Great experience with getting my nails done before my trip. At the last minute they were able to accommodate me. Very knowledgeable and skillful when it comes to nail extensions. I havent had them in over a decade but my technician worked with me to find a good length. The place had a great vibe overall and Im excited to go back.
I received a gel manicure & regular pedicure, and my daughter received a mani & pedi. I was greeted upon my arrival which is always a plus for me! Lisa performed both of my services, and while I understand the reviewers that stated she is brash/direct, I appreciate the directness. I countered that with pleasantries, which resulted in a great convo during my services.My daughters nails came out good, and we were in and out. Just like I like ANY appointments!
Lisa, Im was very disappointed with your service; at the Nail Suite. I contacted you on 11/4 regarding my nail designAt that point, you assigned someone in your shop to do that design. ( I would think in accordance with their skills). Yes, you indicated that it may not be the exact same colors but you can do it. Okay, fast forward to today 11/6/2020. I come (10minutes) late for my 3:00pm appointment. I called to inform you that I was running late and someone saod thats fine. I walked in, greeted everyone & then you repeat the same thing you said on the 4th. Several times, I said thats fine, I stated we can improvise with the color.The girl begins working on my nails which initially seemed longer than usual, but I was trying to be patient with Yall process. After sitting there for 2 hours and your worker stated, I need help this doesnt seem right. You sat there and continued with what you were doingHeres my concern. Your worker indicated that this wasnt going accordingly and she needed assistance. At that point, you remained seated and did nothing to assist, even after this staff member was applying simple tips for 2 hours. You going to tell her she know how to apply tips, even after she stated she was struggling.So the bottom line is you cater to ppl that you know & dont value your new customers ( which I heard you speak about new customer everytime I came in there) on 3 different occasions. Additionally, you made a comment about another clients being late, while I was sitting there, I ignored that. The client that was in Lisa seat when I arrived said something about She dont want to say she can be there for a 3 pm appt & be late, with a smirk as she was leaving. So Im not sure, if they were having this conversation about me arriving 10 minutes late for my 3pm appointment, before I arrived 🙄, but her client definitely said that as she left.Just FYI- new customers could be just as valuable as old customers. Its poor customer service & its sad that we cant even support our own even when we want to b/c this is the outcome. For you to think its okay for me to sit there for that amount of time and leave out your establishment with an unfinished job is totally unacceptable. Then you have the nerve to suggest that your worker give me a flat paint color & then I can go where I prefer. I definitely COULD have went there from the beginning & Im sure I would not have been there for 2 plus hours & leave out with different shaped nails on each finger & no polish 👎. ( BUT I CHOSE TO SUPPORT YOU)Thats just crazy!! Oh, another suggestion, if you have incentives in your establishment you should offer it to all your clients, not just the ones you know or like ( Ex: 12 manicure get something off the next manicure). That was offered to the client next to me today, eventhough Ive been there 2 to 3 times before this & that incentive was never offered to me.So thanks for taking the $45 for this job & I still gave the worker a tip for her time!! You would NEVA get another penny from me!Remember word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertisement!!I will not return nor would I ever suggest it. Find another Black Owned Nail Salon, b/c this one is not it!!!Oh & I should have known that you conduct your business in this manner when you said you wasnt doing tips for new customers back in July but did them for your previous customers & that was confirmed 🤔I still TRIED TO SUPPORT)!!! So Sad!

WENT BACK IN ON FRIDAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM, AND THE SAME NAIL BROKE A DAY LATER,,,,,,,FOR $100, ITS NOT WORTH IT, I REALLY WANT TO SUPPORT MY PEOPLE BUT COME ON.JUST HOW YOU WAS QUICK TO GET THE MONEY, BE QUICK TO DO A EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been wanting to come here for a while & I finally made it tdy. The shop is really stylish, neat & clean. The staff is super friendly especially the owner. I love that it is also black owned. This shop is great no matter who owns it, but I love seeing a black woman handling her business. Oh & my nails came out great

I had a good experience at the salon overall and left satisfied with my gel nail tips. However less than a week later two nails broke right off. I’m disappointed in the lack of quality considering the price. I live too far to back and get them fixed...
I loved my experience here. I was treated with care and professionalism. Also the owner had no problem handling my pedi. I’ll be coming back with my daughter next week!
Lisa and the ladies at The Nail Suite always come through! My appointment was on time and Lisa provided me with realistic expectations of the outcome of nails after showing her some inspiration pictures. Jasirah (sp?) did a great job on pedicure as well! I was looking over at Minique and the nails she was doing were sooooo cute. I’m definitely coming back and telling all my friends to check them out.

