I wish I could give more stars. I’m never disappointed when I come here and I never thought I would find a salon that I like so much. I think my artist’s name was Ivy, she was very sweet and made sure my nails looked perfect before I left. I went in for a fill because the first set that I got at a different salon was horrible. Cash tip only so bring plenty of cash for ya girls cause they deserve every penny!

The service is excellent, and the majority of the staff are pleasant. The only issue I have with this place is that parking is a nightmare, so it took me 15 minutes to find a spot that gave me enough time to do my nails, causing me to be late. My friend and I were ten minutes late for our appointment, and they cancelled both of our appointments. Other places usually have a grace period, but not this one, and I was furious! Anyway, I went somewhere else for a pedicure and then came back for a full set. Ivy did my entire set, including an acrylic big toe and gel on my toes, and she was incredible! She is very detail-oriented, so she takes her time, but I left loving her work.

This place is great. Ive only been once but they are BUSY. And their prices are reasonable and the people that do your nails are kind and do a great job. I got dip on my nails and gel pedicure. I would definitely recommend going here.

I was very hesitant going to this business to get my nails done. The very first time I went I feel I was denied service. I walked in and they were booked, the receptionist that day told me to leave my name and number and hell call me in approximately 30 mins. I waited that 30 minutes for a call, never received it. So I want back to the business and waited to be called over because he seemed busy. With that being said he seen me waiting and he allowed over 5 women to go ahead of me. They didnt have an appointment or anything so I decided to leave.I went here recently because I wanted my nails done, got them done. In just the first day of me having them they proceeded to pop off.

I had high hopes for this place because a friend recommended it to me. I went in for a pedicure. The pedicure I got was not bad but not the greatest. My only complaint is the upselling the lady did with me. She asked me what kind of pedicure I wanted and I told her Id take the European pedi. Its basically a spa pedicure with callus removal.Within 10 minutes of starting she said you get sea salt I said no thank you. She said for dead skin and I replied, no im ok thank you.Then she asked me if I needed nails. I said again, no thank you. I just got mine done I had got my nails done earlier at a different salon. She kept staring at my nails and asked, did you do here? (She really couldnt tell. I counted easily said yes) but I said no. Then she says, they no good. You should do here. We do beautiful nails. It took me a second to grasp what she said so I said Im sorry I didnt hear you. and surprisingly she said it again, your nails no good.Very rude and to say with no remorse just to try to gain a customer. Clearly her method will not work. I will not return.

In the east coast and in Hawaii i had the best foot care management. This place is the best but i cant believe no one in san diego does the hot wax. You litterally dip you feet in this melted wax and it peels off. This place the girl i had was very focused and took her time

I came to Tippy Toes because of a recommendation from a friend. Everyone was very nice and the salon was clean, but I’m not super satisfied with my experience. The woman who did my pedicure cut my nail diagonally and now my toe is red and it hurts. For my manicure I picked a tan color and when they showed me the bottle I said it looked very pink, but they assured me it would dry tan. It dried a very pink color, but I didn’t have time for them to redo my nails. I really wanted to like this place, but the quality of my manicure and pedicure were not worth the price.

I called ahead and was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. I signed in and was given a temperature check. I was taken immediately for my pedicure. The service was great. I will definitely be returning.

I’ve been here before and liked it. Today the person doing my pedicure no joke received and made about 5 calls during my pedicure. Very unprofessional. She also didn’t say thank you after my $7 tip. And now I see and feel little cuts on my toes. I wont Be going back.

Gel and mani!! I absolutely loved the service here. My mom and I were a bit difficult in the beginning when it came to choosing colors but they never once showed attitude and always smiled and stayed kind. To top it off they offered drinks like wine juice and water and snacks. Found my dream salon. Plus 10 day guarantee!!

I’ve been to several nail salons in the area, but Tippy Toes is by far my favorite. Everyone here is welcoming and friendly. They have a 7 day guarantee in which if your nail(s) chips within that time, they’ll fix it for free. The two times I’ve been here, my gel manicure and regular pedicure lasted for around 4 weeks.The two technicians who did my nails and toes were skilled and attentive. I’ve been to so many salons where the technician is rushed, distracted, and constantly looks up and around while doing my nails simultaneously. I did not have that issue with either of my technicians at today’s visit. When there was a distraction, they stopped what they were doing to attend to it instead of attempting to multitask.Basic pedi and mani also comes with a massage, which is nice. The salon is chic, clean, and spacious. Parking is street parking, which can be tricky at peak times.

