The lady was super nice and sweet. However i wanted to get my hair done, the hair straightener ripped my hair because it was a little broken. They didn’t provide a product or conditioner while washing or a good product before the heat so it can make my hair little soft. My hair is super short. I paid $80 and I went back home redo it. I think its just a lack of experience with the hair. However the staff is super nice and the place is clean

I was so happy to have my long-time stylist move to this amazing location in Downtown D.C. I have literally never let anyone touch my hair for the past ten years since I found Alex. His cuts are beautiful, precise, and modern and they keep looking great even when I cant make it back to the salon as soon as I want to. The new salon has great colorists as well, and I love my new warm copper-blonde color. Alex is great about listening and interpreting what I want, and always gives me great advice about what would look best with my hair, and the best cut for my limited styling time! I’ve never been to a place to a place like this. Alex treats everyone like family (and his salon is literally a family operation too). He does amazing hair — I’ve been thrilled every time — and two of my friends have been seeing Lisa for years. There’s a reason this place has perfect reviews, I’ll never go anywhere else.

I have tried over 50 stylists/barbers since leaving the military. There has only been four requirements - no gel, no bangs, no hairdryer required, and after a run and a shower it falls into place. For a guy you would think that would be easy (high and tight is not an option). No one in 20 years has been able to meet all four. Alex was able to do it on the first try. He understood exactly what I wanted. I gave him an unruly gray mop and he turned it in an easy maintain, perfect cut. He has another dedicated customer.

In September we were in town doing the tourist thing and the humidity was killing my hair. At the end of a long day we were walking back to our hotel when we came across Alex Provenzano Salon just a few blocks from the White House. On a whim I stopped in and didnt have to wait long for a great shampoo and blow dry from Ana. It is a hip salon and the stylists were super friendly. My hair looked so great that we went out for a really nice dinner that evening.

Alex has hit it out of the park with his new hire Lisa. She is a color specialist who finds the right balance to hit any color of the spectrum you can imagine. Perhaps more importanly, she treats every client as the priority and perfects my basic cut despite it being well below her skill level. I’ve referred several people to her and they have all been very happy. Five stars.

Got a polish change on my toes and feet and they were great. Took me right away and were quick with the process. Best of all the polish lasted 10 days before I saw a chip! Unheard for even a manicure but much less a simple polish change. I will definitely be going back.

The most important quality of any stylist is their ability to listen, and Alex does that better than anyone I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going to him for 4 years, and before my first cut from him, had never been to the same stylist more than twice. I have wavy hair, which is notoriously difficult for most stylists to cut, but Alex does it well every time. He is patient, understanding, and has a very pleasant demeanor. I highly recommend him to anyone.

He listened to some ideas I had and then talked through some ideas he had. As he cut my hair he taught me how to do my hair and what techniques would work well. So I left since I wasnt expecting that Id need to take a half day off for a 30-min hair cut.

I went in today for an “emergency” hair cut (emergency as in, i realized I had let my hair get too long and out of control and I couldn’t stand it another day). I had a 230 appointment on May 24, 2018 for a basic pedicure. I picked out my color, and was seated within 2 minutes after my arrival. Since Im on my lunch hour, Im a bit pressed for time. I was done within 45 minutes to include the heel treatment and a some excess callous. I would recommend Xtremities. Although they do walk-ins, I recommend an appointment. Great price for a downtown nail salon.

Have been here twice. First time was a fine man/ped, nothing super special but they did do complimentary heel treatment. Second time was worse, ended up leaving before treatment (after 25+ min wait) because they seemed to be prioritizing other customer before me and they are still using the old style pedicure chairs with no liner and limited cleaning. Would also like to see more polish choices. They had only about 15 Essie choices.Not particularly friendly, but I caught them at a busy time.

Bad. They charge $15 for a manicure where they cant even put a hot towel on your hands, and no paper towel under your hands when resting? CHEAP! Fine for waxes. Otherwise, dont come here.
