I have lived at Spectrum South End Apartments now for over three years and recently resigned my lease for a fourth year. I can honestly say as far as apartment living goes, it doesn’t get much better than this place! I absolutely love it here. The location is easily on of the best in South End and for the price, it’s hard to beat! The staff has always been so accommodating and friendly! Nicole, who is the property/community manager, is amazing and is so quick to assist with any issues you might encounter with apartment living. The pools and gym are clean and not overcrowded. The dog park and large fenced-in areas make this place super dog friendly for all types of pups! If you’re on the fence about living here, I would say- don’t be! I’m calling this place home until I get my own house, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my time here!

Spectrum South End is a great place to live. Me and my significant other just moved here. Stacy, our leasing consultant, made the transition as smooth as possible for us. She’s been fantastic to work with as she always replied to us in a timely manner and made sure we had all the information we needed up to move in day. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking to move to this apartment complex in south end. The apartments themselves are very nice and spacious. The amenities such as the dog park are great especially for our pups to play in and socialize with other dogs. The service from the team at Spectrum South End is superb and the complex itself is excellent.

The staff is friendly and truly willing to help! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a smooth transition when we moved in. The overall energy is great - I am new to the Charlotte area so it made me feel very welcomed. The maintenance managers are excellent, too! They came right away when we had requests and were really nice. Spectrum is beautiful...the apartment was spotless when we came. The gym is great and they take excellent care of the rest of the areas of the complex. Cant wait to go swimming and grill when the weather permits! :) So happy to be living here.

I lived at Spectrum for nearly 3 years and just moved out recently. Its hard to beat the location and the price. The office staff is SO helpful and responsive. The maintenance staff responds to requests quickly and are always friendly. The amenities are great (Two pools!). I moved because wanted something a little quieter, despite loving everything else. If you dont mind some noise on the weekend (97% of the time it was reasonable weekend noise and the office ALWAYS responded to any noise complaint), youll find a great home here. The main negative for me was that I could hear everything from the apartments above/next to me (its an older building or maybe just luck of the draw). Other than that Spectrum was a really great place to live for 3 years!

I have been in Spectrum for 2 months now and it has been so easy to transition and call this place home! The community is awesome (even in the middle of a pandemic), the residents are kind, and the location is unbeatable. Nicole was on top of it from the moment I inquired about Spectrum and made the move-in process absolutely seamless, and has even followed up often to make sure things are still going well. It’s definitely nice to have office staff that knows their residents by name and want to be involved! We are so happy to be here!

I have lived at Spectrum for 6 years now and absolutely love it. It is conveniently located in the fastest growing ZIP Code of Charlotte called “South End” and the South End Neighborhood is thriving in growth, opportunities, and great things to do!When it comes to my apartment compared to what is built around the neighborhood, you get more square footage for the cost here at Spectrum. Maintenance does an amazing job in responding quickly to maintenance request and the front desk is always very helpful and welcoming.Then there is El who keeps our community areas clean and always so kind. Anytime I see El she stops what she’s doing to talk and catch up on life. She has a big job in keeping everything clean, but she always does it with a smile on her face. I truly enjoy living here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home.

My husband and I have lived at Spectrum South End Apartments for nearly two years now and have had an amazing experience living there. Not only do they have wonderful apartments and amenities, but it is also located in one of the absolute best spots right on the light rail. Perfect walking distance to all the awesome restuarants, bars, and breweries in Charlotte! What really made our experience phenomenal was upon moving out due to purchasing a home. While most apartments try to charge you as much as possible to break the lease, Kate THE GREAT helped us more than I couldve ever asked for, saving us nearly $2,000! It was truly incredible and such an act of kindness. We are totally blown away by this level of service and would recommend Spectrum South End Apartments to anyone. THANK YOU!!!

