I really cant say enough about Kennedy Automotive Services! I was heading out of town when the trunk of my car malfunctioned. AAA could not help me, I called another service provider in Wilmington and they said they could not help me either. Then I called Kennedy. It was late in the day, but they told me to come right over. Two gentlemen came out to help me and they had to really think outside the box to fix this odd issue! They were wonderful and they had me on my way in under 15 minutes. In this day and age customer service is a dying art. These guys stopped what they were doing to help me with a fix that was outside their normal scope. Anytime we need service in the future, they will be our go to! Thanks again and I wish I had grabbed the names of the two gentlemen who helped me!

A tad bit pricey! Got my back brake system done pads, rotors, and calibers... cost over $800. Same place said $450 for a new radiator and coolant while another shop charged me $300. Hmm?? Did I just get ripped off.

This is how all automotive shops should operate. When I make an appointment, they know Im coming, they know which vehicle Im bringing, and they know what to do with it. When the vehicle is ready, they call me, and I go and pick it up. The price is reasonable, and I am always confident that my vehicle has received a high-quality service or repair.

TECHNICIAN TOOK VEHICLE FOR INITIAL TEST DRIVE TO SEE IF ALL SYSTEMS WERE WORKING PROPERLY, SERVICED VEHICLE, AND BROUGHT ME THE KEYS AND EXPLAINED TO ME THE SERVICE THAT HE PERFORMED ( OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION ).HE ALSO ADVISED ME OF THE ADJUSTMENT OF FLUID LEVELS THAT WERE DONE. VERY PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZED SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOP.

I highly recommend Kennedy Automotive! I moved to Wilmington not knowing anyone so asked around regarding vehicle service issues. Kennedy Automotive was recommended by more than one person so I decided to try them and have never looked back. They are professional, courteous, reliable and very reasonably priced. Their recommendations make sense and, as a female who knows very little about mechanical issues, I really appreciate the fact that they tell me what needs to be done in laymans terms and also clarify what must be done now from what can safely be done later.

Their service is great however the owner does not pay his service advisors anywhere near what they are worth. And they require their service advisor to mop floors clean windows in bathrooms who does that anymore? Ridiculous

I have been a customer for more than 15 years. While no company is perfect, and problems do occur, I find I am treated with respect and gratitude for my business, and we communicate to clear up issues. Grateful for a company that I trust, that I refer, and that takes care of my vehicle(s) professionally and skillfully.

Ever since Mark has left the office staff has gone down hill. My wife was trying to get a quote on a part we needed fixed and they new older office guy wouldnt quote her anything and then told her to fix the part herself and hung up on her. I have been going there for years but will no longer go there. The owner is great and if I could just deal with him all the time they would get my business back.

We are on vacation visiting friends and our Tahoe broke down....i brought the Tahoe in this morning to get fixed and Mark was very friendly he explained everything and rushed our vehicle because he knew I had my 7 month old with us and she had to get to an appointment tomorrow. I have never in my life had such a great experience with a mechanics shop and thats including family. My name is Aaron and I wanted to thank Mark very much for his friendly attitude and being very helpful. I only wish they had a shop like this in South Carolina.

As a family we total 3 vehicles serviced at Kieths shop. From a Mach 1 Mustang to a(choke) Prius with a Hyundai in between we have always received really good, honest,and competent service. They even put up with my meddling. We find we often get morethan we pay for. Good people, good operation.

Did amazing work on my Z71 took it to have the timing set had it in and out extremely fast and paid the exact amount discussed nothing hidden would highly recommend.

I took my sons car here for a rough running engine problem. They had it there 6 days and called me to pick it up. They said they tried everything and it was not possible to diagnose. So I was then presented with a bill for $345 . Yes, $345 for nothing...what a ripoff

Very friendly, didnt wait a long time, my vehicle was in and out within a hour.

