Im not sure if its the terrible management or the pressure of the pandemic (or both), but my experience has been nothing less than terrible. Move-in was a mess. The apartment was dirty and extremely dusty (even though they said they had a whole team clean out the apartments prior to move-in day). There were dried droplets of paint on the floor, and the paint on the wall was easily smudged off with just a touch of the finger (there are strange white spots everywhere on the red walls). Roaches seem to love it here, as we found more than 20 baby ones on our first day. They provided us with a QR code printed on a paper that we were suppose to use to submit emergency work orders. I submitted about 3, nothing was done. When I came down to ask them about it, they told me to submit a work order through the resident portal. Then what is the point of using the QR code?? But by far, the worst problem weve had is with our fridge. On move-in day, we found so many roaches in the fridge and it was so dirty. The seal on the door also didnt work so we submitted an emergency work order through the QR code they provided. Nothing happened. And around a week later, after numerous questionings (they just told me they didnt know anything every time I asked about it), they finally created a work order for the fridge. Its not been a month and we still have not gotten a full-sized fridge. They gave us a mini fridge, which is not sufficing given the fact that both my roommate and I were aiming to cook. Weve wasted over $200 each in the month because weve had to eat out and buy unhealthy disposable microwave meals. All they promised us for this is a measly $25 gift card for each of us, AND WE STILL HAVENT GOTTEN IT YET. Each time we went down to ask for a manager, he is either in a meeting or not in the office. We had to have my roommates dad call in to get to the manager, but he didnt even an idea to where the fridge is!! Its been a month, and we have not been able to buy actual groceries. Terrible management. Please dont live here.
The Osceola and Renegade staff have been nothing short of wonderful. Our move-in experience was smooth and any issues we had on move-in day were taken care of with ease! I would highly recommend living here.
We moved into this apartment today and everything was not cleaned before we moved in. I have never seen a room is that dirty on the moving in day in my life. I am not sure why they sent out an email saying everything was cleaned and ready to go. The room smells weird, the refrigerator smells of urine and the mattress is horribly dirty. They must change this mattress. Very dusty and the vent screen is extremely dirty. Inside of the fridge is no joke. I had to take all pictures of damaged parts so that they can not lie about our room condition on our moving in day. Since they did not come to our room to check all these disgusting stuff we will need to clean a lot of things. They need to provide some sort of compensatory assistance as we will need to clean and replace most pre-furnished items. Very unprofessional apartment management.
Honestly if you’re new to tallahassee whatever you do don’t live in this place. I would honestly give it 0 stars if I could. My unit had no garbage disposal, the fridge didn’t produce ice, you can’t adjust the temperature of your unit so you’re at the mercy of the same temperature for the whole building. The AC system breaks down constantly and it would be boiling in my unit because the building had to keep letting the AC system unfreeze. Oh and not to mention how humid our unit was. Some days it would honestly be damp in there. There were only two washer and dryers for an entire floor. Oh and we didn’t have hot water for the entire month of January right when it was dropping into the 40F outside. We got a $100 gift-card but honestly that doesn’t make up for taking freezing cold showers for a month. Also the rooms are oddly shaped and if you don’t get the room with the walk in closet it basically just fits a bed and desk. For the price which is 700-800 you can live somewhere wayyyyy nicer. Avoid this place if you want to actually like where you live. Oh and the floor I was on every time I would walk in it would always smell like musk. Either from the super old building or dirty carpet. To give a better picture of how awful this place is. I’m actually going out of my way to leave a review to help others steer clear of this place.
Make sure you bring cleaning supplies, a wifi router, and roach killer when moving in. Be prepared to walk into a dirty unit and to clean it yourself before bringing your things inside. You will not have any wifi until you set up a router in your apartment. I’ve seen a few roaches in my apartment but dead because I brought roach killer with me when I moved in. Bring a floor fan if you won’t have AC controls in your unit. If you buy garage parking be mindful of where you park and what color the parking spot stripe is, they will tow your car without warning. Besides this, it’s close to campus, the internet is reliable, it’s quiet, and I get my own place for the price of a room with roommates at other apartments.
The place itself is OK but TERRIBLE management. Had a mold problem after I came back from vacation that lasted two weeks. I have informed Dakota about it and he did not do anything about the problem, he was always so evasive. I eventually got sick from the mold.
