Really good experience. I came in for gel nails and Lynn did a great job. They looked beautiful and lasted 3 weeks.4/5 stars because the final result did not match the picture I brought in. I was happy with my nails, but it also wasnt what I was expecting.Making an appointment was easy and there was no wait time when I checked in. Im glad I made an appointment because they were very busy, even though it was early afternoon on a Wednesday.

I have been coming here for 20+years. The technicians are very talented, some better than others depending on your preferences.My favorites are Lyn for acrylics and Cindy for pedicures. Helen, Mikayla, Lea are the ones my daughters,( 18,25 & 31 ), favorites.In all this time as a customer I have only been made to wait 2 maybe 3 times. Make an appointment and be on time because they are always busy and your seat will be given away if your not.The location is convenient with lots of parking in a safe large lot next to a Vons and food options. It is clean and comfortable.The technicians are always polite and sweet and will make conversation if you want but are also great at giving you quiet time.I have tried other places on occasion but I am ALWAYS disappointed. This is the best place!

The service professional was rushing all through the process, which resulted in the nail and gel color application to be not clean enough. The worst part is the gel nail color started to come off within few hours of application.

I absolutely love Nails 2000 of UTC. I live in college area and drive ALL the way across town for Lynn to do my nails. She is a perfectionist and very thorough with how she does a set. Her pink and whites are always beautiful and she even does festive things if you are up for it. Very sweet shop, crowded sometimes.. so an appointment is essential! She is off on Sunday and Mondays so hit her up in between! Best nail tech EVA!

They do an amazing job at Nail 2000 of UTC! Ive only done solar nails and gel/shellac nails. They are known for their shellac nails and for a good reason. They stay on, dont chip, and look amazing for at least 2 weeks. They are very meticulous in the way they do their manicures. They ask many questions about your preferences and dont take it personally if youd like them to change something. They put on two base coats and top coats as well as multiple color coats. They also put sunscreen on your hands when youre using the UV lights! I love that touch of thoughtfulness. My nails rarely ever break when Ive got shellac due to the many coats of polish. Its also reasonably priced. They are also known for doing ombre nails. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Nails 2000 is literally THE BEST nail salon I have ever been to. The technicians are so knowledgeable, kind and professional. I always get the best manicures from here and their prices are very reasonable. I love the fact that if your nails chip within two weeks they will fix it for free. Thanks again!

Had a great experience getting a pedicure, this will surely become my go-to nail spot. Called and made an appointment for the same day, I was in a chair within 5 minutes of arriving. I recommend getting the gel nails; its been at least 3 weeks since my visit and they havent chipped or budged at all.

Kay is amazing. My gel nails last a month!!! Definitely make an appt. It is always busy so if you want a pedicure and a manicure at the same time an appt is a must. If you have to wait go next door for a margarita. The bartender at the taco shop makes a great drink.

Love coming here! Kay, Mckayla, Judy, and Sophia are all awesome (everyone is awesome here). My friend and I used to come here regularly which all started because she loved how Kay did her manicure. So, now Im still going even though my friend moved away. The pedicures are amazing! They do gel, powder, regular polish, etc. Thursdays through the weekends are very busy, so make an appointment! I always feel so much better after I leave.

Been going to this place for many years. I use Holly the most for my gel manicures. She’s friendly and always does a great job. She’s a perfectionist and I truly love that. I have also used one of the men, I think his name is Martin, but I’ve only used him two or three times and for pedicures only. He does great massages.

Nails 2000 reasons to avoid this place! First they give me a manicurist that barely can see or knows what coffin shape is or how to properly file nails. I have a piece of hair from their dusty blue towels stuck in my white nails. As Im waiting for my nails to dry I ask the manicurist painfully filing a customers nails right next to me if they had a drying station and she blatantly avoided answering me. Then her customer said shes talking to you and the employee responds with I know she needs to ask her technician! I SAID BUT IM ASKING YOU! She said no. Walk to the front and the drying station is right there. Theyre lucky they got dollar from me. I will never be back. Treat yourself ladies dont cheat yourself by going to this low budget, basic skills, customer service lacking, crowded establishment. What a waste.

