Charge for any lil thing. Starts off with a standard fee( for example...I wanted a wheel alignment, I was told there was a standard fee of $49.99 which would be applied to the total) because they needed to do their check first if thats what I needed.I told them I was sure thats what I needed, then I was told my tires were worn and I needed the tires rotated for $19.99 which I declined.I went there a couple weeks later because my car was pulling again and itt would be i think $89 to check the problem. What nobody does checks after work has been done.(thought there was a guarantee?) I would have been happy to pay if that was not the problem, then a light bulb went off that told me to pressurize all my tires and that was the problemI saved myself almost a hundred dollars for uneven tire balance.

The staff always fix my issues with my vehicle. I never feel like they are overcharging me or feel pressured to do unrequited servicing on my veicle

They are not organized, and did NOT do the proper AC diagnostic for my vehicle

Brought my Range Rover to have them diagnose a noise with the suspension. They quickly found the problem and priced the part. In pricing the part from the dealer, they discovered the part had already been replaced by the previous owner and was under warranty from the dealer. They saved me money by sharing the info with me. I appreciate their honesty.

The Midas Touch They accidentally totaled my 92 Toyota truck. They wanted me to give them the key for $600.00. The managers husband brought some reality to the table & paid me $450.00 & let me keep what is left of it for my trouble. I wasnt going any further with it. Life is too short. I was mistaken, thought the truck was worth more. I told them they could fix it & make money. The manager said I was greedy & gave some other threats. Its my first amendment right to give you this true review. NO ONE will ever take that way from me. They are very bad mechanics also. I will never return.

This is the first time I have written a comment concerning my experience at any business. I have taken my car to this business for close to 15 years. In the end of May I went for my usual oil change. After I was home I noticed a gigantic amount of oil underneath my car. Next I checked my oil and there was not a drop of oil left in my car. Whoever serviced my vehicle forgot to put the gasket on the oil plug. I called the store immediately and they came to my house to give me another oil change. At this point, six weeks later, the management has yet to clean my driveway in a proper manner. This may sound picky but I have multiple oil stains covering my driveway. When speaking to the management. She acts like that this is an inconvenience. By the way, I was still charged for the oil change and now I will have to pay someone to pressure wash my driveway. They lost a loyal customer.

My last Suburban surpassed 300,000 miles, so I sold it and bought another Suburban 15 years later. The main reason why the Suburban lasted this long was due to Speedy-Midas located at 8835 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA. This family owned and operated business has always provided top quality service at a reasonable price. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil which helps make the engine last longer. With any older car, they make a list of things to address each visit. I often decline proactive service and catch it on the next trip to smooth the budget over time. This helps me establish a maintenance plan to keep the automobile last longer. I give this venue 5 stars! Thank You!!!!!

Took my mothers car for an oil change, she normally takes it to Wal-Mart and never had issues but closed due to COVID. When picking up the lady said we needed new wipers. Told her not interested. Next day tried using wiper fluid to clean windshield while driving. No fluid came out, strange cause couple of days ago I used wiper fluid (use it frequently, she parks under tree) and all was well. Checked fluid, filled it, still no fluid coming out. Checked, someone unhooked windshield fluid tube. NEVER has that happened. I guess if I wouldve agreed to change wipers they wouldve hooked it back up. Unprofessional not to mention dangerous because it caused the windshield to get dirtier and smudge. Never taking it there again and not recommending to anybody I know.

Do NOT go here for anything! Went in for a new brake tag and an oil change. They tried to scam me into buying two new tires saying that my front two tires were “3’s” and they need to all be “4’s” for them to issue me a brake tag. Told them I only wanted the oil change. Then they tried to get me to buy a new air filter and showed me a dirty air filter that I know wasn’t mine. Again told them to just do the oil change because they already had my car in the garage. Two days later, my car is leaking oil because they didn’t put the oil cap back on correctly. Good thing I read these reviews before my car completely overheated and ruined my engine. This place will DESTROY your car and milk you for everything you’re worth. This place needs to be shut down for good!

This place will try their hardest to get you to pay more than you need to. All they’re worried about is milking you for what they can get. They have absolutely no respect for their employees or customers. And they ask friends and family to leave good reviews without them coming in and seeing for themselves, giving false reviews to scam more people. The absolute worst SpeeDee Oil Change. Will forever go to the one on Clearview and W. Napoleon!

I had the greatest pleasure in meeting Nazalee (forgive my spelling) while I was getting an oil and tire change. I had AAA tow my car here and I was immediately assisted. I had two tires replaced in no time and my car was left clean. No greasy prints. I’ll never go anywhere else.

The oil change was fast and cheap. Service was good enough. I asked about my brakes and they didnt charge me for a diagnostic but told me that I needed new brake pads and front rotors. I appreciated the free opinion but the $450 price tag on the service seemed high so I didnt get it done there. A friend of my family did the job for $380.

I went to the shop in person and was greeted quickly. I asked for a manager or owner to speak with regarding a service issue. The woman who came out to speak with me was professional and courteous. She listened to my complaint, took my car back to inspect it, and came back with an apology. She assured me that the tech who mishandled my previous oil change was no longer with the shop and she set me up with a complimentary service for my next oil change. I was fired up and ready for a debate bit she disarmed me with a sincerely apology and true customer service.

