1st time walk-in visitor. I think most of the barbers were by appointment, but Rey was awesome. Took me right away. Huge space inside. I think some of the barbers even had private rooms. Definitely would go back.

It was good, got a beard trim. Missed cleaning up my neck, I had to handle the straight edge myself because he didnt know how to dry shave and nicked me

I was a walk in and they were solid about it and everyone on the way out was sharp but if you have long hair and want it cleaned up but still long, they weren’t any good. It seems like they’re only expertise are fades and short hair cuts.

Best barbershop Ive been to. This place is cool, laid back and they have a really good selection of barbers. Ive done a walk in a couple of times until I found my barber but now that Ive found the one that I like, Ill keep going back to him. I use Tony but Ive seen good results from all of them. Tony does a great cut. Prices are pretty typical at the $20 mark not including tip but they do range depending on who you use or what you get done. They take card but prefer cash. If youre looking for a barbershop in Tampa, this is your spot.

4 star for the shop because it was clean and had a lot of space. However the barber did not do a good job on my husbands hair for $30.

Love this barbershop. Came to see Spencer and he did an amazing job. Cleaned up my beard, shaped my brows, and did an amazing job on my fade. Professional, skilled, and funny guy. I was very scared about coming here...As a new person who has never been here I did not know what to expect...My main concern was finding someone who would not mess up my sons hairline...Bad experiences with barbers and that same problem had me thinking about where I could go that would satisfy my needs of finding that barber who can hook it up. Zack did a great job on my sons hair and I ain’t going to lie I was expecting alright work but when I seen my son I was blown away looked way better than I could have imagine.

I have been coming to Westside barbershop for over 3 years now to get my hair cut and beard trimmed. You should ask for Jose - he is a phenomenal Barber. He will listen to your needs and give you a haircut accordingly. Most importantly, he will point out and confirm with you if you want something that will eventually not look good on you. Other guys at the shop are great as well - overall the environment at the shop is light, fun, reasonably priced, courteous to customers and professional.

This barbershop has a nice minimalist atmosphere and it’s great. I walked in having no appointment and was in the barber seat right away. Jonathan is a master at his craft. You can tell he prides himself in how his customers look. The amount of detail and time he put into my haircut was very appreciated. If you go there ask for Jonathan!

First time trying this barber shop after reading multiple positive reviews on google and being new to the Tampa area. Went as a walk-in and was taken right away. After getting home, I wasn’t completely satisfied with my cut as it wasn’t blended well and looked sloppy. I called the shop and spoke to the owner Rob who was super professional and said to come back and he’d take care of it. Rob personally took the time to fix my hair and after a few minutes had it looking great again at no additional cost. As the owner of the shop, I respect him taking time out of his booked schedule to make sure I was completely satisfied with my haircut and because of that I will definitely go back. Came because John started cutting here. Hes always been an excellent barber and the service at Westside was great. Nice atmosphere and clean. There were only one or two waiting during my cut so the ratio seemed decent for staff/customer. Ill be back for my next cut soon.

Rob took care of me after another barber gave me a less than stellar cut. He greeted me once I walked in the door, made friendly conversation while he worked and clearly communicated with me to find out exactly how I wanted my beard styled. Got me in and out on a Friday afternoon. Highly recommended.

Westside barbershop is a really good spot to get a hair cut. I have been getting my haircut from Jose for almost 2 years now. He can do anything from a simple line up, to fades, and comb overs. Get his number after your first cut and make an appointment and youll never have to wait. Always good talks around the shop about sports. Overall a 9/10.

I agree with the positive reviews on this shop. As the owner and Publisher of one of Tampas biggest and favorite magazine we voted this shop BEST barbershop after visiting most of the shops in Tampa. The place is clean, updated and the barbers are all skilled. Not to say you cant please everyone but to say the shop is ghetto which is a racist term as far as we are concerned is just hateful. The fact that the shop brings in our local city officials, local celebrities, local sports athletes and coaches and the shop cuts hair for FREE at times for under privileged kids, shows why it was voted the BEST barbershop in Tampa. I think the people that made comments about smelling weed in the shop was so far out there it was laughable and ridiculous. As far as the woman posting worst hair cut she ever had, we find that odd since they dont cut womens hair. Rough talk? Its a barbershop people filled with mainly men! So a few words may slip here an there! Bottom line it really is the BEST barbershop in Tampa. Try it out for yourself!

Too hard to find a good barber in this city. I’ve been to many shops but west side barbershop has delivered my expectations. My barber was Alberto, he was right on time for the service. He understood my needs with a simple explanation. He was very patient while I told him my needs. His attention to detail was great. Just the hairstyle I wanted he delivered it. Haircut not finished and crappy shave. Not worth $45. Was never told it was cash only, even though I called and scheduled an appointment. Shop looks nice, but I guess its true, looks can be deceiving. I would not recommend this place if you want your moneys worth.

Id give 6 stars if it was an option. I didnt have an appointment but the wait wasnt too long, maybe 15 minutes or so. Im from CT so obviously Im not local, I didnt have a regular and I ended up with Jorge L. Wow, he was awesome. My hair was perfect and he trimmed my beard both with a trimmer as well as a straight razor. He was professional and spot on. He was the perfect barber. I am 47 years old and have had countless haircuts, etc. and in all honesty, Jorge was hands down the best of them all. The next time come to Tampa I will make sure to go see them again. I highly recommend Westside Barbershop and Jorge L in particular. That man is an artist.

No wait when I got there. My sons first barbershop hair cut! Told barber asked if I wanted to save the hair. Had toys to keep NY son entertained, made my son comfortable with him asked my son if he wanted to hold the clippers before he started to rid of fear. Will definitely be back! And accepts cards :)
