I’m not one to typically write reviews but here it goes. I setup an appointment at 1:30, thinking it would give me plenty of time to get a haircut. I show about 1:25, they tell me they will be with me shortly and just finishing up. It gets to 1:50 and they are still “finishing” up with a client. I completely get 5-10 minutes after an appointment as things can happen but the fact it was 20 minutes AFTER the fact and still no finish in sight is a huge red flag to me. I ended up having to walk out based on my schedule. I haven’t had a great experience the last few times I went in and just feels like they are trying to squeeze as many people in as they can into a tight window. The time before this one, they had a scheduling conflict as someone called in a time at the same time as a time I booked online. Luckily, they honored my appointment but it forced an awkward encounter and the other customer storming out of the store. I had been a customer close to a year now and recently, things have changed quite a bit. I would HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere!!!!

After a year of DIY quarantine hair, on a Sunday afternoon I really did a number on my dome. I have short hair, so I knew I could go to a barber shop. I popped into Floyds a little more than an hour before they closed and (hooray!) they were able to accommodate me! I snuck in the last slot of the day with ROSE who was 100% a gift. She was energetic, efficient, communicated well with me, and totally revamped my coiffure. She trained with Aveda, worked in SLC, and is definitely skilled. Fully recommend this shop and Rose.

Nice rock and roll vibe welcomes you as soon as you walk in. Everyone very friendly and those cutting hair are experienced. The price is fair and the shampoo with hot towel (if you havent had it and dont yet know about it) is a must! Personally Ciarrah is the best!

Called ahead to let them know we were stuck in traffic due to a car accident. Arrived in 13 minutes late and was told that the barber had already left for lunch when they knew we were coming. Completly unprofessional and disapointed that they were not understanding considering we drove 40 minutes to this particular barbershop. Front desk lady needs to work on her people skills and the business as a whole should care more about the value of customers. Never coming back here.

I dont write many reviews. Usually, when a place has service that goes above and beyond. That is what you receive when you go to Floyds 99. I have gotten my haircut by many different barbers/Stylist there and each one has done an amazing job. They take their time and make sure to style your hair to look the best when you leave. The music is always on point and the vibe is always relaxed. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

I used to go to Floyds 99 when I lived in Dallas several years ago. I almost always got a reasonably good haircut regardless of who on the staff cut it. When I left Dallas, I found out just how challenging it can be to find a barbershop where I consistently got a good cut. Therefore, I was delighted when Floyds opened up a shop here in North Scottsdale. Ive been going here for most of the last year and, save a few minor exceptions, have been getting consistently good haircuts once again. Like every other Floyds, the North Scottsdale location has the same rock-n-roll theme as far as decor and ambience. This could be a turn-off to some. I am neutral on this aspect myself. When it comes to getting a haircut, the only thing I care about is that result is one I can live with for the next four weeks. Thus far, I have not been disappointed. The staff has always been courteous, professional, and skilled. If youre new to the area and looking for a good barbershop, give these folks a try.

Kristopher is a great barber! Hes been doing this for years and just keeps getting better. He also actually listens to his clients about how they want their hair cut or beard trimmed.

This place and all other locations of this same chain that Ive been to are great. Kris is an amazing stylist here, if you can catch him between appointments. Maria is nice as well, except that she smells horribly of cigarettes. I write that hoping not to offend her but to make her aware of how putrid that smell can be and how much it may affect her tips.The atmosphere is very trendy and all the sylists seems to be in a good mood which shows the company takes care of their people.

Tiffany is the bomb. She hooked up a good razor fade and was a very honest barber. It will be tough to find another like her. This Floyds is laid back and not overcrowded. Everyone seems nice.

Pretty nice place! I was nervous since I havent let someone cut my hair in years, but I cut my own hair off and needed someone to fix it (a bathroom big chop with no mirror). I was nervous since I have an afro, but they handled my hair perfectly and were very gentle. If I decide to keep it short, Id certainly got back.

