I showed the guy a picture of what I wanted right when I got there he said okay I can do it. Well as you can see he did not give me what I wanted. The nails are not bad but it’s not what I wanted I repeatedly told the man that this is not what I want it’s not looking right and he just kept saying okay and would file the nail and not do anything to change it. He cut at least three of my fingers while using the drill. After we were finished he said is this good I said no this is not what I wanted and he didn’t do anything to change the nails didn’t give me any discounts nothing. I’ve never been here before I will not be coming back if you can’t do a simple acrylic set at a nail salon there’s a problem.

I asked for brown French Tip nails and one nail painted white with cow print. The French tips look horrible and so do the cow print. The color I chose was a sparkly brown as they did not have a solid brown and as the nail tech was polishing my nails, I asked if the color was brown because it looked more like a deep purple. He assured me that the color was brown which of course it is not. I called them the next day to express how much I did not like my nails. The owner/manager told me I’ve the phone that she would do my nails. When I got there, the stuck me with the same tech who refused to remove all of the nails and make them clear tips (which is what I wanted instead) and then he tried to charge me an additional $15 for a color change once I gave in and agreed to just get one solid color instead of any kind of design. At this point I asked if I could just get a refund since I had already paid them $60 yesterday. They refused to refund me and refused to paint my nails with the design I asked for. I ended up leaving with no polish on my nails- just uneven, bumpy acrylic. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else- terrible customer service and even worse skill.

I live in NH and visited this salon while on vacation. Highly, highly recommend. Ivy and entourage are amazing and engaging. To be honest, most of the places I have had my nails done, I feel as though I am an imposition to the person. I have no problem with people conversing in other languages, but when they only converse with each other, ignore their clients completely, and jerk your hand to where they want it, it gets awkward and uncomfortable. You start wondering if they are talking about you, and you start second guessing why you wanted to get your nails done in the first place. But, Ivy Nails is nothing like this. My nail stylist actually talked to me!!! She was so sweet and kind! Very enjoyable experience. My husband came with me, and they even let him sit in the massage chair beside me. The man was thrilled. My ANC nails stayed on for over a month. Most other nails I have had pop off in two weeks. Excellent prices, kind and engaging staff, and a most relaxing experience with quality nails.I enjoyed Ivys so much that I insisted on bringing my sister there for her birthday.On a sad note, we were informed that Ivy and her staff have relocated to Tennessee. :( we still enjoyed our time very much. My sister absolutely loves her manicure, great shape.Big thank you!! Hope to visit again!

Absolutely awful, my anc gel didnt even touch my cuticles. Every nail is crooked, its way too thick. I will now have to pay to have them taken off. Do not reccomend

Complete 180 since Ivy and Daniel sold the business. What was a clean, well run place seems haphazard and completely disorganized now. Everyone waited 45+ minutes because they overbooked. They couldnt find any of the basic colors I selected from the samples. Table seemed dirty. All the charm and friendliness was gone. My ANC manicure was okay but rushed because they were so overbooked. I do want small businesses like this to succeed, but they really need to take a look at what was working before Ivy left if they want to keep customers. Unfortunately, Ill be going elsewhere until then.

I feel happy today, the staff here was friendly. They have a little bit of problem with the English language in speech but Cindy and Peter did ANC and pedicures for me and my wife so well. We will come back again.

It was amazing when Ivy, kim and Daniel were there but they moved away. My last set of Anc from Daniel lasted 5 weeks. I went back since the new people bought it and within days one broke and i went to fix it and there were 3 colors that looked the same so i just picked a different color since they had to redo all of them because they were done wrong. I was charged for them fixing them even though they did the anc wrong. I was charged 15 because i changed the color. Um because i couldnt match with the old color and they already wrapped them before they gave the me the color swatches. Now its been a week and another broke. I wont be going back ever again. Time to find somewhere new.

Where do I start?! The staff is incredibly kind and efficent. They really care about you as the customer. The pedicure was amazing. The lady who did my pedicure went above and beyond, she selected a better color because the one I chose was too thin. She took the time to really rub my feet and make me feel pampered. The lady who put on my tips created the exact shape I wanted. My nails were expertly filled because the staff checks their work and even asks you a few times if you are happy with what they are doing. Ivys prices are completely fair for the quality you get. So anyone who knows me knows I am very particular about my nails it has taken me a lifetime to break the habit of biting them and using acrylics lol. I moved to Troy from Albany about a year ago and have been traveling about 30 minutes every couple of weeks to get my nails done at the place I have been going to for years, I am a single mom with children so that isn’t always the most convenient for me so I decided to take a chance and look up some nail salons in my area and Ivys was at the top of the list so as I scrolled through the reviews I said hey why not! I never step out of my comfort zone and she’s right around the corner from me so I called made an appointment and as soon as I walked through the door I was seated! My old place always makes me wait even with an appt! I got my usually which is ANC over my natural nail. First let me say I love the process they have for removing the ANC! Most places do the soak removal first and than drill off the rest which leaves your nail burning and them taking layers from the natural nail! Her process is drilling off layers of the ANC first and than soaking off the last couple layers. I love this process bc your nail bed is not being drilled to death! So that was the first thing I noticed and appreciated!!! At first I was hesitant and was like umm aren’t you gonna soak my nails cause I know you not about to drill my nail bed to death!!! Once she explained the process to me and I went through it I was like oh wow I didn’t even feel the drill at all! Anyone who gets ANC knows what I’m talking about when I say they drill your nail to death lol!!! Second thing I loved was the conversation the women who owns the place is very Americanized and is an amazing people person! My old tech I was with for years and we never had one conversation! Last and most important my nails look amazing and I love them. The women who did my nails shaped them beautifully and TOOK HER TIME to make sure my whole nail was covered with ANC. I always have issues bc most places are very Stingy with the product and only dip your nail a couple times which ultimately makes them chip away or break bc the product isn’t thick enough! At first I thought it was going to be to thick and my nails would look bulky bc she really dipped them! They did not come out bulky and they look amazing did I mention she took her time! Nails salons are businesses so usually it is a rushed process especially when your getting ANC on your natural nail! My last place only dipped my finger in the color 2 or 3 times and because I’m a mom and always doing dishes by week 2 my nails are brittle and the ANC is lifting! My nails usually last anywhere from 3 weeks to 4 and that’s pushing it to the limit. My nails are strong and ready for dish washing lol!!!! From my experience with ANC I know these will last without getting brittle or chipping the women did an AMAZING JOB!!!!! I will be going back to IVY’s going forward I am so happy I found this place! I’m trying to figure out how to upload a picture but I don’t see a place to upload!