I was helping my girlfriend move into her new apartment, which wasn’t cleaned before she moved in. There is moldy trash outside her front door, which she has put in a work order for and still hasn’t been taken care of. The lawn care business that the Osceola uses damaged my car, which was parked in their parking lot. I went to the office to explain the situation. The manager closed his door and I was told that he’s “in a meeting.” I was offered no help from management, even though my vehicle was damaged on their property.
Dont live here. We moved in to a completely disgusting apartment (that still had food in the fridge/freezer) and a broken dryer. Two months later, our dryer got fixed. Then our washer flooded our apartment. Another time, our dishwasher started flooding too. Emergency maintenance called me back a WHOLE DAY LATER with an attitude. Broken glass everywhere. Parking is a nightmare. Overall bad experience and no compensation for it.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Lived here 2020-2021, dryer was broken for 4 months during the time I lived here. Dryer had ran out of oil so it was smoking and making a funny smell - called emergency maintenance because we werent sure if it was gas of some sort. We got concerned so called the fire department. Emergency maintenance showed up 2 hours after the fire department - just missing oil but then took another 2 weeks to fix the dryer. Huge cockroach problem - apartment was infested right when we moved in, apartment had not been cleaned properly before we moved in. Renovations mean a poor paint job with paint drops left on the wood floors. Wood floors also dont meet the walls which means bugs hiding in the walls. Moved in and the HVAC closet was covered in dust and the airfilter probably wasnt replaced in months. The gym has cockroaches too and theyre giant. I was given a signing bonus of $400 which was written in a contract I would receive the money within the 1st month of living there but instead I got it 5 months later. Do not live here please save yourself a headache!
This apartment complex has very friendly workers and great facilities! I love living across the street from the main Osceola building in the Renegade ! It is a great space for the price you pay. They constantly have drawings and events for residents to be involved in!
**EDIT**After living here a while this place still stands out as one of the best around town. The front office is always happy to help and actually care. The building is nice and well kept, they always make sure it is clean. The only downside of this property is the parking situation, as the towing company is useless. Other than parking, Id highly recommend this place as it is one of the best out there.******Cant beat the location. It is extremely close to campus and a bunch of other stuff. The staff and management really care and always go above and beyond. It is an extremely well run apartment complex and kept very clean/well maintained.
The workers at the Osceola are not helpful and act as if your problems are irrelevant to them. Parking is a nightmare, and even if you have paid for a parking pass there is no guarantee that there will be a spot available. They will not allow you to get your delivery unless they have sorted it, but they are extremely slow and stop sorting after 12 PM. They have claimed they are swamped with deliveries, but anyone who lives here can tell you that 90% of the time you walk by the office they are just sitting around and socializing. The office is excruciatingly slow in responding to messages/emails and sometimes they do not even bother to reply. The rooms are not especially nice and there are definitely better apartment complexes with larger units for around the same price. The stairwell is extremely filthy and constantly smells, it is embarrassing to have guests over. I would never recommend that someone signs a lease here and hope that the Osceola puts forth the effort needed to fix these issues.
I love this place! Ive bounced around the student housing communities but I think Ive finally found my favorite one. The manager was able to work with me on my move in date since I cant go home, and now Ill be able to move into my apartment without having to get storage (which if youve lived here while, you know is impossible). The staff is literally the most friendly and helpful group of people. So excited to finally move in!
Listen, if you live here and ever have any trouble, just ask for Dakota. He was SUCH an amazing help with something that was stressing me out, he took care of the issue quickly and efficiently and was every apologetic. He knew who I was when I called and didn’t need me to keep repeating my issue and was literally a Godsend. Dakota gets 5 stars!
This is an amazing place to live! It is a great location and the staff is always really friendly!! I have been very pleased with this experience, I wish I could live here forever!!!
If you have not checked this place out then you are missing out. The staff goes above and beyond to make your experience great no matter the situation. 10/10 in my book!
Edit: The water was out for over a MONTH AND A HALF before being fixed. No compensation on rent or anything was provided, just empty promises.Original rating: The hot water has been out for over two weeks. Management is dismissive. Their only solution was to offer me another unit for the duration of the problem- so Id have to either split everything up, or completely move apartments. Both of these were terrible solutions, but management doesnt care because this is just cheap student housing.
The Osceola is a wonderful complex under even better management. I love how helpful all of the staff is and they always do their best to address all of my concerns. I was always given the best treatment and I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to move to the area.
