These people are amazing. They did my oil change, checked my lights, battery, tires, etc., etc. The were a very professional, friendly, efficient team. Ive never had service this good in any kind of business. Ever.

Showed up at 7:25am for a NC annual inspection. Was second in line. I was told it would be a 10 minute wait. 40 minutes later and Im still waiting. I was under the impression that the bay on the left was for inspections, but they did a fair amount of work on the truck in front of me. Im not sure how any employee would have guessed 10 minutes. Needless to say, nobody ever provided me with an update. So I waited. I could over hear the employees talking about how other employees were late an how they needed them there. Aside from the lack of update on my wait (quadrupling the wait without notice is pretty unreasonable), I dont necessarily fault the employees, although they did completely avoid eye-contact with me as I kept hoping they would come over and provide me with an update. Its simply understaffed and / or managed poorly. As a customer, I did not feel as if my business was important. I would be embarrassed if I managed it or owned it. I didnt leave there until 8:35, so it was more than an hour for what should be a 10-15 minute inspection (two empty bays the entire time). Sad, I used to take my vehicles there all the time and recommend it to others, but theres no way I can return and I will suggest others avoid the shop as well. Poorly run.

I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE EVER AGAIN! The engine cover underneath my car was almost completely off and dragging on the road right after I left, they did not secure it at all, and they also took all of the screws! Robert, the man who did my oil change asked me for my number and I think he did this just to spite me because I politely said no! I have never experienced such terrible service… not to mention they did not check my fluids or my tires or anything else! 10 OUT OF 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

There was a short wait and the staff was very polite. I’m use to people in the mechanical field being a little crude and not very customer service oriented. These guys were great. A little pricey compared to other similar “drive thru” type oil change places, but I’d pay the extra to be treated this nicely again.

My sister took her car her for an oil change and tire rotation. The tech damaged the stud threads. The manager said they couldn’t find a replacement until Monday, my sister literally looked up Mazda parts and there was a dealership less than a mile away that had the part. The also told my sister it was safe to drive without a lug-nut. That is absolutely unsafe and completely unprofessional and dangerous to have even suggested it. I would not recommend coming here especially if you are a women as they will try to take advantage of you.

This place is normally decent and fast. Until they aren’t. I waited over an hour to get an inspection just to get out of the car and be told their machine isn’t working. I left work early for this.

Ive been coming to this location for oil changes and other miscellaneous services for 6+ years. Ive used other locations, but this one always has wonderful service! Theres never a long wait time and the team members are very polite and knowledgeable. Getting my oil changed today, the gentleman helping us, Josh, went above and beyond. He was so polite, well spoken and friendly. I cant say enough good things about this Valvoline location.

I came here for just a quick service, Ive been waiting for 25 minutes and no one has talked to me. Every employee has mad eye contact with me but it seems like my business is not important. Its definitely not the same it use to be, I would rather do my business with jiffy lube. They wont let me spend 25 minutes on the lot without being talked to.

Ive only been here once, but the manager was kind and got me into near closing to get a state inspection. If they have that kind of service routinely, I recommend stopping by.

Most expensive oil change in Raleigh! $$$$$75 for a conventional oil change on a Honda Civic? Those are dealership prices. I highly recommend finding a different oil change place that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

As a regular customer of valvoline instant oil change on Falls of Neuse rd, I have to say I had the worst experience ever today at this location.I pulled in at 10:50am with one car in progress in front of me and one car in between me and that. One car in progress to my left and no cars in the left most bay. They greeted me and told me 30 minute wait.At 11:30 a Jeep pulled up to my left and after 10 minutes they pulled the jeep in completely ignoring that was there first waiting 40 minutes.I got out of my car and informed them I was next, there was a lady working and she was extremely rude, telling me I’m wrong and the jeep was first and to get back in my car. The manager crawled out from under the Mercedes Benz in front of me and corrected the girl saying I was first, but they never asked the jeep to pull out and put me in my proper place in line. So rude! At this point I’m already upset.After another 20 minutes, it’s now noon (one hour and 10 minutes past when I pulled up) I walked In and demanded to speak with the manager. It seemed the manager was competent, but surrounded by untrained high school punks who either cared but didn’t know what they were doing or simply didn’t even care about their job. I watched multiple employees just walk around and talking to one another, others look like they were completely lost, and some with an unprofessional attitude and a chip on their shoulders.I called corporate and will never come back to this location, probably will just change my own oil from now on. I was ready to pay for convenience, this was FAR from convenient! It was an absolute mistake!

