We had a major claim with Farm Bureau 10 years ago and they were super good to us. We had no complaints about how the claim was handled and the office personnel is always kind and friendly!

Anytime we’ve needed to turn in a claim, they’ve done everything they could do to take care of it for us. Normally their prices are better than competitors, but even if they weren’t, there is so much to be said for the kind of service you get. I’ve had to deal with other companies and it has been a nightmare. They even sent us a rebate during covid due to less accidents on the road bc people were staying home.

First off their home insurance increases every year, without any claims. They quote you prices to get you in the door. Charge you member fees, their rates end up being higher, with lower limits as time goes on.I was involved in an accident. I was turning right, the other car was turning left. No one had a green arrow, both had a green light. The other parties insurance company deemed the accident their fault, not mine. Farm bureau raised my rates after this accident. Come to also find out, they reported to lexis Nexis that the accident was my fault. When I call farm bureau Amanda (who I spoke to) was so incompetent she had no idea how to fix it. Claimed she would call me back, and she has not. Worse part, this has gone on for 3 years.I cancelled my insurance with Farm Bureau when they increased my insurance for someone hitting me.(Edit to add a response to the owner)I called farm bureau back and talked to a Judy. Judy made several excuses for Amanda (who wasnt in the office) not calling me back. Judy also made several excuses to why Amanda didnt even realize the other drivers insurance had paid for the claim. Thats small town service for you. Screw up, and make excuses and cover up for someone.(Edit now a third farm bureau agent calls)Still Amanda the original person that I spoke to has not called back. Now a Hadley calls me. He claims he is looking at the Lexis Nexis report, and they show me at no fault. What he failed to understand is they have reported the accident as farm bureau having to pay for the claim. When the other parties insurance paid farm bureau for the claim. Farm bureau never updated with Lexis Nexis that the other insurance company paid them back. He also could not comprehend that even Amanda struggled to realize the other person had insurance.Incompetency at its greatest, and these people are trying to insure a persons biggest investments, what a joke. No way would I trust these people with anything. Obviously they cant even read a simple computer screen and input correct information.What a headache I have dealt with, ridiculous!
