In my time here (8 months), I dealt with three different managers, as they kept quitting. At one point, the on-staff maintenance quit, and all maintenance requests went unanswered. I went 6 days without air conditioning in July, and 2 months with a sink that leaked so badly, I couldnt use it. I had so many insects because we kept getting emails saying pest control had been canceled for the month (didnt stop them from charging me for it). Also, my unit had severe foundation issues - HUGE cracks appeared in the walls, and all my doors became stuck and/or wouldnt close, and one of my deadbolts no longer locked. The shifting foundation also caused my freezer to pop open while I was away one weekend, ruining everything inside. After 6 months of calls/complaints, the property manager (#2 of 3) agreed via phone call to let me out of my lease after 8 months rather than 12, with no penalty. I asked him for email verification, which turned out to be key, because by move-out week, management had changed again and they had no record of it. I seemingly got it straightened out, but when I went to turn my keys in the week of my move-out date, they had no record of it - NOR could they find any record of me at all in their system.I asked for a final invoice for my last month there (11 days) and was assured I would get one that week. It ended up taking three months (with weekly calls to management from me) for them to finally send me a final invoice (and, of course, I still somehow owed $600+ for 11 prorated days). The newest management claimed to be cleaning up the previous managements mess but in my experience, they were just as careless and disorganized as their predecessors.0/10 would NEVER recommend.
I moved to Austin and wanted something close to my job, as I wasnt sure Id be working in the office. I loved the layout of the space. These are older apartments, so some wear and tear was to be expected but the property is poorly maintained. I never even felt comfortable taking baths in the tub in my unit and always opted for showers. The leasing office is also very unresponsive. Ive had my AC go out multiple times, and during the freeze we were the first to lose power and the last to get it back on. You have to call multiple times, leave voicemail, I even find myself having to email when I want things done just so I have a paper trail. The leasing office definitely used COVID as an excuse to not be available and thats honestly sad. I never received a working key for my garage entry and one day locked myself out, but due to it being a weekend I had to come out of pocket for the locksmith even though my (Caucasian - if that matters) neighbor asked the office about the situation and they told her Id be reimbursed. I personally asked and was not accommodated. Ive had to request pest control for a scorpion and tarantula. Theres nice natural light, but I wouldnt recommend staying here unless youre prepared to fend for yourself. Basically no amenities. They really should do better.
Today, I showed up to this apartment complex as code compliance was leaving.Apparently, there have been issues that tenants have been having, so much so, they had to call code compliance themselves to have them take pictures and force the management to get it taken care of. I recognize that this could have been a fluke, so I waited patiently. When I asked about the office member I was supposed to check in with, this woman responded “oh, that’s me!” Okay, cool. This office member turned out to be incredibly unhelpful. She told me I was going on a “self guided tour” (which I was completely fine with) but I was touring a 2bedroom/ 2 bathroom. I asked if there was any way she could show or describe to me the size difference a one bedroom would be like. Not only was she unable to articulate this, she was also unable to show me (do we not have a blueprint of the measurements???)These apartments are old. For this area, I would honestly expect way more. When I walked into this 2/2, it felt like maintenance had just left. There were boxes scattered in the kitchen. The oven hadn’t been cleaned (there was white specks of paint all over it), there was an empty toilet paper roll and wrapper in the closet.I’ve never been to a complex that showed less care than this one.The office member told me that people rent here without looking at them. I think because of the area, people assume they will have a wonderful experience.I wasn’t even acknowledged when I came back inside to grab my license.Running as far away from this apartment complex as I can. I suggest you do the same.