I waited for over and hour and half for an oil change. It would seem like with 3 bays, one could be designated for only oil changes. Instead they were using the bays for all their services and having people wait a ridiculous amount of time while they did them. It only takes 15 mins for an oil change. I don’t mind waiting 30 mins, but over an hour and half is ridiculous. I used Valvoline for their speed and accuracy. I will no longer be coming to this location until they are better equipped for oil changes.

Showed up well before closing (15 minutes). They had one car finishing up and two open bays and the assistant manger said they couldnt give me an oil change. First they said they didnt have the filter. I had brought my own filter so then they said I have a skid plate which they have to take off (not true). Ive always got great service from other locations of VOIC, but this location would rather leave early than serve customers.

Just make sure you leave a two hour block of time to get your oil changed if your going in the middle of the day. The lines werent even that long they were just slow. I waited over an hour and there was only one car in front of me. Just from watching them its obvious they didnt take pride in their work. This wouldnt been my 3rd or fourth oil change there(due to convenient location), but I had to leave before being serviced and I wont be going back.

I came for an oil change and inspection. During the oil change they had broken something. I appreciate that they were upfront and replaced it for free. My two frustrations were that: 1. No one told me that because they had to disconnect my battery and that they were unable to finish my inspection. After waiting in line at the DMV for an hour I was told my inspection was not passed. When I returned to Valoline, they told me I would have to drive the car around for 100 miles before I could get inspected again. That information would have been nice to know when I left the first time. 2. Small gripe I know, they did not replinish my wiper fludes with the oil change. I am a really patient and get it that things happen, but this was a bit much.

Ive been going to this Valvoline for several years now, which has been a decent place in general, but mostly because its conveniently located near my house. However, this is probably the last time Ill go here for the following reason: I went by there in late December, only to be told that they didnt have an oil filter for my car (an older BMW).So I waited a couple weeks and went back today: same answer. I asked them if I buy a filter at AutoZone, will you discount the oil change fee? They said yes. So I bought the filter at AutoZone for $16, brought it back, handed it to them, along with a receipt and a Valvoline $15 coupon code I received in the mail at my house.When they rang me up for a conventional oil change, the total bill was $61. I asked them what about the oil filter discount, since I brought my own? The clerk proceeded to discount the bill by $10. So I asked what about your own $15 coupon code? The clerk said he could only give me a total of $10 discount. I ended paying $51 for an oil change there, with conventional (their cheapest) oil type, not to mention I paid $16 for my own filter, and had a $15 coupon code of theirs that they didnt even honor.Suffice it to say that this experience sucked a$$. Beware of this place, they dont even honor their own coupons.

Fast, efficient, stay in your car oil change! I downloaded a $7 off coupon and had my oil changed for $64. Same oil change months ago at jiffy lube with not great service was $110.

Staff extremely friendly, followed CDC protocol and serviced my vehicle promptly without any hard cross sell.

The assistant manager was very nasty and rude. I had been going to this location for years to get vehicle inspection. Before she could do the inspection, she had already advised me it would fail (due to tent on vehicle). Advised her that its the same vehicle, nothing different about the tent. She then stated that she was doing it and it probably would not pass. I then begin to get bothered. I say to her, how you know when you havent inspected my vehicle... Well wouldnt you know, it did not pass. We both had a few words, but from the very beginning her attitude was nasty and rude as hell. From that day to now, I have advised my friends not to visit this location or any other location.

If you have tinted windows call in advance to make sure their test instrument is working. Wasted a good bit of time as they are doing the inspection and found out at the last minute it hasnt been working for awhile

Though they close at 6pm on Saturdays, they said they weren’t doing state inspections when I stopped by at 3pm. They shouldn’t advertise them as a service on Google maps if they only do them selectively.