I get a gel manicure every 3 weeks. The first time I walked in, I got Ivy as a nail technician. I always have a great experience with her so now I book appointments. She knows how to remove old gel polish quickly, and just overall has great attention to detail. If youre someone who gets gel manicures on a regular basis, book your next appointment with Ivy!

I normally don’t get gel manicures because they would always feel too heavy for me, however I decided to try one today with Tiffany and I’m glad I did! She shaped and painted the nails with great attention to detail. The product is not too thick and feels comfortable to wear!

Always nice and chill. Needed a silk wrap for a broken nail (my middle nail broke almost completely off, cant even tell) and got a basic mani/pedi. Not crazy expensive, but still got exactly what I wanted the times Ive been here.

Great staff. Great selection of colors. Staff does great work. The prices are far from great (pretty high) but I guess you get what you pay for. Went in for a color change and was charged the same price as a full manicure/pedicure; seemed ridiculously steep to me.

So after reading the first page or so of comments here, I called Tippy Toes up and made an appointment for 12 noon the next day. I told her it would be two mani pedis (went with a friend) and that we didnt know the level of treatment we wanted. She seemed like she made note of it and I hung up.We got there at 11:40, parked right in front of the place (what a blessing!) and walked in. Not going to lie, the first couple of minutes were rough here. We waited awkwardly at the front desk trying to get enough attention towards us. I told the woman that we had a reservation/appointment for mani/pedis two or three times before they told us to go pick out colors. We get seated and still had to figure out nail colors. They have three or four books of colors! Which, someone actually took one of them from us for another customer...weird.Once I figured out my nail colors, it was pretty smooth sailing. Sandy did my toes and Tammy did my nails. I get gel on hands and normal on my toes. Less than a week later, still going strong on both.I normally have issues with bubbles on gel manicures that will make me pull it off so damn fast...but this time...no problems! I cant stop looking at them in all honesty! Trying to wait for something to go wrong. But they look so good still! Thanks Tammy!

They are very professional but i had a bad experience with the quality of the work. I was willing to pay anything for a good job but ended up paying $101 dollars for nails i didn’t like.

I got an acrylic fill and gel color from Ken. He was extremely careful and precise with his work. He also was very communicative about what my needs were. As a result my nails look amazing! He wrapped my hands in a warm towel after which was a nice extra touch. Will definitely be coming back here.

I’m back for the second time after such a great experience the first time! This salon is the cleanest I’ve ever been to. Always using new filers, buffers, and scrub brushes. Sweetest two ladies! I’ve worn my acrylics for a month and have not had a crack or any partially coming off. If it wasn’t for my nails being grown out I wouldn’t have a reason to come back. I got a basic pedicure with a sea salt scrub and a full set of chrome gel acrylics and it only cost me $65!

My go to mail salon. Comfy massage chairs. They offer wine, champagne, water, tea, coffee and snacks. So many colors and brands to choose from. If you cant find a good color in thre first batch of nail color book, ask for more. They cant give them all to you at once, they have tons.

Absolutely outstanding! As a first time customer, my expectations were exceeded and I am hooked! I called about a half hour ahead and got an appointment for a pedicure. When I arrived, they sat me with limited wait time. From there, things just got better! The staff was super friendly and professional. My feet feel and look AMAZING! I will def be back!

I did the nail dip at Tippy Toes and it’s AMAZING. The nails are pricey, but it lasts for so long and the manicurists work so hard that it is well worth it. I was very impressed with the salon, and the people. My one tip is to call ahead!!! They’re VERY busy and sometimes you will wait a while if you do not call.

One of the best manicures I’ve gotten in a while honestly. I had Sylvia and she was precise and gentle. All the women who work here are very sweet.

Meh. This place is more quantity over quality. Heavy handed with the grinder to take off the previous gel manicure. Clipped the cuticles but didnt push them back. Theres a noticeable gap between the polish and my cuticle and Im home picking the polish off my skin and looking at the bubbles in the polish on my nails. Not ghastly, but I wont be back.

