The salon is neat & clean. Following all covid 19 precautions. I bought a Groupon as it was my first time in this salon. My stylist was Kathryn. She is very sincere and dedicated. She paid good attention to detail while doing my haircut & color/highlights. Strange that I haven’t seen any review comments about her but she’s really the kind I’d like to go again and again Cz she doesn’t talk too much and concentrates on her work. Just one odd thing though when asked which all shades were mixed for the highlights, I wasn’t given any specifics. I was just told it’s a mix of light shades (bit odd... huh!) I’ve usually seen in salons that they actually tell you out of the shade card or book which is the one they gona be using on your hair. But then, I can imagine may be it’s Cz of Groupon, who knows! Overall worth the price I paid ... was nice 👍🏻

The staff here is bomb! Organized, friendly, and fun. I had my bridal party get ready here for my wedding at their serata. Literally the best idea ever! It was like we were all alone in the salon. The stylists did an absolutely amazing job with all my ladies hair and their make up was flawless. Would recommend this space to anyone for their wedding. Best decision I ever made. I’m not from Pittsburgh so I looked to google and Groupon to find a place for a quick but nice trim. Knowing the cuts are normally $70+ I thought I could trust a Groupon from here. I left with my hair butchered and that was after I pointed out many spots to fix while I was still there. The stylist also smelled very strongly of cigarettes and it wasn’t very pleasant to sit through until the smell started to fade. The lack of combing my hair entirely before chopping it off was probably the first sign that this wasn’t going to be a good experience.

I have been going to this Salon for 19 yrs...I wouldnt go anywhere else..Megan is the best...also since reopening during this pandemic they have taken every precaution to insure the customers safety....I never thought twice about returning...I always feel safe.

Lindsay was very nice. Good ambience that makes you feel comfortable. However, my haircut was decent. Hair felt stiff and coarse to the touch, and had a lot of frizz despite a deep conditioning treatment in the package. Not satisfied with the groupon deal. Cut and average was ok.

The entire staff is wonderful - warm and welcoming. Kathryn is my stylist and she is absolutely fantastic - both personality and talent-wise. They make parking super easy, and even the parking attendant (Kevin) was happy and courteous. Its always a pleasure to go in, and I look fabulous when I leave!

Emilio and his staff are just wonderful! Emilio really listens, advises and educated you on what is best for YOU not just a fleeting fad! He is extremely gracious to everyone and treats you like you really want and need to be treated!!!

I had a Groupon for an all over color, cut, and style. I have been box dying my hair for years and came in hesitant if it could be fixed. This place was professional and extremely helpful. The colorist listened to my needs and my hair came out perfect. Ill be a repeat customer.

I went to the downtown Pittsburgh location in December, 2019, to have a color correction done. I had dyed my long, thick, hair at home since I was 18 (Im now 45) and this was the first time I went to a professional as I needed a color correction done.I had been dying my hair a dark auburn (Im naturally a medium blonde) for over a year and I wanted to get rid of it. Cesare performed the color correction service - which does not contain bleach - on my hair, and once the whole process was complete (which included a new, lighter, appropriate color) I couldnt be more happy.Approximately 5 weeks later, I went in for some highlights, and, again, I was very happy with the results, Cesare provided.As you might have guessed, I give Izzazu Salon and, especially Cesare, 5 stars!

Think I found my fave local salon! I went yesterday for the first time after getting a Groupon for highlights, cut and style. Im new to Pittsburgh and had been looking for my new local salon and I think I hit the jackpot! I got Lindsay and absolutely loved her! Beautiful inside and out, so personable, friendly, funny and considerate. She totally got what I was after and quickly came up with ideas and suggestions and absolutely nailed it!!! I cant wait to go back and take advantage of all their other services.Oh and also, the space is spectacular! Nicest salon Ive ever been too, counting the ones in NYC and Melbourne, AU. The waiting room was very well kept and I wasnt waiting long before Emilio came to greet me for my appointment. I arrived about a half-an-hour early. The shop floor, so to speak, was a very artistic and modern design. each chair seemed to provide a more personal experience with each stylist, while still being close enough to other people that you get almost a family vibe between the regulars and the staff. About 2 weeks post Covid businesses opening... My appointment at Izzazu was much better than I anticipated... both service and expediency. Plus they did an excellent job with fresh wall coverings and other changes made during the shutdown. Plexiglas and other separating CDC barriers were hardly noticeable. Great job all the way around and glad both you, your staff and customers returned. Although, I do miss the complimentary bananas you always had set out in the waiting area pre Covid.

Lindsay Cenname at the downtown location is by far the best hair stylist I have ever had. Also she is beyond sweet and easy to talk to. I will be forever going to her from now on

Highly recommended!I travel to Pittsburgh and frequent Izzazu for ALL my hair and spa needs. I usually go for blowouts and any stylist I get paired up with does a fantastic job! I love the Rene Furterer product line they use and I have purchased multiple of their products. I have also got my waxing, nails as well as a facial done there and I was completely satisfied with all three services. The salon has a very high end feel and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I LOVE my time spent at Izzazu!!!