Best customer service in Harlem! Clean. Able to make an online appointment with a minimum deposit. My appointment was at 10:30am and my tech was ready and on time. No waiting. Great vibe. Perfect Pedicure.... I splurged on the Spa Life Gel Pedi my toes are perfectly painted & soft..... so worth it!
Absolutely incredible experience at The Nail Suite! The energy, the ambiance, the entire nail experience was superb. My nails were done to perfection. So I’ve been looking for a new nail salon and I’m pleased to say I have found it. 1) black owned. 2) not only black owned but owned by a black WOMAN 3) exceptional service right in my own community. The atmosphere and service were both 5stars. Was my first visit and definitely not my last. Love my nails :-) I tried a gel dip and it was wonderful!
The owner and staff are absolutely awesome. I think I sat there a extra hour just engaged in conversation thats how Peaceful the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Mini was my nailtechnician. she did a wonderful job. Ive already made my next appointment.
My first time there. great environment, great energy, great staff. They made me feel as if I was a regular customer. Lisa is truly amazingly friendly. The service was top notch. I live in GA and everytime I come to NYC this is my new go to spot.
Literally the first time Ive ever stopped in a nail spa and felt 100 percent comfortable that anyone I sat down with would do a great job on my nails. (Guy Here) Really enjoyed the entire process. Very professional, very chill, (very funny folks). Any time I can get great service and a couple of good laughs, Im in. Definitely recommend this place, definitely will be back.
My pedicure was done by Lisa who is friendly and engaging. She and the other two ladies were super sweet with my 4 year old as he sat with me while getting my pedicure. The salon is inviting and clean and my service was on point. I was offered a glass of wine and gladly obliged; this put my experience over the top! I’d give more stars if I could! Thank you, ladies!!
Never been to this salon before today. The owner told me to sit down (Im not a dog) when I entered the salon. Then told me not to touch any thing as I was looking at the nail polish. When I asked What? I cant look? She said I brought it! (What does that mean? She brought it?) I guess she believes that since she did Beyonces nails, she above all others. NOT! Very unprofessional. Happy there are other professional nails salons in Harlem!
As much as I would have liked to have given this a 5, 4, or 3-star rating, I just simply couldnt. As mentioned in a previous Yelp review, the owner was a little brash & coarse, not in a rude way, but just by her way of communicating. She is VERY direct, and it could be off-putting to some.Now, on to the fun stuff! My biggest concern was the quality in addition to the service. Being that it was my first time being serviced here, I really didnt know what to expect. My nail stylist (Minnie--not sure of correct spelling) initially came over to me and lifted my hands out of the bowl to observe the soak-off progress...when she didnt say hello or greet me in any way, I then spoke to her and said hello. She responded and told me to come down to her station. Eventually, I had showed her a picture of the style that I wanted. She agreed and said no problem.As she began to execute the design, I noticed that it was taking an exorbitant amount of time to complete one piece of the artwork, and this was just the first nail that she had started. I then suggested that if she felt it was going to be too complicated, she could do an easier design. I suppose she took that to mean freestyle, because from there she basically did her interpretation of what I showed her, the problem was that it started to become too distant from what I wanted.After she had completed the majority of my nails, I decided that it was not going to be satisfactory for me, and I just simply could not pay for a service that I was not happy with. And because she took it upon herself to create her own vision for MY nails, I couldnt really stop her until I thought she was almost done, because she continued to do a design, then put me back under the UV light so on and so forth.After I finally expressed my dissatisfaction, the technician sitting next to her (fair-skinned young lady), chimed in asking me Couldnt you have said something earlier?Not only was it none of her business, but I was appalled that she accused me of not speaking up sooner, when the technician started doing her own thing, while I patiently waited to see what direction she was going in.After she removed the style, I showed her a very simple abstract style. She said no problem, but even that was still off. In addition, she did a poor job at removing the old polish that she took off, as the color was still sloppily sitting around my cuticles, not to mention that the gel was sloppy and lumpy :(Lastly, she adjusted my price to reflect this sad experience, to which I still tipped her, to which she did not say thank you, but only Have a good day. It was after 8:30 pm. Sigh............If you want the barbershop, neighborhood experience where everybody in the hood knows the salon, and drops in whenever....where the stylists are a little too focused on their favorite clients and less focused on building new clientele, because they have their day-ones, clique-mentality, then by all means!! I dont.*UPDATE*Over the last week or so, some of the gel has chipped and exposed my real, natural (long btw) nail causing it to split. Way to go Nail Suite by Lisa Logan :)

I got a mani with regular polish for my graduation this past May. I asked for a simple design on two fingers too. I had to wait about 30min after my appointment time, but was satisfied with my experience once I sat in the chair. If youre looking for a best friend experience where the nail tech asks you about your life story and has a 2hr conversation with you, this place is not for you. The nail tech I had wore earbuds in her ears and head down the entire time, but she did good work, took her time, and asked me if I was satisfied with the design while she was painting it several times. It was a typical cost for a mani, even with the design, and it lasted 2 weeks.
I’m new to the area and was in search of a black owned nail salon. I was highly impressed by my nail technician, so sweet and down to earth! Minnie seriously took care of me. I got aGel manicure and pedi and I was highly impressed. Minnie took the time to file, shape and cut my cuticles.....I changed my mind twice about my color and she was so understanding! Love this place. Also the owner is so awesome, we had a great convo ranging from politics to Hollywood gossip.....literally a great please to relax and have great “girl talk” :) can’t wait to book my next appointment!

For years finding a black owned salon that was close, professional, and efficient as well as creative was difficult. But finding the Nail Suite has been my savior. Here are a couple things that I appreciate:#1 APPOINTMENTS ONLY -as a person who is always on the go, I cant afford to sit and wait in a salon for an 1hr or 2. When I set my appointment with the nail tech here, I know Ill walk in and walk out in a reasonable time.#2 ATMOSPHERE - there is a great balance of professionalism and sisterhood. The staff is down to earth, funny, and smart. We have conversation about everything that is needed to make my service enjoyable. Also very accommodating, if there is any issue, they are always willing to please.#3 PRODUCTS AND KNOWLEDGE- They use the top of the line products for your services, also they use another local business for their scrubs, and cremes. In my profession I always have my hands in water and when my nail tech realized that the product wasnt lasting, she tried until we found one that was great for me. Huge plus+++++. Nail care is their intention and it shows. My nails last around 2.5- 3 weeks.I love this nail salon and if I could give them more stars I would. Definitely make a trip here!