We’ve lived here for about 2.5 years now and we’ve loved it! You can’t beat the location and the staff is great. The community manager Nicole has always been so accommodating and responsive whenever we need help, especially when we were searching to move units within Spectrum that had the amenities we were looking for. The maintenance staff is so friendly and we’ve never had to wait long for any issues. Living in spectrum south end has been wonderful!

Spectrum is a great location and perfectly centered in the heart of Southend right on the rail trail. Whenever I’ve ever had a question or needed help with anything Nicole in the leasing office has always been more than willing to help and go above and beyond! A few of my favorite things about the community are that there are two pools and there is plenty of parking with visitor parking too. These amenities make it stand out when compared to other complexes!

I recently moved into Spectrum and only have pleasant things to say about the building and experience. The apartment is spacious for the price and in a great location. The original apartment my roommate and I toured ended up being taken but Shakira and Stacey were so helpful in finding another one. Every time, I have a question Kate, Nicole, and the whole team are there. Thanks for such an easy move in process!

So I haven’t moved in to Spectrum South End yet but so far, the process of moving here has been awesome. Stacey C. has been such a huge help! I’ve had about a million questions and she has answered each and every one of them in a timely manner and with details as well as patience. Stacey is definitely the nicest leasing consultant I’ve ever encountered! The amenities at this place are also awesome! Especially the gym, pools, and dog parks. It’s super close to the light rail and within walking distance from great restaurants and bars!

Good value for south end apartment. Great location with bigger apartments since the building is a bit older. This is a good place to live but do not live in an apartment that faces the pet park. Barking and yelling at 1am from people who treat the dog park as a bar, and then more barking from the early morning crowd to wake you up at 7am. I would recommend living here to friends but do NOT sign a lease for a unit that faces the dog park

This review is going off my experience with the application/move-in process. I am a new resident and I already am in love with what they have to offer! Shakira is amazing and answered any question and concern my roommate and I had. The application process was extremely easy. Also, the building is so beautiful!

I have lived at Spectrum South End for almost 3 years and have loved every minute calling Spectrum my home. Nicole and her staff makes sure communication is clear, the complex is clean and safe and maintenance is completed in a timely manner. After living in some challenging apartment complexes (not in Charlotte), it is such a relief to know I am living in a safe, supportive, clean environment upheld by the staff of Spectrum South End.

Every apartment complex will have its flaws but at the end of the day I really enjoyed my time at Spectrum. The rent is fair for the area, the location is hard to beat and Kate in the front office was always there to help me out with a smile. Living at Spectrum SE Apartments was great! Every single staff member is amazing, they go above and beyond for anything you need.Unfortunately, I had to move out earlier than I planned due to a lack of income from COVID-19, but I wish I was still there. I wouldve renewed my lease time and time again if it wasnt for the pandemic. I suggest Spectrum to anyone I know who is looking for a place to live because of the amenities, the South End location and the friendliness of the community. 😊

I lived here for a few years now and this place rocks! The people are friendly, it’s always clean, the amenities are unmatched, I mean a hot tub!! Doesn’t get much better then that. The complex takes the personality of the office, Nicole and Kate are superstars! They keep a tight ship and have fun doing it, they help in a timely manner with all inquiries, and they make you laugh too! 10/10 spectrum is awesome!

Finding a place to live after graduation in the middle of a pandemic was for sure a stressful time. I was unable to physically tour any of the apartments in the Charlotte area but when it came to looking at Spectrum, Nicole could not have been more helpful. She sent me full length videos, photos of every corner I asked for, and even dimensions of all of the walls! She really made it feel like I was able to have that in person tour and was so responsive to all of my calls and emails. Nicole was so friendly and warm and made me so excited to move into this amazing community I now call home! I’ve been in Spectrum for 5 months now and am more than pleased with my living situation. Everybody who works here is so caring and I’ve made so many friends in the building as well. Definitely a great and affordable place to live right in South End!

Moved here over back in July 2020. Staff is super friendly and in a great location. It can be noisy at times, but that’s anticipated with the South End neighborhood. Having a great time thus far!