First time customer. Read the reviews and decided to give them a try, they did not disappoint. Only came in for an oil change and 40000 mile checkup, they got me in right away, fast, knowledgeable and affordable. Completely honest and trustworthy. Im comfortable enough to have my wife bring her SUV in without me (next week). Ive finally found my permanent mechanic! DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Nice people but it’s a money pit. They won’t give an estimate without a hundred dollar diagnostic fee. After paying the fee they thought they found the problem but were wrong. After $400 and a quote for $750 more I declined any more repairs. Instead of finding the problem they would rather put new parts on until its fixed. The problem was an a/c compressor. I bought one online for $130 and for $200 I’m heaving a mechanic down the road install it.

2nd time there. We were in a serious time crunch, and they got us in and done, despite being busy. Great major work for a very fair price. Don Mack & Maryann Timon

I found Kennedy Automotive Services to be very professional, friendly, accommodating and their fees to be competitive. I have and will recommend them to others.

They do not deserve a single star. I was lied to, overcharged, and they didnt even fix half of what they should have and they kept truck way longer than they told me they would...... edited for your response: I was the one who told you I was going to give you a bad review when you stood there and lied to my face! You didnt have any resemblance of an excuse that could explain away all the problems with the service, while I was standing in front of you, dont bother pretending for google review.

They were absolutely great, fast and funny. Definitely recommend them.

They have always been very accomdating when I call to have my car serviced - even at the last moment. They are reasonable and always try to be helpful.

I drop off my truck to get a repair estimate for transfer case. I tell Marc Knight (service mgr), to have them change Fuel filter also.Marc calls a couple hours later to tell me whats wrong with my truck and what other issues they found.He tells me the shift rod and bearings are missing and gives me a price $100 over other local repair shops. Then tells me about many issues from front spindles to clearance lights.I ask him not do any repairs, telling him the prices are to high compared to other businesses I have checked and used in the area. Marc tells me its too late they already installed the fuel filter and it will cost me almost $200 for the filter and install. I tell him this repair normally cost me less than $80. Ive owned this vehicle for 8 years and change filter every other oil change. He says the book calls for .8 hours repair and they charge over $100 per hr. But he can reduce the price to .8 instead of 1 hour they had apparently rounded up too. But if have to pay for the repairs either way.I tell him dont do anything else to my truck im coming to pick it up. When I arrive Marc is gone and someone else is at the desk. He gives me a bill for the repair and a charge for almost $50 just to look at my truck. The paper I signed to have truck looked says its free to get a quote and have truck checked. So to get my truck I had pay for a free service that I had even asked Marc about when I filled out and signed paper. The guy at counter gives me a print out of all the things wrong they (say) are wrong with my truck. He goes over it all and tells me yes you have to pay for us looking at the truck too.I take the print out from Kennedy Automtive to 2 other local auto repair shops in Wilmington.They proceed to tell me my truck does not even have some of the parts that Kennedy listed needing repair. My truck is a 2500 and doesnt come with the parts they listed. I get the shifter rod and bushings replaces while I wait at one of the local shops for less than $150. Test drive free from both places to check the truck and tell me whats wrong.Kennedy also said the front end would not withstand being put into four wheel drive without repairing parts the truck dont have. But its been a few weeks now the truck works great in and out of 4x4.I was gonna leave it be and just tell friends and co workers about the bad experience but I get a card in the mail last week from owners of Kennedy.Owners if you dont know this stuff you should. Everyone else beware.I wish I could post the printout on here and what my truck is so everyone can see for themselves.Johnathon

I was refereed to Kennedy Automotive a little over a year ago and since then I havent taken my vehicles anywhere else. I refer anyone who needs professional work done to Kennedy Automotive.

Great communication and quick service.

They charged us to fix car but when we got car back nothing was fixed. Their receipt didnt match what they said they did to our car and they had not proof of doing any work or test. This place is crooked and they are thieves dont take ur car here unless you want to throw cash away.

Be cautious with this shop. I was charged $161 for a battery terminal (a $5 part). I was told my negative cable needed to be replaced. After the work was completed I found no cable had been replaced, and only the terminal was replaced. After confronting them with the issue i received the majority of my money back, but the point is they tried taking advantage of me.