The amenities offered here are incomparable to any other place in Tally! The staff is great and so is the property. Everything is nice and clean, and the maintenance team is so quick to help. This really feels like a home away from home.
Incredible staff. Ultimate expression of professionalism. The business knows how to treat its costumers.
Great staff and a great Manager. A good place to be close to campus and Doak. The apartments are well maintained for their age.
I love the Osceloa! The staff is always so helpful and polite and the amenities are well maintained!
My son has had a GREAT experience here, it’s made it easy to renew here for the location and the affordable pricing!
My time living at the Osceola was the most efficient and carefree experience I have ever had while renting! Dakota and the staff were all very helpful and pleasant any time I had a question or a concern and Im sad to be relocating out of state because the staff and experience is definitely worth 5 stars (wish I could give more!) Thank you guys so much!!!!!!!!!
The osceola is a great place to live in Tallahassee, its walking distance from campus and has a bunch of apartment layouts to choose from. The staff have been nothing but kind and helpful to me, and took me on a great tour of the apartments when I was looking for housing. Plus, they always have complimentary events going on and their staff makes it a great time. If youre looking to live near FSU, this a great and affordable option! (:
This place is awesome! The staff is amazing 10/10 recommend!!
Do not live here, the entire building has a mold and air quality problem.
This place is the worst. The staff there took 3 months to replace a TV that was broken since my son moved there. The apartment had mold in the 2 bathrooms, and it was so bad that we had to buy and install a portable humidifier in them. I am taking my son out of there asap. The staff does not really care about maintaining a good environment for the kids. The couple of times that I went to visit, the place was always very dirty. Check the stairs, and you will see what I am talking about.
Really good price. Even better pool.
The amenities are great and were always clean. The staff has been very helpful, empathetic, and courteous with any concern I had. I am very sad to leave this property!
DO NOT sign the lease until you request them to add break-lease condition. They also change their payment convenience fees without notifying renter then charge them late fees even during COVID.
Amazing customer service! Thank you for all your help.
I’d recommend living here for sure. Super close to campus, it has a bus stop right outside the buildings, management is always nice, and all amenities are included. It’s also super quiet. I’ve loved it.
Lived here since the 21st. SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN. The ENTIRE building has roaches, although they claim this isnt an infestation, there are roaches crawling up and down the walls and doors in the hallway, baby roaches everywhere, there are even roaches in the gym. Not to mention, ALL of the air vents in my room were moldy and dusty upon move in, paint splattered on the floors and couch and mattress. This place clearly doesnt care and its evident by the insect problem, and the fact that they couldnt be bothered to even dust or clean my unit before I moved in.
Its what I expected out of an apartment. Furniture included, close to campus, and all that. Ive lived here two years and its been improving each year.
I lived at the osceola until I graduated. It was affordable, comfy, and had a really good maintenance team. The best part was not paying for utilities because Im forgetful lol. Great place to stay!!
I loved living here. Everyone is really friendly and there’s lot of ways to get involved in the community throughout the year. Close to campus and all the utilities included. You can’t beat it. 10/10
The staff is great and very helpful, the location and price are so convenient! I love that I can walk to school everyday including other food places all along call street. The amenities are awesome, definitely take advantage of the gym, pool and club house.
When looking into places to move The Osceola stood out the most due to the fantastic staff and the customer service they provide. I would highly recommend looking into this complex if you intend on moving!
Best apartment complex Ive ever lived at
Couldnt have asked for a better maintenance team and the new property manager, Dakota, is very efficient and helpful! Thanks for all you do for us!
I toured a day ago at the Osceola and the people at the front desk were so nice and welcoming. Their pool is super chill and love that it’s ocean styled. Kaitlin and Craig especially were super welcoming and answered all my questions. Will most likely sign either this week or next!
This place is great. Maintenance is fast. Awesome events some weeks like food and games and stuff. Live here.
The front office staff is really nice and understanding. I love having a private entrance and the 4/4s are so reasonably priced. The parking situation kind of sucks — I miss having my own spot. Overall good experience and I’ve renewed my lease for the third year.Edit: The work orders take forever to be completed so if you’re looking for speedy maintenance workers this isn’t the best apartment complex to sign a lease at. However I’d still recommend the Osceola for all of the other reasons mentioned above.
Great complex with a super friendly staff. They are always quick to handle any issues you may have and do their best to accommodate your needs. Would definitely recommend living here!