I moved to Spectrum South End (and Charlotte) in May 2020 and didnt have the opportunity to have an in-person tour of the community because of COVID. I had never been to Charlotte before so all of my apartment hunting was done virtually. Needless to say, I couldnt have picked a better spot to call home and I would highly recommend Spectrum South End to anyone relocating to Charlotte/South End.The location is great, amenities are fantastic and the people are amazing. All of the office staff and leasing specialists are always super helpful. Dan and his maintenance team are always responsive and very visible within the building.

I’ve liveD at spectrum over 2 years and has been a great experience. Maintenance required is minimal, and when needed, is prompt. The apt size for the price is great for southend. Additionally the office staff is incredible. Nicole always is fast to respond to emails and goes the extra mile for anything asked of her. There are a couple others I can’t remember their names, but also very helpful. Also tons of parking and guest parking which is a huge bonus! 5/5 would recommend.

We are moving into Spectrum South End in about a week, and the management team has been the best out of all of the apartments we visited. Shakira was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable and thorough in answering all of our questions. They have communicated with us well through the application process and we are excited about living there!

Words can’t even begin to describe my experience living at Spectrum South End. I was new to Charlotte a little over two years ago and didn’t know much about the best area to live in and definitely not the best apartment. I can easily say, since I chose Spectrum in 2018, that I hit the jackpot here!!!; so much so that my roommate and I just renewed our second time. Why 3 years in a row, you ask? Well it starts with the service. Our property manager, Nicole Hamber, is the epitome of professionalism mixed with unmatched care for all of Spectrum’s residents. She has helped me on countless occasions ranging from accidentally leaving my keys in my mailbox (whoops) to letting me know personally that a package was left at the front desk for me before the office closed for the day. Despite being in quarantine, Spectrum South End still provides adequate access to its amenities such as the gym, pool, and grilling areas in a safe, socially distanced way; not to mention, as residents, Spectrum keeps us entertained with regular food trucks and mobile coffee shops! Overall, I’d recommend Spectrum South End to anyone looking to be in the heart of entertainment and fun in Charlotte’s most vibrant neighborhood but also may be looking for an excellent apartment to return to after retiring from a long workday or a fun-filled weekend!

I have been living in Spectrum South End for a few months now, and I wouldnt change my choice in the slightest. I had the opportunity to work with Shakira, a few times now, and she is amazing!! The amenities are absolutely amazing, and even with COVID, they have made an effort to ensure we are still able to use them as much as possible. I personally chose this apartment for the dog park, and it does not disappoint!! My dog loves it, and I personally have met some wonderful people there! Which is the whole reason I moved to South End!! Thanks for everything so far Spectrum!

We have lived here for a while now. Overall we are happy. Even though it is older than others in the area, you get the most square footage for your money. At this stage in life, we would rather have room to move around over a fancy backsplash. One thing that is above and beyond though is the maintenance man, Dan. Obviously apartments are going to have things break or go wrong, but Dan is always to the rescue and so personable. Plus, he always explains what was wrong and doesnt talk down.

I really like living in Spectrum Southend apartments. I have been here for over a year. I feel like the community is great, especially if you have any issues about anything I can just go to Nicole, as well as Kate. They really make me feel like family/friends. They know their residents well and make sure to make us as happy as can be. The best thing about this apartment is being walking distance to so many places as well as an overall community taking the time to get to know us! As well as appreciate their residents! I recently moved into Spectrum South End in Charlotte, NC from Chicago. Spectrum had great virtual tours and easy access to detailed photos and floorplans online, which made the move easier as I was not able to tour in person. Shakira was extremely helpful, answered all my questions right away, and made the transition to living here simple and straightforward. The place is conveniently located in South End within walking distance to many great bars and restaurants, and the facilities are very clean and modern. The daily free coffee available is a major plus!

