I’ve been getting dip here for a long time but I’m disappointed because the last 3 fills I have at least 2 nails lift at the tip and the dip nail breaks off after a week week and a half. I’m not sure if somethings changed with the products they’re using but I used to be able to go 3 weeks between fills and now I can’t make it 2. After the second time in a row I said I’d give it one more shot since they have always been so sweet and welcoming but for 3 fills in a row breaking after a week I need to find a new place.
Polished should be famous for their color selection. They have so many darn colors you might want to get there a few minutes early if you’re indecisive, haha!Anna does the best SNS manicure, especially if you want tips for length (she fits and shapes them SO FAST and beautifully). Can’t recommend highly enough, you will be very happy!
I love coming to this salon. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, you feel like family. It seems everyone enjoys working here. You also feel safe coming here as they maintain the highest hygiene standards. For example, they use tub liners, have separators between the working stations, they ask all clients to wash their hands upon entering the salon, etc. I always get my nails done with dip and I love that they have a HUGE variety of colors and my nails always turn out stunning! I have nothing but great things to say about this boutique ♥️
This is my pedicure spot in Seattle. Ive been going here a while and everyone is very friendly. Even after a long COVID-19 break they remembered me!My partner and I plan to continue to come every 6 weeks or so. Lovely people, take the pandemic seriously, and I always feel great afterwards. 💙
Got my nails done here. The service was quite good! Helped with picking the colors for French nails. Loved the fact that they recommended colors for the tips and helped out with that.
This is the worst service I’ve ever had. The staff here are really rude and the heffer doing my nails cut me with the nail file because as soon as she squirted acetone on my fingers it felt like my they were on fire. I tried to let her know and she tried to brush me off then proceeded to blame me lol. I was even showing her the cuts and she pretended not to see them. Anyway after I told her to just remove them and they figured out they weren’t getting my money the whole staff switched up. Also the removal process was very rough/rushed and there is still a coat of acrylic on my natural nails.
Great job with creating new set of pink and white acrylic nails . Had awful application in Maryland with dip pink and white which popped off in one week. They took off the few remaining nails and I had a wonderful new set solid acrylic nails, she made sure to my nails were glued down well holding each one and then applying more glue on edges. I appreciate the effort.
Polished is the best! I feel safe here - they are taking COVID precautions. Social distancing, masks, sanitation, and hand washing, etc. they always do such an amazing job & always pay attention to detail. I have never really been into nails until I discovered dip powder- they have tons of color options, it lasts for 2-3 weeks minimum, and my nails are healthy and long. Highly recommend !!
Just ok. They have a lot of colors, but the technician I had was a little too rough and made my cuticle bleed. At the end I noticed that the paint didn’t come all the way to the top edge of my nail. I asked her to fix it, which she did, but then it ended up being too thick. She did apologize, but still I expected more for the money. Probably won’t go back.
First time here and it was lovely! Despite being very busy the ladies were friendly and communicative. I was given plenty of time to choose what color I wanted for my dip powder and there are so many choices!! This was also my first experience with fake nails and everything went very smoothly and my technician did an awesome job. Will definitely be back for my fills. I did make an appointment which I recommend doing if you go after work during the 5 oclock hour.
AMAZING! Went to a different place downtown a few weeks before and they messed up my nails bigtime. Then I went here and the experience was completely different, nice people who take their time to make sure it is right. They spent time shaping the nails to make sure I was satisfied with them. Definitely will go back for my next fill.
I’m sorry to say this because the ladies Here are so nice...but after my nail bed has been injured I will never be coming back here and I caution others who get nail extensions. On the day I left the nail salon after my dip powder set, my nails began to crack! When I was at the spa the nail tech was filing down my real nail so much it was painful. I asked her to stop because I kept flinching in pain, she nicely apologized and then glued the fake nail tips on top of my raw, battered nails.A week later, another split happened but this time all the way down to my nail bed and it started bleeding (My nail broke while putting on sweat pants...) I’ve never had this happen before after visiting any other salon, and my nails are usually pretty strong. As you can see, almost every nail is cracked (photos taken today, after having the nails for 1.5 weeks). The worst part is the pain I’m having. I’ve been in a splint for a week and the nail hasn’t healed. I called them to ask them about fixing it, and they invited me to come back in when the nail is healed. It’s been a week, my real nail is still split in half and it’s pretty tender so I’m stuck like this for a while.
