I must first say that I enjoy the food... However, the service that you can expect here doesnt merit even the one star. I called @ 7:45 pm on 09/14/2021. I ATTEMPTED to order prime rib and escargot for takeout and was told that they are too busy to accommodate a takeout order. So I paid them a visit to see this for myself. Once I got there (8pm), it was nearly empty. This isnt the first time Ive been denied takeout. Another evening, while waiting at the bar for my takeout order, I had been lectured by a cook about how I needed to pay for my side of tomatoes. ??? Um, OK. But heres the thing, I didnt ring the food up because Im not an employee. I have NEVER experienced such lousy service. They dont deserve the patronage. I got ribs from the Longhorn Steakhouse instead.
This place was Awesome! Many fine restaurants are having staffing issues or are slow in service. I went here on a Friday Night @ 7:50 the place seemed to be full up but they still had room for us. They got our drinks right away, then appetizer, bread, salad all with a comfortable break of 5 min after each service. Right when we were done with salad our main course arrived. It was excellent! Awesome timing and awesome flavor.Bro Sebastian took 50 minutes on a weeknight to get to our main course out and the place was at a low capacity. I am definitely returning to Jericos.
Ive been going to this place every birthday since I was 14 to get a prime rib. 21 years later, it is still absolutely the best prime rib in Omaha.
I had a problem with just about every part of the meal. The soup option, prime rib Chili, either didnt actually have prime meat or they over cooked it until it was dry and chewy. The sandwich I ordered also said in the description that it had prime rib on it, what they brought to my table was a bun with nothing but a Grey, bland, completely unseasoned meat that was also very dry. No way that was prime rib. I also ordered a side of coconut shrimp, it was very mushy, I only ate 1 of them because it was so bad. We also ordered escargot for the table, the snails were pretty bland as well and the bread they served with it was stale. I would rate this a 0 if I could. It is NOT worth the high prices they charge.
Best Prime Rib Ive had in a long time...No knife needed. Great Service also and everything was time out and served perfectly..
Excellent prime rib! My boyfriend and I were passing through and were lucky to find this gem in Omaha. We really loved the menu of options and the seafood was fresh too. The service was very warm and welcoming.
What a gem! We were pleasantly surprised with the service and food! I would agree with the description of Omahas best prime rib! It was tender, juicy, and cooked to medium rare perfection! We had phenomenal service too! We will definitely be back on a future visit and will recommend to others!
Prime rib was as good as advertised, damn near perfect. Could have used a larger portion of the garlic mashed potatoes. Service was top notch!
Driving through Omaha, of course we had to stop for steak! We got takeout and were originally a little concerned when we drove up to see we’d ordered steaks from a restaurant in a strip mall. But WOW. My husband was raised on a farm with cattle and he said “this is one of the best steaks I’ve had in years!” That pretty much says it all!
One of the best in Omaha. Prime rib was excellent. They have redecorated and it no longer looks like 1975 in the dining room and bar.
Ordered a 10 oz prime rib medium rare. It was overcooked, tough and grisly. Very disappointing for a 10 oz prime rib costing $36 ! My wife ordered a prime rib sandwich that she said was just ok., nothing dpecial.
Filet lacked flavor, prime rib fine but a little tough. Usual smaller salad. Service very good. Pricey.
I ordered a steak and it was pretty good. I was extremely disappointed with my appetizer. I got coconut shrimp. Such a rip off. It was $12 for 4 shrimp so I expected them to be large and delicious. They were very small, mostly breading. The sauce was just plain orange marmalade. I get the frozen coconut shrimp at Trader Joes and recognized it. They didnt even bother making their own sauce, they just use the sauce that comes with the frozen shrimp.
The bread was so good. The wine was excellent. I got a prime rib with higher than usual fat content. It was quite bland so I added salt and pepper. I usually enjoy the au jus but not this time. It was too vinegary. The sides were delicious though. Quite pricey!