This complex looks wonderful from the outside but after you put your application in things will change. I was lucky enough to stop and see the red flags. The first flag was the security deposit which is still listed on their website as $100 -150 on certain units. When my agent went to look at the property for me she was told $200 was the standard deposit. She said it was an error on the website and was getting it fixed. Everything seemed to add up so I put my application in and the next morning I was told I was approved and the lease would be sent along with a breakdown of everything from Matt the assistant manager that day. I had to email them to get the lease since they never sent it.When I got my lease the deposit was 300 and there was a utility connection charge. Which my agent and I were not told about. When we asked Matt he made it seem like it’s a fee that would be charged if we turn the utilities off early. He said he would change the lease when asked. That was never done so I never signed the lease. He seemed like he did not know what he was doing at all. A few days later, they sent a welcome letter with nothing changed on it. I didn’t feel confident signing a lease since they couldn’t even get that right. What would happen if something actually broke in the unit?I asked for my app fee back since they falsely advertised about the security deposit and were told something else by the agent working in the office. I figured I would not see the app fees back but I figured I would give the complex a chance to make it right and they chose not to. Matt called me after we requested to cancel it and was incredibly rude and said he was going to cancel the app. When I brought up my app fees to be refunded, considering every error made thus far had been on their end, he rudely said no and hung up on me.I would say from my experience and the rest of the reviews on this complex I have seen, stay far away. The units look nice, but the lack of customer service and false advertising is not worth the hassle in my opinion.
I did not end up choosing to stay at this apartment, but Bryan was a courteous tour guide, and definitely made me feel like the complex could have been my home. He deserves a bonus and a raise.
Its 12/08/2018 and Ive had a maintenance request for multiple things left open and unanswered since August 2018 - that should be enough to scare you TF away from this place, but if it isnt -Not worth the effort whatsoever. Severely misrepresented. I was shown a good looking unit in building 6, then Nicole moved me to building 2, then again to 5 just prior to my move in and assured the quality of the units were all the same - HA! Offered an opportunity to make it right and move to another unit that didnt have tiles coming out of the flooring, doors so severely jammed up you would have to kick them in, faucets loose and about to come out of the sink, gaps in the main/patio doors allowing outside air to get in, the list goes on... The contractors work is subpar at best leaving behind paint on the floors/carpets and dirt all in the carpets. I was initially shown a much nicer until and was moved around prior to my move in date until my building was finalized. The condition of the apartment was rough to put it nicely but with the kindness and reassurance of the staff (Nicole) I felt confident the issues would be addressed - this has not been the case. The repair work has total signs of subpar craftsmanship. Screws poking out of walls and caulked over... Its a joke. (who does this?). Move up the hill, COMPLETELY WORTH THE EXTRA $$$ (IF ANY) LIVING IN AN UPDATED UNIT. The walls are made of stale bread and neighbors can be heard sneezing from my living room. Wall insulation is (if there even is any) ridiculous as I have my tstat set to 76*f when home and it struggles to maintain anything less than 80*f.Ive now seen the maintenance staff change 2x since moving in during August of this year. Since then Ive had my heater quit 2x and AC quit 2x. The residents are great, neighbors are friendly, BUT THE STAFF HAS NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. They have their priorities all over the place - I had Nicole mention that theyre spending upwards of $6000 to get grass in the dog park...really? You have residences with leaking HVAC units, old, rusted appliances, and carpets that havent been replaced in at least 3 years, but dont worry the dog park needs grass lol. I had one of the maintenance guys change the same part to my HVAC 2x only for it to still not be working correctly. Every excuse from Nicole (I believe the property manager) is that theyre really backed up and dont have enough staff. Its ridiculously frustrating and embarrassing. If you ever plan on inviting people into a comfortable home, then look elsewhere. Youd be better off paying $150/month renting a cardboard box beneath an overpass on I35. My neighbors and I have gotten together to hang and complain about our experiences living here, and while disheartening, its good to know Im not the only one at the place going thru this alone. Good location, cool neighbors, but terrible staff, unkept units, and unprofessional staff. Easily the worst renting experience Ive had, ever BY FAR.Advice from a stranger: stay as far away as you possibly can and if theres no where else to rent when youre looking (not likely) look at different move in dates.Attached a photo of my current 12/08/18 maint log to show its still opened/pending from back in August.**Ill come back and edit this accordingly to reflect whatever experience follows until my lease is up, good or bad, but given the experience itll likely just be more bad***Update on 12/27/2018: the A/C is not operating again***1/21/2019 - still no functioning AC. And check the photos for a glimpse of their definition of a water leak repair**
This is the best apartment that my husband and I have ever had. The area is perfect... it is close to a trail as well as a beautiful park and also in the hill country. The apartment itself is very large with an open floor plan and HUGE kitchen that faces the living room. Kristin (the manager) is incredibly friendly and helpful. For the price, this is definitely one of the best places to live in Austin. I love it here!
