I highly recommend American Imaging. I will now only go here for all of my imaging needs. I love the fact that they bill my insurance to see what my insurance will pay prior to billing me. I have been to other places that demand money upfront and I always over paid at these other companies and had to wait to be reimbursed hundreds of dollars. Their staff is always nice and their facility is always clean and inviting.

One of the best experiences Ive had at an imaging center. Sorrel did my ultrasound and Barbara took care of my mammogram/bone density test. They were both very skilled/professional and I felt VERY comfortable during all 3 tests. They were so friendly and kept up an easy dialogue. I will definitely choose this facility again. The front desk girl was professional but not friendly in any way. I think she was having a bad day. The facility is really nice. The wait wasnt long at all for multiple testing.

I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with American Imaging. The mammogram technician was patient and efficient and the new 3D mammogram machine made this scan vastly more comfortable than prior ones. My ultrasound technician helped calm my nerves and made the procedure a smooth one. Best of all, Dr. Ballard reviewed the ultrasound results and personally delivered them to me in less than 15 minutes. (It was a good result, btw.) I highly recommend this facility.

American imaging is a five star plus.The staff is very professional and caring you can bet you will be out of there quickly.If I ever need to have a MRI done it will be American imaging.Thanks to all the staff who made my MRI a breeze.

I’m from New Jersey and had to have an ultra sound for a blood clot. I looked on google and found American Imaging., I called and got an appointment in an hour. The facility is new and very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The tech that did the scan was very professional and friendly. She made me feel at ease and the scan was complete with in a half an hour and I was on my way out the door. I will never go anywhere else while I’m here in Florida. This place is the best, from being greeted at the door and when I left the women at the front desk said, have a nice day. My doctor received the results of my scan the next day.

The techs are great and make you feel very comfortable and Dr. Ballard is fantastic!

We brought our senior mother here for imaging on two occasions. Both times we were able to get in quickly. Easy to schedule and very brief wait once we got there. Mom was grateful for the friendly technicians who treated her with compassion, explained the process, and alleviated any fears. Most importantly, they have excellent radiologists on site! The beautiful facility is really a bonus, but the atmosphere was certainly nicer than any place Ive been. I will go there myself next time I need imaging.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was able to get my bone density scan and mammogram done on the same visit. The facility was very clean and I would recommend American Imaging of Southwest Florida to anyone who wants a thorough examination with a friendly staff.

This facility has been great. Prompt scheduling, worked quickly to get services authorized with my insurance, gave me a phenomenal price as a self pay when my insurance wouldnt approve, results went out quickly, gave me the disc to take to a different physician, etc... I have now used them 3 times for an MRI of the wrist, an MRI of the foot and a DEXA scan. I am in the medical field myself and I appreciate an efficient provider and this is a great place to use.

Called to get an appointment for a CT of the head as a result of a concussion. Was told that it would be 10 days before I could get an appointment. I stated that was not an option due to the fact that when you have a concussion, there is a concern about bleeding on the brain. The response was that it would take 10 days to confirm my insurance but that they could do it if I paid out of pocket! I pay $36k a year for medical insurance and I certainly am not going to pay out of pocket. Absolutely unacceptable and unbelievable! Called Radiology Regional at their new facility in Port Charlotte. The rep was very pleasant and helpful and gave me an appointment in 3 1/2 hours!Update / reply to response below: While I certainly appreciate your response, I respectfully disagree. Since no order was sent to your facility, electronically or otherwise and I was not asked nor did I provide the originating order, how could your facility possibly know whether or not the order was stat or not?

Previously had MRI a few months ago at American Imaging, the facility was very professional and kind. The staff made the MRI experience very easy. They made sure I was comfortable and performed the task in a timely manner.

Awesome experience, much better than I could expect.Had a live person from this site on the phone instantly.The courteous and professional person I spoke to found me an appointment for only two days later.I was greeted warmly as soon as I entered the lobby and was called by my ultrasound technician within 10 minutes.My technician was named Shannon andshe was all business and very efficient but at the same time friendly and expldined everything clearly.I would recommend this imaging office 100%.Excellent experience.

