Can you, please, tell me if this apartment complex is wheelchair accessible? I would like to rent! But I cannot find any info if there is any wheelchair access around the complex and if I (as a wheelchair user) can access the apartment itself? Are there apartments on the first floor or elevators in the buildings?I tried to contact you via email and forms on the website but have never received any reply since spring.Thanks in advance!

The absolute worst apartment complex/student living in all of Tallahassee. Please do not waste your hard earned money living here. When I moved in two years ago they gave us an apartment that was disgusting, filthy and with most of the appliances not working or with major issues, ice maker didn’t work, dishwasher leaked water all over the floor, garbage disposal didn’t work. Maintenance took forever to do anything and half the time when they “fixed” something it would break again the next day. At one point the ceiling was leaking and they had to replace half of our floor so for 4 months we had exposed concrete as our floor. In total payed around 500 dollars on late fees and the first instance wasn’t my fault since there was a problem with the routing number for my account and they still forced me to pay the 200 dollar late fee. The gym was horrible most of the equipment is very old and not stable, at one point the ceiling in the gym came down and we weren’t able to go to the gym for over 2 months. Living here stressed me out so much and I wouldn’t wish that type of stress and financial pain that the management caused to anyone. Please please please don’t live here they will rip you off every chance they get.

Definitely make sure you see Mark when checking the place out! Gave me a great tour and explained everything in details. Hes a great problem solver and I cant wait to live here :) The staff is also super friendly and helpful! I also heard 2 current residents speak highly about maintenance and activity events.

The Location is good. But the building itself do not worth the price. They hardly do maintenance or renovation asides from the pool area and the Apartment office. Roaches are problems and they had this Lady Manager who wouldnt hear you out. Always likes winning. If you dont like Roaches. This is not the best place for you

I have lived here for almost 2 years now and can honestly say that I have never had an issue. They are great with communicating in a timely manner, very friendly and always want your feedback so that they can improve! They sometimes have fun little food events where they kindly provide things like pizza, wings, and pie. Also Chris Cox is such an awesome employee! He is very knowledgable, kind and willing to help always.

If you only read the first sentence of this review, DO NOT SIGN HERE. I could go on extensively about all of the problems I have faced. For starters, none of the units look even remotely close to the model that you see on the tour. On move-in day, I stepped foot in my unit and my jaw dropped because of how false the advertisement was. That day we had to have cleaners come in and properly clean the apartment and had to file about 5 different maintenance requests for things that were broken or not functional throughout the apartment that was supposed to be move in ready. From there on out we have had our ac pump toxic chemicals into the air, refrigerator almost immediately give out, all of our appliances have had to be fixed, and now we have a termite infestation throughout one of the walls (they are physically eating through the wall and crawling out). I have been especially dissatisfied with my experiences with the property manager, Renee. As a paying tenant I should not have to endure being talked down to like I dont have the capacity to comprehend my own situation. She was slow moving to provide any assistance and almost angry to help us when our apartment was essentially unlivable. On the other hand, Gene and Omar, the two men who cover maintenance have been our lifesavers. They truly care about the safety and wellbeing of tenants and are truly the sweetest. Luxury student apartments? Claiming that should be illegal.Update: Chris from the front office has also been extremely helpful throughout my experience at the Venetian. He has been very prompt to assist and understanding with any needs; I am super thankful for his work with me and my roommates.

I was considering moving to Tallahassee and have heard nothing but good reviews about the Venetian so I went to check it out, and Frenchie was absolutely the best leasing agent there is! She answered all of my questions, and was super helpful. That girl deserves a raise! :)

Best apartment complex ever! Lived here for 2 years with my friends and never had any problems. Eugene and Omar are the best maintenance men ever. They know what they’re doing and always say hi to me with a smile. Fixed a clogged sink in less than a minute!

