This place is absolutely fantastic!! it is very clean and very beautiful. the nail technicians were extremely professional and very very sweet. it is honestly the best pedicure Ive had in a really really long time. my nail technician took her time and made sure any issues or problem areas on my feet were taken care of before I left the building, he made sure the nail polish application was absolutely pristine as well. the gel colors are completely organized. absolutely wonderful! I cannot say enough about this business. I would gladly go here again.

I love coming here! Pam does not overbook herself and she takes her time to give you quality nails. And if she does something you dont like she will change or fix it with out an attitude or anything. A+ service every yime I go and the new remodel looks amazing!

They don’t know how to do any design just polish. When the lady did my pedicure she didn’t even take all the polish off of my toes, I had to tell her to take all of it off. Then they got smart and told me to go somewhere else….. A waste of time and money…. Will never go back

The tech Dan was gentle and perfectionist, did talk much, which I like... the lady who started me had SUCH an attitude that I didnt know what they could do there or what materials they had and got annoyed with my uncertainty. She was blonde and rude but she handed me off, which was just what needed to happen.

These techs dont listen to your requests and mine got annoyed when I asked her to make certain nails shorter because they were ALL DIFFERENT LENGTHS. also couldnt do gradient nails and after being repeatedly told where I wanted the colors to be placed the tech did opposite. I told her to take it off and do one color because I was irritated. No tip! They dont listen and rush you

My nails started breaking off within 4 days of getting them done. The product used appeared to be of less quality that what I have seen in the past.

My daughters and I were looking for a place to get our nails and toes done for my nieces wedding. I called last minute but it was a great experience. We all had mani/pedi. Cathy did mine. I would definitely recommend this place. Pam even came over to talk to us. So professional and so clean.

Ive been coming here since we moved to Jefferson Hills. I can call anytime and Pam always puts me in. Ive brought others with me too. Very clean always and pleasant the whole time. .I take alot of people to see them.Wonderful experience I go year round.Pam the owner treats you like family.

I have been going here for several years and Pam always does an amazing job with my nails. She recently began offering facials, which I gladly scheduled one immediately. I have had many facials in upscale salons and spas over the years, at outrageous prices. This was, by far, the absolute best facial I have ever had! Very thorough and detailed. In addition to my face, Pam included my neck, shoulders and upper back. It was like getting a facial + massage! She uses quality, allergen free, dermatologist approved products. My face looks 5 years younger and my skin feels amazing after just one treatment! And the price was half what I have paid in other spas! Highly recommend giving this a try!

Two of my nails popped off after not even a week of getting them done. they rushed doing my nails after i had made a appointment for 5pm and they were not busy. they didn’t even ask me how long i wanted my nails and just cut them short and messed up two of my nails. never go here because u will waste your money

I wouldnt recommend Modern nails. This was my second time. I wasnt happy with them the first time, but I desperately needed my nails filled and they were the only local place that could take me. The woman who did my nails rushed, because she had someone waiting. I needed one new tip. My nails are mountain peak shaped, but she just rounded the new one. Now I have one rounded nail. She didnt cut them down at all. She left them very jagged around the edges I had to file them when I got home. The woman who painted them did a good job.

My lady that did my Pedi Kathy was awesome. Would absolutely recommend. Very Clean and quick service.Thank You.

I made an appointment at 1pm for my grandmother to get her nails done for her birthday. Upon arrival we were ignored although the owner was sitting right at the front as usual. We proceeded to sign the book and pick out our colors. As we walk back past all the nail technicians to take a seat, we still are not greeted. It is now 1:25 and no one has said we will be right with you or it will be x amount of time. I proceed to walk to the back and put our nail colors back. As Im walking, the owner says Oh hunny pick your color. Wont be long. No thank you. It already took you 20 minutes to even acknowledge my existence. I will take my business elsewhere.

If I could give zero stars for this nail salon I would. I sat for 3 hours getting my nails “dipped “ pink and white, the lady realized she didn’t know how to do it after 2 hours and called the owner over. The owner insists I come back another day because she has other clients waiting ahead of me . Then, she paints my clumpy and u even nails a sparkly pink and says “how is this” I replied “ awful, it looks awful.” She then went on to tell me if I want them fixed I would have to wait for her because I am taking up her time today. After 4 hours, I left with one nail half done and the rest destroyed. I would never go back.

This place is very un professional! I had a 2:30 appointment and showed up early as it is busy and the holiday season. They proceed to take every walk in that comes in the door to leave me sitting there. Then when my appointment time comes up they again take someone who came in after me to leave me sitting here! I will never come back to this place again!

