Standard place to play badminton. Courts are in good condition. I played at the Sunnyvale location. Drop in fees plus extra to book a court unless you pay for membership. All in all, good if you live close by
Brought my 10 mo with me and they insisted I pay for him. We left because that is so ridiculous. These people forgo human decency for a few dollars. These are literally the last two cents I’m providing to this business and all other Bintang locations.
New lighting. Decent surface. $25 for 2 hours if one needs a reserved court.Has gotten expensive after the pandemic. Drop ins are not fun since most evenings are busy and have long wait times.
Multiple badminton courts inside. Like the place. California heat and little stuffiness is a problem though.
Its good but a bit pricey
Courts and facilities are good, but theyre not very organized. I spent a good portion of my time there waiting for nothing (not even waiting for a court). Staff was 20min late to their shift so even though we arrived right when they opened (for drop-in group play), we had to wait 20min (maybe even more). Also, the court sign up system wasnt really set up right - some courts werent marked reserved but in fact they were, so we spent 20+ minutes waiting for a court to find that it was reserved for lessons (side note, that instructor was very aggressive and kind of rude too, but thats beside the point). It also looked like some of the reserved courts werent having lessons, but maybe they were reserved for some other purpose. It was my first time there so I dont know any better. If there was another badminton court nearby Id try that out before coming back here, to be honest
Li, the customer service staff, is very helpful and accommodating. I appreciate her help. The place is decent. Not very busy except for Friday nights or the weekends. You need to bring your own water or purchase it there. No water fountain.
Great facility. My son plays here. His game is improving.
All of the locations of Bintang Badminton are equally good. Great place to learn, practice, or have fun at badminton. The pro shop is reasonably well stocked with all the badminton gear you need. They also restring rackets. There is a good crowd of friendly people who will generally welcome games with strangers. It can be crowded some nights but there is a sign up system that keeps court time equitable.
We had great time playing there today as a family of four. You rate a place like this five stars because it exists for the love of the sport and fellowship between team members. Meaning there is no way the low court fees cover the leasing costs of such large expensive Silicon Valley properties. So there must be generous backer eating the losses just to ensure we all have places to enjoy this sport. Such a generous act gets five star review in my book!
Its an awesome indoor space for badminton
For kids badminton classes, Bintang is a better alternative to those at the community center. Coaches are focused on proper technique, developing skills and strength. Opportunities for competition participation are available too. Parking can be problem, and parents, Do Not park in the handicap lot without a placard!
Good place to play badminton at a reasonable price. They have around 12 courts Though you can rent rackets and shuttles, I would recommend bringing your own. It is usually crowded but the reservation system allows you to play for a reasonable amount of time at regular intervals.
I have been playing here for last two years and made lot of great friends here. Place is decent and I love to play in challenge courts.Customer service: Unfortunately, I had to deal with a guy in the reception whos a mood killer and poke people who were there to have fun. Scroll through the reviews, you will know what i mean. Its not just me :)Over the last year, there are new receptionists who are very welcoming. Out of all, Ahn is the best. Thanks, Ahn.
Pretty awesome, but can get wack on the weekends. staff is okay. prices are sort of high, so consider staying for 3+ hours to get your moneys worth. be sure to bring your friends with you as well (like a good 4-8 people)
This is a decent place having around 11 courts. The cost of using the facility (as a non-member) is $8 for afternoon hours and $10 for evening hours/weekends. The ventilation is a bit poor, and it gets crowded in the evenings. Going on Saturdays or on a weekday afternoon is one way to get to play for a reasonably long duration.
This is a good place but they have slot of 30 mins only. It would have been great of they have slot of 40 or 45 mins just like other Bintang courts.
This place has 9 courts and once you get reservation of a court you can play for 30min. You can book another court once your reservation expires. One of the courts is a challenge court, in which you can challenge people playing and whoever wins gets the court :) it gets crowded in evening on weekends. Parking is abundant and apart from this you do get quick supply of water and shuttle. There are racquets available on rent.
Good indoor badminton courts. Either membership or per day option available. Able to reserve courts one at a time for 30 min.
Has about twelve courts. Gets pretty crowded during weekends. Could be more clean esp on the sides. Cheap and also has rackets for rent.