Really old school look. Excellent service. Top notch steak. My wife had the best prime rib in several years. Nice red wine: locally sourced also. Its a long drive from Bellevue (thats why only 4 stars). We will be back, though.
It was pretty solid. I had the lobster tail which I thought was better than Red Lobster’s last time I went there. Jerico’s warms the butter up for you over a flame. The butter that comes with the bread was soft (some places serve it still cold so you can’t spread it). I wish it had been salted butter, but not a big deal. The bread itself seemed like it was from scratch (👍🏻) though I could be wrong. The service was great. I wish the grasshopper drink was a little sexier than just a goblet banquet glass of green liqueur. It needs some chocolate shavings or some whipped cream or sprinkles or something. Baked potato was meh. All-in-all it was ok and I’d be willing to give it another go.
Probably great for a date. Went there with a co-worker because were here for work from out of town and wanted a great steak. Its humble outside doesnt tell you its a solid steak place on the inside. It is very dark inside though, and many of the customers we saw were quite old. Service was average, especially since it was a Tuesday and they werent very busy. From the app we ordered to the chili I had, to our main entrees, all of the food was great. Couldnt eat it all. Prime rib and New York strips were cooked correctly to order. Drinks were solid too.
Had the one of the rooms for a party. It was cozy and we were never pressured to leave. Had the prime rib, it was decent. Great wine selection. Wide variety of specialty drinks that I was too full.to try after eating dinner and dessert. The Jerichos Special dessert was exceptional.
My wife and a perfectly prepared porterhouse made for a great date night
We had a last-minute get together Saturday night that was a very important family gathering. Jericos was the best in accommodating everyone in our own private room the best food and the best service! Thank you so much!
Great service, good prices, excellent food!
Prime rib was awesome. Would have taken a picture but it was too good and I couldnt put the fork down.
The staff was kind. The atmosphere was intimate and definitely clean. Not busy for a Sunday evening. We took a family of 5 (all ordering adult entrées). Our total bill including tip was $290. The best part of the meal was the wine.We did enjoy the bruschetta appetizer. We ordered two prime ribs, a new york strip, and two filet mingons (one had added the lobster tail). It wasnt bad, but it wasnt anything memorable either. One filet was ordered medium rare and was undercooked. The rest of it was the equivelant of Texas Roadhouse- it was what you would expect from a chain but not a local favorite which made it pretty overpriced for the experience.I definitely would not bring my whole family back. I MIGHT go back with my husband on a different night of the week just to give it another chance, but thats a big maybe .
We had delicious food and fabulous service
Good food. Worth the money.Great service.
So so I guess.. Ordered a steak med rare got well done not med not rare. 😔 With all the hype about it being 5 stars naww.... 2 at best. Chef You need to learn to watch your food Instead of being in rush. The reason why I say that is because there was no one else in the Restaurant.
Ordered prime rib and filet to go. Excellent house salads. To go setup needs work. Had to wait on bartender to finish several drink orders before paying for and picking up food.
Open since 1978. An icon Omaha steakhouse. It was crowded, make a reservation, the service & food was excellent.
Nice sit down establishment service was great however steer clear of the prime rib i have never had one so bad so unedible in my life I might as well tried to drink the salt shaker
Driving by you would never know the gem that awaits behind the door of what looks like an older strip mall. Entering you come into a dim lit interior with a modern bar in the back and view of the kitchen off in the corner. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. The prime rib melts in your mouth and was seasoned very well. The other steaks were juicy and cooked to order. I cant think of anything I could ask for to create a better experience.
We secured a room for a celebration of life. They were very accommodating. Thanks to all that were there.
First time visiting but have heard great things. It was absolutely amazing. Great steaks and cocktails were incredible. Waitress had a great personality. Will return for special events in the future no doubt.
Excellent, excellent food! Great Service!Cannot recommend it enough.
Had a great time at happy hour with my family. The food and martinis were good and waitress was friendly.
