How wonderful to deal with a business thats been around for many decades, and a knowledgeable staff thats been around for many decades too. They knew exactly what I needed, had the part in stock, installed it for me, and sent me on my way. The big box audio stores come and go, but thankfully some of the true audio stores run by actual audiophiles have survived, and this is one of those stores.

Great people and great place to do business! These guys are great. I was accidentally given the wrong color speaker on Saturday afternoon and didn’t realize until I got home and unboxed it. They went above and beyond to make it right and save family movie night. I’m definitely going back to them next time!

We hired listenUp to remove a whole bunch of weird wires and devices throughout our new home. They did a great job and helped us understand the system installed by the previous owners. The technicians that helped us were very professional and cleaned up after their work. I would highly recommend ListenUp.

If you want excellent speakers and great service you need to go into ListenUp.Jim was excellent the entire way. I was just buying a pair of bookshelf speakers but I received care and service like I was buying some multi-thousand dollar home theater system with custom install. The entire process was excellent and ended up buying some nice B&Ws that sound amazing at home right now.Called in. Got questions answered over the phone from a human. His name was Jim :-)He ordered speakers in from another location within two days. Called me right away to tell me they were in (love that excellent communication).I came in to hear to them and they werent what I wanted. No problem, ListenUp ordered in another pair from the manufacturer. Had them setup for me in a few days. I listened, loved, bought and am writing this review.You can try to buy speakers online, but dont. Go to ListenUp. Some shopping experiences like Audio/Video are meant to be in person. Support local.

Everything went smoothly, from the first contact through chat online with Scott, to the experience with the salesperson, Andy. Both were knowledgeable and helped us choose the right tv for our needs. Installation was perfect, with the two young men explaining everything in detail and going a step beyond, even helping my husband sync his hearing aids to the tv! I would highly recommend ListenUp to anyone who wants excellent customer service and a price guarantee that cannot be beat! A first rate experience all the way around.

Jareth Michael and Justin Roberts arrived on time and were very helpful and skilled in the installation of my new tv. we adjusted the height several times and then set up all the apps and oppo blu-ray using the optical out to pass all audio to my older Denon. Very helpful!

The experience I had at this speaker shop was second to none! They are incredibly knowledgeable about everything they sell here. People ask why buy things in person when they can be delivered? Update 4/24/2018The company did the right thing and called me to schedule a re-work of the surround sound wiring. They used narrow white speaker wire, fastened it to the baseboards, and tucked it under the carpet along the baseboards so it no longer shows. Great job by Hank and Tom!! Kudos to ListenUp! After photos are posted.I used this company, at the recommendation of a friend, to install an existing surround sound system in my new home. This was the worst decision I could have made - it ended up costing more than a new system and was a very poor job. The technicians came twice - the first time I paid a service fee only to find out the CD changer wasnt working and it affected the whole unit. But at that time I told them I wanted white cable which they did not have with them. The second call, they also did not bring white - told me to paint the black. They did not run the cables under the carpet or under the baseboards. I am totally disgusted with the job that was done in my new home.

Going into this store was a little intimidating given the high quality products they sell, but Jim made me feel absolutely comfortable with being there. ListenUp is a valuable resource for the folks of Colorado who want professional help and recommendations for their home Hi-Fi. Absolutely Awesome place to buy audio equipment.I have purchased $1000s of audio equipment over the last year and ListenUp is by far the best to work with. Dont bother with Best Buy (I returned everything I bought) and dont bother looking anywhere else.Personal story, I had purchased a B&W 600 series speaker that had a slight buzz to it. They replaced it for me right away, awesome customer service. Also, the customer service is REAL...They dont BS and tell you what you want to hear, they tell you industry insights and teach you how to purchase the best audio setup for yourself.Ask for Willis, he is my go to guy. I am a tough consumer, I strive to know everything about products before I buy but Willis still taught me a ton of new info. I did not know him before stepping into the store. His customer service is that good.