Did my husbands pedicure and then took the same tools used on him to do a manicure on someone else. They dont properly clean pedicure chairs after each customer. They only rinse with plain water. Which I know is not proper procedure. I wouldnt recommend this nail. Very unsanitary!!!

Went in on a Saturday wanting just a fill and a nail repair. Waiting 15 minutes not bad for just a walk in. I will never go back or tell anyone To go there. All the technicians talked to one another. No conversation. My nails look horrible, shorter than what I said I wanted. I have never been so cut up on my cuticles and even underneath my finger. How does that even happen?! My whole cuticle on evey nail is cut up. My nails arent even, some are flat and some are wavy and bulky. Lady couldnt even finish my nails so she pushed me to another technician. Getting these taken off and Ill keep traveling to my guy out in Washington, Pa. worth the drive.

Worst French gel manicure ever! Some nails were rounded too much and my nails are shorter. And whatever was on my nail wouldn’t dry and turned lumpy! The tech spoke zero English and had no idea what I was telling her! I was there over an hour . I wanted to have her take everything off but couldn’t afford to waste any more time there. Wasted $30 . I will never go back!

I’ve been here before and had a good experience, however today not so much!The worst mani/ pedi I have ever gotten.The technician ( an elderly woman) barely cut my cuticles, foot massage was lame. I’m not sure that she understood / spoke much English. If she did, this was clearly hidden by the fact that probably only five words were spoken to me and the remainder of her conversation was with the other technicians in what I assume was there native language.The color on my toe nails do not reach the sides.When I moved forward for my Manicure, I should have realized that I was in for trouble when she had to thin out the polish with acetone. The polish never truly hardened. I sat waiting for it to dry for over 20 minutes. In the end I came home and had to remove all my nail polish and start again on my own. Again, she barely touched the cuticles on my hands and I eventually spoke up and pointed out snags. Which attempted to fix.* My nails are not uniform in shape.*It appeared that she pulled out her tools from a drawer and that they had not Been sanitized after the previous patron.The flip flops and toe separators are dirty and do not appear to be sanitized.😡😡😡. Last time for me!!

Dont go here!! Ive been here 4 times and everytime I go the nails crack a day after I get them. Employees are rude when it comes to customer service. They dont respect their customers. All their nail polishes that I have tried are cheap looking and chip easily even after putting a top coat on. This is coming from a person who isnt hard on their hands. Id rather spend the extra money somewhere else to get good quality nails.

Wouldnt even give them a full star, told the nail technician I wanted flare boxed nails four times. Got a completely different style. Asked her again to not make them straight while she was filing, what do u Kno... They are straight got french and it looks dirt. Then got toes painted, most bizarre thing all the other nail technicians started screaming at her in a language I could not understand which made me uncomfortable. I felt sorry for her I left upset and disappointed. Waste of money.

They physically assaulted me I came in for a simple fill my nails were already shaped how I wanted and the length I wanted I said just a fill no change. I was on my phone looking at stuff online, I looked at my hand and she had completely re shaped my nails and cut them down I said no I want them the same she then screams at me then takes my credit card off the table and hit me with it I have a cut where she assaulted me. I spoke with the hostess at atrias she said that stuff lie that happens all the time.

Literally the worst nail place I’ve ever been to. I wish I could post pictures of how horrible my nails look. They even went off a picture and it looks nothing like it. I expressed what I wanted several times and they said they could do it but when it came time to marble my nail they said they couldn’t do it and put lines on my nails. So unhappy wouldn’t even give this place 0 starts. That would be an insult to the places I would give 0 stars to.

This place is very unprofessional and does sloppy work. I came in as soon as they opened this morning and I asked for a mani/peni. The lady who took my gel off cut me so bad I bled profusely because she was rushing so fast! Then when I got a pedicure she never even ran the water for my feet so soak! She just took off my polish and painted them very sloppy. This place doesn’t care about the quality of work they provide.

Took my three year old daughter here with a family member and her eight year old daughter. There was an argument happening with another customer and all but one nail technician started screaming and making a seen. It was so outrageous that I had to take my daughter outside and three police officers showed up. Not one employee apologized to us. After the customer left the nail techs continued to yell. They took what should have been a fun girls day out with our daughters and made it a frightening experience for them. Also my cuticles are butchered and all my nails hurt.