Acrylic nails done today for my lady. The result has nice color, unfortunately rude service. First time visit; owner assumed she knew the routine. Asked her to wash her own hands. Asked her not to watch her work. Very rough, quick and careless in the work itself. She called at other employees loudly directing them to do other things. Not a relaxing peaceful environment. $40 to remove old and add new gel paint.

This is the salon that I started my nail journey at. After going for many months I have mixed feelings. The actual building is very high end and as nice as it gets and the books that you choose your nail color from are unique and very fun to look through. The only problem that I have with this salon is the technicians. Ive had very mixed quality of work. One time Ill go and my nails will be thick and sloppy while the next time I go they will be very well done. I always got the feeling that the technicians were not very experienced or well trained. Overall you can get better work for lower prices.

Annie is amazing at nails. She does great designs and is super friendly.The environment is always clean and pretty. If you want some awesome nails go to Annie especially for ombre nails.

Made a 5pm pedicure appointment, arrived at 445pm and was told to come back at 6pm. I asked why they didnt call me and tell me before I drove to Hillcrest in the rain and they told me to sit in the chair and I would be seen. Then the 430pm appointment that apparently hadnt been seen yet rightfully complained. They all looked confused and I said nevermind, Ill take my business elsewhere. Why make an appointment if walk-ins take precedence? Never going back. Turned the corner in Hillcrest and was immediately seated in another salon.

I came in today to get a pedi & full set, my other place was to packed so I thought Id give them a try. Their customer service sucks! They didnt speak to me at all, even when I tried making conversation and their prices are way to high. I give them credit they did good on my finger nails but my toes she hurt pulling my ingrown out (others have done it without that much pain). I just looked down and my toes are already chipped. They acted like they were in a hurry. I would recommend somewhere else

Went here to get my gels removed and have clear coat put on. Total cost was $20, I gave $25 with tip. She didnt get all of the gel as I discovered later, but she said she wanted to be gentle with my nails since Im trying to grow them longer and I naturally have brittle nails. I appreciate her efforts. There was a bit of a wait, which surprised me because when I called ahead they told me not to make an appointment as there was plenty of availability. Im assuming it got busy between when I called and when I arrived? Either way though, this was a nice experience.

My initial reaction to the salon was pretty good. The salon is pretty and well organized, and the gentleman that sat me down was super nice. Noon was the woman that did my nails. When she finally came, she grabbed my hands in a very rude and heavy manner, I explained to her that I have a pain in my right hand from nerve damage and she continued to squeeze my fingers and press hard as she removed my Nexgen. She did not introduce herself, didn’t say “hi,” didn’t greet me, just simply grabbed my hand and began the process. Her coworkers would come up to her while she was doing my nails, speaking in a foreign language, and would snicker and look down at me and my nails. I asked to just get a regular manicure because my nails were severely damaged from continuous Nexgen over the last couple months and it seemed like she was upset about that. As she was removing the power dip nails, the piece of the product flew into my eye and she giggled. I lifted my hand to try and remove the piece and she got irritated that I did so and kept trying to take my hand back. After she finished painting my nails, she grabbed her clothe, walked off and didn’t come back, I wasn’t really sure if she was done or not as she didn’t even say anything. I waited for a couple minutes, then got up to pay. When the receptionist asked if everything was okay I explained what had happened and she was very sweet about it. She offered me a discount and to redo the nails however I was very uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. I’m sure there are other nail techs there that are very nice and sweet, however I had a terrible experience with Noon and would make sure you ask who you’re scheduling with before you go. I have never written a bad review in my life, however I felt that it was necessary today so this does not happen to another person. I am not writing this review to get her fired or in trouble, just wanted to make sure that all customers are treated the same, with respect, even if they aren’t getting the most expensive or extravagant services.

