Jonathan takes his time and will have you leaving with a very fresh cut. Prices are fair and it’s very convenient how you can book online. I’ve never had to wait for an appointment.

And I can honestly say my man does a hell of a job never been disappointed always been very respectful and professional. And I think that my man is a good fit for the crew at Empire. Our flight got delayed and I needed a haircut. Normally, I would never cheat on my barber out of fear of a bad haircut.. from past experience. Jonathan had good reviews so I waited an hour for him. The wait was well worth it! He did an amazing job and was $5 cheaper than my own barber! I tipped $10. Great barber!

Was in the area looking for a barbershop, google suggested empire so I thought hey why not. I was looking to get a buzz cut and beard trimmed. Mind you a beard is a very delicate situation. I was greeted by Ali and a few other barbers, which they had beards themselves. Friendly and family atmosphere. Has about 7 chairs. I sat down with Ali and told him what I wanted. After all was said and done I was satisfied. I will be going back.

*RINGWORM* Worst babershop in tampa, went there a year ago and the babershop gave a haircut without cleaning the clippers and gave me a bad ringworm infection, keep in mind it was a year ago and up to this day it comes and goes, unfortunately couldn’t file a lawsuit.

I visited Empire Barbershop for the first time today, I was warmly greeted and I received VIP service! The vibe here is great and all of the barbers from what I seen are definitely Master Barbers!

They just lost a regular. The barber at the far right end with a hat and tattoos who was “my barber” totally botched my fade. He was in such a rush it was hardly surprising in hindsight. I texted him with a picture telling him he messed it up, instead of offering to fix it and apologizing, he just replied that I f’d up..wow. How? By letting you cut my hair? Guess you’re right. Feel extremely disrespected. I wouldn’t mind going back to see the other barbers but I don’t know what might happen if I see this punk. Rush job. Terrible and uneven fade. No accountability. Extremely bad customer service.

Its a little unassuming at first, just a barber shop in a strip mall. I have been going to Gonzos sandwich shop right next door for a few years and decided to check it out today. I am very glad I did! Every chair except one was filled when I walked in so I was seated right away. There was a steady stream of customers the whole time. That tells you something right there. Everything about Empire is great. The attention to detail, the sounds of a true barbershop (not a salon), the bantering back and forth about a host of issues including the presidents speech on TV. My barber really made sure that I got the cut and beard trim that I wanted. I will definitely be coming back! Great job fellas!

Went in for a trim and got a full hair cut instead (got charged for a full haircut too, so he knew what he did). Guy who gave me a haircut did a good job, but was definitely not what I wanted. Now have to wait a few months for it to grow out again, pretty annoyed about that.Also, what place in 2017 still only takes cash? Had to walk across the street to get to an ATM to pay.Bottom line, if youre a guy with short hair who goes in to maintain their hair line, then great place. Otherwise, stay away.

I was there when the owner got into a fist fight with the guy next door. I was there when they were talking about the back yard boxing stuff. I was there a lot is what I’m getting at. I got totally ignored today. I’m talking more then an hour and I was the last person waiting. I even asked a barber as he walked by. I get that some barbers had appointments but I know 100% that the guy they let go before me didn’t have an appointment. Guess they don’t care about their Latin customers anymore. A la chinga.Do yourself a favor. If you don’t know anyone who works there just go down the street to the Supercuts. That’s what I did and I don’t regret it.Or you can roll the dice and hope I dunno the guys working there decide it’s your turn.

I have been going to Joe for about 5 years, but all the barbers are good. This is rare to find in Tampa. Every time I go I am highly satisfied with my haircut. I am black, but they do well with all hair types. This is a shop that if you blink you will miss, but you will be hate that you did. I am a weekly visitor to Empire. Check it out

Place is awful there’s one good barber in the whole place and if you want him ur wait is prob around an hour. So tried someone else and he pushed my hairline back to the 60’s

Joe is the man, and is living his dream. Ive known him for a few years from letting him cut my hair. His dream was to open up his own shop, which has now been a dream come true. I never really set an appointment with anyone specific because ALL the barbers at EMPIRE have so much talent. So with my busy schedule I just usually go in as a walk in and come out with a 5 star haircut. I also recently had them do a straight razor shave on me, which was awesome as well. The environment is always full of energy and the barbers are always talking about something thatll make you laugh. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxed environment, no crazy prices, and a fresh clean cut.. . ohhh and on weekends they may just offer you coffee and bagels.
