Don’t pay attention to any of these 5 star review— the residents do them in order to get more points on the reward system they have here! This place has great amenities but the management is absolutely terrible. The hallways remain filthy, the front office people seem not to care about any of your problems and the property manager is apparently always out when I try to talk.Applying was a terrible experience everyone gave me different prices, deals, deadlines and I never received any communication regarding the status of the application when it was “pending” for over a month.The mailbox keys the gave us didn’t work and no one had any sense of urgency to get them fixed. We waited weeks for them to tell us something and nothing was said not even an apology.The elevators, hallways, and stairways stay filthy and they always stink! It seems like no one cleans anything here if nots in the club house!Final straw is parking! TWO of my friends car got towed in their RESERVED spots Bc their license plates were different but they still had the RESERVED PARKING STICKER IN THEIR CAR! and no one at the front desk seemed to care!Do not live here if you want management to be your friend and help you. It’s my daughters first year in college. I was nervous as most parents of her going off on her own and wanted a safe student housing location. This place is hands down easily rated a 5star. From the moment of our tour to the move in day, I knew she was in good hands. All the other students seemed down to earth and everyone was very friendly. She’s made friends easily. Definitely a plus especially after her senior year was taken from the effects of COVID.

Sterling has frequent trash at the common areas such as their pool. There hot tub is also green at times as pictured below. They also have yet to clean dog poop from the hallways that has been there for over a month. Management here has yet to make changes to improve the complex.

Had a great move-in experience. Have done several move-ins with my kids at various universities/cities and this was THE best of them all. Well done.

A trash company, constantly closed the pool due to other people entering, punishing their own residents, no real security to enforce rules to even check if people entering the pool are from Sterling, of course people will enter when you have NO ONE guarding the pool I absolutely loath upper management, their own saving grace is the sweet person in the front named DAISY! It is a complete trash company and outfit, My friend had his truck stolen from the 5 floor, also they are shady when it comes to charging, HONESTLY, STAY AWAY.

Do not live here and do not fall for the penthouse scam they try and pull on you. They lie and tell you that you only have access to the penthouse floor but literally anyone can go in the elevator and make their way up to the penthouse floor. On top of that they charge $40-$60 a month to park into an awful parking garage with no space. I unfortunately am living on the penthouse floor and paying extra for nothing at all besides a mini fridge. It always stinks here and its very dirty. Why does someone paying an extra $100 a month for rent not have guaranteed parking. I was towed my first week here and it costs $250 to get it out. They really feed off the pockets of college students. Dont get fooled by the looks because once you live here its awful.

I lived here for a year and it was the worst experience I have ever had with student housing. Throughout the year there were several times where the wifi would cut out in the middle of me doing homework or taking an exam, the building is always dirty, they tow everyone, the pool was always closed, printers always out of ink, and the staff is mediocre once you sign the lease. You also have to move out on July 15th, but still have to pay a full month of rent and electric, and they will most likely make up charges to charge you more money for damages that dont exist. My apartment was spotless and they tried charging me $100. DONT MOVE HERE

I recently came in for a tour with my three friends, Daisy was welcoming and nice from the start. She went over COVID protocols that the complex follows which made me feel safe! She went over different floor plans that were budget friendly, Daisy went the extra mile and gave us a great break down of the one time fees and explained the rates well. Even offered to walk us though the lease when we were ready to sign. Overall had a good tour experience and was impressed with how well she knew her information, and how Sterling Heights is clean and safe.

Stayed here, moved out in February. I was charged for damages that I did not do. I asked for maintenance multiple times to fix issues I had and they never came and if they did they did not fix the issues. Now that I have moved out they want to charge me even more. Any time you call and ask for help all they say is refer back to your lease. Its in the lease. I called to speak to a human not a robot who directs me back to my lease. Id avoid this place as much as possible lease at another apartment this place is a money pit and not worth it.

Sterling Heights is one of the nicest apartment complexes in San Antonio. Plus they have this girl named Kat that works in the office who is really nice and pretty cute;)

The apartment community is really moce and help full. Units are really great an clean. The best part is you can have privacy of your own. Kitchen and tv room is shared other that you have good privacy. Gym is pretty clean and available all the time. You can make good friends. Study rooms are available and also you have your own study or computer desk in your room.

