The staff here needs to be trained in customer service. They are rude and unprofessional. Ive never felt so humiliated in my life with how I was treated.I signed up for a 3-day guest pass. I used to be a customer (my membership was cancelled at the beginning of the pandemic, but my membership was not for a Sports Gym; this particular 24 Hour Fitness Gym is considered as a Sports Gym). I was turned away like I had leprosy or something. The least the staff could do was apologize and properly explain how I did not qualify for the Guess Pass. Ive never gone to a 24 Hour Fitness Sports gym before. Shouldnt I at least try it out before officially signing up for a membership? I would definitely not recommend this gym to anybody. You have just lost a potential customer.
Glad to be back at the gym with no restrictions. The staff here is very friendly and the gym is clean.Coming over here now since theyve got two racquetball courts. Best thing is that its not packed, so machines are available, the courts are able to be reserved within 48, and the steam room is clean. Nice old gym.
I had some issue with my memberships but was unable to get hold of any 24 hours fitness customer service. The call center is no longer exists and email option from the websites Contact Us was disabled. I was very frustrated and ready to cancel my gym membership. When I called this club directly, luckily for me, Andre answered and gave me accurate information about my billing questions. Not only he took the ownership of this issues and explained everything in detail, but had a positive attitude. Management, please reward him for his fantastic customer service. I would highly recommend this club just because he works there. Satisfied customer:-)
Little order but I enjoy my visits. Staff is nice.
Pool, jacuzzi and sauna are large and spacious.
It is nice place to have your exercise and swimming.
Best place ever😊
Very clean. One down side is that all the equipments are older than me. But they get the job done.
UPDATE: Randys a decently good club manager. We had some differences at first, but after several meetings, emails, and a call later, I honestly believe that he is trying to change this gym for the better. Many replacement processes take longer than we would hope. But I hope he will get things sorted out. Outdated equipment change is LONG overdue, and work orders frequently never come to pass. These things need to improve.INITIAL REVIEW: I was assured by the club manager that we would get at least a couple elliptical machines fixed/replaced in a timely manner because they are at least 12+ years old and in rough shape. He did not deliver.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid going there. The place is a mess and its impossible to cancel membership. After multiple phone calls and visits, the best advice we could get from the friendly staff their was you should open a dispute with your credit card companyGreat way to deal with customers.Stay away!!!!
Gym is amazing been going here for a few months now. Summer is amazing along with other staff members always in the mood to help with any questions you may have. If you are looking to come here for free weights they have 2 pairs of each weight. As for machines they have a few machines for each muscle group. Gym community is mostly the same besides a few older folks just walking around staring. If you are looking for a quick workout do not go between the hours of 5pm and 8pm as that is when everybody and their family is there.
This club has horrible communication and an obvious lack of respect for its members. The machines are constantly broken and worn down with very little follow through on repair requests. The staff here is lazy and rude with basic requests not being satisfied... HELLO! I’m paying $40+ a month for a gym that is dirty and run down. The management here clearly is not doing their jobs along with the rest of the staff. The trainers seem more interested in making a quick buck than helping people and seem to prey on gullible elderly individuals. Disgusting.
Very clean and very nice staff
One of the best 24 fitness gyms. Other ones in the area suck! So even though this one is pretty far away - I still go here because its so much nicer. It sucks that the chain cant make all 24 fitnesses nice or at least with a towel service because its super inconvenient to bring so many towels with you and wash and dry them at home all the time. Anyways - this Gym is clean, staff is friendly, 2 different saunas - pretty good vibe. I come there almost every day. I recommend this one for everybody!
Club itself is ok. Class x room needs more cleaning as far as the floor goes. However, Don is absolutely the best instructor ever. I also really enjoy Margaret’s yoga class too. Thumbs up.
Staff needs to fulfill the request if keeping this place clean. Men’s shower are is usually filthy. Hate to see the women’s shower area.Racquetball court floors have not been maintained properly and staff allow courts to be used for other purposes ... last event I had someone pounding a soccer ball against the wall. Staff was slow to correct the problem.
Decent gym, very busy during the evenings on weekdays (as expected), wish they update the equipment.
Actually open 24/7. They have replaced a lot of the machines and the crowd is not as bad as other places. The employees also dont bug you compared to other locations.