Very professional with no wait. Got my results the next day and they followed up with a call. The radiologist was wonderful and presented a very thorough report.

Thank God Dr. Ballard opened this place! I have not been at this office as of yet, however I did get a tour at the grand opening, and met his staff.As needed this is where I will come in the future, not that other hell hole called advanced radiology.

This a very clean and helpful office. People are happy, very pleasant and up beat which helps when you are nervous Been here several times, nice to be remembered and receiving that warm happy smile. If you are unsure where to go for very professional help and testing of any kind, this is the place for you.

I have had several medical issues over the past 2 years. We moved to Port Charlotte 2.5 years ago and initially was sent to Advanced Imaging for many tests. Out of 6 MRIs completed at Advanced Imaging, 2 were read incorrectly. My primary care provider told me he had even sent a patient there for a test which the results stated her uterus was intact and normal, when she had had a hysterectomy!! When I contacted Advanced Imaging about the inaccurate reports on my MRIs, no one called me back to address the problem. Thankfully, American Imaging was born from the frustration of both patients and physicians in the area dealing with Advanced Imaging. I have been using American Imaging for all tests since my treatment and lack of concern at Advanced Imaging.American Imaging is proficient, compassionate and helpful. The Radiologist was able to compare my test with past results from 2 out of 3 previous facilities. I had to sign a release to have my records sent to American Imaging from all 3 facilities. The out of town facilities all complied and sent my records for comparative reviews, but Advanced Imaging, right here in town did not send my records. 10 days ago I had to have scans done at a local oncologist office. Little did I know they dont have a radiologist on staff. Guess where they send images for reading...Advanced Imaging. I had my follow up appointment to get my results with the oncologist 1 week later and my appointment was cancelled because the oncologist had not received the reports of my scans. Im still waiting to find out my results which is stressful. I am contacting the oncologist to please send my images to American Imaging. Even if Advanced Imaging reads my scans, I will not feel confident that they have been read accurately given my previous experience with them.IMHO, American Imaging is the only place to go for testing in Port Charlotte. On other tests, they have had results to my treating physician within two days, sometimes even the same day. The staff have been caring and compassionate. If I could rate them 10 Stars, I would!

My father and I both had imaging done here and we could not be more pleased.I had an ultrasound. I scheduled the appointment myself, which was very easy. The person I spoke to on the phone was very kind and helpful. I received a courtesy reminder call from a live person, not a recording.Checking in was quick and easy. I had a very short wait time. My ultrasound technician/sonographer was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She made sure I was comfortable every step of the way and ensured my privacy. My physician received my results within three days.My father had a CT. His appointment was scheduled by his physicians office. There was a glitch with his appointment being cancelled due to miscommunication between American Imaging and his physicians office, but American Imaging called him and remedied the situation very quickly.Mind you, the person he spoke with was very apologetic and kind, he even got the same appointment he originally had! He received a courtesy reminder call from a live person, not a recording. Per my dad, check in was quick and easy and he had a very short wait time as well.He said everyone he encountered was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. His physician received his results within two days.My ONLY suggestion is to get the patient forms working on your webpage.Thank you, American Imaging, for really stepping up your game, especially with such a large volume of patients to take care of. We appreciate you and we will definitely be back should we need more testing in the future.

I was in and out in 20 minutes.Chest imaging with newest technology.And saw clear and precise pictures

Staff was all nice, ambiance is nice, I was disappointed by the uncomfortable wedge needed for ultrasound imaging, Ive had this test many times before but never had that unpleasant position to hold for images. They need a different bed/exam table for ultrasound, this uncomfortable wedge you have to climb onto really is not ideal and if you have any back/spinal pain its really uncomfortable to lay on for imaging, just fyi. There also is no screen for the patient to also view the mysterious blips and beeps as the tests are being done. Every other facility I have been to has had screens/monitors/even TVs mounted on the wall so you can watch whats happening as they take images inside your own body. That was a bummer.But all the personnel were really nice.Follow up: Over a week later and my results were still not received by the ordering physician. More headache for me to deal with when I was assured it wouldnt take more than a few days.
