Our meal was AMAZING!Service was above and beyond any other restaurant I have visited. EVER!Make sure you call and make a reservation, as the location fills up quickly.I ordered the New York Steak and Baked Potato, which was PERFECT! Forgot to snap a picture because it looked too good to wait.Next time π€
A bit of a let down. Ive been coming to the area for years and for one reason or another I was never able to make it to Anthonys. That changed last night and my overall experience was just okay. Service was great. There just wasnt anything fantastic about the food, drinks, dessert, or even the atmosphere.
Loved the atmosphere old school steakhouse. Good service. The food however kept it from a 5 star. My medium rare prime rid came out medium and my wifes medium came out rare. Server super nice about it and correction came out quickly. The kitchen also got our salads backwards (no tomatoes with ranch came out Italian with extra cucumbers and tomatoes) . The crab cakes were a little to mushy and the crab needed to be more. Nice Desert. Good coffee. All in all we would go back.
I have no qualms about paying good money for great food but this was so far from that its not even funny. What I got was by far the worst ribeye Ive ever had at a restaurant in my life and for $40+ per plate to boot. That hurts. Ive had $10 steaks better than that. Tough gristle and charcoal flavor from burnt leftovers on the grill grates. Awful regardless of the price.
Just arrived in Omaha today. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews and prices, but I was severely disappointed. We started off by being led to one of two different seating areas, where we walked through a βfancyβ dining area to a high table in a separate casual area. Fine, whatever. Started with the onion rings, they were decent. Pretty plain. Then ordered the prime rib, medium rare, with rice and pasta+sauce on the side. It came with a house salad, which I had to pay 5 bucks to swap to a Caesar for some reason. The rice was dry and bland, the pasta sauce was overly sweet, and the prime rib wasnβt seasoned at all. I ordered it medium rare, but it was more like a medium. Somewhat dry. I paid $42 bucks for the 10oz entree and sides and felt pretty ripped off. I had the creme brΓ»lΓ©e for dessert and it was actually great, much to my surprise. As far as the service, the place got pretty busy but it still took our waitress around 15 minutes to make it back to our table each time. I think the google reviews of this place are overselling it. Iβd say itβs a 3/5, but tonight my experience was a 2/5.
Im not impressed for the price. I have no problem paying for good food however if I know I can get a well seasoned steak cooked the way I like (medium π) not medium well for half of what I paid then I am going there. Our waitress was snide and rude at times. I know she was stressed but you dont take it out on the customer. The main dining area was beautiful and you could tell it has been remodeled recently everywhere but the tiny bathroom, which for prices you pay should be big and have an attendant and perfume lbssπ€£π. It was disappointing because we had big business partners in town first time to Omaha, they couldve had recurring business. One thing about Omaha we have plenty of other options.
We took a group of 10, out of state visitors, for a Nebraska steak and we were not disappointed. The staff, Carol and Jake took great care of us. The food was great, my steak was cooked perfectly, didnt even need a knife to cut it. We received compliments from everyone on our choice of restaurant. This is our second time taking a visiting group to Anthonys and well do it again in the future
Oh my - this place is fabulous! We had a variety of food ~ steaks, pasta & seafood along with an appetizer & dessert. Amazing - atmosphere, food & service. Wonderful staff that worked seamlessly together. The perfect place to take someone for a special occasion or just to enjoy great food! We will definitely be back.
Great restaurant!! Wonderful prime rib and steaks. Omaha at its best.
I would say that this place is not worth the $$$! My husband and I went for our anniversary. If you are looking for a quiet romantic place, this is not it. It was very overcrowded in the small dining room. There was food on the floor no one seemed concerned with, the little girl running around her table almost slipped on a noodle. Also if you go on a Saturday night, we were able to hear the band playing in the bar area over our dinner conversation. Then theres the food, I dont know how you can be a steakhouse and mess up steak with lack of flavor, then over season everything else with garlic. Just very, very disappointed.
I loved the friendly staff servicing 5 star hotel treat. I would give 3 stars for food however friendly staff makes up the quality of food. Steak was just okay, side were bit disappointed, sad was good.Highly recommended to get comfortable and dining.