I recently moved here from New Hampshire without ever visiting Charlotte. The Spectrum South End staff made my decision very easy. They gave me several virtual tours and found the exact apartment I wanted based on my criteria. Shakira helped me through the leasing process and was super responsive to all my emails and requests. The leasing staff are always very welcoming and happy to see us whenever we’re in the main lobby area. Stacey and Shakira always encourage my girlfriend and I to join community events. Recently we carved pumpkins for Halloween and showed them off on our balcony! When we first got into the city we borrowed the free bicycles and cruised around for a few hours. Being new to the Charlotte area hasn’t been hard because of the Spectrum South End staff and the great location! Thanks team!

The location is excellent, and probably the best price per sqft in South End. I ended up renewing my lease for another year in 2020.

As a resident since 2012, I can absolutely ensure you that this apartment complex is a truly wonderful place to live! From the numerous amenities including two pools, upgraded gym, grilling courtyard with firepit, dog park, etc. to the welcoming community and beyond friendly leasing office – what’s not to love! It’s located right in the middle of vibrant South End that is constantly growing with so many activities just within an arm’s reach. Who wouldn’t enjoy having a top sushi restaurant and one of the biggest Charlotte breweries next door?Besides from the location and ability to walk to a plethora of bars, restaurants, shopping & grocery stores – Spectrum South End offers excellent quality apartments. Unlike the newer apartment complexes being built, these apartments are sturdy and made to last – trust me, I would know! They use quality materials that make the apartments look and feel sophisticated & homey at the same time. They encompass huge bedrooms and even bigger walk-in closets. Plus, I can hardly ever hear my neighbors, which is worth it’s weight in gold to any apartment resident!Although I absolutely love, love, love the amenities, the location & my apartment – my favorite aspect of living at Spectrum South End is the incredible team they have on-site. Nicole, the Community Manager, is unbelievably kind, super engaged with her residents and always responsive. She has helped me out tremendously in many circumstances and I honestly cannot thank her enough! Kate, the Assistant Community Manager, is also a huge contributor towards making this community so great. She goes above & beyond to ensure you are taken care of properly and always with a smile! The entire leasing team does an incredible job communicating with its residents regarding community events, community discounts at local establishments, important reminders, what food trucks will be on-site, community contests, etc., which is extremely helpful to all the residents. They truly actually care, which makes a significant difference in my book! Lastly, Steve, part of the Maintenance Team, has saved me multiple times from simple issues like light bulb replacements to emergency clothes washer issues right before I had to leave out of town. Things have a funny way of breaking at the absolute wrong times, right? He showed up right away to fix the issue within hours. He’s extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help! Thank you all for your assistance throughout these years!All in all, if you’re looking for a place that has charm, an incredible community, close to many activities Charlotte has to offer - this is the place! I’ve stayed at this property for the past 7 years, and apparently I love it! The neighbors and upkeep of the property is phenomenal. The maintenance team is super QUICK with request as well. One of the reasons I’ve stayed at the property for years is due to the customer service of the property management/manager. Nicole Hamber is the absolutel BEST property manager hands down. She’s very responsive to issues, knows her residents by their names, super FRIENDLY, and overall a great manager. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this property!

Nicole has been so helpful! We love how close we are to everything in Southend. The apartments are right on the light rail trail! It is definitely so affordable for where it is located.

Spectrum Southend Apartments served as my home away from home for the last 3.5 years. I lived in 2 different apartments on 2 different floors. I wanted my last year to have the outside access to a patio, which served its purpose to face the famous, rail trail and to be able to allow my dog access to view the others down below, in the dog park! I felt safe, loved the amenities and I could walk to mostly anything and everything. Nicole, the property manager, and her team, really answered proptly to emails/messages along with the maintenance crew that were always friendly faces around the property and hallways. Despite the occasional Duke energy outages in the middle of the day and possibly some loud neighbors (which you have in every apartment complex), it was a great 3.5 years. Thanks to the Spectrum team for making it home and for always helping!