I lived here a year and I loved it. The floor plan is open and the 2 bedroom feels like a house not an apartment. Even the bottom floor has tall ceilings. Luis the maintenence man is amazing and helps fix what you need quickly. Kristen the manager is kind and hard working, she has gone out of her way to make this place feel even more at home. The pool is small but relaxing, perfect for the little community we have. This is the most dog friendly place I have lived in Austin. The dog park is just the right size and being able to walk to Bull creek and swim is a big plus! The neighbors all get along and know each other and have been known to BBQ and play corn hole by the pool on weekends. Everyone is so friendly and outgoing. Im sad to move but if I ever come back to Austin you bet I will make Pointe 360 Apartments home again!
Highly highly recommend. Pat & Kristin are amazing- always remember your name and are extremely helpful. Units are nice, spacious, and clean. Garage and fireplace were a huge plus. If youre looking for a nice chill place in the Bull Creek area this is it.
This apartment complex cannot accommodate special needs dogs. The gate to the off leash park is regularly broken for a few weeks at a time. Maintenance is really inefficient. I almost had to get lawyers involved for them to fix the AC. The quarters are too close and it’s hard to get your neighbors to respect your boundaries. It leaves a lot to be desired without grass in the park areas and wall to wall carpet in the units, but we had to move out early because of the pet issues. There are other places that are more pet friendly and a little less expensive on 360.
I just signed a lease here today, and I wish I hadnt. Its impossible to get into the apartment since the keys they gave me dont unlock the door. Theres no response from the so-called emergency number, and the office wont be open for 2 days. So Im forced to sleep out on the street for two days until I can get someone to unlock the apartment door for me. This is a pretty terrible way to start a relationship with a new tenant. Im hoping the law provides some way for me to nullify the lease.
Nice quiet apartment complex hidden off 360.Nicole and the maintenance team have been great & respond quickly to any issues or requests.
This property is off of the path but that is what makes it so awesome! It is so peaceful and quite you feel like you are at a retreat!
Would highly recommend not living here strictly because of the newest management. It is practically like pulling teeth to get them to actually fix an issue rather than put a band-aid on it. The property manager uses passive aggressive blanket emails to the entire complex to “remind” the tenants of the rules of the complex. These emails typically desribe how some kind of maintenance man found something that violates one of the various rules. Typically these statements are hypocritical because of other violations not listed in these seemingly nit picky emails. Oh and the most recent threat is that the complex is “linking up with a new tow company” to monitor people parking in front of their own garages. It is understandable to have to regulate those blocking others from parking but one of the biggest issues about this place is the lack of parking spaces. On most weekends, good luck finding a parking spot after dark. Also, the dog park is ridiculous. It’s was not the worst place in the world before they spent who knows how much money resoding the area and installing huge sprinklers. The sprinklers have done nothing to save the grass from dying and they are a huge hazard for the dogs running through the area, one of the main reasons for a dog park. Overall, sign at your own risk of being thoroughly annoyed by the property manager’s emails and decisions regarding how you should properly live in this place.
Not worth your time, definitely not worth your money. I lived here for a year and a half, and while Kristin was still property manager, things were passable. Small complex, the greenbelt trail is overgrown and not maintained leading onto private property. Dog friendly is far from reality, with no dog walking allowed on the only grass that is not on the perimeter of the complex - I had to walk my dog up and down the side of the road on 360 or put her in a musty, unclean and water-ridden dog park with no grass. I moved three miles away and now pay 60% of the rent, have a larger unit and the walls of my garage are not weeping, bending and moldy. There is nothing high-end or premier about this complex except the price tag.
Be very careful and make sure you want to move in here if you move, I moved in sight unseen and there were a few things:1. The walls constantly cracked with age, and I had to ask them to fix them constantly while flakes of wall fell around all the time.2. The apartment constantly stinks of dog when it is even a little warm.3. They are very old and so very energy inefficient. I felt air escaping/entering from all windows and doors, and in case of the balcony it was very extreme. They do not have any insulation.4. They are very pricy, comparable to Gables Grandview just up the road, but are not near as nice or new as Gables, their pool is not as nice, nor is their Gym.5. They changed management 3 times while I was there and each time it was a whole new situation to receive mail and packages, get maintenance, and the last maintenance I had filled was very rude with the guy complaining about having to come fix my stove for a 3rd time. Maybe he should fix it so it doesnt break if hes tired of coming to do his job.