EDIT: Upon further inspection the pool does not have a very good heating system, meaning the pool isnt nearly as interesting in the winter-- compared to the Mountain View one i suppose. Still good!ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very underrated. They only recently revamped their locker rooms and wet area, and it is hard to beat. Solid facilities on that front. I swim a lot, so please note that I am merely basing my review on my experience with the wet area. If only all the reviews from 1 year ago or further expired, because this place is probably the most improved of all the 24-Hour Fitness Sport locations (that arent not super-sports) in the area.
The main reason I have to give this gym a low score is because many of the treadmills dont even work or have jammed buttons. Ive told the front desk about this many times, and it hasnt lead to any change over the past three years. Now I only attend the gym to go to the group exercise classes, which are genuinely good.
Equipment here is in good condition and is kept relatively clean, but machines are very close to each other. Small, beat up bike rack out in front (bring a cable lock, its hard to U-lock your bike to it). Employees are pretty friendly. However, the locker rooms are dirty (especially the showers) and very dimly lit. Overall, this 24 isnt too bad, and has what you need to get a good workout.
Worst gym! Machines are always broken. You can complain about it, they just shake their heads and do fake smiles but never fix it. I wouldnt be surprised if someones gotten hurt here because of their negligence. Its the closest one to me so I would love to love it! But everytime I take my chance and go Im pissed! Their machines are also very old. Not die why they wont invest in New ones like the other 24 hour off Lawrence. The customer service here is terrible also. So sad! Obviously bad management.
I have had my best gym sessions here. People and workers are angelically kind. Much appreciated. Will return as much as possible.
The only issue I have with this club is the morning trainer for water aerobics. The way she yells directions for excercise gives me anxiety. I come to relax in the sauna or spa, think about stuff and set my mind for an upcoming day. But its hard to do when every 30 seconds Im being flashbacked to a loosing high school team at the state finals.
Its average. Ive been there for about 2 weeks every day. The best part is the Hot Tub! the worst part is the Mens Restroom Area smells like the manager took a dump and left it for about 10 years I almost yak all over everyone after I worked out. The smell is equal to a Nasty strip club restroom at in Dive Bar, on the darkest streets of a Forth world country!!!
Staff is nice. Clean equipment. Not as crowded as other 24h fitness. Not bad at all.
Just a dirty old gym. Depending on when you go it can have a very local community feel or it can be a crowded nightmare if you get there in rush hour. Nice sized place. Pretty open and spacious with a good variety of equipment, both weights and cardio.
Good gym but not maintained well.. very limited free weights, exposed wires, quite smelly. Personal trainers are awesome but their manager nicole is extremely rude and unprofessional. Always trying to prove her dominance over young trainers who are doing everything they can and working hard. I recommend this place for personal training and racquetball courts. Excellent location too. I hope they spend some money to improve the facility. 4 star coz of location and personal trainers.
This place has recently remodeled locker room, clean pool. Its not crowded.
Very poor and old gym ... they have so old and dirty showers. First time when entered in this gym was shocked, after European gyms it looks rely poor . I give 2 starts only because of receptions guys, they are so friendly and helpful! Thank you for it
This particular nasium has a nice sauna, swimming pool, hot tub, dance area, and weights. My only complaint is about the members. There are certain peak times that it is best to avoid, and those warnings about theft? The warnings are serious. Its not the fault of the staff or the gym, but I did have my cell phone stolen.
Experience - Bad .Want to share few tips.1)if you use the word personal training, its a suicide .2) Receptionist will recommend you a personal trainer - dont trust that.Make your decisionOne trainer Mr MARCUS was behind my life to sell the trainer package.Got so annoyed and decide not to use a personal trainer at all.Mostly I am gonna use up my two months and say bye.
Average gym, work out area is on 2nd floor, scary when users drop heavy weight on floor. Lockers are old but still usable. Sauna and jacuzzi are often crowded since quite many retirees hang out.
Older gym showing its age. Locker room tends to be dirty, but the machines/gym floor are pretty well kept. Staff always friendly and helpful
Its a large 24 hours fitness. Great gym with cheap prices. Get super crowded right after work and late at night the grunting crowd comes out. Go during the day and its fine.
Good gym, big room and two other small rooms with a lot of equips, racket ball courts, pool, spa n steam room.