Spectrum South End has been a great living experience for my fiancée and I, as we’ve genuinely found a place that feels like a home amidst all the cookie cutter apartment buildings. We’ve made friends here that we will carry with us forever, and have had some truly special moments here. Management in particular has played a big role in that, as you can reach Nicole, or Kate, or maintenance, at any hour of the day and receive quick, timely and helpful responses, no matter the issue. From a neighbor’s apartment flooding and ruining a carpet, to smoke detectors shorting out at 12am, Spectrum’s people are always quick to help and happy to do it!I also have to give a big shout out to Dan Thebeau and the entire maintenance team, as they have been so patient, helpful and friendly with our weird schedules and constant requests! Dan worked tirelessly to make sure we got a request fixed after multiple days of having to reschedule and ask him to come back at another time, and every time came with a smile on his face! Just a testament to the workers here valuing the residents.

For the Past 2 years I lived at Spectrum southend and I’m very happy that I picked this place to live at. Not only is the location perfect but One of the main reasons I picked spectrum is because of the amazing staff! Since the first day of me asking for quotes and getting tours I felt very welcomed. Never had any issues while my time at spectrum and if I had any questions Nicole Hamber was super quick to respond. I recommend Spectrum Southend to anybody that that is thinking of moving to the area.

Entering into my fourth lease at Spectrum. The management team, and Kate Reiff specifically have been so easy to work with and do everything in their power to assist residents and make living here enjoyable. As long as I’m renting in Charlotte I’ll be at Spectrum.

We loved everything about living at Spectrum! The location was amazing, the complex was always clean, and the amenities were lovely. We felt that the price was very reasonable considering all the benefits. The office staff were always very professional and responsive. We had one issue with our air conditioning going out several times (it ended up being a broken part that needed to be replaced) and the staff were very professional and polite, even when I was rude to them on one occasion out of frustration. Maintenance responded very promptly and I actually called the office to apologize for the way I acted.We only left Spectrum due to moving out of state. If we were to move back to the area, I would go straight back to Spectrum with no hesitation!

Loved my time at Spectrum!! Enjoy the area in south end and greatly appreciate how responsive, helpful, and caring the staff was (Kate and Nicole, specifically!). Bell partners living has been great so far. Would recommend.

My experience touring Spectrum was so amazing thanks to the sweetest leasing consultant, Shakira Baker! She answered all my emails promptly, showed me a beautiful unit, and toured with my roommate later in the week when she had time. Although we didnt sign a lease at this time, we are looking to sign sometime in the coming months and Shakira offered to keep tabs on 2-bedroom units for us because she knows exactly what we are looking for. I cant wait to actually sign a lease and move here! Location is awesome and the units are spacious and affordable for the area. Thanks so much Shakira!!!

I lived in Southend Apartments at 2225 Hawkins Street Charlotte, NC for 5 1/2 years until I moved in June 2019. About half way through my tenure there was a change in management which also brought Nicole Hamber into our community. It wasn’t until the management change occurred did I realized just how underserved we were as a community in both maintenance and timely response to service calls as well as creating an engaging and inclusive environment and social networking activities. Nicole always greeted you with a smile and upbeat tone and often by name. She always made sure things ran smoothly as possible, was knowledgeable and well versed in the rules and regulations and upheld them with a stern but compassionate demeanor. Nicole was extremely helpful to me personally during the period when I lost my job and was stressed about having to leave my wonderful apartment. Nicole was so sympathetic, kind and comforting to me with how she took the time on several occasions to explain and present options to best help me navigate keeping my home and finding a peace of mind until I finally had to move to take a job out of state. Even after having been gone for almost a year now, Nicole continues to periodically reach out to check in on me and see how I am doing. That type of concern and consideration for others comes from a deep place within of a genuine respect, love and nurturing spirit of others. SouthEnd apartments was a great living space physically. But, Nicole Hamber’s presence made it an AMAZING living experience. She is the face of SouthEnd apartments for me. When I moved I was deeply saddened to be leaving the best apartment I had ever had. But I was equally if not more so sad to be leaving THE BEST property manager I have ever met. Nicole Hamber made me feel like that was home with a family feel. Only a special person can create a special vibe and space like that I enjoyed during my time in SouthEnd. She’s a star 5 times over.Sincerely,Eric C.