My girlfriend had called the front office and had questions regarding the application process and the lady who answered the phone seemed annoyed and proceeded to hang up the phone on her. Not a great look for a future resident wanting to see how their student housing staff would treat them.

Sterling Heights is the best place to be! I have had the best experience possible. I love that I always feel at home and that I always feel safe. I also love how friendly the staff is, especially Kat! She has always been so helpful and always answers any questions I may have. I know she will always be there if I ever need anything. If you are deciding to live here, do it! It will be the best decision you will make.

Living at sterling heights has been a great experience, despite my truck being stolen from the garage...Despite that incident, Ive had a great time in this apartment complex as staff is always professional and truly care about the residents.The building has great amenities. A two story gym with modern equipment, an amazing pool scene, and a dog park that my dog enjoys. There is not a better place to live in the area and every penny is worth it. Dont get swayed by low prices elsewhere, sign at sterling and experience HIGH QUALITY student living.

Living at Sterling Heights was fine at first, but once you get settled in there are so many problems. The internet cuts off every weekend, the parking garage was built for half of the amount of people they house, and none of the amenities were ever working. You pay a high price for many things in this complex yet all you got where closed signs. I understand this is luxury living but the amount of fees you are charged is ridiculous, on top of the high rent. There are many other options for student living besides this place that offer similar features for half the price and 20Xs less the headache.

Sterling Heights is a beautiful complex with amazing amenities. The pool view is absolutely stunning. Great patio space, a dog park, and even a place to lock your bikes in the garage (which is nice if you use that for the short commute to campus). The inside of the apartment has very nice updated features and a great layout.

I just signed my lease two days ago and I am absolutely excited to move in already! Overall, my experience has been amazing and especially because of Daisy, who has been super sweet with me and has provided the BEST attention by following up with me continuously and assuring that my needs are met. From the moment I walked in the complex, I knew that Id be calling Sterling Heights my new Home! I am truly happy for the wonderful staff and for Daisys OUTSTANDING service!!!

We moved our son in last year and he loves it. Very clean with great amenities. I wish we had access to a gym like they have there. It’s awesome that they have a dog park in the complex also. If you are a parent and are looking for a safe environment for your college son or daughter to live this is the place!

Everyone that works at sterling is extremely friendly. Kat and Jason in the leasing office are so helpful when it comes to answering any questions I may have, and they are intentional on making person relationships with everyone that walks into their office. What I love about Sterling is that they treat each resident as more than just that, but as a friend and someone to care for.I also really appreciate the amazing amenities that come with the complex. The pool area and outside lounge is a great place to take a break and relax. I enjoy having everything I need right at Sterling rather than going back and forth to campus to go to the gym or study. The Peloton bike and the other equipment in the gym is AMAZING, and the study rooms make late night studying so much easier.

This is by far the best student housing complex near UTSA. If you want your moneys worth, definitely sign at Sterling and spend your college experience here!! The walk through with Daisy of Sterling Heights offerings was Easy and Very Enjoyable! She broke everything down and gave a GREAT run down of the building. Sterling is probably the best place to live in student living. Unlike other student living, sterling is very secure, safe, and affordable. Also it’s brand new so they have the best stuff. Make sure you ask for Johnny and book a tour with him.

The staff have been helpful and accommodating. They are quick to answer phone calls. I have no first hand experience of the apartment unit yet, but up until this point, my experience with Sterling Heights has been satisfactory. They offer lots of compelling amenities.