11/3/2016 - Nice atmosphere and friendly people, but I go to the barbershop to leave with a good hair cut not to watch football or look at pictures. I usually cut my own hair but figured Id treat myself before going on vacation, I more likely tricked myself. I had to coach the lady that cut my hair through the entire cut and she seemed nervous the entire time. My advice is if you have ethnic hair this is not the barbershop for you. I got my beard shaved down with a 1/2 guard, and a line up to sum it all up which took an hour and it was $30.00. Extremely over priced, I could get almost two haircuts from a professional barber for that price. I wouldnt doubt that the two 5 star reviews without a picture work there.

Great atmosphere and concept, but listen to the reviews when it comes to the actual haircut!!!! Extremely overpriced for the quality. Asked for a simple 1 faded up into a short faux. Ended up receiving a lopsided, uneven botch job. I literally drive directly to another shop to get my hair fix.Now Im sure there are some decent stylist there, like any business there is a top and bottom, but judging by the reviews not many. Seems that this place was once great, but is not a hack shop.

Not to be sexist or anything but the girls screw up my hair each time, they really do not know how to cut hair. But the Guys are great barbers they really know how to cut hair. If you go ask for a guy to cut youre hair, even if youre a girl.

I came in on a Saturday at 4:30 without an appointment (the sign outside says Walk Ins Welcome). I was told it would be 45 minutes. I went to do some shopping and was back by 5:15. I checked in with the girl and took a seat. I waited 20 minutes and she never even looked at me. Finally, at 5:35 I went up to her and asked if it would be much longer and said probably 15 to 20 minutes, so I walked out. I know I didnt have an appointment, but I waited well past her estimate and she couldnt have cared less how long it took. They probably wont miss my business since they were pretty busy, but if enyone ever asks me Where can I get a haircut around here?, I tell them anywhere but Floyds 99.

Actually, I took this photo at the Floyds in Tempe on Rural and Baseline. That place is great. Our entire family goes (will go) there. My middle son was nervous at first, having had a sketchy experience at another barbershop (ear trim...ouch!), but Amber took good care of him. He said that she was really good at making sure he wasnt afraid. And even though hes 9 years old, they did all the features of the Floyds Cut on him, which included a hot towel treatment and the massaging shampoo. He was living large that day. My husband saw Anna and he said she was really professional and nice. His cut looked great. A few days later, I saw Terry - a badass chick with A LOT of knowledge about hair. She did a balayage color process on my hair that really turned out great. The atmosphere of this place is really cool. Love the music. Love the decor. I have 2 other kids left to hit that spot, but I know that when the time comes, itll be at Floyds!

I called in and set a appointment for 5:15 they told be its be 10 mins i said ok i ended up walking out at 5:45 after they took two ppl that got there after me bad service its an hour later abd they didnt even call i will never waste my time there again

I usually attend another Floyds Barbershop but I was working in North Scottsdale at the time and found out there was one there so as I found that out I made it to go out that way after work to get a haircut simple fade.. I waited about 20 minutes which was fair because I didnt have an appointment I just wanted a haircut my hair was over due by like 3 weeks almost a month so I was desperate to get my haircut as soon as possible.. I dont recall her name but she was Caucasian approached me and asked if I wanted a haircut I said sure you do know how to do fades right ?I asked she said yes of course.. as she begins a haircut she begins wetting the top of my hair and cutting it with scissors and I requested a 2 on top skin on the side I looked at her with confusion as shes doing this and ask her why is she starting at this way.?. I told her it usually doesnt start off like this she began to get upset and walked off to talk to her manager or should I say complaining as I look at my head and see it as if a bald eagle was staring back at me I was horrified but didnt lose my temper.. she came back flustered at that point I asked her you do know how to do Fades dont you she smirked back at me with an attitude and said yes I know how to cut hair Im going to pass you off to this guy and he could finish your haircut she began to tell me she didnt like the way I was treating her. Theres much worse things I could have said or done to ruin this girls career she has no idea I let her off easy with simple questions I was not going to leave that place looking like that I wasnt even upset until she started talking anyways I walked away from her and the gentleman asked me how my day was going I told him it was fine until I met that girl.. they gave me half off the haircut and when it came time to leave a tip the girl up front was stunned that I actually wanted to leave a tip but for the guy who did my haircut not the girl with the sassy attitude that doesnt know how to cut hair! Never again