I donβt know what everyone else was reviewing. I got the top sirloin, and I could convince myself this is fine if it was half the price. I canβt name the last time I had a steak this tough, and the flavor just isnβt there. The salad was good, though....Salad was good, bread was solid, green beans are plain
Located off 72nd & F in an area you would not really expect to find a steakhouse. Opened by Anthony Fucinaro, but no longer owned by him. So, its a classic old Omaha restaurant but with new owners, new chefs, and a new menu.I havent been here in several years and my memories of my last visit (circa 2017) were rather ho-hum. So, I was very pleased to see an updated and expanded menu and an energetic staff.Food was good. I had the Anthonys Steak Sandwich which was good but got a little soggy from meat juices. I opted for Au Gratin Potatoes for my side and they were very good. Ill be back to try other items on their new menu.Servers were friendly and attentive. It is a little annoying that what appears to be the main entrance is NOT the entrance to the restaurant and is instead the entrance to their Master Ballroom event space. The restaurant entrance is actually closer to the south end of the building. Im sure regulars know this, but everyone else frustratingly tries to open a locked door and then has to wander up and down the front of the building looking for the restaurant entrance. A sign would be nice.
The steak was great. There were so many sides and appetizers. It was almost too much food. However, everything was great.
First visit for us. Excellent lunch and service. Between the very attentive staff to the great variety of food we will be back. Thanks Angela for taking great care of our group.
The live band on Wednesdays is awesome and so much fun!! Honestly food was so-so and a bit pricey, but still had a blast!
Went for a work event. Probably the most disappointing thing was we ordered a plate for our toddler and it never ended up coming (after waiting an hour). Butterfinger dessert was probably the best part of dinner. The venue itself was nice for a family gathering, Good amount of space and very picturesque in the right weather.
Go after 5:00! The steak, salad, and side swere very good. The bread was nothing special. They only serve in the bar before 5:00 so the service and atmosphere were subpar when I went. Its likely a better experience when the restaurant is actually open.
Great food and service but a bit pricey.Good atmosphere.
Really great service, the prime rib and NY strip, perfectly cooked. The salmon was also really good!
Filet of mignon perfectly cooked great taste and so very tender. Asparagus cooked perfectly the whole meal just great. Service was top notch as well. Anthonys is a wonderful restaurant and thats why theyve been in business so many years.
Emma K.was a great waitress very courteous very nice prices were good food was good
1st time hereWe will be backI had prime rib it was delicious. Our waitress was fabulous.
Went for my birthday last week and was pleasently surprised on the menu considering its one of the original steakhouses in the Omaha area. Service was good and friendly. I had the New York strip with the smoked guda augratin and the whiskey sauce on the side. Both the steak and potatoes were excellent, but the whiskey sauce was more like a basic brown gravy, not too exciting. Steak was seasoned well, then had the cheese garlic bread as an appetizer which was good as well. Finished off with the brown butter cake, which had just a little bit too much caramel sauce but the cake had a little crust on the egde and supper moist in the middle.
Our server was awesome. She provided excellent service. The hostess staff was wonderful. The food was delicious as always. Its the best steak in Omaha!
Birthday dinner. Attentive staff. Delicious steak, drinks πΈand company. Special... π
Just ordered the beef tips through LOCO delivery app. This dish was so yummy with very tender beef and gnocchi plus carrots, onions, celery in homemade gravy. Said it serves four but thereβs more than enough for four very hungry people. Will definitely order from this delivery menu again.
Our experience was surreal. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. It was actually kind of funnyβ¦lol.A very nice/energetic waitress took our order. Thatβs when the fun beganβ¦the wrong drinks were delivered to our tableβ¦the wrong salad was delivered to our tableβ¦the other salad was a no show but that was correctedβ¦the two different type steaks we ordered were supposed to be medium well and medium. They reversed that. The waitress quickly disappeared when they were dropped off so we went ahead and ate - had to get back on the road (we were talking and didnβt notice the issue until sheβd stepped away). The steaks were pricy but we both left nice tips because we think it was probably an unusual event there π€·.
We took my daughter, her husband, my son and his girlfriend, for dinner Saturday night. We had 2 salmons,2 fillets, a prime rib and chicken alvito. I cant tell you how wonderful everything was. It was all cooked to perfection! The service was wonderful too! We left full and happy!! Thank you Anthonys!!
