My son and I get our haircuts by Jean or Eileen exclusively. They give great beard trims too. I have been going there since Jean cut hair on Newport Ave. in OB. All the OB news is heard while u wait. The barber chair is comfortable and the reading material is ample. They are the best....

I am a 55 year old San Diegan who has had the good fortune of finding an excellent barber who has been cutting my hair for the past fifteen years. Her name is Jeanne and she is the owner of The Cliffs Barber Shop. The shop itself is on the small side (one chair), which indicates that hair cutting here is considered an art, as compared to multi-chaired shops that are geared for mass production. If you should ever want to learn about whats been going on in Ocean Beach during the past twenty years Jeanne can tell you, and if she doesnt know the answer to a specific question shell know someone who can. Jeanne and every one of her clients that Ive ever ran into while waiting for a hair cut, are all very friendly and I treasure all the conversations that Ive had with them. Last but not least, Jeanne is one of the rare barbers who includes the trimming of unbecoming hairs that crop up as one gets on in years, including nostril hairs, hair emanating from your ears, eye brows, and your mustache! Once she has brushed off any loose hairs that may have fallen around your collar and you get up from the chair, you can look at yourself in the mirror and feel that youre looking your best! Ive missed having her cut my hair during the past six months because I wanted my hair to grow to a length that will accommodate the style of haircut that Im hoping that shell be able to give me. I call it the Donald! After the man who has made it famous, Donald Trump!