We moved our daughter in to begin her year at FSU. She was really excited to move to these apartments as she loved the layout. However, the experience was very short lived. The apartment had NOT been cleaned. It was gross. The shower head was disgusting. The grout around the bathtub was full of mildew and mold. The AC filter had never been changed. Dust and mildew was caked on all the vents throughout the apartment. We checked the filter in the AC closet and it had never been cleaned. The filter did not appear to even fit the unit correctly. The ice maker did not work and there was a leak from the freezer into the refrigerator below. When you opened the door there was a horrible odor.Of course the best was that we had to pay for an urgent care visit. There were very aggressive wasps inhabiting the stairwell and stung my daughter within the first five minutes of arrival. We were told by one of the representatives that there had been an issue with the wasps on another stairwell in another building. Obviously the wasps decided to inhabit another stairwell.Gum was stuck on the floor just under the couch. Ewe!Just advised today that my daughter does not even have a parking spot anywhere close to her apartment even though she signed early spring. At that time there were still many apartments open for rent. The other three roommates all have parking close to the building. She was told to come back next week! Wow.Am I impressed with Osceola? NO!
Great environment! The staff is welcoming and always plans nice events for the residents. Also, the location is convenient for school or just grabbing a bite to eat.
Very friendly and helpful office staff. The leasing manager Craig is AWESOME and very willing to help with any problems. Brooke, Chase, Nick and JP (Work in the office) are very nice and always help me with printing and mail. The maintenance staff are super fast with work orders and are very friendly. Dennis and Jason and Mike are the best!!
Lived in Osceola Apartments for a few months now and I genuinely love it. The rooms are spacious and my roommates have become some of my best friends. Being away from home for the first time, the space that I would eventually call home was very important to me and I couldnt have chosen a better complex. In addition to generally loving the facility, the staff members are extremely kind and always answer any questions I may have. David in the front office always seems to go out of his way to make sure that everything I need is sorted out.
Just resigned because I love living here. Fast maintenance, great events (usually with free food!!!), close to campus, and reasonable rent
The Osceola is a place to call home. It’s clean, well-maintained, and walking distance from the stadium. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Property Manager, Erin Strain was extremely accommodating and professional in assisting us with our move in process. I highly recommend! Thank you!
My experience here started with the wrong foot since day 1. I specifically asked for a unit on the first floor, and they promised me that, but got stuck on the TOP FLOOR. After that, the first time i came into my apartment EVERYTHING was trashed, like literally trashed, and management didnt helped us because “it wasnt their issue”. My AC broke down almost two weeks ago, management has not been up to par when it comes to handling issues different than fixing a lightbulb. If possible, look for other places because you will not be able to enjoy yourself and your time in tally while living here.
The Osceola Apartments are awesome! The property is right next to campus and chick-fil-a. They have really cool events and the pool is beautiful! They also include utilities in rent which is great because you don’t have to guess how much your rent is going to be each month. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and couldn’t be happier! Would highly recommend! :)
The Osceola Apartments is a great home away from home! Its safe and very close to campus. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Check them out; they are always willing to help!
I think a company that asks for students that have never even visited them before to give them reviews in order for promo at a housing fair too boost their review score probably has a lot of difficulty getting good reviews from their residents. I think it’s a cheap way to boost score and not an accurate representation of how the people feel that live there.
Great 24 hour amenities; the 4x4 floor plan is the best one. Love that utilities are included too. Management and staff are very friendly
I have lived here for almost 3 years now, its the best deal for a studio apartment that is close to campus. Clearly they are doing something right if I have continued to resign my lease. The office staff is always eager to help and attentive. Even when I have complaints or literally insist I have a package, they never lose their patience and are always very understanding, especially Jason. I only give it 4 stars because I have had my issues over the years like noisy neighbors, roaches (pest control is an option, but takes awhile to be effective), and not being able to control my AC. But overall, if you are looking to live alone and close to campus, still a great option.
I love this location! Great service and amenities!
Took management 4+ months to fix our washer and dryer, and their communication is beyond poor. They allowed a third party maintenance person to enter our apartment without advanced notice, which was beyond unacceptable. All they do is give excuses and never resolutions, and conveniently the managers are never in the office to answer our questions. Our apartment was filthy when we moved in. Out of 3 apartments I have lived in, this is the absolute worst. They sent an email this week begging for google reviews, and they ask for 5-star reviews at events (which they never provide enough food for residents), so not all reviews are genuine.