Unless you want a run around with insurance and what not, bad idea for battery replacement. Kat did a great job with her diagnostic ability.Great staff though .

The staff was polite and service was quick. I didnt give it 5 stars because it was a bit expensive and the coupon I found online while getting services didnt even cover the tax.

Utter disregard for pandemic. DO NOT PATRONIZE. Greeter approached my window completely unmasked. I pointed at mine before rolling down my window and he acted incensed that he had to step backward. Of ~12 staff, only 4 wore a mask. Only 1 kept his on the entire time. No attempt at social distancing when taking customer info. Rude/aggressive interactions by staff. Sole advantage is speed of service. But not worth it. DO NOT BE FOOLED. THIS BUSINESS HAS NO INTENTION OF CURBING COVID-19 SPREAD.

The assistant manager Tiana is nasty, rude and unprofessional Tiana was very rude and disrespectful to us when we drove in and after being addressed about her behavior she never apologized. The manger Julien was nice but made excuses for Tiana disrespect and her poor customer service skills. Once we finished our oil change, we drove off and heard something dragging at the bottom of my car on the road. Omg it was loud and there was sparks flying...::can you believe on top of their poor customer service, nasty attitude, these people can’t do their job correctly...I’m contacting corporate on this issue.

I was so disappointed when I went to get my oil change about a week ago. The tall black man with the bald spot was completely rude to me talking about my car. He was cursing and being rude around and to the other customer. He smells like marijuana. And to top it’s all of I asked to speak to the manager and he was the manager. This just come to show that this place is ran with poor management with poor judgment. I tried to call corporate but they didn’t even answer the phone. I will never get a oil change or any kind of service from the shop ever again.

Please do not waste your money. I was told I could stay in my car and they started the oil change without ever offering prices. I get full synthetic so I know it is a little more expensive. I didnt realize how expensive until it was too late. I know now why there was no line on a beautiful Saturday at 2pm.There are so many other options that will not cost you $93.80 ($85.99+ tax) for a full synthetic oil change (that is only the filter and the oil). It says they check other things but my coolant was still low when I left. I have a 2014 Toyota Yaris that takes 3.90 qts of oil. They can continue to take my post down but I will post it u til it stays. BUYERS SHOULD BEWARE!!!!

Pulled up to get a instant oil change and the employee just looked at us! We pull up to ask for service and the worker said he can’t give us a oil change, he didn’t want to get up and talk to us. Came in here to get my car inspected the staff was really helpful and professional when it came to letting me know what was going on with my vehicle. However the lobby area was poorly maintained and smelled so bad I kept having to go outside while carrying my 18 month old. It was weird how there was no music playing in lobby nor a tv it was really unpleasant how dirty the bathrooms were. Its safe to say I wont be coming back here which is a shame because they have a great staff that works here.

Ariel and the guys at the Raleigh six forks location are angels! They took such good care of me today that I can’t thank you guys enough! My car is a pain-I know it and have always heard it (it’s a Volvo which I guess has a lot of parts to get off?) but they did got everything fixed and corrected. And they took their time with my car! That is in no way a complaint for it taking too long but I’ve taken it other places and they have me in and out within 5-10 minutes. Ariel explained everything to me and put it in terms I would understand-how oil works, about synthetic and high temperatures, etc. He didn’t try to upsale me on anything and they fixed my filter which was loose. Thank you guys so much and I will certainly be returning here for all my future car maintenance

My expectations have always been met here. They are located near my work so I come for the quick and reliable oil change. I never have mixups about the oil because I know what I need before I go. (I go full synthetic to prolong my engine life)If I ever do have questions the staff are always very nice and patient and tell me in truth when they dont know the absolute answer to something.

This is not a Valvoline Xpress Lube. This is a Valvoline Instatnt Oil change. BUYER BEWARE!!! VIO is much, much more expensive. There are much more affordable options in the market. Do your research and save 20-30% on your oil changes. They dont price match their competitors or other Valvoline oil change centers. Why? There is a reason this location is not very busy.