The steaks were fried, and overcooked and did not have that nice well cooked steak taste. Our table had 3 steaks and we all had the same opinion that they were fried and overcooked and could have gotten the same result or better cooking the steaks ourselves. It was definitely overpriced for what we got.
I canβt say I really enjoyed Anthonyβs.The food was good, but I do think itβs pricy for small portions. Happy people go home feeling they got their moneyβs worth.I think also itβs getting dated and I felt more like I was sitting in a elderly home. The club next door inside Anthonyβs was popping though. I didnβt go there, but they was having fun.Do a makeover in the steak side and lower the price or give more food and Iβm sure it will come alive again.Definitely take the ugly serving bar out of the floor. What an eye sore.
Great food. Service was excellent.
Great food. Great service
The service was amazing!!! The food was super delicious!! Cant wait to go again!!
Had a rough time. The salad had some bad pieces and both steaks had too much gristle. The server seemed pretty unenthused. The food took quite a while but the drinks were excellent.
Rodd Bright& Dee Kelley at Ashley and Grants wedding and a fantasticwedding and the food was awesome
Nice atmosphere, but steaks arent anything special. There was little to no flavor, but steaks were juicy and tender. Good place to eat, but overpriced for what we got.
Went last night ... the atmosphere was fun. My toddler was up and dancing to the live music. However, the food was terrible. Started with spinach artichoke dip; tasted like warm soup out of the can with no garlic or really much cheese; didnβt stand out at all. My boyfriend got the spicy pasta and it was more sweet than anything. Just not what he was expecting. My filet mignon had NO flavor. I took a bite and had my boyfriend take one because I didnβt want to complain if it was just me. Nope. No flavor. When the waitress stopped by to ask how things were, I told her it didnβt taste very good and I asked the waitress if they had any extra seasoning. She said they only use salt and pepper and then offered steak sauce. A good steak does not require steak sauce. She then went and told another server what had happened, and they just laughed about it. I get making fun of a customers request behind closed doors, but literally 3 feet away from the table? I still left $20 as a tip because of the pandemic but at that point, I felt unwelcome and just wanted to leave. For what youβre paying, itβs not worth it. Youβll get a better steak for half the price from Texas Roadhouse or Outback, with more professional servers. What a shame, really, because local spots need the business.
1st timer, zero complaints. Atmosphere was great and food was amazing! Staff is very friendly, helpful, and they dont rush you!!! Our waitress was awesome wish I got her name. Highly recommend, I will definitely be back. Crab cakes are amazing!!
Just standing outside makes your mouth water. The ambiance seemed to suit both romantic or family occasions at the same time. Our waitress was outstanding and although she had several tables, she was right there to full our glasses or take our empty plates when needed, without being intrusive or hovering. I made reservations, and was seated upon entrance. We both had the Special; Streak and Potatoes, with Asparagus. This came with soup or salad. I had the Italian Sausage soup, which was absolutely delicious, and my date had the salad, which she said was excellent as well. The Onion Rings were large and delicious.I generally use steak sauce on my streak, and the waitress brought some at my request, but didnt need it. The flavor was unbelievable.Great time. Great service, and great food. A bit pricey, but still worth it.
Food was delicious! This is a nice restaurant with quality food and service. There is a separate bar area with live music. Check their website for dates and times!
Fabulous steaks, ok sides, attentive wait staff, marvelous desserts!
Food and service was great. Food came out fast and accurate.
The beef tips and gnocchi were excellent and the price for quantity was perfect. The wild rice was great. Now the prime rib was disappointing. It was not bad but very meh. I would go again just maybe make a slightly different choice. I ordered curbside and ordered from the online ordering system.
I use to come here often but its been about a year. They did everything right with regulations and spacing people but the food was not good. The crab cakes were mushy and mostly some type of tarter sauce and the steaks were over cooked, tough and had zero flavor. The 44$ New York was slightly better then the surf and turf steak but still bad. Our service was excellent.
