. but it makes no since we been here since 2011 till now its like rent always messing or not getting notice about anything, and stuff never getting fixed we been waitning on stuff to get fix since last august 2013 and nothing fixed. still got new owners cant call this home becasue its not. i pid my rent up for 2 months in may 2014 paid 772. then a week later they have to tell me i havent been paying for 5 to 6 months and or i have a balace due wich i know thats a lie i kept all my slips and all around last year they go tell me i havnt been paying for a year, what apartments is going to let you go a year or some months with out paying any rent. i feel like the are attacking alot of people.i notice last time i wne t to court it was at least 30 african amerincan and 2 spanish couple being put out because of miss pay rent or rent not beening paid. now its 2014 now i see a lot of people moving out i sit back and watch and i know the hole area of african americans are that hind on rent i understand times are hard but not when u half all of the black populations and a few spanish populations is leaving this apartments. i done email lawers and discrimination board about this i am also getting a hold of the news people and taking this far i had to come out of m pockets 4 times due to them miss placing rent and or what ever they call them selfs doing in the office or main office. i work to hard to be lie to or having anything stolen from me and my family.