I made an appt today for 5:30, I confirmed on the phone with Sarah that I would be seen at 5:30 since the last couple times I would make an appt and get there only to find out no one has any idea what Im talking about. How you continue to run a business like this is beyond me.I get there and again - no one is available to do my nails at 5:30. They finally put me in a pedicure chair at 545 and I keep reminding them that I need to leave by 7pm. I continue to ask who will be doing my nails and they keep telling me that someone will come by. Finally someone sits down to do my nails at 6:25pm in which obviously they will NOT be done at 7pm. I had an appt at 7:15 elsewhere that I couldnt be late for hence why I made my appt at 5:30 thinking 1.5 hrs is enough time for a basic gel mani & pedi. If they were short staffed or knew that you wouldnt be able to take me at 5:30 then they shouldve never confirmed that appointment! I couldve easily came the next day had you just been honest instead of just yes-ing everyone to death and not really being able to handle the volume of customers. WASTE OF MY PRECIOUS TIME! Many other customers had the same thing happen to them since I heard a few other ladies complaining that they also had appointments at 5:30. THIS DEFEATS THE POINT OF MAKING APPOINTMENTS IF YOURE NOT GOING TO HONOR THAT TIME!Im honestly really upset, disappointed and just overall disrespected by the lack of care and customer service. I now have to waste another 2 hours on another day to ACTUALLY get my nails done. Ive been coming here for over 3+ years and I will NEVER step foot into this place again. Shame.

I decided to pamper myself and get a mani/pedi today. Cute place, clean and the girls helping me were just the right about of conversation.Everything was great here. Except for a patron. Sitting in my chair, Im enjoying the top 40 station playing until I hear an entitled, high pitch voice start berating a tech. Not only was she complaining about the nails (which looked great), but she was personally attacking the tech.The tech took the berating for about 5 min and decided to stand up for herself.And you know what? You go girl! You stand up and dont tolerate that behavior. You didnt deserve it. You tolerated more abuse from a hypocrite than I would. Perhaps if your client followed the musings on her water bottle - life would be better. Make tea, not war.Yall keep doing what youre doing and dont back down when someone pulls that behavior.

This place is beautifully decorated with nice new furnishings and colors. However, the customer service and overall service here is terrible. I went in yesterday for a mani/pedi that took over 2 hours as the staff dealt with phones, walk-ins, and other customers. All the while, the manager/owner sat outside on the patio chatting with a vendor. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

I take my review back. Annie is great and all but the staff needs to learn how to schedule more efficiently not only did I have to wait 45mins for an appt I made but they made me late to other things I had to do and I had to rush and get something I did not want.

I used to love this spot, and was a regular... But they no longer take appointments for manicures and are always too busy every time I try to visit, so I had to take my weekly business elsewhere :(

Manager here is horrible, has no clue how to handle any conflict or problems. very over prized for what u get. They over book the same girl, there never on time for appointments, if you have a problem they try to blame it on u, it must of been something you did wrong, they brag about giving u a card for your pedicure so on the 9 th one u get it free well good luck getting the card stamped the owe me 5 stamps and refuse to give them to me . Don’t waste your time, they don’t appreciate your busineess,

This is my go to place for my Mani Pedi. I stumbled upon it about 3 years ago from a Groupon, and I havent been anywhere else since.Jenny is my girl for nails. I get gel polish every 2-3 weeks. Everywhere else Ive ever gone starts peeling off after the first 5 days. Tippy Toes has a 10 day guarantee that if it starts to peel, they will fix it for free. Ive never had to use it though because Jenny does such a good job, the gel stays on for the full 3 weeks. While Jenny is my absolute favorite, Ive also had Tracy and Sarah have also helped me when Jenny was off. Tracy does a fantastic job, and is super quick. Sarah is the master of nail art. If you need something fancy with a design, shes a great person to book with!Vivian is my go to for my pedicure. She has strong hands and gives the best massage! I basically live in Flip Flops because...well...San Diego... so my calluses always need to be filed away, and she does a great job of this as well. All the girls really takes their time and you definitely get more than your moneys worth.I definitely recommend checking this place out. The accept walk-ins, but can get busy because theyre so great, so its best to make an appointment.

I hace bien here twice. My usual place was booked up and I thought to try tippy toes. The service during my appointment was good and nice, though very quiet. I left satisfied with my gel mani, only to be back a week later with a peeling manicure. They re did 2 nails, and fixed 2 more. Its 2 days later, still under their 10 day warranty and they are coming off.Im used to my gel mani lasting me 2 to 3 weeks. Not 1. I wont be coming back here regardless of how pretty it is or the complementary wine if my gel mani is falling off within 10 days... try are your own risk.