UPDATE: WOW! Evan Stinson, Branch Manager, responded to the posting below by delivering a new Bose speaker (in the box) and installing it...on a Saturday! Im officially impressed and changing from one star to 5!NOTICE: A Bose warranty runs while in Listen Ups inventory. The replacement offering had expired before the component was even delivered. The remaining standard warranty was only good for 5 months total. A Listen Up technician argued with Bose to get authorization to ship & repair. Bose was not going to do this for me alone. I still had to personally package and ship the device myself. I am in the 3rd week without a sound system. Aside from the effort of the technician, the combination of Listen Up and Bose does not rate a whole lot of stars.

Andy Nizzotti was amazing to work with. As a newbie I had a lot of questions and wanted to explore many different items. Andy was expertly knowledgable and infinitely patient with me over several different days and email as well. Even though I had to bug him a lot for help switching speakers and such I never once felt like he was annoyed with me... I actually felt honored. I felt no pressure and Andy took into account my budget and designed a lot of options for me. I ended up with a setup which Im in love with. Ill be coming back for future upgrades. Thanks Andy!

I was needing to replace my 8 year old Sony 55 inch TV. Upon coming in I was promptly greeted by an associate and ask how could they help me. Prior to coming in I had looked at Sony TVs and the different models. They answered all my questions and showed me the different models and allowed me to decide what best fit my needs. I appreciated the professionalism and not having a high pressure sales pitch. Because I live in Boulder county, lower tax rate, I was able to have the new TV delivered and set up for about the same price I would have paid if I took the TV. The delivery guys were also great. They were very careful, made sure the new 65 inch Sony was working properly, explained basic operating information with the new remote. were very courteous, and even took the old TV for recycle along with the packaging from the new TV. I would encourage you to let new customers know the real advantage of having their new TV delivered... i.e. setting up the new TV, recycling the old TV which cost $$ to properly dispose of it, and the carrying away all the packing materials from the new TV. Most people may not be aware of Colorados law that prohibits landfill disposal of electronics and this could be a good additional selling point for those replacing especially a large TV, etc. Current pricing for recycling TVs in Boulder is $ .59 a pound. This was something that I knew about which made having my new TV delivered a no brainer.

Your sales guy, Mr. Jim Kearns, has done me well and is too patient even when I run long at our meetings. :-pI am happy with the equipment I have thus far. The Furman Elite-20 PFi has been the best single addition to my sound system. The electricity here is wonky and despite having hi-fi components I have noticed a marked increase in audio quality, to the point of purchasing the hi-res stream at Pandora. Ive shopped for all of my electronics at Listen up over the last 3 years and have nothing but positive things to say. I live in Estes Park and frequent the Boulder store.Ive found them to carry the highest quality of products, a good selection and also by far the most knowledgeable staff Ive ever found at any electronics retailer by a mile!They also carry products not to be found at whatever big box chain store you might frequent. I actually asked about something I didnt know existed but thought should and sure enough, I now own something called a Buttkicker. Bob the Manager at this location, though he didnt stock it, knew of Buttkickers which are low frequency generators that can be mounted on a nice recliners frame. As Listen Up also carries some theater seats for home use, I had them add one onto a nice recliner I bought there and its unreal. Talk about feeling the Bass! The whole of the leather on the chair turns it into a giant subwoofer and you get to vibrate right along with your favorite music.All in all, I can say Ive been very happy with everything Ive bought from them and the only piece of equipment that seemed to be defective over the course of a year, an amp I bought, well LU helped me to get a new one for free from the manufacturer and they replaced what I bought with a newer unit costing 50% more at no charge to me.Without LUs help, I seriously doubt that would have happened.I cant recommend anywhere Ive ever shopped for stereo that even comes close to the service I get at Listen Up! Plus on top of it all, their prices are very fair. In fact I just bought a sub that was carried also by a large retail chain and paid less than the chain store wanted as I also got free delivery on top of the subwoofer being priced the same.Mark Hodges