Best customer service around. Extremely responsive and responsible. Very kind and caring place. Very well maintained. High high quality. Highly professional and excellent management. I appreciate all!
This is a gorgeous apt complex. I shopped around a lot and this was the best choice! It was one of the only places that has everything included. The check in process on Saturday was so organized. They had several stations and at each station you got something done. Once we got the room, we realized the air wasnt on. The staff is so friendly and eager to help. They went above and beyond to resolve the issue - especially Summer. My son is very happy and I am at ease because I live 6 hours away. It is truly a worry free place - with security cams and all. I recommend this place to all!
The Osceola apartments have an awesome layout plan. The customer service is absolutely amazing! Ms. Moore is such a friendly and helpful staff member! She assisted me and my family when we needed help the most! I will definitely refer this college community to all college students!
I toured the Osceola apartments yesterday and I liked it a lot. the staff is prob the nicest people. the property manager took the time to come out and shake my hand when everyone else was busy. The property is really clean and the studio I toured was big.
The customer service has been great!
My brother is living there and just moved in. There has been some maintenance request and he being the timid little freshman would have me call the office and speak with the staff. I spoke to the manager about his request. She was very helpful and professional with the way she handled things. Erin went above and beyond and even checked in with him after the request was fulfilled. The maintenance request was handled in a timely manner and my brother loves living there.
Honest review. Was not given a gift card or reimbursement of any kind for writing this (Like someone said below). The layout of the 4/4 apartments worked out great for me. Having your own door in and out is extremely convenient. Gym is great. Pool area is fun. Management staff was always helpful and planned lots of free food events which was nice. Living on the first floor I had a slight problem with bugs but it was not a big issue. Two separate times I needed maintenance to come: 1st was dryer broke. 2nd fire alarm system was making noise. Both times maintenance was here within a couple days and fixed the issues. I dont usually write reviews but reading the google reviews led me to signing a lease here and I thought by writing this I can maybe help someone else out.
HelloI have been been trying to call to the office at least 20 times but no answer. I am still waiting for my rent refund, a total of $350. Why has it taken 2 months? To date, I have NOT received my refund, this is totally unacceptable. You guys have my contact info, I need you to call me to clarify this mess. I feel terrible for the students who may have to experience what I am experiencing when they move out.I need my refund as soon as possible. I have all documentation about my approved refund on email. Please expedite this process.Thank you!Fiorella Carlos Chavez
I lived at the Osceola and it’s a nice place. The managers are nice and professional and love their jobs. However, if your looking for a student apartment don’t live here. This is “off campus” living. Not student apartment. There’s a big difference. ANYONE can live here not just students. Your roommate can be anyone from a freshman to a 40 year old trying to relive college. There is a man who works in the office named David. He is not a nice person and is extremely rude. If any males ever feel harassed by him please report it right away. I really wanted to give this place a 5 stars but this worker (David) made me extremely uncomfortable while living here. Thank you.
I’ve lived here for 3 years and have had no complaints.
Overall it has been a pretty good experience at The Osceola. The thing I like is no utilities, which not many places do. If a place says theres a cap=youre paying a ton in utilities. This place doesnt do that even when I put the A/C on 67 all month. Staff seems nice and they give away food every once in a while too.
Great location! Theres a wide variety of rooms. The Osceola has great amenities and the front lobby area is always clean. The staff is very helpful and makes sure to help in a timely manner.
The staff is awesome at the Osceola they are always so friendly and helpful! The new manager Erin is so sweet and always responds right away when I need something done. I would defiantly recommend to live here too all of my friends!!!
I absolutely love living here! Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful! The property manager, Erin, even took time to sit down with me and help me figure out which apartment would work best for me and my budget! Definitely would recommend!
At first it seemed like a great place but once you move in you’ll have issues.1st, I lived in a studio (gold) and the bathroom door couldn’t shut, the toilet was in the way. The place must’ve been built in such a short amount of time because the layout was flawed.Second, noise issues. The walls are paper thin. You can hear cars driving by, people walking in the hallway, their conversation, the elevator, your neighbor’s phone calls, etc. EVEN CONVERSATIONS GOING ON IN THE STREETS and I lived on the 4th floor. It got to the point where it was hard to even sleep, there was always something waking me up at night.Apart from that, everything else was fine. I see a bunch reviews about roaches but not once have I seen roaches. I’m guessing the people who had roaches just were not clean.