I started coming to this nail salon about 4 months ago when I started a new job around the corner and I am in love! I have maybe been 4 times in the past 4 months and each time is to replace my shellac manicure from the LAST time I was in! The service is always speedy without compromising on quality and they offer a large range of services. This place can get very busy so I suggest calling ahead if you are short on time. They take same day (sometimes even same hour!) appointments. Alternatively, if you are a walk-in customer (like myself), they are very accommodating and I personally have never waited longer than 5 minutes to be seated.Honestly, the only negative thing I have to say about is this place is twice now (out of the 4 times Ive been in, mind you) have I noticed other clients being downright disrespectful to their nail technician. How these hard working women keep their cool with such rude customers, I have no idea. If I didnt think it would make the staff here uncomfortable, I would gladly call these ladies out for being so miserable and cantankerous.Long story short:This place is great.Make an appointment if you are short on time.Tip your nail tech 20%.
Ive been going to Polished for my nail needs for several years and Im so thankful to have found this amazing spot! They always take time and care, and do an AMAZING job on my nails!Kim always greets me warmly by name and all the technicians are kind and friendly! They always check to make sure the color is what I wanted/thought it would be, and Kim always makes sure that Im happy before I leave. The prices are right on par with other nail salons, AND, if you go early Monday-Thursday, they even have Happy Hour pricing!I think its also important to note that its clean, the tools are sanitized, its comfortable, and theres always someone there to help you!So glad I found this gem so many years ago and I look forward to many more!
Came to Polished for a fill on my acrylic nails and they did an amazing job! Staff was friendly and they had great COVID precautions in place as well.
I went here last year while trying to find a new nail place. The tips all broke off within two weeks. Fast forward to this year, trying to find a new place and I had forgotten that Id given this place a chance already. I paid $41 for a fill plus nail art. Within 12 hours two tips broke off. I called to let them know Id be there the next day at noon for a repair. I show up and theyre rude to me and make me wait. Its been two and a half weeks and 7/10 nails have either lifted or broken. I do not recommend this place at all. It happening once mightve been a fluke, but twice, a year apart, shows lack of quality which is even more insulting considering what they charge.
It felt like I was a burden here. They hurried the entire color picking process and the service was unnecessarily quick. I hated the color that I picked but I didn’t even get a chance to change the color. I got dipping done for the first time from here for my birthday. Definitely not worth $!!
Love this salon! I had Natalie- she is amazing. The selection of colors is very wide and the designs are plenty. The prices are very reasonable for a salon in the middle of downtown. Availability is great as I needed a place open on a Sunday. 10/10 would recommend!
My favorite nail salon in Seattle. My gel/dipping powder last well over 3 weeks, Shellac lasts over 2, and regular polish is high quality, too. They’re usually fairly booked out Saturday mornings in advance but any other day they’re very flexible and often have more than enough staff on hand so you’re taken care of appropriately. Can’t wait to come back!
They always do a fantastic job!
My nails look beautiful every time I visit. The staff are friendly and I get to bring my dog to the shop. The prices are also affordable. If anything was not up to par, just tell the staff and theyll make it right. Ive never had a negative experience here.
The owner Kim is amazing! And the staff there are all very talented and detailed!!They always take very great care of me and they understand and remember what I like & so personable!! 10 stars for Polished Boutique and I highly recommend for everyone to make a trip there, you will thank me later!!
One of the best nail salons here in Capitol Hill and my monthly go-to for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure which takes only about an hour. 5-star rating for service, cleanliness, wait time (only if arriving during less busy hours/happy hour as a walk-in) and overall experience. My shellac nails can last about 3.5 weeks before they start to chip or peel which is way better than the 1-2 weeks that Ive experienced from another salon. My favorite part about going in for my nails are the mini massages they give after finishing the manicure and pedicure :D Also, the ladies who have regularly done my nails are so sweet and take pride in their work. A special shout-out and thanks to: Kia, Han, Thuy, Wendy, Lynn, Vi and Anna (I hope I spelled your names correctly). And thank you to their wonderful manager, Kim :D
Walked right in and was promptly seated with a nail technician on a Sunday afternoon. I showed her a picture on Pinterest, and she did exactly what I asked for! A lot of nail techs aren’t fond of doing designs on natural nails, especially with gel polish, but Linda got it just right! I’ll be back to visit again.