(9/12/18 Update):The Venetian will take advantage of you. We were moved into a unit that had a leaking A/C unit. That A/C unit had been leaking for so long that it caved in the flooring underneath it! Their solution is to blow fans on the walls to dry them out, replace the A/C Unit, and fix the flooring underneath it. This is despite knowing that this is a danger to us, and really the damage is likely more than just under the A/C unit. Again, it was enough liquid to CAVE IN THE FLOOR. There are areas of the Living room like this as well, that are likely to go unaddressed. I feel so cheated as I sit here in my room with a fan that is 65 decibels. What a luxury student living experience. 🙄MOVE IN:Far from ideal. They said we would be receiving $500 gift cards and $300 for new tenants and whoever recommended us. At first we heard we would get them upon move in. We moved in early, and were told we would get them on the standard move in date. Now we are being told we wont get that until October! Shame on your deceptive sales tactics. I should have known better. Especially jumping from my old lease that was $329 a month to this overpriced $529 a month. So far it is not worth it.The Venetian is no different than any other student living around here. Only problem is they advertise themselves as luxury living. Well, heres some photos to show the luxury lifestyle you get with a Renovated Room. Their move-in checklist online doesnt allow for more than 20MB of photos attached. Luckily, Google has nearly limitless amount of storage. Since they dont want my photos privately, here they are publicly. ✌🏼 Here are all of my move-in photos of various parts of our apartment. Keep in mind..this is the RENOVATED APARTMENT. Some of these issues, such as the closet and the bath tub stopper have been known about by the management for almost a month, but have not been fixed. Others are just unacceptable for a luxury experience in a renovated room.

I have had a pretty good experience with The Venetian! The location is great for the price and the units are very big as well. I love the fact its all inclusive now and I really feel im getting the most out of my money here. I see a lot of pest issues in the reviews but if you are an informed resident here you would be aware that they have a weekly pest service who comes in to fumigate if you would like! They also have a good amount of community events and good amenities. They have pretty good unit options and the staff is incredibly friendly! I wanted to specially shoutout out their maintenance! I am gonna be real if it weren’t for Eugene and Omar I probably would’ve moved out already. They are always are so prompt with my maintenance requests and are really friendly. They replace everything in a timely manner and are truly the reason the venetian has one of the best maintenance in tallahassee. I really am appreciative for everyone in this community. Also Mark from the front office is an awesome team member, he was a big help when I had questions about leasing and my unit and goes above and beyond! Big thanks again to Eugene, Omar and Mark from the front office !! And shoutout to the venetian for being my home for the last two years!

The maintenance men are great! If you have any problem at all they are so quick to fix the problem! Omar and Eugene are so helpful. You literally see them driving around the all day on their golf cart making sure everything is fixed and running properly!

Probably one of the worst spots to live in Tallahassee. When I moved in I was promised wood floors with my renovated apartment. There was no wood floors. Just old, dirty carpet. I was paying more in rent for the other renovated style apartment. Yeah right. They try to scam you any chance they get. My move out statement was ridiculous, during a pandemic these people are really money hungry and want to prey on low-income students during this rough time.

Chris has been super helpful with my moving in experience and made it a smooth transition for everyone.

I moved in for my third year at FSU and overall, it was a pretty decent experience. The Venetian, like most student housing, advertises itself as luxury, but realistically thats not something you get at this price point. I lived in a 4x4 and we definitely had our fair share of issues, but nothing unbearable. The apartments werent the cleanest or well-maintained, and we did deal with cockroaches for a few months, but maintenance was great about responding to issues when they came up. The only big issues I had were street and resident noise that sometimes kept me awake at night, and multiple car break-ins (my roommates window was smashed, and my car was broken into several times). I loved having a balcony, and the rooms within the apartment were nice and somewhat soundproof. I would probably still live here for the price if I werent graduating.

I love staying here! Since the moment I moved here, everything has been great! The neighborhood is pretty quiet, the amenities are great and the room sizes are just right. Only thing I don’t like is the fact that the computer room and study room aren’t 24 hours like they stated it would on the website. Other than that, I love it here. Alexis is great and he’s always willing to help !

The location and price was really wonderful. My only complaints were how loud it was and how dirty the hallways were, but I havent seen any other student living that was any better. The staff in the office were always really awesome and answered any questions I had. I really appreciated Alexis in the office who was very kind and helpful when I had questions about billing. He was very patient while I tried to understand one of the bills I received. Thanks, Alexis!