Membership seems a bit costly here.. otherwise its a good place to burn your calories!!3 courts are meant for challenge matches and 8 courts are for regular doubles and singles as per your wish ..you need to book the court using your username and password and the court would be available for half an hour. Book another court after the time has elapsed.Lack of ventilation makes you feel tired very soon. Restrooms and changing rooms are provided. Parking space is abundant. You can buy rackets and shuttle cocks here or get rackets for rent at $5. You can buy t-shirt and shorts and elbow/knee support bands. You need to get your own water bottle as there is no drinking water facility here.
A good place to play badminton. The fee is not too bad($10 walkin), there are challenge courts for advanced players and regular courts for others. There are restrooms. However, is is usually very crowded, it is very hot and humid in there. They dont have free drinking water as well.
Gets very crowded on weekday evenings and you will mostly playing in 30 min slots with 20 min gaps. Much less crazy on weekends and you can probably play without breaks. For a group a 2 you might end up playing doubles with others (better scenario) or having to split the court (annoying). They charge $11 per person per visit or $100(rechargable card) for 10 which you can swipe for others as well.
It’s a good place for badminton lovers you can always find patner to play with you. There won’t be anything great to rate 5 star so I gave 4 star
Good place. Very crowded at times, making it difficult to find free courts. Wait times can be long
Good place to play badminton. Entry fee is $11 though. They also sell shuttles and rackets here.
This is supposed to be a place to have good practice and fun in the court. Ive played a lot of times here and I really enjoyed it. I do not feel happy about the interaction I had with the guy at front desk who has been working here for a *long* time.Heres what happened:I went up to him to suggest the restroom towel dispenser has been broken for last 2 visits when I used it. His response was [ From what I recall ], Sure. I know that. It is going to be like that and there are no plans to fix it. You are welcome to write an email to the management which many customers have tried for the last several months!I hope this message reaches in the right spirit to the management people and please act on customer request. Please dont kill the spirit and fun by having rude interactions with customers. I wish I could give 4 stars.
Very popular badminton place. The ventilation cam be better. They have changing room.
This review is just for the open gym at nights. Ive been here quite a few times. The place gets crowded at night up until around 9-10pm. Its very hard to find open courts, especially when half of the courts are challenge courts. Its great if youre one of those godly players, but its not so good when youre just out with friends. In terms of facilities, this place is falling apart. There are some workout requirements in the corner of the room, but theyre in disrepair. The bathrooms are in horrible shape, and paper towels are often out of stock. Part of the problem is that theres only 1 person manning the place many nights.Personally, I prefer the badminton gyms in Milpitas or Campbell, but theyre much farther.
Nice place to play badminton they charge $11 per person and it is unlimited to play $5 for rackets rental
Nicely maintained! Good prices for rentals!Amazing workout!
Nice place to play badminton during lunch time. $8 is the standard fare without membership. Try to go before noon if you dont want to wait.
Overall good place compared to other badminton place in bay area - at least it usually has space. The bad thing is that its very very hot inside. They dont open windows because the wind might affect the badminton.
Not the best Bintang but ok. I tend to avoid playing there on evenings and weekends.Pros:- Near companies and can even go during lunch hours- Friendly staffsCons:- Pretty crowded all times- Fewer courts compared to other places- Thus, long wait time (1 hour play 20 minutes)- Challenge court sign up system not effective as people never unsign themselves after the games
Good place to play badminton, has about 11 courts. Relatively less crowded than the one in Milpitas. Restroom and water facilities not good.
There are 11 courts in this facility. It can be busy during the evenings on weekdays but its a great space to find good players on challenge courts.
The place is crowded and severely lack of ventilation. Went in a weeknight when outside was cool and dry. Once stepped in, immediate felt the air was bad, hot and humid. I needed to breath a lot harder, sweat a lot more and got tired much quicker. It was not a good way to exercise or enjoy badminton in this place.
Almost always crowed. Floor is slippery when wet/raining.
Good court maintenance and people. No water fountain. Not much ventilation.
Nice place, environment and management. But it is a little old for 11 dollar entree fee.
The Sunnyvale facility is old and not maintained well. Restrooms are very limited and not cleaned regularly. Only one person as staff. The only good thing is the location.
Nice place for playing badminton in the winter.
Its a really good place to be if u wanna play badminton. It doesnt smell as bad as some other badminton places and the bintang team is really friendly and funny. The bathrooms even have showers. Which is really cool in my point of view.