I went here a few months ago and decided to go back to my old place the next round per convenience of where I live. The girl doing my nails asked me where my 1 month grown out gel nails were from. She knew it was not from her store. The whole time she kept talking about how great the other place did and how she was nervous to do my nails for my bachelorette because they did such a good job. I realized after 2 weeks that the Nail 2000 of UTC was THAT good when mine started to chip. I went to get my nails done for my wedding HERE instead by local place! 6 weeks later they are still going strong (grown out and filed down by me haha) BUT they have no chips. These ladies do an amazing job and im going tonight if they have an appointment to get them finally removed and a new set put on! :)

Holly did amazing; above and beyond treatment. I was a walk-in w/o an appointment but I was seated within 15 minutes even thought it was such a busy Sunday morning.I love these nails; they are so well-done. Holly really took the time with the gel polish and you can see the outcome of such care.

I am from Seattle, and have been to every nail salon in a 35 mile radius at home, and nothing compares to the quality they do here at Nails 2000 UTC. I do just get manicures and pedicures, but this is the best place to get them done. Great quality, efficiency, and great service.

Genuinely unsure how this business doesnt have 5 stars. Every single time I come here, I am never disappointed. I always walk-in and they always get me in and out so quickly, even when they are packed. Please, the front desk lady, and I wish I knew her name, is so on top of her stuff! Shes the best. And dont get me started about the ladies doing your nails. No matter who I get, Ive always left feeling like my best self. Please dont go anywhere else.

I’ve been going to this salon since 2000 they do a stellar job always. I work in this area and I’m so glad they have been able to re-open during this COVID-19 time. They are super prepared and all protective measures are in place...waiting outside, consent forms, temp check, plastic dividers, masks, face shields, gloves - nobody wants to be ill, nobody. Love this place! Last time I came it was very busy, but they still did a great job and took their time with the pedicure massage and paint. Its not very smelly like some salons. The employees are so great and friendly and speak English very well. Easy to make reservations. They do a discount if you pay in cash and I believe only take cash tips.

I have been coming to Nail 2000 for a while and I have the best experience every time! Each technician is very careful and does great quality work. They are so consistent and the best part is they can get walk in quickly. I am so appreciative that I found this place, its my go to!

I have had my fill of nasty nail salons. I stumbled upon Nails2000 after having a bad experience at another UTC salon. Of the 30 mani pedi experiences I have had, only one chipped! I enjoy Jolie because she is a perfectionist, quiet and fast. Lisa is great too. If you like a strong massage ask for one of the guys. It’s a super busy place, always full. Appointments are really necessary. Drop ins expect to wait 20 to 30 minutes.

The service here is really good and the ladies are great and really take their time. Loved my nails. Extra charge with credit card so bring cash. They don’t break down how they charge, especially for add-ons.

I always to the same place in San Marcos but made an exception to come here with my friend, her mom and a friend of hers because my friend was getting married. So the good thing was that they had our chairs ready for us as soon as we walked in but the service was awful and I could tell that the management puts pressure on these girls to finish fast and they sure did but the service was bad and none of us were happy. They also charge a lot more than other places so they should be good.

I love my ladies and this place. And in my neighborhood!

Late Yelp Post(11/10/2016):I have been coming to this place for almost a year and have never got around to writing a review, so here it goes. Ive had my nails done by various nail artists and they always do an exceptional job! I always get gel manicure and regular, classic pedicure and I am never disappointed. I have never gone for a touch up because my nails are always on point and they dont break nor chip-theyre that good.

Given how pricy nail services can be in the UTC-La Jolla area, Nails 2000 is the perfect balance of quality at a great price. I have had several of the ladies, as I get a fill with gel polish regularly. I have been happy overall with everyone who I have worked with there. Judy is the best if you are looking for the almond-pointy trend! She is an artist! It is always busy, so having a reservation is almost a must, but is worth the wait all the same. I have definitely paid higher prices elsewhere for lesser quality, so this place is definitely a find and my go to nail destination even though I dont live in the immediate area any longer. It is definitely worth the special trip.