I have driven past Anthonys many times over the years and always thought I should try it.My wife and I finally did last night and wished we had kept driving. The food was by no means bad but it was very mediocre. For what we paid I guess we expected better flavor but just didnt seem to have a whole lot.For a place that is usually in the top list of steakhouses in Omaha we felt disappointedPresentation was great. Our server was excellent but again the taste was very underwhelming and while I understand the place was busy I would expect our meal be a bit warmer then what we recieved.Wish I had just kept my expectations in my head and found something else for dinner
Our experience in this restaurant was really bad, steak taste very good but the customer service is the worst in Omaha. The service is better in Mc Donalds. Manager is very agresive and used bad words, they are xenophobes. I dont recomend this place for tourists or people from another countries.
Great service and food. Small on portions.
I expected better food for the price, they are asking far too much for what they deliver. My steak was under seasoned and very chewy. The rest of the food was what I would expect from a Dennys type of restaurant. I will not be returning. They get 2 stars for the wait service.
The steak sandwich, hashbrowns & Long Island Iced Teas were FANTASTIC! I cant wait to get back there!
This is a locally owned establishment and a nice change from the chain steak houses.I enjoyed an amazing rib eye with attentive and friendly service. Nobody gives away good steaks these days, but I found an honest special on my ribeye. No room for desert.Theres a club in half of the building featuring a live big bang playing to a packed house (they were really good). The restuarant side wasnt crowded at all.#travelformortals
Very hospitable, excellent service, food not as good as in the past, prices too high for the food. Surprised a steakhouse not offering any steak sauce though they did have A1.
The food was so wonderful and the band that was playing was amazing.
One of my all time favorite places to take clients and family alike for 20+ years. Great atmosphere, friendly, prompt staff, and normally great food. However, recently, it feels like the kitchen is off. This evening, both my guest and I ordered the prime rib, both were chewy and a bit firm, not at all the succulent entree I am accustomed to. The flavor was still quite good, but not what I am used to from Anthonys. I truly hope my last couple of visits are not foretelling of the end of an Omaha icon
Loved everything. Great service with a smile. Will be back soon.
Just average not bad but not great for a $40 steak
Wonderful, helpful, friendly waitress... Food was excellent. Served promptly and was hot. The beef noodle soup was home made and was delishious. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner
Im impressed with the wait staff! True professionals who dont hover but are also available. Fantastic!
First let me give you a little back story. My uncle cooked at this restaurant for a few decades, the portion size was good, in the quality was impeccable. A gentleman named Victor became the head cook, again the food was superfluous. Tonight me, my fiance, in two of our friends went there for Valentines dinner. They each had a sirloin, I had my usual which is a prime rib, in my fiance had the plank salmon. I asked them what they thought about the quality of their food, to which they replied, it was decent. My prime rib was cooked very close to perfect ( were not talking about a Michelin star restaurant so close to perfect is good enough) the flavor was decent but lacking, the au jus was as you would expect. Where I was truly disappointed, was with the salmon, which is something I cook regularly for myself and others. A properly cooked salmon should have an amazing taste, it should be flaky, it should almost melt on your tongue, if you take your fork and pull it it should come apart in layers, the crust should be crisp in the inside very moist, although the crust of the salmon was crisp as it should be and the surface flavor was decent, not exceptional, the inside would be best described as mushy and in no way resembled what a properly cooked salmon should be. The vegetable medley that came with it also had issues, even though the flavor was good there were several carrots and brussel sprouts that was far to crisp, it was definitely not cooked properly. My last complaint in regards to the salmon dish is this, for a place in Omaha Nebraska, people with big appetites, the portion size should have been double what it was. I have no problems paying $30 or $60 or $90 for a petite sized serving of salmon if the quality is representative of the price, simply not the case with this dish.I have no clue who the head chef is that currently runs the restaurant, but it would appear as though this person might need further education, if something comes out of that kitchen that is subpar, thats is on you, you are the last line of approval for every single plate that comes out.Lastly I want to talk about the service. Again for the prices, not acceptable period at Texas Roadhouse that service would still not have been acceptable, when your customers drink gets low you refill it you do not let them sit there without a drink for over 5 minutes. Also our appetizers were brought out and allowed to sit for approximately 3 minutes before they found our waitress, in addition to that our main course was also allowed to sit for well over 5 minutes before finally being brought to our table, despite me after 2 minutes waving my hand saying that is our food. It was there for so long I actually took a picture of it, which I will post below. This restaurant is in serious need of an overhaul, it disgusts and saddens me to see a place that was once such an excellent establishment to eat at fall this far.