Fantastic experience living here. The apartments are affordable and having the utilities included is a huge bonus compared to most places around here. The office staff is super friendly and willing to help with any problem, and the studio I live in is the perfect size for just one person, would highly recommend.
Just took a tour here, moving up to Tallahassee for the first time; so all I knew going into this, is that I wanted a place walking distance to campus. David gave a tour of the place, showing all the facilities that I would have access to. In addition he was very knowledgable about the surrounding area, and recommended restaurants that were also in walking distance, as well as many places throughout the city for me to check out when I move up here. The whole tour was very warm and welcoming thanks to the staff, and I cant wait to call this place home soon.
Nice place. But if you are looking for 1b1b, go somewhere else. Their bedroom is sooooo small. They make the living room nice furnished and dont post any picture of their bedroom on google map.
I am beyond excited to release with the Osceola! The staff is very understanding and awesome. Definitely a 4 star place, one thing is that I dont like that the suites doesnt have an elevator!
Really enjoyed the staff and 24 hour gym. Management seems to genuinely care about the residents.
Love it so far. The pool is awesome, and the gym saves me a ton on a yearly membership. Parking can be a bit tough, but its so close to campus that I rarely end up driving anyways
The Osceola makes me feel bad and boujee. Not only are their activities for the residents super fun and creative, but their pool looks like the one at the SLS in Miami. The service is super attentive. The gym alone looks like the mini version of the FSU Leach. Their manager, Kaitlin, is always a pleasure to talk to!
We are looking for a new apartment for our daughter and we found the staff to be helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! The grounds are clean and neat! We love the layout of the apartments! We think that we have found her a new home!
The Osceola is a great apartment complex with a lot to offer! Having easy access to a pool, gym and walking distance to campus would be difficult to find elsewhere. The staff is also incredible and very helpful when addressing problems!
Great staff and great amenities! I have lived here for a year and a couple of months so trust me when I say you get your moneys worth! Jimmy and Craig are my favs!
I stayed at The Osceola for about 8 months during my first year as a graduate student at Florida State. For the most part, I enjoyed my stay. As a graduate student, the undergraduate environment at The Osceola became irritating at times, but not too much to deal with. It can get very loud. The staff is generally very nice. I recommend staying here especially if youre undergraduate. The rent was reasonable and included utilities. Lastly, I did not like the parking situation; they must be improved it quickly.
I have been living here for a year and it is amazing! You cant beat the location and proximity to FSU campus or any restaurant. Also the Managers and leasing staff are very friendly and helpful!
Maintenance still playing catch up working diligently day and night. Security is being worked on and crucial for the safety an security of the residents. *IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING! OR get walked on.
I just moved in and I am happy to be out of the dorms. My place is close to campus. Prices are a little high for me but with the utilities all included, it is worth it. I dont like that I have to pay for laundry but I honestly cannot think of a better location with chick-fil-a down across the street. I am looking forward to the rest of the year.
Great place to live, great management and close to campus
I have asked and turned in complaints about the security of my self and the other residents. Yest the doors remail broken and we remain insecure if youre looking for security you may look elsewhere. They promised me since to have it all fixed and that was monthes ago and everytime I asked about they say Were working on it. But how hard is it to fix one door or keep it shut, place a note on it saying its out of order per maintenance and on the back side of it inside the building put a note saying do not use unless case of emergency fire etc. Sincerely, Anonymous.
Untrustworthy management. My apartment bathroom floated last year while I was out of town. They want me to pay for the fee of replacing the wood floors. I wasnt even in town and my room got damaged by stuff from the toilet for their facilities issue. But I wasnt even in town, how come its my fault? So, no comments, just expressing what had happened. Luckily I got a lawyer helped me, he said its a easy case since the fault is pretty obvious. The issue is still on pending. I will keep the result updated if there is any news.
I have lived here for about a year now and love this place! So close to FSU campus, beautiful 4x4 living space, the staff is great, and pool is amazing! Totally recommend living here
I love living here because everyone is so friendly. They have awesome amenities. The pool is so much nicer. They have a rewards program. And Ive met some of my best friends here.
