First time at shop..went in only after reading reviews, due to looking for new nail tech.. I’m so grateful that Emmy take care of me for a no chip polish change, love the service, the look and neatness.. I will be going back in a few weeks.. Emmy did an awesome job!!!

My 2nd time getting a no chip pedi and it was another great experience. Both times I had to wait a bit since they are always busy but it’s worth the wait for the amazing results and friendly service for an affordable price.

My mom has been going here for years and while I was home visiting I went with her. My acrylics look amazing and the prices were more than fair. I highly highly recommend this place and my only complaint is that I don’t live closer!

I was a walk-in and Nina greeted me within a couple of minutes. She asked what services I wanted and directed me to pick my polish. Tim was my nail technician. Tim was professional, thorough and detail oriented; matching/painting my nails the exact color of the picture I showed him. I will recommend Modern Nails to family, friends, frenemies…

We’re able to see me with no appointment. The lady who did my full set was amazingly friendly and gave me the best massage while my nails were drying. Best prices too. I will be coming back in the future!!

The shop is nice and clean, workers very pleasant and friendly.

They did my eyebrows and upper lip, at a good price. No waiting and the girls were very nice. Place seemed like aa indentured servant work force. Gave the girl a nice tip, hope she can keep it.

My wife loves this place for pedicures.

Over crowded with customers....did not follow COVID-19 guidelines of having customers 6 feet, so I left.

Update:My no chip manicure lasted a total of 4 days. I’ve gone longer with regular polish. Definitely not worth the money.Came here bc it was the only place with availability. Lady seemed rushed. It was an ok job but I wouldn’t come back.

I started coming to Modern Nails because its literally a block down from my home. Ive been there about 4 times. Each time, the job is very rushed and the outcome (mani/pedi) usually just an ok job. But like I said, was only coming here for location. (Best nail salon is LV Nails 501 Madison in Oak Park.) I went to Modern Nails on Wednesday for a fill-in and I tip very well. Thursday, I looked down at my hand, and my nail was completely broken off... I didnt hit it on anything, it was just broken. Friday, I went back to Modern Nails to get that one nail repaired. I told them how I was just there on Wednesday. They told me that I had to wait after everyones mani/pedi and it would likely take an hour. They didnt seem to care that my nail broke a day later nor were they very welcoming. If you really care how your nails look, go to LV nails in Oak Park and ask for Lilly or Kim. Mary also seems to do a decent job. Dont go to Modern Nails. Anyways, went somewhere else to get it repaired and it only took 10 mins (including dry time).

My nails didnt last long got them done on a Wednesday with acrylic french tip but they did not last at all. By Friday I could almost pop off my nails. I went to my regular nail tech near my house she they were poorly done! I got them taken off today.... What a waste of money. Id never return again...

Got a pedicure was disappointed, my nails were not cut even and nails were missing polish in some areas. I think the guy was new I hate when a newbie is assigned to you
