If I could give a negative star review to my experience with this company, I would. I never ever write reviews of companies and I am so enraged by how they treated me that I am writing my first negative review ever.My car broke down on the highway about 20 miles from my home. I called Silverline because they had a 4-star rating and I was stuck in the car with my kids on the side of the road far from home. The woman I spoke to told me the tow truck would arrive in 45 minutes. It obviously didnt show up, and an emergency tow service showed up with a police car and towed me to a safe location under an overpass in a scary part of town. It was my fault for allowing them to leave me there, but I ended up sitting in that safe location for another almost 3 hours waiting for the tow truck.I kept calling the company to update my location and ask where the tow truck was. They kept saying they were finishing up a call and another 45 minutes away. 45 must be their magic number because they were always somehow 45 minutes away. I ended up waiting 4 hours for this tow truck and by that point had decided to just have my car towed to a mechanic around the corner. I was originally quoted $150 at 1:30pm to tow my car from Oakland to Concord. At 5:30 the quote was now much higher considering traffic, which is why I decided to just get towed to a mechanic in Oakland.I didnt realize that the mechanic was almost literally one parking lot away from where I was (I didnt get out of the car because of the scary location in front of a homeless encampment). They tried to charge me the original $150 to literally take me through a parking lot. Once I realized how close we were I tried to talk them down and ended up getting a little bit of money shaved off, but I got the runaround from the tow mechanic and several different people over the phone. I feel like they preyed on my vulnerable situation as a woman in a town I was unfamiliar with and also as a stranded motorist. I ended up paying because there was nothing else I could do but I have never been so mad as to cuss out a stranger for screwing me over like they did. They made me wait 4 hours and screwed me on the tow fee and also did not deal with me in a professional manner. Never again and shame on you.

After not answering a phone call and not returning my call, the driver left my car, which was being towed to an auto repair store, on the street outside of the repair shop, not at the actual address. He also claimed that the auto shop had told him to park on the street, which they strenuously denied. When I later called to confirm that my car had arrived, the auto shop said that it had not although they had been expecting it. The car received a ticket for being parked on the street, and when I called ACS towing, they claimed at first that they were told to park on the street, and then that there had been no room in the lot to park the car at the auto shop. I was put on hold repeatedly for over 10-15 minutes at a time.

Using the towing services of ACS was a great expirience!i received the best service i could wish for.i recommend using only them if you are in Oakland area.thank you David for taking care of my car, you are the best.

This people are full of scam. I called and they gave me a different quote, only for them to tow my vehicle and started asking me for more money or they will tow it back to their yard. Scammers

I wouldnt use them again, they overcharged and broke my car. My car was stuck in park so the front wheels wouldnt move. They charged me extra for it and then instead of handling the car carefully they used rubber blocks under the wheels which slid on the ground. This put a lot of stress on the parking lock mechanism which was already jammed and broke it. While unloading, on one side, one of the wheels suddenly started rolling while the other side remained locked.

Really terrible customer service and service in general. Their driver messed up my towing job and they blamed it on me, rather than fixing the problem.

This is the first review I have written, and its not going to be good at all. First I must saw that after I called for a tow truck, they called me back about 30 minutes later, saying that someone is 30 minutes away ( so yes I waited for an hour, in the dark, in oakland). I then got a call from someone name Jimmy who was going to be helping me out. He was friendly and talked to me unril he reached me. During this time my hazards were on, and battery died (icing on cake right?) When he got there, he removed the tire which was in the back and put in on the front claiming that it would be more suitable for his wrecker. Me not knowing wth was going on shrugged while he did his thing. After this..... I remeber that I was quoted 49 dollars, and 10 dollars per mile. This was going to be a 200 dollar tow for a flat tire, but hey thats the price you pay for not having a spare or AAA. He got the car up, flirted with me until I got home, gave me a jumped and are you ready????? Charged me 330 dollars. Are you shocked? Yes me too! Then he made sure to tell me to yelp him LMAO! Worst place everrrrrrrrr!!!

I was over charged 150$ for a fourth dollar tow that was less then a quarter of a mile, and the excuses was he used special tools because my car would not go into drive, I guess the special tools were the hooks for the under careage of the car, if you use this service expect to get taken.

They told me one price for a jump start. It turned out another 3 times higher.