Ivy and her staff are incredible. They work quickly and fill the time with enjoyable conversation. It doesnt matter who you get because every time youll have beautiful nails that last.

Always get a great pedicure here. Would get 5 stars but my manicures are never consistent. Sometimes my hands get soaked and my cuticles cut, other times they dont touch them at all. Sometimes I get lotion on my hands and a little massage, sometimes only one hand gets done, others not at all.Last time I was there I asked for her to cut my cuticles since she had started to apply the ANC without doing it - and she just quickly dry cut them. Might not be a big deal to everyone, but for me its one of the most important parts of the manicure.Other than this small detail, everyone is friendly and the space is very clean. Ivy herself is fantastic. Love supporting her business.

I was a walk in and haven’t been to a nail salon to get my nails done since moving upstate 5 years ago. Did a great job and super friendly! I wish I could remember the guy who did my nails name but he was so nice! If I ever need my nails done again I’ll be back. Even if I live in Schenectady. 😃

I came in as a walkin this morning bc my regular shop decided not to open on time. 😩 I needed a fill on my acrylics.Ivy, the owner,was super nice n welcoming when I walked in the door n seated me right away with Kim. Kim was sooooo sweet and very meticulous with my nails. I had a couple of broken nails and she fixed em up perfectly. The end result was gorgeous and so far the best set Ive received since moving upstate. She really focused on my cuticles and I appreciate that. The shape was perfect and the polish wasnt too thick which I always struggle with at other places,.The shop is super cute n I will be back! Thank you ☺

Updating my review because the one I previously posted was getting old and Id like everyone to know how amazing Ivys continues to be. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Fair pricing, very clean facility, VERY accommodating to scheduling and everyone is so extremely nice. I recommend making an appointment to make sure you get in without a wait- but any wait is worth it because you get quality work THAT LASTS!! I get ANC every two weeks and Missy has killed it every time. She is very particular about how her work turns out and isnt afraid of spending an extra few minutes perfecting everything for you. The first appointment I made I was told I would be in and out in an hour, maybe a little longer and I was able to leave in under that with AMAZING nails that lasted until I was ready for a color change and probably wouldve lasted longer. Went in for a fill only because I wanted to shorten the nails and change my color... Not one issue with chipping or falling of like Ive had in the past at other shops. I LOVE this salon and tell everyone who asks to come here. Im so glad Ivy came around when she did and continues to kill the business.

I was able to get an appointment very quickly at Ivy and the woman that I spoke to was very nice. The location was clean and convenient to get to. I also thought that the woman that did my nails was nice. Unfortunately, I was not happy with how she did the ANC manicure. Sometimes when you get ANC, the technician applies so much powder that it makes your nails appear dome shaped. This happened here. I repeatedly told her it was too thick, and she made them a little thinner, seemed a bit annoyed by my request, but they were still too chunky for my taste. The photos dont truly capture it, but even by the cuticle they were very thick. Ive gotten ANC a lot so I know its possible to make them not dome shaped. At the end of the appointment she kept asking if I liked them, and at this point I did just say they were fine because she said there was nothing more she could do. She was nice enough to tell me if any of my nails broke because she thinned them so much that I could come back to have them fixed. Many picture reviews online did not appear dome shaped, and it looks like the owner did them. If going here, Id probably recommend booking with her!

I’ve been going to Ivy to get my nails done for a few months now and have no complaints. I’ve gotten my nails done by everyone in her shop and I can assure you that everyone is a safe bet. I’m very meticulous about my nails and they’ve made me happy ever time. The only reason that I’m writing this review is because I had a last minute event to attend and I didn’t schedule an appointment soon enough, so I went to a salon in East Greenbush and I completely regret it. I would prefer to have bare nails than this rushed job. I am now a faithful customer to Ivy.Tips:-Even though online says that walk in’s are welcomed it’s in your best interest to just call and schedule your appointment to avoid the disappointment of finding out she booked for the rest of the night.-If you call and she doesn’t answer that most likely means she’s on the phone booking another appointment so give her a few minutes and call back.Love Ivy Nails!