Toured with Daisy and she is literally the best & sweetest person I have ever met. She made it a priority to make sure my family and I were comfortable and understood everything she had to say; even going as far as talking to my parents in spanish so they felt comfortable. She was so considerate of my budget and made sure that I knew what to expect before making any decisions

Update: Everything below is correct, however, the towing company that Sterling Heights uses (Bexar Towing), is located 21 miles away from SH. Texas law states that you can only tow a vehicle 10 miles away without special written permission from an officer. (They did not have special written permission from an officer) and therefore broke the law. This is actually reason enough to sue, and I suggest you do JUST that. Sue the hell out of themTowed my car 3 times, even though I lived here. Lied to me about the availability of rooms even though I had to move due to an actual emergency. The grills were messed up and, according to an employee, a “danger” to use. (Hopefully THATS been taken care of) The hot tub did not turn on until midway through March, completely devoid of any use during the winter or fall. More often than not, the printer was messed up or the coffee machine was out. Moved a person into our apartment without any sort of notification whatsoever. If you like apartments that are incapable of keeping people out of your room, or keeping people from taking your car, choose Sterling Heights!

Love the fact that it’s a new property and close to UTSA! Also had a chance to talk to one of the employees there her name was Daisy, and she was very informative and Nice. Definitely would recommend to other College students!

The staff was unbelievably helpful. Just from stopping by one time I could tell it was this is where I wanted to live. The pool is so nice and clean. Rian, the leasing manager answered any and all questions I had and was very nice, if you’re in the San Antonio area this is the place to be!!!!

I do not recommend living here. My experience so far has been less than average. I was promised security cameras, special security specifically for 5th floor, hotel style hallways, etc. Not to mention that maintenance will freely walk in uninvited and knock on my roommates and my room door without any notice that they are coming. There have also been multiple car break ins recently. If it wasnt for the pool and convenience to campus I would not live here.

I recently signed a lease here for the fall, and I cannot wait for move-in day! I’ve been living on campus for three years now, and I finally get to experience off-campus living. I toured five other off-campus apartments, but nothing compared to Sterling Heights. My experience with the staff was phenomenal. They answered all of my never-ending questions and gave me the peace of mind I needed to sign the lease. Special shout-out to Larissa for being consistently helpful!

This complex is seemingly amazing. The office staff are courteous and friendly and knowledgeable of all aspects of the complex. Sterling Heights is unrivaled by the surrounding apt complexes and looks as if it will provide a superior living experience. It’s leed accreditation is an added bonus. The signing incentives are quite vague and were not mentioned until I asked about them. They are great incentives however seem as if they are still figuring them out. Nonetheless it is a beautiful property with astounding amenities and I look forward to living here in the fall.

Outstanding service from Kat and the Sterling Heights Management Team. Approximately 2 weeks ago I got into a severe car accident to which was almost fatal. My car was totaled and it was a devastating loss. I lost access to the garage, and had no way of entering with my new vehicle. The first associate (whom I will not name) was not very understanding of the situation, and told me I had to pay full price to receive access to the garage again and I was left to park outside.. simply, I expected to be treated better than just somebody who pays rent. I visited the front office once more, this time Kat’s consideration of the predicament and kindness lightened up my day. She went out of her way and lent me a visitors pass for that weekend while I got everything situated. That amazing class act is an understatement of how customer service should be. The following Monday, management only charged me half of the price and immediately gave me access to the garage without hesitation. That is why I love to call Sterling Heights my home, because of people like Kat, and the management team make the difference in this line of business.

I am very excited to be moving to Sterling Heights for the upcoming fall. It’s seems like it going to be the ultimate place to live. From all the pictures, and videos Im sure it will be the best off-campus apartments ever. The staff was really nice and well rounded in their knowledge about the facility. They have answered all my questions, and gave me a lot of confidence in my decision to make Sterling Heights my new HOME!!

