I wanted to send a shout out to the best agent in State Farm. Thanks for all your help on my rest glass issue. Always recommend your business to friends and family members. Thanks for all that you do for me and my family. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Daneisha went above and beyond with getting my life policy reinstated. Very professional with explaining the process.
So far I am satisfied, a bit pricey but very fast to route you for your car repairs. I have the bad luck of always getting my cars punched while I am in parking lot shopping or even parked in my apartment community. Sorry but I am not driving my car with fenders, door dents side swiping. They were fast to pay my car repair.
I have been with Statefarm for about 6 years. I have lived in 3 different states and had 3 different agents. I was very happy with the first two. I got a DC agent when I moved to DC, but the level of disorganization at her office has become untenable. I decided I needed to change agents. After our last policy debacle, I called the LaCasse agency and explained the situation. The young lady with whom I spoke was very understanding, polite, and professional, and told me the agency would be happy to receive my business, but that I would need to ask the other agent to transfer the policy over. I had no objection to doing that, but I didnt ask for detailed instructions. At the time our new renters policy was still being written, so I decided to wait until that process had been completed. I called back again today to find out what, exactly, I needed to do to get our auto and renters policies switched over and a different young lady told me I would not be allowed to switch because thats not how Statefarm does business. I asked if I am entitled to choose my agent or switch agencies if my agent is incompetent. She said I would need to call the corporate office and that that is not something we would be able to do. She could not give me a logical reason why Statefarm would prevent me from changing my agent and did not seem to care that she was turning down business. I told her the previous employee I spoke to indicated that my current agent would need to transfer the policy at my request, but that she made no mention of a prohibition on switching agents. She gave no explanation for the inconsistency and said neither my current agent nor the LaCasse agency would be able to initiate the transfer. I told her I would bring my business to an agent who actually wants it and bid her good day.Mr. LaCasse, I worked in customer service for a looong time, and I must tell you, this is not the way to run a business. Your staff should be consistent in their answers. They should be helping customers solve problems, not creating new ones. The policies should be logical and customer centered. The idea that I cannot choose which agent services my policy is nonsensical! I cannot imagine what could possibly be gained from such a policy. Do you want your staff to go out of their way to obtain and maintain business or to find a reason to turn down business? In the age of Yelp, having employees with a no mentality simply will not fly. I strongly encourage you to rethink your hiring and training practices.
Had called about rates on car insurance and the responders were extremely kind and helpful. I feel confidently know what choices Im making here.
My ex estranged friend crashed my car and I was distraught. It was very stressful. However the great people at the Statefarms office of Tim LaCasse made this horrific ordeal into a win win situation. With wonderful and caring customer service over the phone and in the office, I was able to file a claim and receive a settlement in a week!! I wanna give a special shoutout 😤📣 to Ms. May‼ She is one of the most informative, helpful & caring Customer Service Rep in the office. I wanna sincerely thank Tim LaCasse and his team! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The reason I’m giving a negative rating is from an event that happened a year ago. I’m just getting around to writing this review. My basement in Baltimore was flooded and I need to take a claim out. My neighbor’s water main was the cause of the flood in my basement as it broke and flooded both their basement (badly) and mine.My issue is I still had to pay a $2000 deductible for damage caused by a faulty pipe of my neighbors. I was concerned about this and I truly did not want to incur this expense. I stated my case to State Farm. They were respectful and punctual with responding to me during this process. That I’m not giving a one star. However, the reason I am leaving this negative review is because State Farm failed to recover my $2000 deductible from my neighbor’s insurance company, or waive it.I simply received an email one day that stated they lost the case for my $2000 and that was the end of it.I’d like to add, that if this is a failure on State Farm at large and not solely this DC outlet, feel free to respond and clarify that. I’ve been a customer for 6+ years with this office.Break breakAfter leaving a negative review originally, Tim personally reached out and walked me through this whole process. Ultimately I couldn’t get the $2,000 back because there was no negligence on the part of my neighbor, just old plumbing in Baltimore. It was a show of good faith and customer service for Tim to reach out personally. I’m old school and that goes a long way.
Amazing agent. Went the extra mile. Tim is a great guy. Was always willing to chat and work with on the issue. Staff was super professional. Had a claim and on roof damage and the claim was super fast. I cannot recommend strongly enough.
I have worked with this company for the past 5-6 years and have had nothing but excellent service! The employees are patient and very helpful. They try to find ways to save your money while protecting your interests. I would highly recommend them. 10 stars.
One of the most non-responsive agents Ive ever encountered, either as an employee of State Farm or an outright customer. As a former 27 year State Farm employee, I worked in five different states with State Farm and never before have I dealt with an agent who just doesnt return phone calls to his customers. Ive been calling Tim for over a week now leaving messages for him to call me on an urgent issue regarding my IRA/mutual funds. Hes either in a meeting or out to lunch. So, I took matters into my own hands and called State Farms corporate office to have my issue resolved (something that Tim should have done as the servicing agent) AND asked to have my products moved to another agent. And as some of you have mentioned in your reviews, Tims staff is rude and condescending and does not seem to care either. I guess as long as Tim is getting the premium from your policies/products, hes okay with not ACTUALLY SERVICING THE PRODUCTS AND WORKING WITH HIS CUSTOMERS. Check around thoroughly before you decide on a State Farm agent. Again, as a former employee I know what service to expect from a State Farm agent and Tim is not it! There are good, RESPONSIVE agents here in the D.C. area. Good Luck!!UPDATE: approximately a month later and Tim still has not returned my urgent calls. Not a problem though, Ive removed most o my products from Tim and had them assigned to another agent.......still working on having everything else removed. If Tim cant return my phone calls, he doesnt deserve to pad his pocket with the premiums from my products. Take my advice and shop around before landing on this agent as your agent of record.