Steak was medium ware when I asked for medium well. Took the steak back and burn it up. It was the worst steak I ever had
Great meal service was excellent. Look forward to the next visit.
We ate at Jericos for our 2nd time. Absolutely every thing on the menu is high quality and excellent tasting for very fair prices. Great service as well. This has become a new favorite and regular date night spot for us!
This place was awful 3 of my family members and I ordered the same steak and they all came out different and over cooked. No consistency at this place also looks terrible inside and out and smells like feet.
Been going there for Prime Rib for the past 40 years, also GREAT staff especially Danielle 3rd generation.
Love the food, the mushrooms are fantastic
Took some family there for a little celebration with four people on a Sunday night. We were very dissatisfied with the service. We looked up reviews and were very excited to try it since it got best place in omaha from 2016 to 2019 the food was amazing but the fact that we didnt get the wine we ordered for ten minutes to our waters never being refilled was very disheartening. As someone in the industry I was very let down by this experience.
Good food, but definitely a little pricey. Not sure its worth the value, but it is good.
The ambiance matches the decor. Its a place where locals go to get a good steak. We enjoy our steaks and wine. As Omaha steaks houses go, this is on our list to repeat.
We had a wonderful dinner, wonderful waitress and loved how well they follow covid safety!!❤
Amazing food, friendly staff.
Old school steak and seafood. Food was good and steaks were pretty tender. We had a party of 15 and ate in a side room with one server. She did an outstanding job of keeping up with the group and proactively asking what was needed. Great service and location.
Super yummy and amazing staff!!
Nice spot, but very disappointed this time around. We ordered the Lamb Chops Blackened (cooked medium), and Prime Rib. Prime Rib was very good as normal. Lamb Chops were very rare. We were 10 minutes into dinner before our server stopped back to ask how everything was, when we told her, she said she didn’t know why they could never cook them right. Well she never offered to have them remade, warmed up, removed from the bill, or anything. Needless to say, we were charged full price, including the $3 to Blacken them, no apology, no anything. Just disappointed.
Best prime rib in Omaha!
I often meet people here to talk. prices were decent. they have so many good reviews for a reason.
Steaks are amazing. We had prime rib and ny strip. Both cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning.
I love steak! And I’ve worked in food service industry for 10 years. Had some guests visit us from west coast who just wanted the best steak one can find in midwest. They’ve heard Omaha is known for great steaks. Someone recommended Jerico’s, I figured I’ve never dined there, I like trying new places so why not?Folks.... do not make that mistake. Ordered a sirloin steak medium, it was rubbery. As if they just defrosted it and threw it in microwave.Hard to cut thru. Loaded baked potato was undercooked. Our friends ordered New York Strip and prime rib... both overcooked. I’ve had better steaks in 24 hour diners. King Kong restaurant serves better sirloin and it’s a fast food. I usually get my steaks either in Charlestone’s or Johnny’s steakhouse, Jerico’s will charge you more for a, what I’m pretty sure is a frozen steak, and half the quality. I will never eat there again. There are so many other great restaurants in Omaha, Jerico’s was simply disappointing.
Jerichos is always ideal for both an intimate rendezvous or a large family get together. The prime rib is some of the best around. Fresh bread is served with your soup or salad and nothing Ive tried is anything other than delicious. My only negative is the chairs. Some are incredibly comfortable, others recline so far I feel like I may fall backwards. Overall 8/10. Will eat there again.
I never been in Jerichos, so I dont know why google asks me for a Review. Thanks.
First time here for my works 🎄🎅 party and it was great!! Food, drinks and staff was pleasant
Always delicous!!