I got the guest pass and I have CA id but they don’t approve me cuz they need Sunnyvale ID it’s trouble 🤔☠️
Absolutely disgusting. All of the equipment appears to be about 10 - 15 years old. The cardio machines squeak and make groaning noises when in use. Some of the cardio machines are even missing pieces off of them. The elliptical I used this morning actually had some rust on it. Everything in this gym looks and feels dirty. The womens locker room is completely filthy. The drains (all 6 of them) were clogged up with globs of hair. The handicap shower stall just has a hose coming out of the wall and no actual shower head. There are doors missing off of quite a few lockers. There is what appears to be rust and water damage along the bottoms of the walls. There is nothing clean or nice about the womens locker room at all.
Good location but a bit out of date for shower room and exercise equipments. The staff here are very friendly though. I actually prefer this location than a newer super center half mile away just down the street.
Tends to be packed on Mondays, but has several squat racks and cages, along with a good amount of benches so its usually a bit better than the Sunnyvale location.
Basic gym. Reasonably clean. Best feature is hours.
Great service from the staff, place is always clean and the trainers are some of the best!
Poorly maintained branch, probably because theres a Super Sport nearby.Equipment stays broken for a long time. Mens shower and bathroom are pretty awful -- half the showers never have hot water, and the fixtures are often partially broken. Bathroom usually reeks like its in a bus station. When informed about the lack of hot water, the staff shrugs and says its because of old pipes, and it would cost too much to fix. The only reason I stay is because of the pool, which is a decent size.
Wish they provided towels like my usual 24 but I do love the yoga class on Wednesday mornings
Good range of equipment and has a day rate thats good for travellers
The worst gym I ever signed up for. Frequent loss of hot water, mens bathroom always smells like a sewer, broken equipment and lockers that remain unfixed indefinitely. Only good thing is I have the option to go to another 24 hour fitness.
When I walked into this gym for the first time, I felt creeped out. Lots of guys stared at me and I refused to go back for a while. However, I live very close to this location.I gave it another chance. I typically visit another 24. So to make the comparison, this location does not offer the equipment variety as the super sport. No towels. The layout is inconvenient and awkward. The lack of some equipment alone, does not entice me to revisit.
Disrespectful employees. Nobody cares about complaints or feedback. They publicise free 3 day trial and the supervisor says Gym is a gym, theres nothing to try. Employees try to con you with higher charges saying that this special offer will end today. If you come right now you can sign up. I got fooled and paid $50 a month for this gym which is not even a supersport
U-Jam on Mondays is the best.Maintenance of restrooms and equipment could be better.
This morning, someone took my towel at the shower room. This kind of thing happens occasionally. The hot water does not come out for 1 week so far.Even cold water comes out a little bit. Not easy to clean your body. This is very common here. The staffs here do not care of these.
Good place to exercise. Mostly everything is well kept in this gym
Noisy and croudy, not enough air.Once I saw creepy naked guy in locker room who openly tried to demonstrate some parts of his body (if you know what I mean) and really trying to get attention everyone who was nearby.
Parking is usually a disaster if you attend after work; cars tend to overflow parallel to E Fremont Ave, but be careful! You might get a parking ticket for $50+ dollars because it isnt a parking stall. There arent any signs saying you cant park there, so whats the deal? Its not 24 Hour Fitness fault, but it may deter members from going and furthermore -- lose business. Other than that, its just a regular gym with all the expected amenities. Bathrooms can be kind of gross, but its also kind of expected. Also, dont be surprised to see if a piece of equipment that is broken or malfunctioning. =P
This place is absolutely filthy. If you want an infection, come to this gym. The worst part is the mens locker room. It smells like urine and is not maintained. Showers are dirty and are not maintained. There is always a wait line by the pool and even the pool is dirty. I may complain to the City of Sunnyvale about this one. Its a serious health hazards. They should tear this shith*ole down immediately.
Good sporty feel but lockers area needs exhaust fans to breathe there
Locker rooms and pool area used to be in pretty bad condition. Went through remodeling in December and is now 100% better!
3 Day trial free. Spa/Sauna are pretty good. Peak hours 7-9 morning and 6-9 evening.
The essential gym machines and weights are all there. They’ve had some newer upgrades but the bathrooms like any gym are never glamorous..
Its got the equipment I need. Staff is pretty nice. They even remembered my name.
Good atmosphere, great equipment, and friendly people. The gym is divided into two parts cardio section and workout on machines. Also, the gym has jaccuzi, swimming pool and sona bath available.