I love the Venetian! The staff is super friendly and helpful, you should ask for Chris he is awesome, he helps my roommates and I out with nearly anything we need. I would love if they had gates so I would feel better walking my dog at night. I love spending time at the pool but it would be great if there were more pool chairs because it’s a struggle to get one(everyone literally waits for people to get up when it’s sunny). Getting packages through the parcel lockers are super convenient. All around great apartment complex!

I’m moving out today after a year long lease with help from a nice gentleman, Alexis. He made it super simple after a stressful day of moving. The rest of the staff at The Venetian has always had the best whether for maintenance or at the main office. Although the apartments are a bit older they do replace the carpet and being in an awesome tv. If you’re looking for a place within budget where you won’t get robbed, this is it!

We went on a scheduled tour of the property, as we were looking at potential apartments for our college student. While the property was okay, the tour was not. The leasing consultant seemed to be preoccupied and rushing us. The consultant was even more rude when she couldnt be bothered with us, in the model apartment. She told us to just come out when were done, and she left. We asked her to pull some information, that we KNOW she couldve gone on her computer to pull up right away. Instead, she told us she would pull it later, and email it by the next day. A week later, no email and no follow up with us. Horrible customer service. When I contacted the manager about it, she offered no apology nor did she ever try to get me the information we never received. This staff needs training. Everyone who walks in the door should be treated as a potential resident, or a secret shopper. They dont know whos walking through that door! Shame on them. I can imagine how they treat naive, young college students.

Great customer service! I was looking for a housing solution and even though I decided upon another route, they were very helpful. I spoke with Mandy about scheduling a tour and she was very helpful and gave me lots of information. I highly suggest speaking with her if you appreciate a professional experience! The Venetian is a pretty average apartment complex but the workers are what make it great. Specifically, a girl named Amelia who constantly helps me out with all the issues that I have had and even recommended me to live in the townhomes next year which I am so excited for! Definitely recommend asking for her when you go in!

Disgusting units. The whole apartment I was staying in was rat infested. After making multiple complaints to the office nothing was done. The issue was taken care of months later and I was moved to a different unit because of how bad the infestation was. When speaking with the property manager Rene, she states how rats wouldn’t bother her if she lived there. Disgusting.

I love the Venetian! The people at the front desk are amazing! They are respectful, honest and try and help you out in any way they can. And if you really need something done in a timely manner then just ask for my favorite person Haley! She is the bees knees, she gets stuff done! The maintenance men are on top of their game, you don’t have to wait weeks for something to get done like at other places. And the floor plans here are awesome and they make sense! If you are new to tally make sure you give this apartment a go, you won’t regret it!

I’ve lived here for over 2 years now and I love it! With the new ownership, everything is getting done with efficiency and a sense of care and concern. With Chris’ help my maintence and package issues have been resolved greatly, and in a timely manner. The only thing I would like the company to consider is getting an entry gate. I would feel a lot safer with this feature! If we end up getting one I may even stay here for another 2 years ;)

I called and spoke with a young woman named Haley. She was an absolute pleasure to speak with. Polite, and SUPER friendly! Girl knows her stuff for sure! I had a TON of questions and she was able to confidently and accurately answer everyone of them. Not my usual experience dealing with college kids and it was a wonderful experience!

My friend and I went to take a tour of the Venetian Student Living and our tour guide was Alexis and he was great! Super funny, personable, and helpful. It make the experience much less intimidating and easier to understand. We even called back with a few more questions and he was equally as funny and helpful.

Living here is super convenient since it’s close to three bus stops and walking distance from the stadium and University Center. Very affordable and the staff is always helpful. In particular I’ve been helped by Amalie several times and she is consistently friendly and goes out of her way to help me.

I rate this place 4/5 due to maintenance (I had to repair my own toilet). Other than that, the highlight of my stay was Alexiss work ethic that went beyond being an employee. Hes human when it comes to helping tenants.

I am a very happy parent!!! My student loves living at Venetian Villas. As a parent, I love it too!! The office staff has always been very professional and helpful. The maintenance staff are great, they are helpful and quick to respond to any repairs you need inside the apartment. Whenever I am visiting, I always see employees on the grounds, keeping the place in good shape. The common areas are always so clean and well kept. I am so pleased with this apartment community, have never had a problem! It has been a pleasure working with the entire staff at Venetian Villas.