Was at my friends apartment. I parked directly in front of his window because I knew that the complex was not friendly to people having guests cars there. Was there for less than an hour when a tow truck arrived. Didnt even attach to my car and demanded a bribe to leave or he would call the police. I bribed him and he left. Hey, you, Mr manager at the Osceola, you are a scummy business man with absolutely no soul or heart. All you care about is charging people, even your residents for parking and towing them even when you have dozens of spots open. You Should look into the scum you work with you heathen.
My daughter has rented an apt for 3 years there and this last year has been the worst. The property manager Erin promises to handle maintenance issues that they conveniently over look. If your student has any issues that require maintenance they do not rectify it. I personally sat with Erin and it has been two months and my student still has a bent bed frame. Now the air conditioner isnt working and they have yet to fix it. If I was a parent I would rent at a more reputable complex that actually follows through on their promises.
Just because you live here and pay rent here doesnt mean you can parking here. The lots are too small for five buildings so they give you the option of a parking pass for the fourth floor of the dark parking garage up the street, then if you park in front of your own apt you will be towed and have to pay $88. The apt owns the lot but allows the towing company to tow you because the apt complex gets kickbacks from the company. The other option is parking exclusively on the ground lot, which doesnt mean youll have a spot. You may find yourself at 2am parking at a more accommodating complexs visitor parking because you wont find any here! There are 8 visitor spots and no visitor passes given, so hope your parents never want to visit or want to have your boy or girl over. The apartment itself isnt much better. The floors here are so thin you will always here your roommate walking in the living room and if you walk across the floor too many time your downstairs neighbors will come up to ask you if youre playing basketball. The pool hosts many events that makes it as impossible to find a pool chair than to find parking.Good luck trying to have a relaxing tanning day on the weekend on the ground and it closes at dark. If you try to go to the pool after sunset you will be promptly kicked out.Oh and the neighborhood is just delightful. The brick building in the middle of the complex is not part of it, but has many unruly residents who will cat call you on the way to your car. No security here to make you feel safe either. Theyre too busy patrolling the pool. All this for over $600 a month can be yours!
Our daughter rents in the Suites section of The Osceola for the last year. First they accommodated her for an early move in under as is stipulations for the apartment her and her roommates specifically wanted. We knew what as is meant and expected to do some cleaning (even bringing a carpet cleaning machine). The unit was a complete wreck. The students living there prior were absolute pigs. It was beyond words. When we arrived there was an 5 person cleaning crew in the unit cleaning extensively. They had already replaced the carpet and the painting crew was scheduled to start that evening, they had to replace the bedroom doors and a week later replaced some cabinetry in the kitchen. We were even able to move in that night because the painters finished the bedrooms first. We still had to do some cleaning, but we were thankful for everything the manager did even though we were supposed to take it as is. The rest of her year there went well. Internet was good, never used any cable TV, we didnt have to rent a hotel when visiting because the bedroom areas are so large. These suites are HUGE. Parking was never a problem. She usually always had parking under the building and if not the parking garage right next door had free parking on the 4th floor.
Im likely going to spend the rest of my lease trying to find a different place to live next year. Like most people in the reviews are saying, the place was a mess when I got here: dirt, old food on the floor, smelled like dog pee, paint on the floor, etc. They had someone clean the carpets, but it didnt do anything at all for the smell so I rely on air fresheners. We spent the entire weekend deep cleaning the place. My unit has no issues with bugs, but most people here say they do. If you can afford to get a reserved parking space, its likely that youll get other people parking in your spot all the time, and dealing with the towing company is a nightmare.Theres another thing that most people havent been saying in reviews that I feel needs to be addressed: the walls are PAPER THIN. For me, thats by far the worst part and the main reason I wont be staying here another year. Because most people living here are college kids, its likely that you wont get considerate neighbors no matter how quiet you are. Noise complaints are also mostly ineffective, as your neighbor will likely ignore it. If youre like me, you wont want to keep bothering the people up front about it either.Any pros to this place? Its close to campus and the floor plans arent bad. Maintenance is also really good about fixing everything: my dishwasher and dryer both were broken upon move in and he was there within the week. The internet is also surprisingly fast and its nice that everything is included in your rent. The people at the front desk are also nice and I dont really ever have issues with them. Its definitely a tolerable place to live, but it isnt likely that youll exactly enjoy your time here.(I edited a small part after thinking about it)
Took a little bit long for maintenance repairs on my refrigerator. This location is somewhat far from my classes because they are on the other side of campus. But, overall, the atmosphere is nice. This is a pretty great place for my first year off of campus.
