Isla, the dental hygienist, was WONDERFUL! She made me feel so comfortable in a situation that isn’t usually a comfortable one. She was thorough and efficient and knowledgeable and made the experience actually enjoyable. Dr. Fowler was so nice and informative and took the time to explain everything very thoroughly. The entire team at Azalea Dental is so wonderful! From the administrative staff answering all of my questions, to my daughters appointment. We were greeted at the door, then taken straight back to the dental treatment room. My little one was already trying to go. Dr. Riley’s assistant went out of her way to make her comfortable. Nice place, but was told they would not let me walk through the office without a mask on just to remove it so they can do a cleaning in my mouth which will not have a mask on. Makes absolutely no sense. Time to find new dentist for whole family.

I drive over 30 miles just to go to Azalea Dental and it is well worth the drive. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Dr. Riley is the best dentist and he has a great team.

Dr. Riley and Pam are the best. Pam takes the time to get to know her patients. There’s a particular service that she knows that I don’t like (I never said anything but she noticed from my facial expressions) and she offered an alternative service. Now every time I visit she knows and proceeds with the other service. Dr. Riley is also friendly and cares about his patients. I’ve been going here for years and don’t plan on leaving. Im still a little new with Dr. Riley and the amazing staff but each visit I have had with them has been nothing but over the top. The front desk is always so great with answering any question about insurance or anything. The dental hygienist the first time I went was super nice and went over exactly what she was doing each step of the way. The blonde dental hygienist/assistant? was amazing, she was super talkative and there was never a dull moment. The last time I went in, I was having a problem and she had to do x-rays so I ended up having to take my nose rings out. When we were done, I couldnt get one of my nose rings back in so Dr. Riley stepped in and told me to sit in the chair and actually got my nose ring back in for me! I dont know another dentist that would do something like that. He was so nice about it and went above and beyond. I had never laughed so much in a dentist office or seen the staff at a dentist office laugh so much. Everyone is so delightful and I would 100% recommend them!

I went to azalea dental for multiple years, the dental staff was great however the accounting department is an entirely different story. I had to get a few fillings done, okay not a major problem however I was quoted one price for the procedure explaining what I would pay and what my insurance was going to pay... Well I was charged a completely different price, instead of doing the filling I was quoted for, I was charged for a different type of filling, one that my insurance covers less of. So now after having the dental work done I’m stuck with a bill triple of what I was quoted, and when I called the office to request a payment plan they said offered one however they had to get it approved for such a large bill and would call me back... I’ve never had a call back and have left messages in regards to questions and still continue to be shut out. After dealing with the accounting department this seems to be a practice just after money & one that is not willing to listen to customers.

Best dentist, best dental practice, and best dental clinic/set up I’ve ever been to. I am always impressed with Dr. Riley. He fixes the problems I’m having and when needed he’ll show me the xrays and tell me his concerns. He’s good at what he does! And the way he has his office/clinic set up is very impressive! It’s always clean, he has a keurig coffeemaker in the waiting room, the staff has always been so nice, the chairs (for the actual dental work) are comfortable, he actually has TVs mounted to the ceiling!!! Seriously! TVs mounted to the ceiling!!!! So when I’ve had fillings, he has the most modern mouth device that keeps your mouth open. It doesn’t bother me at all. After he numbs the mouth area where he’s working I usually just fall asleep when he’s doing his work. There’s no gas or meds or anything, I’m just so comfortable I just fall asleep 😂 At the end I tell him I’m sorry for falling asleep and he says, Hey man that’s totally fine you don’t have to apologize, it’s actually more a compliment to me when people fall asleep when I’m working. 😄 not only is he a grey dentist, but he really is a great guy. He’ll be my dentist for as long as I live here.

Dr Riley and his staff made short order of a problem plaguing me for over a year. They gave me an appointment within days even with a hurricane coming. They did not shame me and were very understanding of my anxiety. I am a new patient and new to the area having moved from the west coast but I felt right at home! This place is one of the most nicest and professional places I have been to as far as dentist go. Every time I went I was greeted and treated great! I recently moved from Chicago to Summerville and was worried about finding a dentist and these guys just blew it out of the park. I moved back to Chicago and told them about it, they didn’t just send all my dental records to my new dentist, but they sent me a personal letter thanking me for being a patient and wished me the best at my home! I have never seen that before. If you want a dentist go to these guys, it’s worth the travel, even if you live in Charleston or the surrounding areas!

Being in the dental profession as an orthodontic specialist I get to see a lot of dental work from a lot of dentists. I am consistently impressed with the high standards and quality of work that Dr Riley gives to his patients. If you are looking for an exceptional dentist with high moral integrity, you have found him!

Ive been to several dental clinics and have been treated by many Dentist and Hygienist during my time in the Air Force and after. Dr. Riley and staff are by far the most professional/personable/efficient/pleasant staff and facility I have ever been to. There are at least a dozen dental clinics between my house and Azalea Dental Clinic all offering free whitening or something else. Azalea Dental Clinic simply offers the best dental experience ever. They are my clinic hands down. Of course my kids like them as well.

So, I was nervous about going, about what they would find and how I would be treated. Like many people, having strangers dig around in my mouth was awkward and uncomfortable.Enter Azalea Dental.I cant believe my experience. Never have I been to the dentist and left thrilled about the visit. I couldnt stop talking about how impressed I was.I met Dr. Riley as soon as I entered the building. Ive never seen a dentist in the reception area greeting patients. This was refreshing.Debbie at the front desk was charming and easy going. She answered my questions about the paperwork I needed to fill out. As I was leaving, she left me looking forward to my next cleaning.Jodie was my dental hygienist, and she is the best dental hygienist I have ever had. She explained everything to me, from the x-rays of my mouth to what she would be doing to my teeth and gums. I have never been so informed at the dentists office. She was funny and made me feel comfortable about having been away for so many years. She had me laughing and forgetting that metal instruments and a suction hose were in my mouth. This lady truly loves her job, and it shows.If the office youre currently going to doesnt sound like this, I suggest you check out Azalea Dental. I will recommend them to everyone I can.

My family has been going to Azalea Dental for a few years. Everything was wonderful until they charged my wife for an expensive alternative procedure that she did not consent to, and our insurance would not cover. Be weary of this practice and be sure to be completely informed of the procedures being completed and demand written consent forms to be involved in your visit.TL;DR = This office will under-inform you of work to be completed and you wont find out until you get the bill....but by then its too late to dispute.

I cant say enough good things about them. I came in as an emergency patient and they treated me as a long-time patient. Dr. Riley worked on me extensively before I even had my initial visit. Finally had my first visit with x-rays etc. and still got the welcome gift! They use state of the art equipment and procedures but are very personal. I had to be late for an early appointment because of family illness and the doctor asked me about it when he came in. Ill never go anywhere else!

As a new patient, my first visit prior to my scheduled cleaning was an emergency visit. Dr. Riley and his team could not have been nicer and more attentive. He was very conservative in rendering an opinion of what the problem was. Honestly, he could have told me I needed a crown and I wouldnt have known the difference. Instead, heave me his opinion and sent me on to a specialist whose opinion matched that of Dr. Riley. Neither doc recommended treatment at the present time. Since that time, I went in for my routine cleaning and again, amazing staff and wonderful care from Doc Riley. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality dental care and really nice people.I was not rewarded nor did I received any financial consideration for this review. This is actually the first review I have ever written.