Jackie is the worst. She was extremely rude, and sniffling and sneezing all over me. The most terrible gel manicure ever. Polish was so thick that Kay had to do it over. Jackie left my fingers under the light for way too long causing me to get burns on my fingers. They burned so bad, I thought I would need medical care. I have been to numerous nail salons and have never experienced anything like this before. Please reconsider if you plan to go to this salon.

Judy is amazing

Ive gone here a few times, but due to the horrible experience I just had, I will not be back. Cindy was assigned to me for a broken nail (mind you I just had gels done a few days prior, no reason for them to break) and this girl couldnt have been more rude. I asked her questions and did not even acknowledge I was there. Completely ignored anything I had to say. She gouged at my nail even though I explained I have very thin nails and that she was hurting me. She then got frustrated with me that she had to file my nail down. She didnt even finish my one nail after she told the technician next to her she had another client. She got up and walked away. The next girl that sat down was very nice however but the entire experience for one broken nail was appalling. I explained to the manager that Cindy is very rude and for that reason I will not be back. There are too many nail salons in this area that I dont need that kind of service or lack there of.

They did a fabulous job!!! I love my nails and I will definitely be returning. They service was great and quick! I would recommend making an appointment because they get really busy, which is a good thing. Check them out for your self, you wont be disappointed.

Got a $28 (expensive in my opinion) less than average (no real massage or skin buffing) quick pedicure but the reason for the 2 stars was that my polish got super smudged about 20 minutes after leaving. It actually didnt even fully dry until about 40 minutes after I left. Youd think that if she used that many coats she would say be careful or something, but nothing. Now, I basically have to repaint them again myself. I dont have time for this and I wont be back.

I really tried to find a place where I can get good quality shellac nails and I found- nails 2000. I usually go to the same person, her name is Vicky, she does very good job since 2014. I have long nails and the manicure + shellac lasts 4-5 weeks for me, unless I broke it.

New Review:2nd Review: I had almost all nails on one hand break off. The girl that did my nails that time was negligent. She had to see the green forming on one of my nails but proceeded to fill...my nails were drilled so hard, they had deep indentations, and with them all breaking off, I just took them all off after soaking them myself then I went down there to talk to the manager because Ive had my nails done for years and I know good bad and indifferent. When you go in there, it is so hard to talk to anybody because you dont want to say anything in front of all the customers. I went through the back way and took her (the mgr) out to the back and we had a conversation and she was willing to have me come in and just charge me for a fill which I was going to do but my nails were so soft I decided to leave them off and Ill be coming back there soon. The reason Im going back is prior to this incident, Ive had nothing but excellent work done to my nails and since they were willing to make it right I will continue to be a customer.

My friend and I always paint our nails black before we go to a concert, and Im super sloppy with nail polish, so she convinced me to go here. The manager (love her) asked us what we needed, and we told her wed like our nails painted.The nail tech was very rude, and straight up said no to painting my nails? Even though I had already chosen the color, and then she charged me extra for painting my nails, even though she didnt?Literally, I couldnt get a refund until me and and my friend complained to the manager. What the heck.

The minute they knew I had a gift certificate they started to treat in a very rude manner. Second the manicure I got has lasted one day. I will never set foot in this place ever again!

Hands down best mani/pedi ever. It lasts, they go all the way down to the cuticle for your polish and have so many colors to choose from. They have two people work on you at the same time so you are done in an hour. Love this place and wont go anywhere else. I get my nails done every 3 weeks there and make an appointment which is so easy to do. French ombré is so pretty, would recommend that to anyone going there their first time!