If you dont want to take the risk of ruining the good mood of playing badminton, i strongly suggest not going here. Ive been to several other badminton places (mostly in south bay, including the other bintang) in bay area and this is definitely the worst place ive ever been to.The place itself is extremely stuffy, which made it smelt really bad when i got inside (and especially when its becoming crowded), what a nice place full of heavy body odor! The lady at the reception was nice and helpful, but the blond reception man was really rude and horrible: He kicked us out of the court list without even notifying/explaining. We asked for explanation and he started to shout at us. He also refused to let us talk to the manager of that place when we required so and asked us to leave.
Good place for drop-in. Ventilation couldve been better.
Poor ventilation, the temperature indoor is raising very quickly in summer.
Clean place with courts in good condition. Perfect for practicing
Good for badminton, not so great pricing for purchasing equipment.
Ceiling abit too low. But has nice rubber matted courts
Its a good place to play badminton but its usually very crowded
Cool courts + coaches. Crazily complex system to reserve courts.
They have training scheduled at the same time when people come to play. Most of the time is wasted waiting because of this training (almost 1 hour to play 2 games). Most of the courts are used for training. I saw the coaches also using the court to play against each other, when there were 25 people waiting for a court. The management has become so greedy now. Most of the people are frustrated with this new changes and yet they dont care. I am cancelling my membership and going elsewhere.
Great place to learn, practice, or have fun at badminton.
They have 12 courts that you can sign up to play. Most of the courts are for double so bring friends. $7 for non members so its still a pretty good deal.
Good place for occasional play, $10 per person.
Nice and well maintained. They do not have water fountains.
Nice courts. Bathrooms kind of terrible. Place can get crowded and hot.
Horrible experience. The receptionist will kick you out of the waitlist without letting you know. When you check with him he will treat with bad and indifferent attitude. Don’t go here.
I was playing from one month and best place to play badminton.
The facility itself is somewhat decent but the guy at the front desk in the evenings is extremely arrogant and rude. I have had bad experiences with him a couple of times and now will not go here any more. The couple of times I dropped in, he made me wait long because he was working on stringing a racket. Another time I paid him cash and he refused to give me a receipt and after arguing for 5 mins, he asked me to come back after 30 mins. It really is a mood-killer when you go out to play and a nasty guy spoils the entire evening for you.
Agree with other comments. Why that rude reception is still there? He treats guests in a bad manner, and really ruins your mood.Good business needs a good business person.
Good place to easily pair and play badminton
Rude staff. Crowded courts. Children practicing there take up a lot space. The people in challenge court despise people who walked by, totally outside their court. Bad facilities like unsanitary restrooms and crowded benches
Good place to play badminton. Friendly staff
Booking system is broken, and usually too crowded to get a court. You cannot play one vs one, because a court can be signed up by four people.
Good badminton courts. $10/person.
Its small, restrooms dont work, its $10 entrance charge, the court time is shorter at 35 mins, number of court is less, but then its either this or drive to Milpitas in CA-f**king-237. Goddamn.
Only badminton place i know near by. But it a little costly and its very stuffy inside. Also, it is usually too crowded with huge waiting. They have tournaments and classes at the same times when its open for public, hence half the courts are reserved for them.
Very good to play Shuttle badminton
Nice place .. But get suffocating on hot n humid days... Not enough ventilation
Awesome place to players
Thankful for the guy working there to let us play an extra 30 minutes after closing time :)
It great and the coaching are amazing
Best badminton club in the Bay Area
Dont come here, only 11 fields. Waited 1 hour without playing once!
Very bad environment, and booking system is broken.
Make sure you are a group of 4 or more. It gets crowded sometimes.
Always full with ~ 30 mins wait on weekday nights after 6pm. The courts are *very* slippery lately ):
The roof is very low... Shuttles get stuck
Good facility with badminton courts with drop in option
Rushy during weekdays. Its hard to find a court.
Only 11 courts, n 3/4 courts blocked for training in the peak hours
Too crowded. Could only play for half hour after an hour of waiting.
Could be cleaner. And prices are on a constant rise and beginning to become unreasonable.
Its ok. Courts are busy on weekends
The service is so horrible and our net is broken. But no one help us to fix it.
Can only reserve the court for 30 minutes, other Bintang places are 45 minutes.
One rude staff, but good place to play
My go to place for badminton in bay area.
Very nice place
Mostly 15 - 30 min wait
Busy court and very short court time per sign-up
Very crowded at times
What a workout
Congested
Good service
Too crowded on Fridays
Terrible rude service