Visited during COVID in Jan 2021.Bread and soft butter came to the table. Bread was so good!Excellent dessert drink menu and regular drink menu. The menus given were not very descriptive. I was relieved to look at the menu online prior to read the details of the items. The menu given to us just said pork chop or stuffed shrimp didnt say what it was stuffed with. The online menu does provide a better description.Upon arrival, it was difficult to put your coat down/around in your chair. Although large and leather, they did get your legs sweaty from sitting for a long time, and didnt have a good place to put your coat/purse because the back of the chair was too large to drape your coat on. I guess leave your coat in your car next time if you are seated in the chairs.Ordered the stuffed shrimp. Unfortunately hard to eat since the tails were left on. The crab stuffing didnt stay on the shrimp well. It was messy and difficult eating this meal .Ordered a loaded baked potato--does not not served with butter. Only sour cream, green onion and cheese. Not enough proportions however for how large the potato was. Potato did not have a salty crust on the outside either. We had to use the butter packets that came with the bread to put on the loaded baked potato.Another member also ordered the pork chop. Was way too salty however.Chili soup was good! While our dinner was being prepped, i could see into the small kitchen and noticed our waitress was also assisting prepping the food. With bare hands, after she touched other peoples dirty plates, dirty credit cards, she dug deep into the decorative green bucket and pinched off some decorative greens for the plates with her bare, dirty hands. Also noticed she did the same with lemon that she seasoned. YUCK!I was happy that the cooks and wait staff were masked at all times. Didnt see any gloves on the cooks hands though.Awkward at times because no music was being played. Not sure if i would return for the food, but for the ice cream drinks and pies maybe.Cleaning:No social distancing of tables of 6+ feet.No sanitizing the seats, chairs, or door knobs while i was there. Only wiped down the tops of the tables. Not sure if the paper menus were re-used or not.Salt/pepper shakers were not cleaned after each table use.Wait staff touched food/plate items with dirty hands. No gloves.Cooks not wearing gloves. Masks were worn however.Hand sanitizer is not offered on each table.Womens restroom did not have the foot door opener either.
Service was great, food was good and hot when brought to you. First time back since Covid, will be back.
Tasty steak and fabulous service
The service was very slow even though they were not busy. Took 10+ minutes just to come take our drink order then another 10 to take our food order. The 2 prime ribs at our table were good but the 2 ribeyes were awful. Poor cuts of steak, no marbling at all. One was well done even though it was ordered mid rare. Took another 10 minutes to get anyone’s attention to get a new steak. First time I have ever sent food back. The server came back and said they blamed her for taking the wrong steak but she knew it was their fault. New steak was cooked better but still not a good cut of meet. Choice at best. Not what you would expect from a steak house. $160 for 4 people.... expected much better all the way around.
Great atmosphere and the prime rib is phenomenal
Jericos is classical in all the right ways. The food is amazing, the servers are always incredibly pleasant and detail oriented. This is easily one of the best steakhouses in Omaha, and even better they dont rely on gimmicks like some of the other places. Cant recommend this place enough!
The prime rib melt was like butter. Every bite just melted in my mouth and tasted fantastic. This was well worth the price. The building is pretty dark so if you leave in the daylight prepare for your eyeballs to melt but still worth it.
Fantastic prime rib. Really nice staff. I remember eating here in about 1979, during one of those hot and humid Omaha summer evenings, just after they had opened for business. Was there on a date with this beautiful girl, I think it was dimly lit inside, absolutely perfect! Good to see this restaurant is still around after all these years, which is not a surprise.
Great prime rib
Great Service Great Prime RibAlso if you have room (or take it to go)Delicious in house home made Desserts
Best prime rib in town! Ive been there forever, staff is amazing! Ive never been disappointed when I come for dinner.
One star is too many. First time Ive been back after a long hiatus. The service alone was dreadful. Long waits in-between drink refills of any level. On to the actual meal......it was the toughest piece of prime rib I have ever had. The side I had, (hasbrowns) were good but was such a sparce serving one fit for a five year old. I have deceided I will not return there every again. If your reading this please go to Brother Sebastians, much better place, much better service.Steve Sheppard!
The food was excellent. As good as I have had. Steak was perfect, hash browns were excellent and the carrot cake was as good as I have had.Bobby the server was also great. Our food was delivered promptly and with a smile. Extra rolls were offered and the to go items or neatly packaged for us.Althoughwe are from out-of-state, would happily go there again.