Had the best assistance today from The Venetian’s Alexis. From help with IT to simply borrowing a pen, he was the most courteous person I’ve endured today. Would love to continue my relationship with this place!

The apartment and location is great.... the maintenance staff is awesome! SOME of the leasing consultants are AMAZING!!!!! Always make sure you speak to the HIGHEST person when an issue arises. Refuse to speak to anyone else. If not you’ll end up furious. (i.e double charge). An issue that I had recently with them caused me to edit my review and give them one star🤷🏾‍♀️ I’m not sorry because they weren’t .

Although the rent seems very reasonable, the additional charges are very high - causing the total monthly expenses of living here to be equal to the more inclusive rents paid at much nicer apartments in the area. The utility costs are outrageous! Each of us in a 4 bedroom paid $75-$121 per month just for electricity! When I inquired about the electric/utility charge of more than $120 for a single month, I was told that was just what it was, and that there was no documentation that I could be provided to prove the charge, but that all roommates paid the same amount. For a 4 bedroom unit, a total of $480 per month for electricity? Ridiculous - especially given the fact that the apartment is always hot! The air conditioner sounds like a freight train! The internet is terrible - basically the speed of old dial-up!! New management is just as bad as previous management. After leaving the apartment for the summer, and without any notice to us, new management transferred my daughters bedroom to another roommate, and we ended up with charges for two rooms. When I called to try to correct the situation, the manager was rude and dismissive of our concerns. If you are looking for a nice place to live, with reasonable rent, and helpful, polite and responsive management - look elsewhere!

Both my brother and I have been a resident for about a year and a half now and this apartment complex has my full vote of confidence! Every apartment complex on Tallahassee offers the same basic amenities to a general degree. What sets this place apart is the attention the management staff gives the residents. The polite guys that give you the tour and sell it to you are the same way all the time. They are genuine and do everything possible to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The few issues we have had in terms of maintenance, were promptly taken care of. Id highly recommend the venetian villas to anyone looking for a safe and stress free environment.

I just finished signing my lease for fall and I have to say that the Venetian has the most caring and attentive customer service that I have ever experienced. Definitely ask to speak with Alexis, he helped me through the process and was just the sweetest person Ive ever talked to on the phone, there were some bumps in the road with my application and he helped with everything!!!

I previously had a fake review on here but this is an honest opinion. This place is average. No horrible complaints and not the most amazing place to live. The only thing about this is that our washing machines were trash. The model apartment did not really look like my apartment but its whatever. The water from the sink and from the kitchen and shower is not at all the best. When you run the water in a cup it comes out foggy. Using the water to take a shower completely dried out my skin and hair. I had to buy a filter to at least put on the shower head. This place is right next to a frat house? idk so you can definitely hear music from other buildings. People loved to blast that. When you put in maintenance reports they fixed it really fast so that was fine. Theyve been saying for the whole year that they were working on getting the studying area open later or 24/7 that never happened. appliances worked fine, and there is definitely not a cap on utility pricing. It will go over the 80 or whatever they said it capped at. And my roommates and I were never really home during the semesters.

The whole staff is always so friendly and helpful. Chris, Amelia, Miranda, and Alexis are always help my roommates and I whenever it is needed. Any problems are handled promptly. I am always greeted when in the the lobby and taken care of in a considerate manner. They are the best!

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! The staff and management are horrible, and will make any excuse they can to get money from you. The manager here has no clue what she is doing, any other staff member here would be more fit to do her job than she is. The Venetian is all about false advertisement, nothing is like they claim it to be. I find it hilarious that their website claims it is a luxury apartment. Everything is broken, the sewage came through all the showers and sinks. The staff is extremely under-trained and unprofessional, and do not care to make you feel at home. I constantly hate living here, and always feel unsafe. My (locked) truck has been broken into THREE times. Also, there have been home invasions that have happened while Ive lived here. Let alone how over priced this place is for the horrible living environment, for the same price you can find somewhere much nicer. I dread coming back to this place every single day.... please do not make the same mistake I did.

The facility is what you pay for for the most part. They made things sound better than they are when youre touring (internet/utilities mainly).