I was a little intimidated at first. My first time in a nail salon. But I had an ingrown toe nail, I was hoping they could help. My feet aren’t exactly.... well let me just say I do the minimum, clip my nails and clean them. So I was a little concerned about being judged. But it was an amazing experience. I felt so good after, well groomed feet and no pain from my nail.Always professional and priced reasonably, esp during happy hour. I’ve been going there for several years now. Believe me if I didn’t like any aspect of the visit I would go somewhere else. But I feel so welcomed. I told several friends and now they go there too.
Love this place, the ladies are super nice, it is very clean and reasonably priced. They have a good variety of colors. The deluxe pedicure includes a 10 minute massage, hot stone massage and parafin wax among other amazing things. I do recommend making a reservation because they can get busy. They also have a punch card if you love it as much as I do!
This is by far the best nail salon in seattle! They never cut me, everything is clean and tidy, and theyre super nice. The nail artists take their time painting your nails and do it with much thought. The shellac lasts at least 3 weeks with me! The happy hour pricing is awesome! Love this place!
Had a great experience with my french shellac manicure (lasted more than 2 weeks and really nicely done). My pedicure didnt last my way home...I am glad I paid the Tuesday morning special.Sugaring lady was really nice but the major issue with that place is that only one lady speaks English...kind of hard to understand each other...disappointing
Perfect stilettos in cherry red just like I wanted, on less than 24 hours notice and in a pinch. Lasted almost a month before I broke a tip - I was starting my lawn mower, go figure. Excellent experience, I could have gone somewhere else and spent less, but Im really glad I didnt. Will return again.
It always feels like I’m a burden when I come here. Not enough waiting seats and they rush you through picking colors. I got a shellac that was the wrong color, but I sort of liked the new color so I didn’t say anything. Within 2 days it was totally chipped on multiple fingers! Not worth the $!!!!
I have been to several salons, and this is by far the best. The staff are mature and professional, the atmosphere is intimate and friendly, and the creative approach to nail care is beautiful. I have strangers stop to tell me how pretty my nails are.
The spot is not what it used to be. It’s so crowded and it feels like you’re in an assembly line in here. The lady who checked me out was really nice but I just won’t be coming back. It’s just cluttered as heck and I need something slightly more organized for my already busy mind. This spot used to be super classy and one of the nicer places to get a mani or pedi. My manicure (dip) is super puffy and just not my fave.
I love this place! I get my nails done(dip with tip) by Andy and he always does an amazing job!
They always squeeze me in and dont complain if I forget to ask for gel up front or need something fixed. Prices are just right. Its clean - and Im a total freak about nail salons being sanitized and pleasant. I come here about once a month. Want to beclassy but still fun? Try the pale pink glow-in-the-dark gel polish and thank me later!
I love this place. It is hands down one of the best manicures Ive ever had. The ladies are very nice and dont have a problem doing what you want. They also have matching shellac and regular polish, which is amazing when I want the same color on my hands and toes!
If you arent getting dip or acrylic, they dont care about you. Worst manicure I have ever walked out of a salon with. I did regular polish, and it turned out bumpy and uneven, and flooded into my cuticles, and then was left under the nail dryers-both were supposed to be for feet, but they put one in my lap that had just been drying someone elses toes with a towel under it for my lap- and I literally went home and took polish off. Pedicure was fine, but not really a great quality as I walked away with my feet still a peeling mess, but at least the polish is even and nice. I never leave reviews, but this was terrible. MY HANDS HAVE NEVER LOOKED WORSE. I had to reshape half of my nails when I got home. I went in with decent lengthy healthy nails and left with grit textured nubs. I am beyond upset. I could have done a better job at home, and I really wish I would have.
So fast and thorough. They have the best variety of dipping powder colors.
Always receive a thorough, even, full cleanup of my cuticles and nails. Came in with terribly dry cuticles from the winter and now feel confident pointing at everything, ha! Ive seen several nail technicians and have never been dissatisfied. Competative prices. Long lasting, new bottles with hip colors of CND gel shellac and dip powder. They take any special requests or designs seriously. Ive seen others walk out with perfected designs that far exceed the reference photos theyve brought in. Ive seen one customer ask them to repaint a (self inflicted) nick on their fresh polish THREE times without hesitation. They even give you a short neck and upper back massage--and put in the effort! Small location with a lot to boast. It seems others feel the same as they are always quite busy so call ahead!
Ana shes do really good job. And shes really nice, I miss her, Im busy I cant come lets shes do my nail done, Im promised when I have time Ill come with her and thats spa Asap.