Spectrum South End has easily been the best renting experience I have ever had. The apartments themselves are laid out really nicely and reasonably priced for being in the heart of it all. Its convenient to the light rail, the highway, and countless dining and shopping options. The office has been nothing but kind to me and has helped me with every issue I had (which wasfew and far between!). Parking was easy and the guest parking was very generous, which is not common in the area. I would give more stars, if I could!!

I really enjoy living at Spectrum South End. Kathlyn Reiff and other staff members always answer the phone ready to help. I believe they go above and beyond to make sure the residents feel at home.

Living at Spectrum was probably the best experience I could’ve asked for in my first year of being in Charlotte. The apartment was the perfect size, location was hard to beat, and the competitive rent pricing was a very attractive draw for us. Possibly one of my favorite parts was the more-than-friendly staff. Specifically, Nicole Hamber and Kate Reiff were extremely helpful to us before, during, and AFTER our time at Spectrum. From helping us find the perfect room & lease agreement to navigating the day-to-day, our Spectrum experience would not look the same without these two being an incredible part of it. In fact, if the room situation worked out, we would still be living there now. Only positive things to say about our experience!

As a resident of the Spectrum SouthEnd Apartments since 2012 I must say Ive really enjoyed calling this sweet address home!From the warm reception & excellent service Ive received from the front office (namely Nicole & Kate — a pair of rock stars they are!) as well as the professional attn: to details the maintenance staff provides (namely Dan & Steve who are always eager to help out with any issues.) I also want to mention the always smiling Elvira who manages to keep all 4 floors of the building looking pristine!The dog park here has certainly been one of the highlights for me. Nicely maintained & looked after by the Spectrum SouthEnd crew.The fitness center here has some state of the art equipment & is always looking freshly maintained & in order.If you want to be in the center of all of the action in the Historic SouthEnd of Charlotte look no further than the Spectrum SouthEnd Apartments.Cheers,One Happy Camper

I love it here... my maintenance request is handled within 24 hours and the office staff is nice. Hallways are always clean and my apartment is my own oasis... The best part of living here is the area. Southend is awesome and everything is close.

This is by far the best value in South End! I sadly just moved out of spectrum because I moved out of state, but lived there for about 1.5 years. Some of the things I loved:- The management team/leasing team was great! Kathlyn and Nicole were amazing. They were so pleasant and helpful throughout my time living there. Kathlyn was always very responsive to emails and always made sure any concerns were addressed.- The Maintanence staff was the best. Steve, Dan and Elvira were on top of it! Anytime there was a problem they would fix it within the day it was reported, sometimes within the hour. One of the best Maintanence teams. They were very sweet too when I saw them around the building.- Amenities are great for the price and the area. I loved the pools and the hot tub. The gym was nice and the equipment seemed pretty new. My favorite part was the dog park. It was great for the dogs and a nice place to mingle with neighbors while the dogs played.- Location, location, location!! The location can’t be beat for the price! It’s right in the middle of everything in South EndThe building has a pretty young, vibrant feel. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I moved into Spectrum South End just a few weeks ago but so far it has been a very good experience. All of the staff have been friendly and easy to work with, and Shakira in particular has been great since the leasing/touring process and continues to be responsive and helpful whenever anything arises.

My experience at Spectrum has been spectacular. Having lived in many many apartments, Spectrum is the one apartment that I planned on renewing just months into my lease. Though the location is great, and my apartment unit and amenities are superb, the hidden gem of Spectrum is the property management team! They are so very helpful and prompt with any questions or concerns you may have. They constantly keep residents informed about fun events going on at Spectrum and throughout the city. I’d highly recommend this as a place for anyone to stay in Charlotte—that’s why my roommate and I didn’t think twice about renewing!
