Just brought my 16-year-old son here before orientation for his first job. He had shaggy/long hair that he grew out in order to cut it into the old-school Brad Pitt style. We took the first available appointment(don’t know the barber’s name). My son showed him three different photos of the same Brad Pitt hair style he wanted. By the time I walked back from getting food, his hair was all gone. Every hit of length he had grown out for months to get this look.The front looks like an extremely short bowl cut.It’s the most basic cut and looks NOTHING like the three photographs he showed the barber.His confidence is shattered. As I type this, he is absolutely dejected.It is absolutely unacceptable to not get the haircut you request when provided visuals. If the stylist was not skilled in creating the look he desired, he should have said so. No harm, no foul.Now, my son has to start his first job with low self-confidence.

I’ve been a Boardroom Salon Member for 2 years and before that I went to Van Micheal’s Salon. Boardroom would be $70 a haircut and Van Micheal’s would be $75. Boardroom is “drama queen central”. I’ve been yelled at because I gave them a $15 tip when the week before I gave someone else a $20 tip. The haircuts have been super hit or miss… I mean one week was a 6/10 and then the next a 3/10. They can’t retain talent. It’s a revolving door. Als Barbershop in Alpharetta on the other hand… is an oasis for dudes that actually want a FIRST CLASS haircut and amazing experience. I’ve had my hair cut by multiple people here and they are all dialed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! No drama and 1/4th the price of everywhere else around here. Just got the worst hot shave I’ve ever had...my neck feels like a bloody Brillo pad. Maybe the owner knows what he’s doing, but the staff sure doesn’t. If you have ever had a good hot shave, you know the difference.

Went there cause I wanted to try a new place. I specifically told Al that I didn’t want my hair too short and that I like to style my hair to the side so I can gel my hair. Absolutely didn’t hear me at all. I cannot style it at all. Way too short. Also he’s way to rough. He grabs your hair and jerks your head around kinda hard. And after your haircut is done he combs your hair the same way... your head jerks around hard too. Bad haircut bad experience

Told the lady cutting my hair to trim the top. She ignored me and cut off 2 1/2 inchs. Ill never come back due to the hair stylist not listening to my requests and them cutting to a hair style they like and think looks good vs. what i want.

So I went to go get a haircut for the first time at this barbershop on the only evening this week I could fit it in. It just so happened to be the coldest day of the year, but that didn’t stop me. My hair was too long. I jumped out of my car, walked to the barber shop and pulled on the door at 6:30pm and it wouldn’t open. Wait!!! What is going on?!? The website and the front door specifically says it closes at 7pm! Why is it closed early??? AnnoyingHow can you run a business like this? Your website and your front door says closing time is at 7pm, not 6:30!!!I wanted to support the local small business and was hoping it would be a lifelong relationship. No second chance after this fiasco.

Al does perfect job always with my hair. Never had that experience anywhere before. Also their hot shave is amazing.

These guys are amazing! I have been coming in for over a year and have sent several friends here who now realize the difference between a good barber and a bad barber. I have never had a bad haircut but I prefer Hasan and Al although the Russian girl is way cuter! I always get a hair cut and a beard trim and get compliments regularly. The barber shop banter is always fun with these guys as well. Keep up the great work guys!

I was a little skeptical when I walked in and saw that a men’s cut was $20. Then I had my hair cut and see why it’s $20. I’d pay $50! That was the BEST haircut I’ve ever had! The attention to detail was incredible with the hot shaving cream and straight edge line up after the cut. The hot towel, the aftershave, all for $20, ended up being an incredible deal. I will be back!

Rebecca did a great job fixing the horrible homemade cut I did on myself. She was friendly and asked questions to make sure it was right before I left. They greeted me the minute I walked in and everyone was nice. Its well lit, clean and inviting. Id definitely recommend you try this shop out!!!

Just got played for $47 on a $25 job. Otherwise it would have been a nice cut. Way too expensive, go elsewhere.

Ive been a regular at Als (aka European Barber) for over 8 years. I always take first available and never had a bad experience here. Chelsea, Hassan, and Majid are all pros. Great place for a beard trim or hot shave, too. I look forward to visiting the new location in 2019!

Hassan is the only barber we would like to see there. He does a great job, he did my sons first hair cut and did a great job with being patient And doing a GREAT job. AL, the owner, on the other hand is the complete opposite. I brought my son in a week ago and he was very impatient with him. Didn’t even cut half of his hair and kept insisting we come back another time. I ended up having to fix it myself. My husband got his hair cut there yesterday. When he came home it didn’t look any different, just a little shorter. I said “who did you see?” He said, “AL” I said, “ is that the same guy you saw for the last hair cut?” He said “yes” I said, “stop going to see him, he sucks! Your bangs are crooked just like our sons... and it doesn’t look good.” The bangs look like a zigzag going across the forehead. Luckily he just combs his hair across so you can’t tell. But this AL guy needs to just run his business and not cut hair. Go see Hassan.

I don’t know why anyone would want to ever go to this shop. I asked fir a beard trim (how silly could that be); the guys not only almost shaved off all my beard, he also lined it without even noticing that he had significantly raised the line; all he had to say when I told him “at least you could have asked me” was: now it’s too late. When he was done, I saw that he had zigzagged my neck, and when I complained, he was not happy at all! Guess who that guy was: he was the OWNER!!!

Hossein does an amazing job and always remembers how I want my hair cut. Best local place I have found.
