Had to change my review due to a negative experience from ealier today. Took my son to get a haircut and came to Lady Jane right before closing time at 5:53pm on 6/12, to be exact. Yes, I know, thats only 7 minutes before closing time (and I dont feel very proud about that), but my son needed a quick trim, and nonetheless, we showed up during posted working hours. I was expecting the whole thing to take about 10-15min, be out the door by 6:10pm tops and leave a big tip for the trouble. But, we walked right into a locked door instead!After I knocked, a stylist eventually came out and was very rude and unprofessional, telling me that they take last appointment 30 minutes prior to closing. I asked why this wasnt posted on their store front, to which I got some more mean responses. Whats worse is that when I asked for the manager, someone came out who introduced herself as Emily and was even ruder than the stylist and lacked any professional courtesy or customer service skills (she also claimed that she was the owner of this location, but later said that its corporate-owned and not a franchise. Why lie?)Emily compared this experience as us showing up at a restaurant few minutes before closing and asking for food. Guess what, a restaurant would most definily serve and sell food, as long as the kitchen is operational...and many restaurants allow customers to stay way past closing time to finish eating and socialize, so this was a bad example by Emily.I also couldnt find this last-appointment-30-minute-prior-to-closing rule signage neither on the door or on Lady Janes website when I pulled it up on my phone. And, even if you have such a policy, why not just say that you close at 530pm instead of 6pm and take your last appointment at 530pm? Why mislead and decieve people with WALKIN ANYTIME written in giant letters on the window of the store and have your hours postes on Google Maps as being open until 6pm when you actually shut your doors way prior to that posted time?Very disappointed and will stay away from LJ and will share my bad experience with others. Hope youre happy to have lost customers.

1st and last time never been to this place before Called an hour ahead of time told me to come in around seven got there at 7:20 and told me walk in has priority so therefore I can get a haircut the rest of the day and booked with nobody else Monica, who I spoke with on the phone was kind of arrogant about telling me it should just be standard to know you’re not gonna get a haircut if you come late and so I told her what’s the point of booking an appointment if walk-in’s will have priority! as I was leaving she was laughing with a guy who was just walk in to get a haircut looking at me at the front window laughing WOW! would never come here again! Tried to reason with her and told her I drove across town to come there!

Havent had a decent haircut in years but I think I finally found a great spot. Appointments are definitely recommended because they can get quite busy. Appointments > walk-ins

Excellent experience for myself as well as my son (12) today. She was very patient and detailed oriented. In fact, she spent a little extra time on me to get it just the way I wanted. And the hot towel neck shave was A+++I appreciate being treated as a customer. You see, great clips wants you out the door in 15 minutes. However, lady janes will spend the extra time needed for customer satisfaction. Tip your stylist if she does this!

Been going there going on three four years or since it open what day the other day signed in never acknowledged me for 45 minutes I walked out the door I wont go there again very poor treatment never again will go there

I’m 25 and love barbers who can realistically style, and fade sides, properly.I’ve yet to find a barber who can texture, or a stylist who can’t fade. Until now. Simone in my opinion and experience is one of the most talented, professional, funny and charismatic barbers / stylists I’ve ever came across. Any business in this field should consider themselves lucky to have a barber / stylist who does such a quality job when it comes to cutting, shaping, or styling men’s hair.Simone is the entire package. He has autism and there was something about this place that made him relax. He was so calm throughout the whole haircut! Worst managed place!. I had an appt. last week, power outage. They told me they would call to reschedule. Never did, they closed for the day, Power was back on after twenty minutes.They told me that they would call to reschedule. Nobody called, I called l back this Week & scheduled appt. for today. They lost it.This after I checked in on their computer and waited 35 minutes, This has nothing to do with the virus, They are just managed by incompetent managers.

Went to get my toddlers hair cut who sits still and didnt realize how awful it looked until we got home. Its very choppy and barely cut anything off. Spent $16 for a job I could of done.

Kimberly was awesome! She definitely knows what she’s doing. If you’re like me and you’re not really sure what you should do with your hair shes your girl. She convinced me to get my eyebrows waxed for the first time and she nailed it. No feminine arches but no more straggling hairs. She’s turning nickels into dimes!

Lady Janes is always a Good experience and if it isnt just wait 2 weeks and go back.(Lol). Anyhow my Stylist today was Kimberly and she was a great stylist,conversationalist in fact. I was so into our conversation. I forgot to have her use the straight razor for the back of.my neck. (Which is the main reason I started going to Lady janes cause they still do that). Normally I have a great experience here getting my haircut by Sebastiana. She always does a fantastic job. Unfortunately today (9/15/19) was a different experience. I walked in an had a 45 minute wait before leaving out of frustration. Three stylists there and nobody could have moved any slower. Looks like I might be looking for someplace new.

The stylists take their time and get the details right, good things are worth waiting for. You can also just make an appointment. Kim not only does an outstanding job with my cut, but she can hold a pretty lively conversation. If youre looking for a solid place to add to your routine, I highly recommend Lady Janes.

I’ve gotten the same haircuts for $6 at Supercuts. Didn’t even bother getting the hair off face or shirt... which I don’t even know how the hair got all the way down past my chest. Super uncomfortable when they verbally ask you if you want to add a tip. Hell no I didn’t want to add a tip but now I felt obligated. $20 for this... crazy

Ive been going to Lady Janes of Carrollwood for about the past 3 years and Ive had some really great stylists throughout my time there. For the past 5 months, Ive had Cassi as my stylist. And during this time Ive had 2 very radically different hair styles (changed from one to the other). Cassi nailed them both and continues to do an awesome job each and every time. She is easy to work with and really does her best to understand her clients needs or wants. Not sure how to describe what you want? Just show her a picture. Besides being a rockin stylist, shes just a super cool person rockin her own style. I enjoy seeing and talking to her every time.

I have been a couple times to this location and I am pleased with the services offered and performed. I dont usually choose a specific stylist, however I have decided to use Janessa regularly now. I also look very nice afterwards and recieve many compliments on my cut and beard trim.