This review is long overdue I was going to keep it short and simple but this is the worst renting experience Ive had, specifically dealing with the management. The apartment is ok beautiful location and nice people but needs a lot of updating and there are a lot of mistakes in the apartments like doors not being put on properly or leveled at all. We managed fine in the apartment (even with a leaking ac everyday and flooded kitchen). My biggest issue is with the management of the complex, they changed on us I believe 3 times in just the span of a 1 year lease. The latest manager being Nicole, made this place a very unpleasing place to live, she felt the need to send out a negative email what felt like every week complaining about one thing or another it is quiet place and full of adults. After deciding to leave when our lease was up, Nicole made everything very difficult on us, when moving is already a pain. For starters, we rented a u haul truck very normal and have seen plenty of large trucks in the complex parked right in road, we received an email from Nicole that the u hual could not be parked near our apartment so we would have to walk a household of furniture out of the complex, when the truck would only be there less than one full day. Second, we moved out on a Friday night and the office closed for the weekend, 3 of us roommates walked the complex and looked around for a key drop box but could not find it. I returned the key the following Monday when they opened, Nicole knew what keys I was turning in and did not state a thing at the time. Come to find out she charged us for the keys being late when they were closed, as well as charged us a full months rent when we moved out two weeks into the month, so it should have been pro rated and the rest refunded to us. However even though that should not have been charged she would not refund the money until the apartment was looked over for damages (thats why we gave a security deposit for you to hold onto) but she insisted on holding onto that as well and it has been almost two months of waiting and speaking with her, she is just now saying shell get to submitting our refund next week.
I like the openess of the 1 bedroom floor plan and are able to watch tv while making dinner. I like that it is a small community and you know your neighbors well, which is comforting.
I am reposting my review because there are new owners out of Asia and there is a new management company which I have never heard of, it was a Greystar property which I wish it still was. I have lived for many years and since it was purchased it has gone downhill. This management company does not maintain the property there are way overgrown trees which is a fire hazard, the wonderful hike/bike trail is overgrown, buildings are in disrepair, horrible foundation which causes severe cracking and crumbling on walls and also last but not least termites and I have pictures of all of the issues. The manager and I have mixed words but I am too mad to have a professional conversation so I will write a letter to her because I left yelling and very angry. The one positive is Chris who does the maintenance, he is professional but overworked and stretched for time. These apartments are not even worth 700.00 per month and are an eyesore for this part of town. Oh, and if you like cheap balloons and signs out front they are there and do not belong on 360 and not to mention ballowns kill birds, very low class but if you cannot rent apartments you get desperate. This complex was always full and now there are 13 available! Here is my original post before the purchase. After selling my home and downsizing it took some time to find somewhere that felt like home, Point 360 has been exactly that for me. Kristen, Pat, and Luis are wonderful and get things done to the best of their ability. I have been here for just under 4 years and plan on staying until I leave Texas. The community is cozy and for the most part quiet. The apartments are basically sound proof which is unheard of, literally. I would say the only downfall is people parking in front of their garages which should not be allowed because it makes it difficult for others, that is why we have garages. I do wish that the apartments were decorated the same, I have seen several and they were all different. One other fabulous aspect is that there is no smoking allowed. Thank you.2.26.19- updated reviewI am now giving a 3 star which used to be a one. Although I am still disappointed in a few things I have to say that management has stepped up in several areas such as parking and dog feces rules. Now everyone is forced to use the garage as it should have been for years, your car will be towed if it is in front of your garage or do not have a permit. Some residents are complaining but you do not need all of your junk, get over it and rent a storage unit or donate. Please remember that most apartments do not even have garages. Emergency services have difficulty getting through the buildings as well (personal knowledge). They are watching people with dogs and are now fining the individuals. Now, I am learning that people are cooking in garages and patios, helloooo..., that is city code and the fire department will show up at your door with an extinguisher, no questions asked. So much for your meal. The buildings are still in need of foundation work and the apartments need quality upgrades, not just counters and floors but doors and windows as well.Respect your neighbors and know your neighbors for security reasons.