They always look out for the customer. They do their very best and are very honest. I’ve dealt with them for over 20 years. I sent my friends to them. What more can I say 👍. Only reason it’s not five stars is because everyone can improve !

I would give this place no stars if possible. My daughter took her car there and ask for Freon to be put in her car which is the ac service they have for $99. After waiting there 3 hours they told her it wouldn’t be ready until the next day. The next day she goes back and they tell her it’s $1500. I called there and Beth was extremely rude and started yelling at me. They tried to get over on a young girl and got mad when it was exposed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The speedy on Williams is much more nicer and knowledgeable.

Every time I come here, they explain everything as best as possible, it all checks out with the mechanic in my family, and they are always very patient and friendly. I avoid my dealership like the plague, because this is the only place for quality work and honesty! I tell everyone I know to come here.

Ive been coming here for years for general maintenance and upkeep on my car despite not living that close to this location within the city. Whether it be for an alignment, new tires, brake pads, an oil change, or even a brake tag, you can count on getting fast and reliable service. Everyone working there is very friendly and honest and have always made me feel comfortable leaving my car in their hands. This is a family owned and operated business, which shows in the pride they take in delivering their customers the absolute best auto repair experience out there.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR BRAKE TAGS. It was an ugly rainy day for which I waited nearly 30 minutes for them to come check my tires and tell me I needed all new tires and then and only then could I get a brake tag? Um no thanks. The 2 gentlemen at Tropical car wash on transcontinental took care of my brake tag on a SATURDAY with no mumbo jumbo.

Very very helpful. Showed an interest in my situation as if it were their situation. Did everything in their power to help me and my family get our vehicle back on the road and did not stop until it was done. THANK U SPEEDEE FOR YOUR KIND AND WONDERFUL SERVICE. I bring all of my vehicles here and their not out just to make a buck but they actually take pride in their work and will accommodate as best as they can.

I do not recommend taking your vehicle here. I went in for an oil change 2 days ago and there was no employee in the lobby for 10 minutes, that was the first sign that I should have left. They took my keys without asking any other information. I waited for 45 minutes to an hour for an oil change. An employee came out trying to sell a air filter to the lady waiting before me. He gave her the whole speech about breathing in dirt. She declined. And no less then 15 minutes later another employee came out with the SAME EXACT filter and tried to sell it to me for $40. I was overcharged even with my coupon. Yesterday my brake lights wouldnt turn off and still wont. My check engine light came on today and I broke down, the steering cut out as well as the brakes. They broke the clamp / terminal on my battery and messed with my fuses. I came in for an oil change and left with more problems then I came in with. Please take your business elsewhere. This place is a joke and a scam.

Run Run Run fast away from this place... Went in for an oil change which also include checking other fluids. I got my oil change. About month later my check engine light popped on, and truck over heated. Come to find it was, because the tech didn’t place the cap on something and failed to fill the coolant. I basically paid for them to mess my vehicle up. I’m a single mom of 5 and can’t afford the extra.. I’m just looking people to do their jobs, and take care their customers!

Brought my car in on a Thursday they promised the car would be done by Saturday. Its Monday and Im still looking for rides to work. And to top it all off they never even bothered to call me and tell me they were behind. As a salaried member of management of a fortune 500 company I strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere. The worst repair experience Ive ever had. YOU BEEN WARNED.

Had to go to Duckworth garage to repair this stores’ brake repairs. This store sold dried out tires, put tires on rims backwards, and left a $36 part of the new front brakes off, causing a loud rattle that they attributed to the rear brakes. They were writing up an estimate for a full rear brake job when I drove off in disgust. I had been a customer since the place opened several years ago. However, the management changed and suddenly it seemed that oil change customers were customarily advised they needed big ticket repairs. Go sit in the store any Saturday and see for yourself. My brake “repairs” were the last straw. I have since ended my association with this SpeeDee / Midas for good.

Very courteous, and work was done in a very timely manner. Their printer was very noisy and they could use a water cooler and a new coffee maker.

The worst experience for an oil change. The people working here are so unprofessional and rude. The lady behind the desk asked me to go to the back of the line to help someone else. Because she was short handed. Whatever that meant. I stood in that line the first time for about 20 min. Because they were no where to be found in the waiting area. Giving one star is pushing it for me. I will not return.

I use them exclusively for my 5 cars. I like most all the mechanics, they have a few not knowledgeable but the other more knowledgeable guys back them up. So it works.

Ive always came to this place for anything my car needed.but I would have to say I will be NEVER going back!!I got there at 9am and didnt leave until 3pm and all I wanted was to install the splash guard under my front bumper ! Workers were telling me I NEEDED a part for my bumper and I didnt want it all I wanted was the part installed. Missed a day of work for staying there all day, on top of that miss communication from workers to owner. Its was ridiculous! Charged me $50 for the installed part and didnt EVEN install it right ! Had to go to a different shop who told me I didnt even need that part they wanted me to buy.ALSO THEY LEFT MY WHITE CAR ALL GRESSY WHEN I DIDT EVEN GET A OIL CHANGE!I have to give them 1 star JUST BEACUSE I HAVE TO TO POST THIS!