Note: this review has been edited from 1 to 4 stars. Tim called me after returning from vacation and profusely apologized for the situation. He seems like a great guy and I genuinely felt that he valued my business and wanted to make things right. Bad employees come and go; at the end of the day I can only fault the company by the ultimate response of the ownership. Tim handled things well.---------After seeing other reviews, its clear that disrespectful staff is an accepted norm in this office. I run a small business and prior to this worked years in the service industry and I cannot even fathom speaking to a client, or even just a stranger, in the nature I was just spoken to. I wish Id gotten the womans name but I was so blown away I just had to hang up the phone and cry. I was trying to understand a letter Id received from corporate headquarters. Id just purchased a home 3 months ago, am am a first time home owner and I simply had no idea how to handle the particular situation and needed some basic guidance. What I got was pretty much an f you. Unless you like being verbally bullied and abused, do yourself a favor and avoid this company.
Yep! Good to Go!!
We started working with Tim and his office 5 years back for insurance needs including home, auto, various life policies & disability. We have always had a pleasant experience when meeting in person or working things out over the phone. Tim is very involved in and supportive of the neighborhood of Capitol Hill and is generous with his time & financial support. He truly is like a good neighbor and I wholeheartedly recommend Tim LaCasse State Farm.
My wife and I have been working with Tim and his team for over 5 years and have been nothing but impressed. Tim and I sat in his office for awhile and he really took the time to get to know me before we even starting talking about insurance. He knows his business very well, but I never sensed that he was moving us towards coverage we didnt need. I can always reach him by phone and email and his team has always been great in following up, providing answers to questions, or forwarding necessary declarations paperwork, etc. I recommend him highly.
Whenever you have a question regarding your policy State Farm will handle it masterly and in timely manner . Whether it was setting up a renters or life policy, my needs were at most importance to the agent and his staff. Also the office is super cute if you get through the steps.
I have had multiple accounts with Tim and his team for many years. Ive never had anything but first rate professional service in addressing whatever issue any of the accounts may have generated. I couldnt be more satisfied with my relationship with this company.
Britney Hodson in Tim LaCasse s office has been just wonderful to work with on my insurance needs. She goes the extra mile with details and customer service and stays on top of everything on all times. I highly recommend Britney and Tims office. Everyone there has been great.
Tim is a great guy and an excellent salesman. He is very busy but he has been more than willing to make time for me to come in and talk through whatever issues or insurance needs I have. The staff has been courteous each time I come to the office and have helped me with minor issues over the phone on more than one occasion. I come to Tim for all of my life and home insurance needs.
There’s no other agent I would rather have than Tim. He stepped outside(mentally) of being a agent/salesmen to further understand my needs. Much appreciated!
Bad experience. Tim LaCasse along with staff was very rude and unpleasant to work with. Mei personally hung up the phone on me when I requested for the call to be forwarded to the supervisor, Tim. Tim was highly disrespectful and made discriminatory gestures of my age. Tim also stated to me he can be rude to me as I was rude to his staff. What kind of business owner address a loyal customer in that tone? Good Luck State Farm! Everyone should reconsider allowing conducting business with this agent. I made a formal complaint with corporate today.
This office is terrible. I worked with Brittany she unprofessional and very rude. In addition to her unpleasant attitude she was very slow and forgetful. Having purchased a new vehicle, I requested new cards. Brittany never sent an email with new cards or proof of coverage. After calling several times, I finally was able to have the email sent. Upon receiving the email, the Binder of Insurance was not signed. My temporary cards were never mailed and once available on 7/26 they expired on 7/21. This office is the most incompetent office from the agent himself to the horrible staff that works there as well. I had the customer service line generate a complaint and leave a message for the agent to return my call. I never received a returned call!!! I call the customer service line again (because no one is ever available in the office) and she advised that the message was received and checked. This office checked my messages and never even returned my call. The customer service line is useless and can only handle minor or menial issues. My recommendation would be to never work with the office. Youre better off with online carriers because having an agent as horrible as this office is just as impersonal and difficult.
I have been a customer of Tims for more than a decade. He is responsive as is his staff and even funny. I highly recommend him as an agent.
My insurance company since 1984 the people are great home and auto insurance
Attitude! Wow. Ive been a State Farm customer on and off for years through many different addresses including Tampa, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Palo Alto, and DC for both car insurance and renters. Never have I experienced the level of sass and attitude that Ive received from the team in this office.
Great customer service for insurance and advice.
Good service
Tim LaCasses State Farm Office provided me with great customer service!!
I have NEVER received customer service this rude or inept!!!! They charged my card for a policy then said they could not write the policy...this was over 6 weeks ago, and I have yet to receive a refund or explanation. I will NEVER deal with State Farm again!!!