Although Sterlings employees are lovely and the amenities/apartment units themselves are well worth it, we were promised a lot of things that are not actually provided.I pay $20 extra per month to live on the exclusive and high security 5th floor, but the scanners/elevators have been broken for 70% of the time that Ive lived here, and even when they do work, you can still easily access the 5th floor through the garage and stairwells with no special scanner. Just the other day, Sterling promoted the 5th floor special access scanners on their instagram, literally while 2 out of 3 elevator scanners dont even work right now. The complex doors havent been locked for the past 3 months, there is no community gate, and we are definitely not in a secluded area so anyone can just walk in. Security usually only comes Thursday-Sunday, and I almost never see them on the 5th floor, although I was told that we would have our own security on our floor at all times. I am pretty sure there arent any cameras in the hallways or garage, as there have been multiple car break-ins and dogs have peed all over the hallways/stairwells. Overall, Im extremely surprised by how much my roommates and I were lied to when we signed our leases; we were also told (by managers) that there would be certain features available to us that we have heard no word about since before we moved in. Im sure they did not have ill intentions, however these features should never be promised if you are unsure that they will even be implemented.I think that Sterling is a beautiful place, and definitely has luxuries to it. If you are not very with concerned with security, or are not planning to live on the 5th floor, then Im sure you would love it here. However, if these issues are going to continue, I genuinely hope that you re-think how you promote this place- specifically the penthouses. Its really upsetting to move in here primarily for security reasons, only to find out that its kind of a scam. Ive spent the majority of my time living here making excuses and saying that its because the complex is new and things are still being worked out, however after a year of the same problems, it just seems to me that the 5th floor is more of an aesthetic than an actual benefit, which is pointless in my opinion. If I had known that when I first visited Sterling, I probably would not be living here right now. Also, there are multiple glowing reviews, saying how great it is to live here, by people that have never even lived in this complex and I find that concerning.

By far the BEST student living apartments at UTSA. Newly built and great customer service making sure that all residents have a positive experience. After my bad experience at The Reserve this place does not compare to anywhere else.

Just moved into these new luxury apartments and I am in love! The pool side view is amazing, the gym is 24/7 & has 2 stories as well as a workout studio, there are several study rooms around the building and there is valet trash which means I don’t have to walk to a dumpster to throw it out :)10 out of 10 would recommend Sterling Heights!

Signed with Sterling Heights on the 3rd day of opening. The amenities are absolutely amazing! There is not another student living around the area that offers what Sterling Heights has to offer. I wanted to wait a whole month before posting a good review about the apartment rather than just the amazing staff.So far, this apartment complex has worked super hard for these 5 stars. I have lived in so many different apartment complexes, and by far, this is my favorite stay.The staff is still as helpful as ever. I had a never ending list of questions for them and every single question is addressed and they never look annoyed that I’m constantly going to the front office and texting them. Along with the front office/leasing staff, the maintenance here is amazing! We’ve had to call a few times due to washer, ants, and fridge issues. I am not even kidding when I say, they didn’t even wait 24 hours. If the work order was done late at night, they were there before noon the next day. My fridge was turning off randomly and within the hour they were inspecting it, and within 2 hours they were out of my apartment and my fridge was fixed.The amenities are 10x better now that I’ve been able to utilize them daily. The gym is phenomenal! There are some things in this gym that not even the campus rec has. And the fact that it’s down the hall from me is the best factor. I no longer have to drive and fight for parking. And the study rooms are perfect for late night studying. During the summer semester, I would stay there studying for finals until 4 am. I love the fact you can lock it from the inside for extra security, and you cannot get in them without a key. But to add on to that layer of security, I saw the security guard making his rounds and he would always insure that I was doing okay (thank you thumbs-up security guy).Overall, my experience with this apartment is just spectacular. The staff make me feel like Im at home and the apartment itself is so cozy I even feel like I am home away from home. I’m already looking forward into leasing for 2020-2021! Was in San Antonio looking for our son to live next semester and he has been pestering his father about some new place that was going up near the school. So of course my husband says we will start there and use that as the gauge for the day. First it really is across the street from the school and it really is a very nice looking new place. The young man that gave us the tour was very nice and knowledgeable. The rooms were amazing as well as the all of the amenities. Husband and I were waiting for the punch of course the cost, we had already had a pretty good idea of the price range of the different areas and when we heard the cost of this place well we were done for the day because it is comparable to the rest. Thanks guys we got to spend the day having fun in San Antonio instead of apt searching!

I am super excited for Sterling Heights! This property is by far the BEST student housing option near UTSA, with so many wonderful amenities, apartment features, amazing office staff with exceptional customer service, security features, property events, and more! I have had a really terrible experience with other student housing properties, it was very discouraging. However, Sterling really changed my mind and it is honestly the best housing option available.
