I had a great experience! I was in an urgent situation and the staff was able to work with me and they did what they could do to get me moved in asap. It was a different process than any other apartment that I had lived in, but I realize that when you are in an Income Based community the rules are different and the standards are actually set higher! Ms. Eugenia and Ashley were both great I called them multiple times day after day to check for availabilities and they never got frustrated with me they just updated as to where I was on the list. Fast forward Ive been here two months and I still love my new home. Everything is nice and fully upgraded, high ceilings, very spacious; I love it! Thank you ladies for all you do.
Was told I was denied…I requested more info…was given a number to call…called the number and requested a hard copy of what they found…the information was incorrect so I called Evoke back to inform them…whomever I spoke to basically said “oh well we can’t do anything about that try to reapply In 6 months…” why would I do that? Why?! Thank goodness I have been approved elsewhere. Also, her lack of customer service caused me to do this review!
I spoke with the manager here and she is clearly about her business and passionate while doing so.The conversation alone with all my inquires was a step above any other,in person/phone experience during my process of seeking residency.A step above the rest...

I do not recommend this place. Solely for the poor communication from the staff at the office and the management company. I reached out to the regional manager after not hearing back regarding my application after 3 weeks and never received a phone call. I reached out again, left a message and still nothing. If this is the expecting set before moving in, imagine what it’s life if you live there. It’s not worth it. Don’t waste you time. Very poor communication and lack of urgency or ethics from this company.
I love it here this is my first ever apartment and they made sure to help me thru the entire process ms Eugina never gave up on me and made sure she got me in my son in a apartment im on the third floor and all though its alot of stairs lol it was worth the walk because it is beautiful and full of space thank you so much
I was excited at first and was informed of an approval from Eugenia. This process is a disappointment and a waste of time. I was informed that move ins would start September, then it was October then it was November then it was January 2021 for 3 bedrooms. I have not heard anything from this property. I finally called today and was informed there is no availability and my application was waitlisted. I was one of the first five people to put in an application for this property as well as meet with Eugenia and complete all paperwork and documents needed. Communication sucks and I wish I could give negative stars! Now I am stuck having to find somewhere to go ASAP!

THe customer service is poor the young lady Gina, has a very nast attitude, not very friendly and rushes people off of the phone due to her hAVING WORK TO DO! i WILL NOT RENT FROM A PLACE WHERE MY INITIAL CONTACT IS VERY UNPLEASANT IDC HOW NICE IT MAY BE. RETRAIN YOUR STAFF OR GET PROFESSIONAL STAFF IN PLACE!
I received a phone call in October stating that things were going to be going to the next level, or i assumed, sent an email and have yet to hear anything else. So you all that are wondering dont feel too bad, there are alot of us that are just waiting and hoping I guess. But to the one and only person that has a left a review, saying she has her keys. They are very misleading for them to just be opening this complex. Not only are they taking applications they are months behind on the people that have already applied and not just that there not telling you when you apply. Theres has never been a moment in my life where it has taken a company more then3days to process your application but for them Ive already been wanting for months which is unacceptable. Someone needs to come save this community before it goes down just due to lack of customer service and honesty

First I want to say I was so excited waiting for the community to be developed. I live close in the area and for months would call to receive information inquiring about the units, availability, pricing, etc. All leasing consultants have been unprofessional, careless, aggressive tones via phone, and simply unhelpful every time I have called or physically came to the property to see if I could receive any information.I applied sometime in November and it is now middle of December & I was told by leasing via phone today that they couldnt find my paper application that I dropped in the rent/ drop box per their directions (with all of my personal/sensitive information).After doing research on the reviews and evoke livings website I read that this community does have accomendating & financially reasonable rental rates, however that doesnt mean that the customer service, community staff, etc has to reflect that with unprofessionalism, and terrible customer service.The sad part is all I wanted to know if I was approved or qualified for a unit. I was assured I would receive a call back which I didnt.I have leasing experience and have worked for Greystar -an luxury rental property company and not once was it ever acceptable to:-blatantly ignore customers/ prospects at the door instead of acknowledging them (6ft for covid measures or provide up to date protocols on website or in the windows of the leasing office if youll werent going to be answering the door.)-have prospects/ customers having to call 10+ times just to get an answer which will 9/10 be unhelpful in regarding information.-lose an applicants application containing sensitive information + money order & not providing any resolve.-answer the phone, and giving excuses as to why you dont have time to assist a prospect via phone because your currently dealing with move-ins, and a thousand other things in the day to day with being a leasing agent. I literally was told honey, right now I dont have time I have move ins that I have to deal with, your gonna have to call back another timeregardless of how busy you are there is a way to say & communicate things, even if ....there seems to be no structure in this office, no sense of organization, directions, or actual office management. If I had invested my money into this property I would be very upset and disappointed in how its being ran.It may not do any justice or anything but I will be contacting management and or the headquarters of S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. to see their thoughts on how the team theyve selected are running that office.

I see you alls reviews and I’m wondering how did you even speak to someone bc I’ve been trying for weeks to get someone on the phone or to email me back I have yet to get a response. I left multiple voicemails as well .. I don’t want to submit application until I actually speak with someone
I am happy to see that the people of Charlotte who may otherwise be considered underprivileged and underserved are finally being looked at and recognized as needing decent liveable housing. I am so tired of seeing all of these mega complexes going up, serving ultra high rents to the other side so that they can come into Charlotte and take over! Only to leave us living in filth and trash and unkept areas - were always the forgotten people - except when it comes time for the elections! It is about time that we stand up and say no more! We deserve to live in a clean habitable environment - even if we do not have those ultra high paying jobs. Everyone in that area needs to stand up and show out in a good way and help others that need assistance.I hope and pray that we dont turn this bad!

Ms.Gina was wonderful to work with from the beginning ALLLLL the way to the end!!! From the encounters we’ve had she’s such a GREAT person. We handled business, laugh, talked, and shedded a tear or two.****UPDATE**** I paid my deposit back in August. WAS TOLD MOVE IN DATE WAS NOVEMBER 10th.. not tentative or anything just November 10th.. that changed to November 15th.... Then November 23rd..... and Now December 1st which does not sound too promising. I hired movers. I’m packed up living out of boxes despite the holidays. And still no keys. My review doesn’t change at ALL about Ms. Gina so I’ll leave 3 stars...but I could’ve been doing other things. A BIG INCONVENIENCE!!! Once everything is official I’ll change update again..*Update*12/15/20 FINALLY GOT MY KEYS!!!! Thank you Ms Eugenia!!!!
I applied online the end of August. 2 weeks later I was told that I was accepted, by MAIL beginning of September. Letter stating to come to Hotel to meet and go over things on application that I overlooked and left out and bring any paperwork that was needed per my situation. This took the entire month of September and some of October. Evoke was still being built by the way. End of October we were finally done. Got my move in date. Yaay! Move in date changed due to the City. Ok. Finally moved in, in December. 5 months and Im home!!! Ms. Hinkle went above and beyond helping me with the application process. She is only 1 person. Human. SHE was attentive and patient. I was one of the 1st to apply back in the Summer. No complaints here. Thank you!!
This place is very unprofessionalI went there today to turn in a application for an apartment.humans were in the office no one came to my assistants for a whole hour. I been in customer service since 1991 never treated any one that way.they all need training Im 56 yrs never experienced anything like this. That type of business is not for whoever works in the office shamful shamful

I did a online application with a online reservation created a account. STILL have yet to receive a phone call or my money back. The account was created back in October of this year. When trying to access it recently it said application not enabled.
I had to change my review. Don’t review until you have your keys.