The owner and staff are wonderful. this used to be SWOON, but changed ownership late 2010 and has become a great place to get all your pampering done. my daughter gets her nails done there, and she loves it. atmosphere is chill and everyone knows their stuff.
I am from NJ and I was visited Seattle when I decided to get my nails done here. The woman who did my nails did mine and two other peoples at the same time.... she just went back and forth between us so it was so rushed. She didn’t clean my nails or push back my cuticles.. my “gel” nails chipped the same day and they’re already falling off not even a week later. They really do a terrible job. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody.
When it comes to a nail salon, the most important thing to me is the overall quality and longevity of the manicure/ pedicure, which is why I waited 10 days to write a review. I got dip mani and gel pedi. First of all, instead of soaking of or filling off the old gel on my toe nails, they were going to peel it off using a cuticle clipper (makes me cringe just writing this out). I asked the nail professional to stop, and she did end up using the electric file to remove the previous Shellac. Secondly, the $45 dip doesnt include the actual manicure (cuticle removal, massage, etc). But I was going to overlook this, if the dip lasted. The nails came out looking great, but my dip chipped on the 6th day, without any strenuous or overexerting activity on my part. Overall, I had hoped to like this place more, because it is clean, and pleasant to spend time in, but having to redo my dip on day 10 is just not worth it.
Beautiful manicures! They can get busy but theres always a ton of staff on the weekends and afternoons so Ive never had to wait long. They also have tea, very relaxing :)
Last year my sister and I were trying to find a great nails place in Capitol Hill so we gave Polished a try. We made an appointment 24 hours in advance and showed up 15 minutes prior to our appointment time. The staff was incredibly rude to us. When we walked in no one greeted us so we stood awkwardly for a few minutes. Finally someone yelled from across the salon and said What do you want? Do you have an appointment? To which we replied yes. Then she yelled again Well you should let us know when you arrive so we dont cancel your booking. Go sit in those chairs. She pointed to some pedicure chairs in the corner. She was also doing someones nails at the time and practically yelling in her face. The whole salon was silent during this interaction. We were never given time to pick out our polish color for our toes so we were already feet-in-tub when they asked. My sister asked for Light peach to which the woman came back with orange. We politely said that wasnt really what she had in mind and asked for just a light pink. This prompted more yelling from the originally woman - what do you want? why didnt you pick your color? etc... It was extremely awkward and embarrasing. We went back one more time after this and had a very similar experience, more yelling and confusion. Instead of getting up to talk to you, you will be yelled at and shamed.
I was skeptical of going to a place like this, but the staff was really good and service and experience was great. Totally recommend the place.
Have had a very hard time finding a really good slot for acrylics, and Ive now got my go-to!!! The shape, the polish, the handling, all of it perfect. I even rebooked for my next fill appt. Very clean, lots of color options, fully staffed on a midday Monday.
Amy gave me the best manicure Ive ever had!! And Kim, the owner is a total boss. Best nail salon in Seattle.
Always consistent good quality nails.
Very organized, neat, and detailed work. Amy is the best! Super nice ladies
The owner, Kim, took such good care of me and hooked me up with a pretty set of nude coffin shaped points. She cares about the health and quality of my nails and it shows in her service and her product! Coming back for sure !
I love Polished! The atmosphere is classy, the staff is very kind and my regular pedicures there are wonderful; a massage and treat for these feet, not just polish!
Love this place! Everyone is so nice. It is a cool place but calm and peaceful. I love that it is not cramped or assembly line like some of the places I have been to since moving to Seattle. Shellac manis and pedis are my favorite. Parking can be tough so give yourself a few extra minutes.
Im from Minnesota and I had a wonderful experience!
Probably the best nail experience ever. Kim was very professional, the place was extremely clean and even a neck massage.
Carol is very helpful...they did a very good job on my nails...
Best manicure Ive received. Lasted forever. This is my go to spot now.
Great happy hour mani pedi special which includes a short massage! Very nice staff!!
The owner is so annoying, when she took my picture after my nail was done, i told her not to post it anywhere in social media, but guess what almost for two years she still having it on her Instagram, FYI cheek if your picture was used for advertising without your permission.
Woman owned business with a fantastic staff. My top choice for sure.
Ask for color changing polish if youre easily entertained 😂
Owner and staff are phenomenal. Wonderful attention to detail, very warm and welcoming.
Best nail salon ever!
Poor quality, rude employees. Never went back.
The service and staff is why I go there not to mention their professional talents as nail technicians.
Love this place!!
Clean and friendly