I ordered a medium rare and it came out borderline medium well, not all was lost though as our service was great and the atmosphere is no let down.
Poor service and overcooked food ruined a special occasion. It was an 80th birthday, which they never acknowledged, even though they were told several times. I regret going there
Way over priced. Very limited menu. Service was ok but should have been better.
Known for great steak, but my wife ordered the tomahawk pork chop. It was the best Ive ever eaten. She shared with entire family. We all agreed.
Had a surprise birthday party for my guy in the Ozone Lounge. Received excellent customer service from start to finish, the event coordinators Emma and Kristina answered all of my questions in a timely manner and were accommodating and attentive to me and my guests. The appetizers were also very good!
Great steaks get the Filet or prime rib it will not disappoint.
Great steak. Efficient service. Highly recommend.
Service is great. Food was awesome! Thanks!!!
We were there for a meeting so ate in private room. Food was phenomenal. Service was awesome as well overall great place. Appetizers and food was great.
Ate here after my wifes grandma passed. The staff was very accommodating and took the necessary social distancing measures and all staff were wearing masks. Food was good. We had appetizers and chicken parm was huge and delicious. Would recommend.
Definitely very disappointed. There were four adults in our group and two children. All four of us adults ordered steaks with mashed potatoes. To start off all of the mashed potatoes were cold. Been talking with the pieces of meat were at Best third-tier cuts. One was sent back because it was over cups and mine was also overcooked but everything seems like such a hassle I just went ahead and ate mine. You would have thought for the prices that we would have had people dusting the crumbs off of the table after we took every single bite. If you look at the prices reflected on their online menu at about $6 per plate and that is their new menu pricing. For the quality of food you get you are much much better off going to a chain Steakhouse. So disappointed as have been coming here for years.
Didnt get a chance to eat here. Wife was too tired to hear the loud music during dinner.
Amazing steak not really a once a week place due to price but if youre celebrating something them got great steaks and sides that never disappoint. Plus the wait staff are very nice and polite and can help with pretty much anything you could need.
I know this is a steakhouse but it would be nice to offer at least one meal for a vegeterian or vegan. We look on your website prior to our group coming and it had one or two things to offer but when we got there the menu was different. My wife had to eat a side salad and potato wedges. It wouldnt be too difficult to offer a big salad or something. Also service was terrible.Barley seen our waitress the whole time.
Visiting from L.A. This is a very nice steakhouse. Good ambience. Rib eye was delicious. Baked Potato was loaded and not puny. Asparagus was cooked just right. They could stand some You-tube videos on Mac and cheese. I sent mine back. I am an aficionado. The same with the onion rings, except I didnt send it back.
Steaks came out cold and flavorless. Wait staff neglected to explain we would be waiting 50 minutes for food. Manager was called but could care less as they already took the gratuity.
We went on a week night for the second time ever and the waitress Ivy did a great job of informing us about the menu and making suggestions. Our meal was awesome all the way through to the dessert which we never would have tried without her. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic steak and fantastic service. I will definitely have to go again!!
Steaks were not very good. Went with friends who use to go years ago. They thought the place had slipped also.
Not a hard place to get in to, older decor, good service, good food although I didnt care for the onion rings. Had a weird batter on them, it was hard and not crunchy at all, was like eating plastic.
Food was very bland. Steak was unevenly cooked and the entire plate felt lacking of any seasoning. Pasta dish was slightly better but again lacked any real flavor. Staff was nice and quick to take care of items however.
Great food and wonderful staff.
To start I had the thunder salad. I was impressed they had a salad dressing similar to French so that was a bonus and a hit. I also sampled my friends soup which was very flavorful. My main course was 6oz filet mignon medium well with the shredded hash browns, both of which were really bland. I myself am not an avid steak eater but decided to give Omaha a shot and was pretty disappointed. Its a shame if u have to dip ur steak into ketchup to give it some flavor let alone a filet mignon. The waitress Kristina was so kind and on the ball. We even talked about different steaks and whatnot.
