After a not so good experience with the jewelry store across the street, namely not honoring their word on a price we were promised, Zales was a breath of fresh air. We found the perfect ring and experienced the best customer service Ive seen in a very long time. Ms. Evelin (sorry I spelled this wrong) was simply a remarkable person and went out of her way to ensure we got the ring that was right for us. Would gladly give this place more stars if I could. We ended up getting an amazing deal, a way better ring, and a happier experience than we would have had from the store across the street. Thank you again!

Elvie and I had an immediate connection, talking about Ocean View and the places there we visited, good food, the old amusement park, etc. I was looking for a specific ring that her store did not have. Elvie made a call to another store and had the ring sent to her. I love my ring, and I asked Elvie for two business cards I could share with my friends. Elvie is a great ambassador of your store and its products.

Dont get a zales credit card they start you off with a high credit limit and evertime you pay it off they drop the credit limit

The team there and manager Made it a great experience and had tons of options for jewelry and engagement rings, only suggestion is is extremely inconvenient for people to think you are open until 7pm but to be told you close actually at 6:30. I wish that would be adjusted on the times on google so it’s accurate. It takes me typically 30 -40 mins to drive to the location and would have saved me a trip.

Im extremely upset. I had bought my fiance a ring and they told me to come back in 2 weeks to get him sized. I thought it was odd I had to come in 2 weeks instead of getting it done that day. We went back 2 weeks later and got his ring size then they tell me I have to come back in another 2 weeks. So 2 weeks pass and I had gotten an email an hour before the mall closes and my fiance and I rush to get the ring before it was to late. I go in to find out that the people repairing the ring messed it up and I didnt even get a phone call saying that the ring was there and it was messed up. Im extremely upset and so is my fiance. I wish I had a phone call at least instead of waisting my time. They told me I could wait for another ring but it would take 6 to 8 weeks. I had waited long enough for the ring in the first place. Im extremely unsatisfied.

Very disappointed I was told I would have my ring in 7 days when I purchased it. Then I was worried I would not have the ring for my 20th wedding anniversary togive to my wife. The lady working in the store assured me I would have it and not to worry about COVID-19 it would not affect them closing . Guess what that was 2 months ago.... I feel like I was told what I wanted to hear so they can make the sale. Well when they open I wont be picking the ring up I will be getting my ring back. $1500.00!!

Our experience was great with Zales. My ring I purchased had to be sent out to be resized and my husbands ring is being cleaned. We were helped by the manager who was very kind and patient in answering our questions.Please note- I still state my experience was wonderful. But ALWAYS have a back up and trustworthy jeweler to have any stones appraised to be sure you got your moneys worth. In some cases that is a concern with big chains like this. But I will continue to shop here!

If I could give less than one star I would. This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. The reps seem to both have customer and then the vendor cleaning watches was very quick to tell me that I needed to wait. Then when an extra associates decided to come out from the back she didn’t not even take the time to ask who had been waiting... (20 plus minutes at this time) and proceeded to help the couple that just literally walked in the store. I honestly will never shop In this store again and I will ensure that I tell everyone I know about this horrible experience.

The ring I had restored was purchased over 30 years ago. A diamond was lost and prongs needed to be replaced. Zales, as usual did not disappoint! I expressed to Jocelyn that the ring had an enormous amount of sentimental value, and to please help me restore its lustre. Not only was the lustre restored, but the ring was finished just in time for my mother and father’s 53rd wedding anniversary! Zales is ALL that. Happy customer here ☺️👍🏽

Ms G spent around an hour with me just to make sure I was satisfied. It even ended with me getting the final product at another store that was closer to my home. I know shes not getting a dime from helping me but went way above and beyond for the sake of the company and not just to make a quick buck. Thanks for meeting me where I was instead of trying to take advantage like some other places we talked about.

Great customer service!! My partner and I decided to get married and go select an engagement ring together. I found by one I reallly liked at Zales but wanted to check other stores to be sure. While I was wandering the mall my partner secretly went back and bought the ring so he could surprise me with it later. When I decided to go back to Zales it was, of course, gone. The staff really played it up, ”oh maybe I put it back in the wrong spot, let me check” etc. Thanks to their prompt service and really playing along partner was able to pull off a surprise ”proposal” on the beach with the ring. And I am very grateful to the staff here.The ring is of course also lovely, not the usual engagement ring but just my style. We had to get the ring resized. They said it would take two weeks and it did exactly. There was also a small scratch in the ring that they fixed when getting it resized. All around, I am a very happy customer. :)

My husband and i have been married a little over a year and have had soooooo many issues with his ring... have talked to so many people and have yet to get his ring issue resolved yet.... ...so many details that it makes me so upset to have to go thru them again. ...but i want ever order anything else... just because it was an online order doesnt mean it should be treated any differently. If you cant resolve online issues you shouldnt be selling items ONLINE...

Doesnt open on time.

The workers ignore you when you walk up and take forever to help you. Its not unusual to have to wait 15-20 minutes for them to acknowledge your existence. The jewelery isnt good quality. My wifes rings have broken in half 4 times and they take a month just to fix it and typically the rings dont even last that long when we get them back. I would advise going literally anywhere else

This review is for this specific store at the Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News, VA. I have done business with Zales in a few California stores with nothing but good reviews but this one is different.I had found a ring online that was an online order only. I called to ask about engraving it and the lady said to go to a local store, order it with them and they will make an engraving order at the same time. That is what I did. Before I left, the store associate said she would give me a call when it arrived to let me know the ring was being sent to be engraved. I got an email confirmation saying the ring arrived but no phone call. I waited 2 days before deciding to call them. They confirmed the ring was in the store and was never sent to the engraver because they never saw a job ticket for one. So the ring didnt go out to be engraved until 4 days after it arrived. I was told they would call me when it was finished with a NLT date. The NLT date came and no phone call. So I drove to the store to find out it not only never came back but it was lost. After staying in the store for over an hour waiting to locate the ring, it was discovered that the engraver dropped it off at the wrong location. They dropped it off in the afternoon and I came back to pick it up when I noticed a pinky-nail size blemish that wasnt coming off. So they sent it back to the engraver and luckily 4 days later it was FINALLY ready.The store manager gave me 25% back on the ring cost and comped the engraving price because of the experience. That is the reason I didnt give less than 2 stars.I like Zales as a company and though I appreciated the compensation, I will never return to the Newport News location ever again.

They did not even acknowledge us when we were in the store. I dont know whether or not it was because we are young but it was completely unprofessional. Go to Helzberg diamonds instead.

I had my ring resized and they gave me a 1 karat back instead of my 1-1/2 karat I was forced to go to another Zales because the people there were so incompetent.
