This was my first appointment at this nail salon and sadly I was running late so I called to apologize. Was told, “No problem, see you in 20 min.” I was so pleased they were still willing to accommodate my appointment! I enjoyed chatting with Jennifer while she worked quickly and very efficiently on my nails. Such an enjoyable experience, I will definitely recommend and return!

Very professional and clean! The woman that did my manicure was wonderful and attentive. I loved how my black gel polish turned out along with the fall leaves nail art.

NEVER again will I step foot in that door and spend a penny of my money there. I recently moved to the area and I chose this shop because of the 4+ rating, but quickly learned that it was not deserving of such a rating, especially not the way the owner treated me. To begin with, the nail tech did not do the best job on my nails. They looked nice the day she did them, but after only two days, my gel polish was chipping and by the following day, three of my nails broke and two more cracked deep on my nail. I understand that that no nail tech can guarantee that your nails won’t chip or break just because you use gel polish, but in all the years that I’ve been getting my nails done, my nails have never broken and chipped like that after only two days. So I decided to go back and they agreed to fix it. Now because my nails were shorter, I asked if they could just put a clear polish instead of the color I previously had. The owner came over and said it could not be done, I’d have to pay for a color change and that was the policy. I asked how different it is whether they put new coats of the previous polish or if they simply put clear and he began to get loud repeating that that was the policy and they could take it off and give me a refund. At that point, I was annoyed and agreed so that I could leave. Once I was finished and sitting down waiting for my refund, the owner came over and stood in front of me and handed me $10. This was clearly not a full refund after they had just taken the polish off and left me with nothing. As I tried to explain that to him, he stepped closer to me with his hand up and again argued a point that was completely irrelevant to the poor service I received. I told him that I didn’t like it and to please back up. When I pointed out that he was being disrespectful because he kept talking over me, he said “We’re all friends here. These are my customers. This is a small town and they all know me.” I began to get his drift and realize that he was trying to tell me that I didn’t belong there. I understood clearly the point he was trying to get across. I don’t like to be anywhere that I’m not welcome and I will not return. Poorly skilled technician, poor service…no second chances there.

La Chic always does a great job on my nails. They are friendly, courteous and willing to do whatever you like on your nails, even if its out there.

We made an appointment and they made us wait for so long. They were rude and didn’t do a good job. Don’t waste your time and money.

First she puts my feet in scalding water. They hurt my toe with the sharp tool. I’m pretty tough but she was god awful! And she left polish on my skin. I’m away so I had to go buy polish remover! Will never go back!!

Always get my nails done here every two weeks! They do the best they can and it’s always so clean at La Chic. I also brought my boyfriend here and he loved getting a regular mani/pedi. I definitely would recommend this nail salon to anyone on the island!

Such a wonderful salon. I do not understand how people think they are rude or anything. I don’t get that from them. They are very professional and will listen to what it is you say. I mean it may be a bit difficult to hear them clearly due to the mask and all at the moment, but their accent is strong too. All 3 of the ladies who have pampered me and my nails have done an excellent job.Nina being one of them. And I am always finding myself going there! Make sure you bring cash to tip them.

My husband an I love to go for pedicures together. Having recently moved to Newport and looking for our new go to spot we accidentally happened upon La Chic Nails. I can honestly say that I got the best pedicure I have ever had. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be going back.

La Chic is my nail place of choice on Aquidneck Island because their prices are SO much fairer than places like Star Nails (which is still great, but pricy). They always do a great job at La Chic and I leave happy with my nails, but the employees can occasionally be rude or aggressive. Otherwise, they do a pretty good job!

The lady did my nails and the nail polish is so bad never again i paid 70$ for a horrible set of nails that are lumpy and messy

I had a great experience at La Chic today. Jennifer was awesome! I was being particular because I had a vision in mind of what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations. I will be returning :)

Ive been going to them since 2004 and I wouldnt go any where else the owners are amazing and do perfect job everytime. This was the first salon Id ever got too and it will be the last Ill go too. Ive been to many nail salons when I first started going they just dont seem to do the work that la chic has always been able to do!! Best nail salon on the island!!

This was a terrible place! The staff was so rude and didn’t listen to anything I asked. I called before hand and asked how much an acrylic fill with regular polish was and they said $18. When I got there they said its $5 to remove the polish I had on.. ok?? It’s a “change” not a full set. Obviously I had polish on. They said $10 because I had long nails.. ok sure. And then I asked for 2 colors with NO design and that was an extra $5 because I wanted more than one color. Then the color wasn’t even similar to the one I had picked out on the displayed set because the bottle was CHEAP. I ended up only doing one color and she made me pay before I finished my nails and refused to refund me the $5 she charged for 2 colors even though I got one and said “it wasn’t that much more.” Also did a TERRIBLE job. Never again going there. Terrible staff and terrible job.

Pretty standard pedicure services. $30 for basic, no military discount in case ur wondering. Nothing bad to say about the place.

I would never go back. I received a gel manicure and was super disappointed! Im very unhappy with the lumpy polish finish. My nails were also filed by a machine typically used for removing acrylic nails. So thanks to that my nails are now brittle and have already chipped more then once. And the worst part… to soak the gel polish off my nails my finger tips rested in a bowl of alcohol. I witnessed the non-sociable woman whom did my nails, pour the used alcohol into a plastic bottle clear for reuse. Needless to say, GROSS. Avoid this dive.