Most of the time cold water! Shower broken! Not clean toilets! Broken bicycles pedal fixes! But totally near, big, staff are good, look the dirts in the renewed jacozzy !
My only complain about cleanness. Restroom so nasty, you gotta clean it guys! everything else is decent for me because im not high demand cust.
I 2nd the other review that talked about the restrooms being nasty!!! This time instead of a person cleaning up one problem they just put up a sign saying broken, I told one the stuff he slammed the door to the stall hella hard and stormed off...i can deal with old stuff but not with super nasty bathrooms!!! Please 24hr give a crap about your gyms!!
If you love the smell of urine where you change and take showers then this is the gym for you. Its really hard to imagine that places like this exist in CA
Dont come because the machine that you want to use is broken. Out of 5 upright cycles all 5 are broken. Went to the elliptical, first one broken second one broken. That tells you the management doesnt care, theyve given up. The only thing that always works is the cash register.
Decent for a sport and equipment needs fixing and cleaning
Worst shower room Ive seen in any 24 club. An embarrassment to the franchise. Put some money into it or shut it down.
Good machines, good staff, good parking, not too too busy, but my goodness the locker rooms and restrooms are beyond awful.
By far the WORST 24-hour fitness (or any mainstream gym) Ive ever been to. The equipment is always malfunctioning (cardio equipment AND weight machines). The equipment is old, frayed, and overall in poor shape. But the worst part is the lockers rooms (at least the mens) is in REALY bad shape. Smelly toilet area, showers have mold growing ALL over the ceiling and overall very nasty floors. The thing I hate about this gym is that people that have to come here because of location pay the SAME price as those with newer, nicer 24 hour fitness facilities. Save your self the time, pain, and disgusting experience of every coming here. I only came here when I had to because it was close to my work, otherwise it really is a piece of trash in terms of gym.
Gym is not clean. I find smell of sweat on most of the equipments. They dont have a towel facility or even a paper towel facility. Its just not clean.
Low, moldy ceilings in cardio area Elliptical made loud knocking noise every other revolution. Front desk ignored me when I walked in, talking amongst themselves. Only two urinals working in locker room which is also dark and gross. My advice is to find another 24 hr. First and last time I come here after work.
Dirty and old. Great classes though.
I can only give stars for the group exercise room, and even then its barely a 2-star rating. The entire facility is outdated and just filthy... especially the restrooms. They also dont have a mop/broom for the group exercise room so cleaning up sweat after a zumba/yoga/whatever class is near impossible.
No longer open 24 hours, not what I signed up for.
This gym in Sunnyvale is rather run down. It smells of sweat because of a poor ventilation system. The bathrooms and locker rooms are very poorly maintained.
Cleaner than most 24 hour places but I wont come here because the pool is too short. 50 yards instead of 75
Decent place. But not clean.
Old and filthy, does NOT open 24 hours
How about cleaning the place sometime? I find the same stains in the locker, shower and restroom areas. It smells like urine and is just a mess. Only reason I give two stars is because one it is a gym and two the equipment is okay.
May is the best instructor ever.
Place is packed and old equipment is not a plus. Average for gyms in the area though
Pales in comparison to other 24 Hour Fitness locations. Seems to be poorly maintained in order to drum up business for the new location down the street.
Tons of great group x classes but the parking lot is overcrowded and the parking spaces are so awkwardly placed that Im surprised there arent several accidents a day trying to get in and out of this parking lot.
Can get crowded also often equipment isnt always working properly. Older location could use a remodel
Bathrooms are always dirty. Really, really dirty. Been going here, on and off, for a few years. Bathrooms always smell like urine and water leaks everywhere.
Enough parking lot... Usually crowded but easy to find equipments
Older building but good equipment
The staff is friendly. They have a variety of cardio, free weight, and machine guided weights.
I been a member of 24 hours for over 8 years never been to a restroom where the urinals really stink right from the entrance (men restrooms ) I wonder where the members fee are being used on Im so damn disappointed
No pool, parking was very tight, lockers were dirty.
My favorite 24 location. 3 racks and cage.
Nice gym, interesting layout.
Easy to find and near shops
The bathroom/showers are the pits! There is plenty of equipment, but I wish they would repair/update the showers and restroom!!!!!
Reasonably cost effective.
Excellent service and good facilities
Not clean showers. Most of equipments out of order.
Always cold shower, always something not working .Weird and irresponsible.