The waitress was very professional and knowledgeable and the different cut of steak. The only issue was my husband steak was order MW but can out MR so it had to be sent back. The restaurant was very clean and well designed
Ordered steak well done comes out with juice running out obviously not well done. Sent back came back still red in it. Not sure why so hard to cook well done.
Very delicious. Ill return family next time. Prices are fair.
People were nice ... but dont use a credit card they will add more even after you tip. My advice take cash here or dont go.
Classic style steakhouse with a darker ambiance and the kitchen eight next to the dining area. Very affordable lunch menu! Best ground steak I have ever had. The pie is excellent as well. Service was fast.
Ribeye was cooked well and the service was good
Excellent food. Service was prompt and professional. Social distancing was observed making us comfortable. Atmosphere was pleasant. Reservations recommended.
Amazing food! I also love their drink options especially the ones with ice cream. Its a twist on things. We love it
Great place for prime rib or steak. Always had good service.
Outstanding food and terrific service. Never disappointed!
The servers were definitely having an off night, and the decor is super dated, but the food was decent. I watched one table next to me have a server stop by 5 times before mine stopped by once. Ill chalk that up to a bad night. The prime rib was good as promised, though I think it was probably on par with most other decent prime rib, like at the 801 chophouse. If you are into a trendier setting and menu, this isnt your place. If you are looking for an old school supper club type atmosphere with good prime rib, then this is the right spot for you.
First time visit so don’t know if i caught them on a bad day. Service was very slow. I paid $30 for a medium rare ribeye. They served me a half inch thick steak that looked like it came from Walmart that was cooked well done. The next one that came out was cooked to the right temp but still tasted like a choice steak from Walmart. Very disappointing and definitely not worth $30.
Had a wonderful take out meal of prime rib, baked potato, broccoli, salad and soup with cheese cake for desert. Tasted great, incredible portions and very reasonably priced. Support our local restaurants and tip well
Good food. Young ones in the room though. Not always a bad thing... No loud bars, no music, no sticky dried beers on the tables
The food is great and the staff is awesome
My wife ordered a medium well steak and I ordered a medium cooked steak. My wifes was well done and mine was basically raw. My hash browns were fine the soup and chili were good. All in all, not horrible, but not great.
Amazing food. Get the hash browns!!
Very good food stiff drinks Lydia C great server highly recomind trying out for a special date nighy
Excellent food and friendly service. The prime rib is the best in town. They serve excellent desserts, as well, with my favorite being the coconut cream pie. This is my favorite place to go for special occasions or for a regular meal. I always go during the happy hour, when they offer incredible pricing on a limited menu (but not very limited, theres still a lot of choices). The happy hour meals include soup and salad and coffee or iced tea. Their iced tea is the best Ive ever tasted at a restaurant. The only negative i could even think of at all with this place is I dont like the chairs. Im always afraid Ill topple over in them, so I sit in a booth. The restrooms could stand some updating as well.
Pretty good prime rib. Service was good.
Great service. The waiter was engaging. The steak(ny strip) was bland as hell. Cooked nice but no flavor. Prices are 30 and above for steaks..i should have just went to longhorn.
They were very busy Christmas Eve night. The waitress was a bit overwhelmed, but she still did an excellent job. In spite of having to wait a little while, she did fill our tea and coffee several times. My steak and lobster was delicious. The staff was friendly and the food was great! I will go back again. Waitress was too busy to take any pictures for us.
Been going here since I was a little kid. Great prime rib and great pie! Love the lounge chairs they are so comfortable!
Cozy atmosphere and delicious food at a reasonable price. I had a 6 Oz filet, medium, and a loaded baked potato. I also had a salad with ranch dressing and iced tea. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked and the baked potato was really good. I also had a piece of wonderful key lime pie! The wait staff was friendly and helpful.