I have been getting gel manicures and pedicures with Helen for 3 years. She has been wonderful. However when she has gone on vacation I have had the worst experiences with other technicians. They are very rude and competitive. Only a couple do actual acrylics and tips. Most do not there. So if you have a pinterest pic dont count on all of them being able to deliver.The ones to avoid are Mary, Cindy and Tina. They have been horribly rude and lied. For instance I was in last year when Helen was on vacation and had Mary. She lied about the availability of a navy blue color that I was getting every single time I was in there. She said it was not available, that I believe was because the owner was having an issue with it. (The english speaking girls have said they all dont like the owner who has cameras on them all the time and micro manages them from home, she overbooks and is supposedly very greedy etc.) But I was angry that the quality of my manicure was compromised because of their own internal politics. I did not use Mary again. And when Helen came back I was able to get my regular color.Tina said she could do ombres and did a HORRIBLE job and then when i said I didnt like, told me that due to the chemicals in the product, I had to deal with it for 2 weeks. She bold face lied too. That is not at all true. She just didnt want to fix it. And did not know how. One of the other technicians told me later that she knew she was doing an awful job because they were talking in Vietnamese about it.And then the final straw came this past week. I had a dance competition coming up and was leaving the following day. I needed a full set and a french ombre done. Cindy was assigned to work on me. And we got started. I showed her a Pinterest pic and it was very straight forward. She was dismissive. And said Well I want you to know it wont look like that. I will do what I can but I heard from my colleague that you are difficult and I am not going to try to please you. I was STUNNED that she would be so horribly disrespectful and visious to a customer that she had NEVER worked with. I would have walked out but I was in a horrible time crunch and sat through the rest in silence. It took her an hour and a half and she didnt finish the design. At the end she told me that I really didnt need the rhinestones that I had requested. That was a lie. She had taken so long that her next appt was there. And the owner shooed me out of the chair and said You have to go... maybe next time you can get the complete job. Seriously???? there were plenty of other techs that could have put on a few stones.I was enraged and stunned. Like I said Helen is wonderful and so is Leah who does pedicures. Both respectful and honoring of their clients. But do not by any means go here if you need more than a gel manicure. They are a sweat shop and under a lot of pressure from the owner and will throw you under the bus if they get it wrong.I hate to leave Helen. But am moving on. There are a zillion other places to go in the area.

OK, so my Shellac Nails lasted SO long that I had to cut them off because they were getting way to long (broke down at two and a half weeks). My only complaint is that they were not super careful with the design so it was very imperfect. They also didnt do the full on manicure treatment with my Shellac (no massage, no lotion, no oil, no nothin!) which was also due to them rushing us out since a big group of women came in. They ended up kicking a bunch of us out of the pedicure chairs to the massage tables. So that left me a little sad, the price was reasonable especially for a place where the gel manicures last forever! I will probably be back :-)

I have been coming to this nail salon for over 5 years. After my technician Mimi left, the other experiences have not been good. My nails only lasted 10 days max and they have a 2 week guarantee. The owner basically didnt care to address my needs or stand by their so called guarantee. I will not be returning to this salon and I do not recommend this place.

I wish I could give 0 star. I went there with my mom and our nails got infected. we went to the dr and dr said its for chemical they used caused infection.I went to get my money back and tell them about what happened to us and also let them know to prevent from further happening! Instead of help us they were so mean to us and they were talking with their laugage and yelling zero customer service So DONOT go there.Beside that most of my acrylic nails came off after two days and color came off too! Not only customer service horrible but also products they use are very bad!

I went to your shop with my friend and the lady, Stephanie, in the front was extremely rude. She lied about things she did or did not do, she made up excuses and when we had parent permission she said no your mom said no. She talked on the phone with my friends mom and she specifically said her mom said no and I responded saying that wasnt my mom. She completely ignored me and then she said we couldnt get it done. She made my parents mad and my friends parents mad, and especially my friend and I! I hope another time I can get my nails done without that lady saying no. 👿

This place is horrible they wouldnt let me and my friend get our nails done because we need parent permission so we called both our parents and they were fine with it and the nail lady who works at the front desk tried getting us in trouble by lieing because My friend called her step mom and asked and the nail lady talked to her and when they were done talking the nail lady hung up on Billies step mom and My friend got in trouble because her parents thought she hung up on her The nail lady made us cry because of how she treated us so my mom called her and asked her some stuff and the stupid nail lady lied to my mom saying she didnt hang up on step mom I almost got in trouble Hey Stephanie at the front desk way to act like Donald trump YOU SUCK!!!!!😡

I got a pedicure with exfoliation. My toe nails were cut uneven, the technician cut my toes when cutting back my cuticles. The leg massage seemed like a boring chore and was barely felt. I wanted a cute design on my big toe and you couldnt even make out what it was. I will not be going back.
