Hi, normally I love this establishment because it is so close to my home but I was Dissatisfied twice with my nails. The first time my nails were done three broke in the same week and were lifting. In my book that’s a no and I also make sure I take the time out to make appointments for my nails because I amSo busy with work. I know there is a sign that says within 24 hours you can come back to fix your nails that needs to be changed . No ones nails should be lifting in a week . Secondly I went back to give the nail technician another chance and another nail broke within two weeks . Again unacceptable. The last time I was there I understood what the owner was saying in Spanish and made a remark of me choosing a neutral nail color . Very unprofessional on her part . I understand Spanish too. As much as I didn’t want to take my business else we’re I honestly had no choice. Just so you are aware you lost a very good client who tips very well and you need to make sure your naiLTechnicians know how to properly fill in gel nails. Also, when I went to another establishment they told me my nails were different lengths and were not even ! Also my eyebrows were not properly done there was still hair above both of my eyebrows . I was unaware of all of this ! To me they looked fine before I left then I realized later on. I work in a retail environmenTwere they critic on how your appearance is and your employee basically set me up for failure. I will not recommend this establishment to any of my coworkers, family, or friends.

I went to this salon for the first time today and I’m impressed. Leon did my nails. He actually had to remove a set I had put on last week by a different salon to redo them because they were pretty bad. It’s frustrating to pay to get your nails done and walk out disappointed. Leon did NOT disappoint. He shaped my nails the way nails are supposed to grow.... with a natural curve.. not flat like other salons shape. I will definitely be back to visit this salon. The staff is a pretty tight unit and it’s obvious they work well together, joking around while working. It was definitely a positive experience.

I called to make an appointment and the lady said she could see me now, so I dropped everything and ran over. When I arrived they acted like they didnt see me. I sat and waited patiently about 20 minutes to see if someone would acknowledge my presence and at least assure me that I would be seen soon. Nothing. Two women working on clients nails, glanced at me, giggled and continued to ignore me. A while later an older white woman came into the salon and before she could even sit down they were asking her if they could help her. She stated she had an appointment with Jennifer. I stood up to walk out and just as I opened the door, the one who had previously glanced my way and ignored me asked me if I wanted anything. I politely said no and walked out. Disgusting service and horrible behavior. If youre black dont go to this salon, as apparently they only put their best foot forward for certain clients. With all the nail salons in Middletown giving The Nail Bar steep competition, you would think they would treat all customers with equal respect and sincerity, since my money is just as green as everyone elses. I took my $130 to the salon down the block and got excellent service! I will be spreading the word about this nail salon in my newsletter and online.

I went inside and asked for a manicure and pedicure never got asked to specify on any. So I figured it’ll be okay and I can tell the person attending me.. the owner said to give her 15 mins to sort everything out we did not give an Attitude at all and waited patiently.. the owner then rushed us to choose who was going with who because she had clients who had appointments that were going to get there soon. Apparently they are more important than walk ins (clearly take more than they can handle)... so Manuela glues my nails on to start it bc she was also attending someone else which is fine but the owner gets an attitude because we didn’t specify our needs. But fine I wait and then Sandra does my nails and even though she isn’t an expert she did fine. However my nail got chipped and I was asked to hurry and Decide because she was being rushed if I wanted her to fix or not. So i decided not to. The lady kept repeating herself that we didn’t specify or else she wouldn’t have taken us (even though we are walk ins) and that even if we walked out it wouldn’t matter since we are 3 people and 5 people could easily walk in and replace us. She also offered everyone else water but me so that’s also rude of her. Which I work in the hospitality business and we are taught that the customer is always right and we should satisfy their needs and always have a smile. Clearly doesn’t share the same values. She kept running her mouth whenever we spoke about the situation because we were already mad and who wouldn’t get mad that the owner herself has a nasty attitude. Will never come back and it’s sad because she clearly takes more than she can handle...and gives more priority to her “Citas” which means “Appointments” in English... very disappointed on my experience..Goodbye now.

If i could rate this place as a 0 i would. The treatment i had was horrible, and what made it worse was that it was THE OWNER herself that was being rude and nasty. We were recommended by my mother in law so we decided to give it a try. I regret even walking in. She asked us all at the same time what we were getting done and we all said manni and pedis but she didnt hear me specifically say i wanted a gel mani. She said yes ok give me 15 minutes to sort it out. We sat there FOR AN HOUR!!!! We watched as she put in clients with appointments and people who didnt have appointments. My sister and mother in law finally get attended and i still sit there patiently waiting. After another half hour she tells me she doesnt have anyone to do my mani so i said ok but i at least want to do my pedi. At this time there was only 2 people sitting in the chairs and the rest were empty. She passed 4 more people ahead of me. 2 had appointments and the other 2 didnt. I didnt fuss or say anything i sat patiently for 2 hours and a half. It wasnt until my mother in law was done that i told her i didnt like or appreciate the service at the nail bar. And the OWNER then decides to butt in to justify why everything was taking so long and that it was OUR fault cuz we didnt specify what we wanted. Mind you she had one of her clients infront of her and instead of paying attention to her like she should have she decided to interrupt me and my in law. And started arguing with my in law. She literally had to tell the owner to leave us alone cuz she wasnt going to argue with her, we let her know that we were just as important and proceeded to tell her we would not comeback. And she had the audacity to say you 3 can leave and 5 more will come. At this point i was mad. I didnt get ANYTHING done. She was way over booked. Her regular clients were leaving and rescheduling because she was over booking the 2 people that can do full sets.. one of her clients on a wheel chair was even falling asleep. Very poor and rude service. If you guys decide to go make sure you go when that nasty owner isnt there. So sad because the place is beautiful and the staff was intimidated by her because she was pressuring them and telling them to hurry up. Their work wasnt as good as it should have been. Hopefully this can change.

I am a very loyal customer of the Nail Bar. I love the nail techs especially Kalety, but Do Not Let LEON that short man who sit in the second isle on the right, first seat, do AnyOnes EYE BROWS. He did my eye brows but first I asked him do you know how I like my eye brows and he said I know everything about your eyebrows and when I looked at my eye brows after he did them and They were a disaster, very skinny, uneven and I looked like Lion King. He did not apologize, talking about next time he will do better, and I still had to pay even after speaking to the Owner who was there and did nothing, but said next time free of charge. I left very disappointed and unsatisfied with their service. For this they lost a very, very, Loyal customer who patronized the shop since day one!. #learnhowtotreatyourcustomers

My first time was a good experience. I got a pedicure and they paid close attention to your feet, After the first visit i notice they seem to overbook, or take more than they can handle so less attention to your service. I got my nails filled and it came out horrible!! She didnt buff my nails after sanding them and did a French tip.. It looked horrible!! Could see the sanding marks all through the nails very disappointed havent been back since.