Anna is the most friendly, thorough aesthetician I’ve ever met! Just had a pedicure...I so appreciate her attention to detail and the therapeutic effects of the hot foot soak with sea salts, leg massage with aromatic scrub and her insistence that you sit back and relax! The polish lasts for weeks. Anna is a true professional, a real pleasure!

Missy was my stylist and even though I have a short mens cut, she somehow made me look fabulous and even served me coffee...I cant not imagine not recommending this salon. While I lived in the Pittsburgh area, Cesare always did my hair. He did highlights and low lights and cut it. He was just fantastic and I was always happy with my hair. Always received many compliments. If I wanted something tweeked a little, he would do so and I was always happy with the result. Everyone at the salon was always so welcoming and nice. I moved to South Jersey in 2012 and still am looking for my Cesare in NJ. Too bad I cant clone him. Thanks again for making me look fantastic all the time. You are really missed.

I had been dying my hair black for over 10 years and through recommendations decided to have Izzazu get rid of the black! I saw Missy one of the senior stylist who did a phenomenal job at removing the black and bringing me to a great chocolate brown at the root and a stunning carmel highlight on the ends. I also got a few inches cut to clean it up!! My hair feels great and healthy! The salon is very clean and modern. Waiting area is cozy. They offered me a drink of tea or water while I got my hair done too! Attentiom to detail is great. Missy is 100% top notch stylist. I will continue to go to this salon and see her!!

If I could put 0 stars, I would. This was supposed to be my first time there, but due to their unprofessionalism and poor management, I never had a chance.I made an appointment and was on my way there, when I hit traffic and called them to let them know. This is where their unprofessionalism came in: if I had not called them first, I would have driven there for nothing because my stylist had a prior engagement to attend and left early. Now, I understand that this can happen, but to have such poor management skills that they can not tell their customer that their stylist left and then leave them hanging without a backup stylist, sucks. So I asked if they had someone else that could take me, since you know, I made an appointment and it fell through on their side, and they just said no, like they didnt really care, and that I could reschedule. They never apologized. Sorry, no, I am not going to reschedule because this could happen again and I am here to have a haircut, not to have my time wasted.Objective Review: if you do make an appointment, make sure you have a backup hair salon because it sucks that I cannot lean on this place for its reliability. It may have a great brand, but its management is not worth anything, nor its professionalism in communicating to its customers, if they manage Izzazu Salon like this. 👎

Tried this salon since I was in a crunch and couldn’t get in with my usual stylist... highly unimpressed with the highlights I received, I made a second trip to have it fixed since I was told she initially used the wrong toner and they were out of the one she wanted to use. Now my once blonde hair is now soo dark!! Prior to my service I specifically asked if she works with blondes very often, since I’ve seen plenty of orange/yellow blondes before and she said “all the time, blondes are her favorite color to do.” So, I paid for a full highlight with toner, which is what I’ve had done to my hair the past 10 years... I now have no natural color left it’s now dark with orange tints. Would not advise any blondes going to this salon and wish I could upload my before and after photos to this review to show anyone reading this!!

Very disappointing I wanted to try out the salon so I purchased a Groupon and my hair turned out with brassy color different colors of blonde and looks like a washed out blonde . It just doesnt look right I called in and the receptionist said I would possibly have to pay to get it fixed it all depends she would have to do a consultation with the stylist that did my hair... Im a Very dissatisfied customer and will not be going back to the salon... If you pay for a service and its not right it should be fixed with no charge to the customer.... Also I really liked the stylist too she was super nice !

I decided to go to Izzazu Salon in Wexford and heard about a stylist named Ziggy who was supposedly a blonde hair expert. Well, dont always listen to what you hear! I went in for a consultation and found him to be very distracted and really not fully paying attention to the photos that I brought in and insisted that I would not look good in blonde hair as I was too fair skinned with blue eyes HUH????? Never heard that before as I am an actual blonde who happened to have brown hair now with blonde highlights and was ready to go back to blonde for the spring/summer.That should have been my first clue he was clueless but decided to schedule an appointment - BIG mistake. Well, my hair turned out a medium brown with red highlights (which I specifically told him my hair pulls red so no red/warm tones only neutral/cool tones) which again he did not listen. I went back to have him fix it as it was no where near my blonde beige hair color that I showed again with numerous pictures. I was extremely nice as I mentioned I was not happy with it, he was fine and said he was here to make the customer happy so the second fix turned out to be worse as I had a yellow/blonde with orange highlights.So, I decided to go back for the third time but at this point as I waited in the salon for 30 minutes he completely ignored me so I left and asked for him to call me and has refused to call me back after I called several times. Very sad that he knew he ruined my hair and decided it was best to ignore a very nice customer who was very nice about the whole situation (most people would have NOT been as nice as I was because I had confidence hair can be fixed). I was never mean and I felt bad going back but it was so bad. So if you want your hair to be a disaster go to Ziggy (who will act like he is your best friend but only wants to work with customers that will bring him status) little did he know that I have a friend who works for a very high profile company and I was actually scouting for her to find a salon for some celebrities that will be in town!Very sad . . . Dont bite the hand that could feed your pockets even fuller! You never know who you are dealing with!!! Remember the movie Pretty Woman dont judge a book by its cover!