Been here a few times, service is a 7/10. Waiting area smells like smoke, but hey its automotive techs. I have to admit their prices are pretty steep. You can go to NTB or the dealership for a 19.99 oil change. if you schedule it online.

UPDATE 5/23/17 - Stopped here again today and had another fantastic experience. I originally came in for an inspection, but the car died and wouldnt restart when I was in the parking lot. They installed a new battery but that didnt solve the issue so they had a new starter motor delivered from their supplier and had it installed within the hour. That fixed the issue and they didnt try to upsell me on the new battery. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.I was hesitant to stop here after reading the negative reviews, but they have a sign out front saying under new management so I decided to give it a try. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. I came in for a state inspection and they did it in about 15 minutes. They didnt try to upsell me on anything. I was pleasantly surprised and will be going back.

Austin broke my bolt for my oil pan. then tried to fix my transmission (nothing wrong). Then was persistent on saying his golf kart was faster.

Terrible service. Told me my brake pads were bad and needed changing right away. Asked them if I could come back later that day to get it done at 4:45- they said yes. Got back at 4:35 and was told the person I spoke with made a mistake because they dont change brake pads after 5 (it was before 5 and they do not close until 6). They checked my break pads again and said they actually werent that bad so they could wait another month or until they start squealing, ie- they wanted to do it earlier to make money but now that the days almost over, its all of a sudden not worth it.

Quick service. Pricey for a standard oil change at $45. They tried to up sell me on some maintenance that wasnt really needed.

I went to this location today to get an oil change in my Mini Cooper. The guy asked me what kind of oil I wanted and I said whatever it takes as I know very little about this kind of thing. Another staff member came and asked what I wanted. He told me the car took 5w40 full synthetic but suggested I didnt have to use that. He said I could use conventional so I said go ahead because it was significantly cheaper.I got my car, paid them $46 for the oil change and came back immediately because my car was barely running. Another tech said I had to have full synthetic. So they charged me for a full synthetic oil change with a $20 discount. So I basically ended up paying $100 for an oil change which is more than a full synthetic would cost. When I questioned this the guy said You told him to do it which isnt true. I was told it would be ok so I said sure. I wont be going back.

Good for oil changes, wiper blades, etc. No major service. New management isnt nearly as bad about pushing the purchase of a new cabin air filter and other questionable practices as the last bunch was.

Only had an inspection performed, but were fast and was able to get it done within my lunch hour.

The attitude at the Xpress Lube these days is stand off-ish at best. I recently stopped by for a quick oil & filter change, and fell for the oldest trick in the book after being offered the Synthetic Oil upgrade. In Walmart the other day I saw synthetic oil for a $1 or $2 more per quart than the regular stuff. So I thought what the heck, it shouldnt be too much more, and forgot to ask the price.I nearly blew a gasket when I found the bill for my oil & filter change was $86 dollars, $40 of which was the up charge for the synthetic oil! What a scam! I felt stupid, but enlightened enough to realize Ill never go to Xpress Lube at 300 E. Six Forks again.

New management same attitude. Went in and asked for an inspection with 2 cars ahead of me was told it would be a wait time of 1h30min, service was very rude Im sorry for asking for a service you provide gave you a second chance never again.

The manager, Josh, pulled up what oil my car needed and explained the benefits of both and allowed me to make the choice of which oil I needed. The oil change was fast, which was great because I typically have a very busy day.

Unfriendly for sure. Left my car with all of the windows down, the keys inside parked out front and had me blocked in by other cars they were working on. When I got out to resolve the situation they acted like they didnt have time for me and I was being rude to interrupt them. Sorry fellas, next time I will just sit in my car all day watching you mistreat all of your other customers.

I asked to have a headlight replaced. Instead, they just switch my headlights around. I had to take my car to another place to have it fixed. They also changed my oil with the most expensive they had withou my permission. They are not trustworthy.

Had to take my car back multiple times about the engine over heating and ordering a part. They only have one official mechanic and he leaves at 5. Shouldnt mechanics be able to spot a potential issue before it gets out of hand apparently they arent paying attention to details when it comes to maintenance... They will no longer get my business