I was just in thete yesterday. I was told I needed a new set. I just wanted a fill. So I went ahead with the new full set. I always get pink full nail acrylic so I asked for full pink and I get gel polish. What did I get? Regular clear acrylic and un set gel that peeled right off and stained my fingers that I paid 55 dollars for. Im beyond furious.

I had an awful experience today, I will never go back!I went in today and wanted acrylic only over my real nails. I had pretty long nails except for my pinky nails which had broke. First I told her I didnt want tips or nail glue because the glue gives me a reaction I only wanted acrylic. She continued to pull out the tips and glue, I had to tell her again no I only want acrylic. Another lady came over explaining to her what I was saying because she wasnt understanding. Then she started filing my real nails all the way down and I told her to stop I just want acrylic. She started to shap them round without asking what I wanted, I tried telling her square but she just shookher head. She did the acrylic then shaped them again without asking. I told her no I wanted square but it was too late. The other lady came back and just took over, redoing all of my nails. She had to add acrylic to them shaping them back to square and lengthening them again. Once she started filling she realized my pinky was bleeding and put some cleaner on it. There was blood on the nail file, that she just put away after she was done. She finished and then the original lady took over again only having to buff and paint. She took the buffer to my already sore and bleeding pinky making it even worse and it started bleeding really bad! Again blood on the buffer too, she just put back and didnt throw away. She asked me to go wash my hands. I had to keep the cloth towel applying pressure to stop the bleeding. She asked for $25 before she painted, which I did. (I probably shouldnt have) she painted my nails then walked me over to the drying lamp. I gave her my towel and told her there was blood all over it. (Im pretty sure she didnt throw it away or even wash her hands). I was so angry at this point I just left. I returned within the hour, I spoke to the 2nd lady who did my nails. Within the hour I was gone, I realized she had nicked 3 other fingers, the acrylic was not even, the polish did not evenly cover, I had bubbles in the paint, I was just not at all satisfied and my pinky hurt so bad! I asked for my money back and she refused saying they had spent their time and it wasnt fair to give me my money back since I paid and left it meant I was satisfied. She offered to give me a free fill the next, I told her no because I will not be coming back. She still refused and told me I had to speak to the owner. Not once did I get an apology, she only gave me excuses saying it was my fault because my nails were too short! (Which she filed down too far before applying acrylic)Thank you for reading such a long post. I hope no one experiences what happened to me! This place is very unsanitary!

I went in for a gel fill on my acrylics. They said not one word and when I asked the technician to file my nails down, she rolled her eyes. And one week later and they are already falling off. I will never go back and do not recommend this place.

Modern has been my nail salon for years...Ms. Pam is THE BEST IN TOWN and the salon is very clean and sanitary! All the techs are friendly and do good work.

As always, Pam did a great job.

If I could rate no stars, I would. The lady doing my pedi was not paying attention. She was scrubbing my toe and scrubbed the skin right off of my foot below my toe. I told her it was hurting, she kept scrubbing. It started to bleed and i pulled my foot away. She finished the pedi and I did not tip her. I guess she thought i would because she said im sorry i hurt you, next time i will pay attention. When I went to the car, my boyfriend saw my foot and demanded a refund from the place. They tried giving me a gift card but I will not be returning. She tried saying it was my fault because she was trying to scrub dead skin off. No, how about you pay attention to what youre doing before you make someone bleed and scrub layers of skin off and then charge 32 dollars.

$10 to remove gel polish. Over priced. Not friendly and rude as she talked in her language and never spoke a word to me except to say the price. I wont be back ever.

I got there at 11 am Sunday morning (I actually just left I am so mad) first one through the door. I got the bums rush from the second I sat down in the chair! The technician had me put my foot in ice cold water, then pulled it out. I am talking less than 30 seconds and started trimming my nails! She was in such a rush she even cut the cuticle of my toe near the base of my nail to the point she had to put that blue gel on it to stop it from bleeding! The salt scrub again, less than 30 seconds. Quiet literally a swipe up and a swipe down. The block scrub to remove dead skin? Maybe a minute. I even pointed out there was still dead skin on my heels, she said she doesnt do that! The leg message, yeah no. She put the lotion on rubbed up and down each leg maybe three times, rinse. Dried my feet off, put on one coat of color, no clear coat or anything and I was done in 25 minutes! Never in my life have I ever had a pedicure done in 25 minutes. I definitely will not be back.

The woman who did my nails was rude with me and very rough with my hands. I got a full set of acrylic nails and they turned out looking messy and rushed. They are super uneven and shaped way too thick. She also demanded me to pay her before she even painted my nails. It was not a pleasant experience and I honestly will never go back there again.
